Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is an action adventure of great depth, well worthy of the name it bears. Moving away from its “shooter” comfort zone, MachineGames has built a fresh and engaging adventure, embellished with a maniacal attention to detail and supported by a palpable passion for the original material. Moving from the classrooms of Marshall College to the snowy peaks of the Himalayas, the title's campaign expertly carries out what is the main task of the production: putting users in the shoes of Indiana Jones in the context of a story similar to the classic adventures of the archaeologist. Yes, along the way it is easy to notice more than one rough edge both on the gameplay and technical side, but the overall balance is still exceptional, especially if you are a fan of George Lucas' character. In short, Microsoft and MachineGames have hit the mark, and it was not easy.- Everyeye.it

The Gust Corporation team managed to surprise us again, completing the phenomenal evolution process to which its IP had undergone starting from the first Atelier Ryza. Despite having inherited most of the mechanics from the second episode, the last fundamental piece of the trilogy has the merit of having speeded up and streamlined every single aspect of the production, giving the player a decidedly more engaging rhythm. Both the narrative and the gameplay boast a depth never touched before by the Atelier series, which however continues to sin from a graphic point of view. Although the title is the result of cross-generational development, at least on PlayStation 5 we would have expected something more. Overall, however, Ryza's last summer is confirmed as a fun JRPG capable of giving rather strong emotions.- Everyeye.it

Compelling, cerebral and elegantly deep, Fire Emblem: Three Houses marries the tactical acumen of its turn-based battles with a management dimension that exalts even more the role of the strategic spirit of Intelligent Systems. At the center there are three abundant campaigns and an extraordinary cast of characters: an indispensable tactical experience for the "elite fighters", but on which hides the shadow of a visual frame between high and low. Nevertheless, the new Nintendo exclusive goes into the field proclaiming itself the next 2019 Switch champion.- Everyeye.it

Returnal is complex, it is punitive, it is mysterious. It is a powerful act of courage, a “leap into the void” that could inaugurate a bright future for Housemarque or put his work at risk. Recklessness and ambition are not enough to break through, but in this case they are accompanied by a great creative vision, solid production values and a meticulous and calculated design. Returnal does not reach the perfection of Hades, but is destined to leave his mark on the Roguelike landscape, letting himself be played, watched, discovered again. Total War: Pharaoh truly represents a grand return for the famous saga of real-time strategy games. The attention dedicated to a purer form of story is evident, in a distillation of mechanics that evoke the greatness of previous titles without neglecting the necessary improvements that a series with over 20 years of history requires. The abandonment of myths, legends and fantasy elements is an appreciable move that will make historical fans of the saga happy, allowing them to completely immerse themselves in historical settings with an authentic feeling. In Total War: Pharaoh, you can recognize numerous familiar elements now cemented in Total War lore, alongside new additions that enhance historical immersion and bring freshness to Creative Assembly's catalog. The surprising optimization of the game guarantees the stability necessary to make an experience free from hitches or slowdowns shine, capable of effectively immersing the player with respectable views.- Everyeye.it

Cris Tales is a delightful adventure, which will not fail to satisfy players looking for a fairytale and well-structured experience. The JRPG born in Colombia is a small jewel capable of bringing charismatic characters and well-conceived twists to the stage, without however renouncing a stimulating gameplay and a leading artistic sector. With Cris Tales, Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK touch excellence, missing it only by a whisker, for an epic journey through time that we feel we can recommend without reservation. The authors of the epic of Crisbell and companions thus add a new Indie to the realm of small independent pearls, for an IP and a concept that we hope will find further iteration at the Colombian team studios.- Everyeye.it

Ultimately, Mario Kart World is one of the best exponents of the series, embellished with a wide range of new content and structure designed to freshen up the formula but characterized by the same, exciting gameplay that made the brand great. It is a shame, in this sense, that the inclusion of the (disappointing) Free Race mode and the removal of some of the most beloved features of Mario Kart 8 such as the 200cc category and anti-gravity races do not allow the title to take flight towards absolute excellence but it is still a great way to test out your new console, especially in the company of a few friends.- Everyeye.it

