Jul 26, 2021If you’re a series newcomer, I’d suggest starting the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy first to see where it all began, but either way, Chronicles presents a truly exceptional experience within, one that was worth the wait. Between the new gameplay additions, thrilling story and added accessibility, this is without question my favourite entry so far and for that, I cannot recommend The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles enough.

Jul 26, 2021The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is well worth the wait, a welcome addition to the series that keeps everything that made the old games great while adding new elements to keep the series feeling fresh. The change in time and setting also forces it to rely less on familiar characters, and while long-time fans may miss series stalwarts such as Maya Fey, Miles Edgeworth, or Detective Gumshoe, it makes it an excellent place for newcomers to hop into the series. Whether you’re an old fan of the series, looking for a fun visual novel about courtroom intrigue, or just saw a few of the series memes flying around and want to know what it’s all about, you owe it to yourself to pick up The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.

Aug 27, 2021A beautiful, heavy on text, visual novel with interesting and innovative adventure elements wrapped up in a well-orchestrated story arc. While we would like to reprimand Capcom for this delay over the 3DS version, we are still happy to enjoy this little gem in more platforms.

Jul 26, 2021The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is, well, great Ace Attorney. The typical gameplay is embellished with some interesting new wrinkles, but it's the cast of characters and compelling narrative that make this a worthy spin-off. The story told across the pair of games is intriguing, you'll grow to love most of the characters, and there are some cracking, memorable cases to solve. This duo of games isn't doing much to push the franchise forward, but it's a very worthwhile adventure nonetheless. A great place to start for newcomers and a fascinating alternate story for fans, should you give this a shot? The answer is elementary.

Jul 29, 2021As Yakuza 0 did for that beloved franchise, so does The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles for its own. This pair of relatively new entries serve as the perfect entry point into the world of intense legal battles and even more intense reactions the Ace Attorney series is known for.

Jul 26, 2021The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a welcome addition to the series' roster, adding new mechanics (at least for us Westerners) to an established gameplay and enacting a compelling story.

Jul 26, 2021An exemplary remastering that includes two great graphic novels that make up an entire story arc. The best trials of the videogame scene are back and they do it with two titles that have never been published in our territory. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles takes us back to Victorian England to talk about crimes, corruption, legislation and many other topics treated through the prism of western romanticization that anime from Japan has done. To be something less redundant and more direct would have been wonderful and would have reduced the number of hours needed to complete it. Still, if you are able to overcome the language barrier, you will find a different videogame full of humor and second readings.

Aug 2, 2021This game feels nothing like an Ace Attorney game but at the same time it feels just like any other Ace Attorney game. Game of the Year for me so far.
