Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves does not bow to modernity, building a combat system strongly anchored to tradition that will delight all fans of the arcade era. The very pleasant feeling of being in front of a revised version of the fighting games "of the good old days" is only partially ruined by the unwelcome guest characters and rather poor single player modes. With multi-year support already made official and a first season pass completely free, we hope that the title will be able to carve out a niche for itself within the hyper-competitive market of two-dimensional fighting games. Good luck SNK!

The steps forward made by Forza Motorsport in terms of the driving system and simulation care are evident, including the important work done to further improve the drivers' AI, which as far as we are concerned reaches peaks of excellence, like the visual presentation . Despite the renewed car upgrade system, the career mode proved to be more tied to the past than we hoped and at times seemed lacking in bite, but this shouldn't be misleading: we are faced with a solid, satisfying and fun, which certainly won't disappoint fans of racing games.

Knights in the Nightmare can’t be judged by numbers. It breaks the barriers between two different genres, melting elements and creating something really different. Sometimes it loses himself in the hugeness of the magnificent gameplay, but it’s a little sin, and the supporting elements, from the plot to the fantastic artistic direction, confirm the quality of the production. Hail to Sting, for the courage needed to innovate, and to Atlus, for taking the responsibility to believe in their vision.

Age of Mythology Retold is the dream of all fans of the old title by Ensemble Studios: it allows you to play what is basically a remake with a visibly improved technical department and many small new features on the gameplay front. It is therefore an opportunity to discover or rediscover this real-time strategy, perhaps taking advantage of its presence in the Game Pass console and PC catalog.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is, ultimately, a remake that achieves almost all of its goals: it streamlines a historically challenging experience, enhances the battle system with intelligent additions, and gives Toriyama's world a visual makeover that amplifies its charm without betraying its essence. Some remnants of the past remain – excessive verbosity, certain avoidable lulls, and a few missed narrative opportunities – but these flaws don't detract from the core of the work. Reimagined doesn't push the boundaries completely, it's true, but it consciously chooses not to in order to preserve the cozy and reassuring balance that defines Dragon Quest. And in the end, after dozens of hours spent exploring islands, different eras, and rewritten destinies, it's difficult not to acknowledge its fundamental merit: having done justice to a chapter often remembered more for its sheer size than for its value. Here, finally, Dragon Quest VII can be played, appreciated, and loved for what it has always been.

Borderlands, in this generation, is one of the few titles that dares with courage, exploring new styles of gaming without the constriction of its genre. The game owes its success to the articulated gameplay that sums GTA, Halo and WoW mechanics in a single pot. Titanfall offers unique gameplay within a genre, namely online shooters, that really needed something new. It's fast-paced but not schizophrenic, and many of its subtleties will require time and practice to come out in the open. On the other hand, this noteworthy step forward in gameplay depth should've been supported by a wider offering in terms of game modes, an aspect in which the game falls surprisingly short.

The work of revising the original format in 16: 9 is nothing short of commendable, while the content offer - which offers different and intriguing replayability solutions - seemed abundant and adequate to the list price. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a worthy heir to the Budokai Tenkaichi genre, because it offers spectacular battles, based on a "manageable depth" and suitable for players of all abilities. Battle Episode has some shortcomings and simplifications, but it also offers alternative events that are sometimes surprising, which can encourage the enthusiast to discover every secret of the mode, which could also be enriched with additional content in the future. From the little we tried it, the online dimension proved to be free of particular uncertainties, and the same can be said for the dear old split screen battles. The opponents' AI does its job, without reaching excellence, but on the other hand the roster of fighters is immense and strong with a 360-degree characterization of the individual fighters that is truly remarkable. Not all titles have aged the same, and some games have received more attention than others. Wanting to summarize the speech in numerical format, no remastering work in the collection, in our opinion, should obtain a rating lower than 8. However, the highest peaks, such as Final Fantasy IV and VI, undoubtedly deserve a vote closer to 9. This is why we believe that the number you see at the bottom of the article is a fair point of reference for evaluating the entire compilation.

The driving characteristics of the game, as could be expected, obviously remain the destructibility and the damage system, but within Wreckfest there is, fortunately, even something more: a complete game and more than worthy to be counted with merit.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is a solid, well-rounded game, well-executed in (almost) every way. Despite a difficult development cycle and a few poor design decisions, Samus Aran's return is a title that does justice to the saga's dazzling past and sheds new light on the future of Prime and the Metroid franchise as a whole. Eight years since that infamous logo was revealed during a Nintendo Direct over the summer; more than eighteen since the series' last iteration: the wait has been worth it.