Overall, Saros manages to build a clear and coherent identity, even when not all of its solutions are entirely convincing. Housemarque pushes hard to evolve from Returnal, expanding the narrative component, strengthening progression, and introducing systems that seek to make the experience more modular and less punishing, without however distorting its roguelike nature. The Eclipse, with its corruption and constant impact on gameplay and atmosphere, remains the true nerve center of the experience: a mechanic that doesn't simply serve as a backdrop, but is embedded in every choice, every fight, and every risk. Not everything is perfectly balanced—some mechanics feel harder than necessary, and others are less refined than the overall ambition—but the end result is still a game that knows when to be spectacular and when to tighten its grip. And when Saros truly works, it does so brilliantly: turning every playthrough into a precarious balance between control and chaos, decision-making and improvisation. A formula that is not always indulgent, but which hardly leaves anyone indifferent.- Everyeye.it

Detroit: Become Human is without doubt the best work and climax of David Cage’s career thus far. World of Warcraft isn't overturned or revolutionized by The War Within, but that's okay. The Activision Blizzard MMORPG lives in a world of its own, with loyal players who see it as a second home and appreciate the timely innovations, the increase in quality of life and certain simplifications of old mechanics, but without exaggerating. The simple and colorful aesthetics are untouched, as are the cornerstones, missions, and many other gameplay elements that now distinguish the title from its competitors. The War Within doesn't want to eradicate these elements: sometimes it evolves them, like with Dynamic Flight and the consequent vertical layering of the maps. Or like with the Delves, minor dungeons suitable for hit-and-run sessions and perfect for leveling up in peace. Other times, however, it indulges them even if it modifies them, like with the Heroic Talents that deepen the builds without changing them completely. As we wait for the next expansions of the Worldsoul Saga, the future of World of Warcraft seems increasingly bright and inviting, even if it will unfold in the underground depths of Azeroth.- Everyeye.it

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel worthy of the name. Respawn has expanded and improved everything that he had convinced us of his predecessor, starting with a well-written story and not without significant twists near the end credits. As far as the playful mix is concerned, Cal Kestis' new journey has proved to be an excellent action adventure, with a rich and layered combat system and a truly satisfying exploratory component. Frostpunk 2 is a great experience, with solid graphics, interface improvements and an enviable strategic depth. The transition from the role of Captain to that of Steward introduces a completely new dimension in the management of the city, where power is no longer unilateral, but distributed, which calls the player to face crises, challenges and political games. However, the situations in which you have to deal with a myriad of emergencies at the same time, which are created in ways that are sometimes artificial, end up being oppressive, to the detriment of a feeling of healthy involvement that fortunately the production of 11 Bit Studios knows how to generate very well.- Everyeye.it

Pokémon Pokopia is the best pocket monster video game of the Switch era. If you enjoy gameplay that combines life simulation and construction, the definition could be expanded even further, making it one of the most interesting Pokémon titles ever. It's not a revolutionary game: it's simply a spin-off that confirms the untapped potential of a franchise that has so far been torn between highs and lows. The choice to rely on "bricks" makes the gameplay and technical structure more manageable, while the artistic direction may not be to everyone's taste. Seven years after the release of Kingdom Come Deliverance, we find ourselves closing the examination of its sequel with similar considerations, but to be placed in the context of an overall better epic, supported by writing and a quest design of monumental quality. Yes, despite the expansion of the team and the greater resources available to the project, the sequel by Warhorse Studios once again shows rather evident roughness that, albeit to a lesser extent, prevent the title from fully revealing its extraordinary potential, but the proposal still stands at truly high levels, which make the title a "must have" for fans of role-playing games. The organic nature of the proposal, its unique character and the excellent relationship between quantity and quality make Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 a precious experience, which clearly reaffirms the talent of the Prague studio.- Everyeye.it

