This is how you do DLC. Superb value for money that truly gives you a reason to revisit one of 2014's best games.

One of the best ever examples of how to do DLC right, being both good value for money and introducing several new features to the parent game.

It's hard to complain when the future of Mario Kart has been expanded so graciously, and now that one of 2014's best games has just been made that little bit better.

By industry standards for post-release content, Nintendo is killing it. This is a must-buy for Mario Kart 8 players, and I'm hopeful the company will continue pulling in other franchises going forward.

It's a great package, offered for the right price. Fans of the game should buy and don't look back.

Nintendo deserves props for using DLC as an opportunity to add to an existing game package, rather than sell something that should have been in the original release in the first place. It's a fine line to tread, but Nintendo's showing the other publishers how DLC should be done.

Nintendo’s first downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 is a welcome addition that can rekindle the players’ dedication to the game. Pushing for more contents from outside the Mario universe is a very good idea and expectations are high for the next DLC batch.

I love all of the characters, vehicles and tracks! Sure Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are unnecessary but seriously. I don't care about them. In fact, I don't care about the character roster in any game. I'm one of the very few to do so! But anyway, BUY THE DLC IF YOU CAN!!! (AND WANT!) Expand

This does not in any way feel like something that was simply ripped from the main game and sold separately. It's an addition to the main game you can buy if you enjoyed the base game itself. All of the added content has been created with the same polish and sheen you would expect in Mario Kart 8, and while not all of the added courses are absolute winners, I have to give a special shoutout to the F-Zero and Legend of Zelda Track, which showed much more respect to their source material than I expected them two.

For 8 dollars, it is a steal.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Not as good as DLC Pack 2. This pack gives you 3 new characters, Link (oh yeah!) and 2 unneeded characters, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. I mean come on. It gives you 4 new vehicles, Blue Falcon, B Dasher, Master Cycle, and the Tanooki Kart. They are all pretty good. And then there are the tracks. The pack gives you 2 new cups, the Triforce Cup and the Egg Cup. The Triforce Cup gives you 4 new tracks, Wii's Wario's Goldmine (best track in the pack), SNES's Rainbow Road (2nd best track), Hyrule Circuit (3rd best track), and Ice Ice Outpost (possibly the most boring track I have ever played). The Egg Cup gives you 4 new tracks, GCN's Yoshi Circuit (eh, okay), Excitebike Arena (pretty okay, actually pretty relaxing), Dragon Driftway (boring, nothing really goes on), and Mute City (okay). All of the tracks have great graphics and good and okay music but this pack, for the most part, is boring. DLC Pack 2 is way better. Expand

I especially loved Dragon Driftway. Also Wario's Gold Mine is awesome. The characters are what I hate about it. TWO THIRDS of them are CLONE CHARACTERS!!!!! The karts are good looking. I'd recommend this pack for the tracks. Not the characters. Expand
