Resident Evil Village Gold Edition

Winters' expansion it's an interesting add-on, even if it pales in front of what Capcom did with Resident Evil 7. It adds far less content, less varied and less surprising. And it's a shame, because Capcom have had way too much characters and stories to unfold, starting with the beloved Lady Dimitrescu.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition boasts a really wide range of content, able to satisfy the tastes of a wide range of fans. Fans of the iterations of the series in the third person will find a good reason to relive the exploits of Ethan Winters once again, while those who do not hold up too well the tension could use the new view to manage it better, so as to recover an adventure with some. less focused idea but with an enveloping atmosphere, a level playful substrate and a visual presentation of great caliber. In addition to the chance to experience the final piece of the Winters family mosaic with Shadows of Rose, Resident Evil fans can have fun - and lots of it! - with Additional Missions, a Mercenary expansion that uses iconic and often ruthless fighters to put dark smiles on the faces of those who take on their shoes.

An excellent package for Resident Evil fans that brings the continuation of the story and a couple of features that should have been there at the time of the release. Village is now a slightly more complete title, and the good future of the series is slowly becoming more certain.

Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose is a worth story expansion to the game. Though it is rough around a few edges and brushes over some interesting points the DLC is a horrifying and emotional ride. Though short, it is a fitting end to the Winters' family story.
