Zero Escape is a type of game that drives us to talk to other players, comparing the choices and externalizing our doubts, then unleashing a sociability that is rarely favored by a single player title with a structure like that.

Resident Evil Revelations is a quite accomplished mixture of the series' most reknown titles. Borrowing something from the first episode, others from the latest, it succeeds in creating a new formula, appealing to both the new and old fans of the franchise. Final Fantasy XV is a product that perfectly combines two opposing and irreconcilable souls. On the one hand there is the desire to revive a once great saga, an RPG focuses on the value of exploration, and on the amount of secondary activities and diversions. On the other hand there is a murky "dark side", made of an ineffective and bleak narrative. Considering the number of hours spent in the Lucis kingdom, you can not help but think that this narrative hitch represents after all a small part of the overall game experience.

Vessel of Hatred confirms the trend already established in the most recent seasons of Diablo 4, adding a lot of density to the fights, facilitating the leveling system and introducing a new and very fun class. Fans of the dark and oppressive atmosphere of the first chapters are destined to be disappointed, but players who want to dedicate themselves to the unconditional massacre of hordes of demons will find in this expansion a refined and organic progression system, new mechanics and new endgame content capable of entertaining them for several hours. The length of the campaign and the way in which it concludes the game events did not satisfy us, but there will be time with the next patches to correct the shot.

It was a real pleasure to send the Yokai back to their world. Ghostwire: Tokyo certainly has evident qualitative yields, sometimes leaving room for a certain playful and content redundancy, but as a whole it has a charisma that we believe deserves to be rewarded, either for the evocative reconstruction of Tokyo, or for the presence of a gameplay as simple as it is compelling, you want the attention paid to the writing and symbolism that characterize the stories of the city. Dragon's Dogma 2 is a title that thrives on exaggerations, to be tackled slowly with curiosity and a spirit of adventure. If you decide to accept the rules, the fantasy world created by Itsuno will give you a truly satisfying combat system, extremely creative and full of epic moments. The non-linear quests and an extremely dense map are elements that could have led Capcom's title towards heights of absolute excellence, however the ascent was slowed down by artificial intelligence that was not always performing, some small problems with the balance between classes and some too much cumbersomeness. Metaphor: ReFantazio has undoubtedly carved out a place for itself among the best proposals from ATLUS, which this time has finally found the courage to break out of its usual patterns and propose something vaguely different, especially in terms of setting and narrative structure. With a brand new job system, the combat system halfway between Persona and Shin Megami Tensei is one of the most successful elements of the package, as it offers a level of customization never seen before in an ATLUS game. Unfortunately, the eight years of development weigh like a millstone on the visual rendering of the product, which however defends itself with a valuable artistic direction and a musical accompaniment of the highest level. It will not be the authentic revolution that many expected, nevertheless Metaphor: ReFantazio remains a must-see for anyone who professes to be a lover of the JRPG genre.

Starfield is a mammoth and enveloping title, which in some ways represents the absolute pinnacle of Bethesda's production. In fact, in terms of quality and sizing, the playful narrative baggage of the work is a cut above the previous role-playing adventures of the US team, from which, however, the title also inherits some of its less convincing features. Aftermaths that certainly have something to do with the structure of a universe as broad as it is fragmentary, which due to its structural characteristics ends up weakening the call for exploration, which has always been one of the main ingredients of the Bethesda formula. Net of its limitations, however, the stellar epic proves to be an extraordinary crossroads of memorable stories and adventures, pieces of a proposal that is at times all-encompassing, capable of offering dozens - if not hundreds - of hours of entertainment.
