It's a testament to how crowd funding and community-driven development can really lead to something good, if there's a strong idea at the base. It's not perfect, especially when it comes to the balancing of the simulation, where some categories and specific models drive far better than others, and it still lacks performance optimization, but it's a unique driving experience, bestowed with unprecedented variety.

Shadow of Mordor is the utter proof that to build an engaging, deep and fun experience you don't have to innovate - not necessarily. There are small flaws, especially in the repetitiveness of the mission structure (especially in the second half) and in the open world maps, which are too empty even for Mordor. But that's not nearly enough to spoil the fun, and the Nemesis System is something every developer should look into (and probably will).

We would have appreciated a more refined campaign in many ways, but that still doesn't overshadow the exceptional work done by the collective known as Battlefield Studios on the multiplayer front. Battlefield 6 is one of the most entertaining shooters of recent years and marks the return of the franchise in style. The class system, destructible environments, and wide range of maps and modes provide an extraordinary foundation for what's to come, considering that the plans for post-launch support are already well-defined and suggest the developers' desire to keep players engaged over time. Now all that's left is to get our hands on the highly anticipated Portal and learn more about the much-discussed Battle Royale mode, which we hope will arrive soon to make the offering even richer and more varied.

In essence, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown convinced us almost without reservations. The adventure of Sargon and the Immortals in the heart of Mount Qaf is, without mincing words, one of the best metroidvanias around and yet another proof of the talent of Ubisoft Montpellier. It is a rather rich package in terms of content, equipped with a playful structure that works excellently in all its parts and embellished with a combat system that is at times galvanizing. While waiting for the announced remake of the unforgettable first chapter of the trilogy that began in 2003 (also lost in the Sands of Time?), fans of the series can rest easy: The Lost Crown is a delightful new beginning for the saga , a project that exudes all the passion instilled by its developers and a first, hopeful look at the future for one of the most important series of our beloved medium.

Ultimately, the remake of Super Mario RPG presents itself to fans in an exceptional graphic format that covers the same gameplay that had projected the original Legend of the Seven Stars into the Olympus of the best JRPGs in the history of the medium. Although we understand how someone can turn up their nose at a gaming system that has essentially stopped thirty years ago, in our opinion it was essential that a game so important for Super Mario's 'career' reach a new audience in the most faithful form possible to the one that appeared on SNES in 1996. After all, Mario RPG is a very important piece in the evolutionary mosaic of the modern age of video games, one of those works of art that should be handed down to posterity and which deserve to be preserved for as long as possible. This is the best opportunity to fill any gap in your cultural background as a gamer.
