Feb 27, 2026Resident Evil Village is an essential Switch 2 pick for anyone who wants survival horror tension with blockbuster action.
-
Feb 24, 2026The Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Village stands up there with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard as being an absolutely solid port for the hybrid console. The frame rate is almost rock solid throughout, and while a good chunk of lower-resolution textures is still present, they aren't as noticeable as before. The core game is still excellent, but it caters more to the action crowd like Resident Evil 4 did instead of the true survival-horror vibe of the previous title. Those who only own Nintendo consoles but love horror will get a kick out of this title, especially since it comes in a more reliable form than the original Switch version.

Mar 1, 2026Resident Evil 7 and Village deliver a surprisingly solid experience on Switch 2, showcasing the RE Engine's impressive adaptation to the hybrid console. Resident Evil 7 runs almost flawlessly, presenting a largely uncompromised version; however, Village frequently struggles with unstable framerates in open areas and displays visual compromises, yet its confined sections perform fantastically well.

Feb 23, 2026Resident Evil Village for Nintendo Switch 2 is a well-made port, although it's lacking the exclusive mouse feature which we wish they included.
-
Feb 27, 2026Resident Evil Village’s Switch 2 port is nothing short of a masterclass, showcasing what the hardware is capable of, while giving you the chance to experience another great RE game.
-
Feb 23, 2026Although more action packed than its predecessor, Resident Evil Village is a hell of a spectacle and very impressive on the Switch 2.

Mar 18, 2026I absolutely recommend playing Resident Evil Village, but probably not on Switch 2. It’s a fantastic game, and it can be found very cheap on PS5 these days during sales. Paying full price for the Switch 2 version — technically worse for around three times the price and the handheld version is simply bad — instead of playing it cheaper on a more powerful console is actually the scariest thing I’ve seen since we got given the code. If you do pick it up on the Switch, do yourself a favour and keep it docked at least.