Civilization 7 marks a true revolution for the saga, a profound change that challenges tradition and, at the same time, manages to preserve its essence. Firaxis has had the courage to rewrite the rules, pushing beyond the boundaries of the formula consolidated for over 30 years to the edge of stagnation. The innovations are not without imperfections: some systems, such as trade and resource management, may be difficult at first, and the fracture between the eras can leave a feeling of confusion for those looking for a more fluid and coherent progress. However, the seventh chapter of the legendary strategic series has still had the power to capture us with original challenges, sometimes complex, but equally stimulating. The game is able to give satisfaction in abundance and the hours already spent in this chapter testify to the talent of Firaxis, capable of holding firm to the throne of video game strategy. Recent attempts to undermine the reign of Civilization have been unsuccessful, and this new chapter proves that, despite the evolutions, the essence of the series is more alive than ever: Civilization has changed, Civilization is back.- Everyeye.it

The Outer Worlds 2 represents both a confirmation and a significant evolution from the previous installment in the series from Obsidian Entertainment, a team that has proven adept at crafting compelling role-playing experiences. The sequel to the original title not only expands the saga's already rich and distinctive universe, but does so with impressive attention to detail and player choice. Sure, the technical side isn't cutting edge, and there's still plenty of room for improvement in some aspects, like combat. Despite the refined combat system, updated graphics engine, slightly more interesting plot, and the inclusion of open-field gameplay, Nioh 3 hasn't become a completely different experience from its predecessors. Choosing to embark on a journey through time with the protagonist Tokugawa Takechiyo, you'll face terrifying monsters of all sizes, who will fight you with all their might and sometimes seem unfair, impossible to overcome... unless you put in the effort and utilize all the tools the game offers. The score you see below was incredibly difficult to assign, as we wanted it to reflect both the numerous improvements and the consistently high level of commitment required to enjoy everything else: the landscapes, the design of the bosses and common enemies, the powerful Japanese voice acting, and the many graphic details that depict myths and legends, history and fantasy. In short, Nioh 3 is still Nioh: incredibly challenging, but also incredibly satisfying.- Everyeye.it

The formula is the one you already know, so if you have grown tired of the saga, this chapter probably won't get you back in the game. On the other hand, Syndicate has some interesting twist and turns in the gameplay, it offers an incredible Victorian London to explore and some very well built missions along the way that will keep the fans busy for many hours.- Everyeye.it

The fourteenth episode of King of Fighters is a fighting game that goes straight to the point. It doesen't get lost in useless graphical showoff, and gives back to the fans the good old combat system, flawless and huge.- Everyeye.it

Competent action-platform, curious "double-face" metroidvania, of ancient origins but with exceptional and unpredictable flickers of contemporaneity.- Everyeye.it

Nadeo nailed it again, and the classic gameplay still works as a charm on console. Menus are overcomplicated and it might take time to take the best out of the editor, but there's a lot of fun to be had here.- Everyeye.it

More than a simple DLC, the latest chapter of the Uncharted series, The Lost Legacy, gives us a long-lasting, varied, and exciting adventure, clearly proving that the series is perfectly able to work even without its iconic main character.- Everyeye.it

Behind a lovely cartoony art-style, Popcap is once again hiding a great gameplay formula, enriched with new classes and gameplay modes. Even single player is now supported, and that makes GW2 much more than just a "more of the same".- Everyeye.it

We say it immediately and without too many turns of words: MotoGP 20 is the best game in the series and, in our humble opinion, one of the best two-wheeled racing ever.- Everyeye.it

The adventure offered by A Plague Tale Requiem is a homecoming, an incessant search for a home, a story made up by a collective in love with its characters. Net of the team's unquestionable desire to overcome the first chapter in every sense, adopting courageous and intriguing solutions, the edges are not lacking but such an impressive journey from a visual and narrative point of view certainly deserves to be experienced, especially by those who have already enjoyed the debut of the series.- Everyeye.it

Rather than a full blown sequel, Splatoon 2 frankly feels more like an (impressive) extension of the original episode, especially if you've been splatting around since 2015. Players of the Wii U chapter will truly feel at home, with a sense of familiarity that will certainly replace the stunning surprise effect that made the franchise so unique, while the newcomers will have the pleasure to experience one of the best and most original shooters ever created (one the perfectly embodies the so called “Nintendo Difference”). That said, with more courage and better online options this sequel would have been even more impressive.- Everyeye.it
