Remothered: tormented fathers is a great stealth-horror game, in which every step could be the last one. During all the adventure you will feel the breath of the death on your neck, but runnig away is definitely the best way to embrace the darkness. A must have for all the fans of hard-core horror games in which the enemy is the stalker like Clock Tower.

The Final Fantasy new brawler game hosts a reunion of many main characters of the major series. The combat system is quite complex and the 3 vs. 3 fights are always spectacular. Final Fantasy fans will be amazed by the great roster, the customization and the summoning of the Guardian Forces. Who is not much into the series, on the other hand, could be frustrated by the uncommon and slow paced mechanics.

LocoRoco 2 Remastered is proof that certain games never get old. Funny as nine years later, thanks to the high definition, the game amazes even more easily.

Fumito Ueda's masterpiece comes back in a glorious Full HD/4K with better controls and better graphics, in an overall improved experience. It was “Kind of magic” more than 10 years ago; it's nearly perfect magic now.

With this Arcade Edition, Street Fighter V reaches its ultimate and final form. Both in single player and multiplayer, the game is finally enjoyable and fun for both fans and newcomers.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2D fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. So far it shall be considered as the best Dragon Ball videogame thanks to its graphic design accuracy, adrenalinic gameplay and awesome multiplayer.

Monster Hunter finally arrives on the new generation consoles. Its soul is intact: it is always divided in two main sectors, the preparation and the hunt, and it’s fun as ever. The hunts are long and secondary quests or activities, like collecting the pieces to craft armors and weapons, could take months. The monsters are now moved by the most complex and smooth animations we've ever seen in a videogame, but maps are not so big and interactive. Monster Hunter: World is a big step up for the series, not for the current videogames scenario.

The biggest part of this game, like the environments or the 3D models, is the same that we've found in its predecessor. The story is afflicted by a lot of exhausting dialogues and the narration can be enjoyed only by a youngest ones. Luckily the growing and the combat systems are solid and funny, recommended to all Digimons' fans impatient to create they're own group of killing machines.

Lost Sphear is an amazing comeback for the traditional JRPG genre; despite its being almost perfect in reprucing the atmospheres of the past, it is a great tribute, but it lacks a little bit of innovation and personality to be considered a fully succesful game.

A short but enjoyable horror experience, enriched by the Until Dawn-esque “Butterfly Effect” feature.

Seven: The Days Long Gone is a unique mixture of genre and mechanics (action/RPG, stealth, parkour) that could have been a real revolution for the entire isometric RPG genre. Despite a lot of interest ideas the execution has to many flaws to really accomplish all of its ambitions.

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle fails in so many basic aspects of the fighting genre that it will be hard to enjoy the game, even if you a are die hard Touhou fans. Gameplay is repetitive and boring, the game falls short on contents and graphics feels so dated that this could be easily mistaken for a N64 or at least for an early PS2 game.

Gorogoa is a wonderful and clever puzzle game, a little gem unlike any other and a fantastic experience. A strange and unique tale told through enigmas, that everyone should try.

Before the Storm represents a big appetizer for what comes next, but it’s something we already enjoyed (the original Life is Strange). Ups and downs in the rhythm of the story and a misuse of the best narrative and emotional moments don’t allow the prequel to be as memorable as the original game. The most beautiful moments of the experience are dimmed by a story that can’t really express itself the way it should and reach the long-waited climax the player would expect.

A fascinating and dark tale mixed with stealth/survival gameplay elements. With a little bit extra it could have been one of the best horror games of 2017.

Spellforce 3 simplifies and merges with success RPG and RTS mechanics. The game is funny but there are some balancing issues during the strategy phase, with an AI that is too aggressive and overwhelming. Some bugs and other little technical problems do not sink the production at all, but prevent it from reaching the top.

Bridge Constructor Portal proves to be a very amusing engineering game in which to exploit physics and gravity to help the Bendies find the exit.

Ode is half emotional experience and half a puzzle platform. Unfortunately, none of the parts is memorable enough and the game is unable to give to the player an unforgettable experience.

An interesting input and gorgeous musics aren’t enough to make Finding Paradise a pleasant and emotional experience like To The Moon was. Believable characters are shadowed by a linear and repetitive structure and by a story unable to stand up on its own.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds did not invent the battle royale genre but is the game that exploits it better than anyone else. With 30 millions players and after becoming a phenomenon on Twich, it's one of the biggest surprises of 2017 but is still far from being considered a masterpiece.

Battle Chasers Nightwar is a very interesting JRPG with high production values and a deep and rewarding gameplay. Too bad that the gameplay gets marred by awful grinding that basically ruins it and transforms many hours of fun into a repetitive chore.

Asmodee Digital has created the new videogame on Steam and Google Play based on the Carcassonne boardgame, keeping the soul of the brand unaltered.

Mario Party: The Top 100 is a collection of the best mini-games featured on the previous chapters of the series. It should be a sort of definitive Mario Party game, but at the end of the day Is just a more of the same, and it lacks of any kind of depth. At least, it is possible to enjoy most of the game modes in multiplayer up to 4 players with only one copy of the game, adding great value to a game that maybe shouldn’t be sold at full price.

The new content would be more than enough to guarantee Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package a rating higher than the previous edition. Unfortunately, some of the defects found on Xbox One and PC have not been fixed.

Although the adventure offers an interesting prologue and some memorable moments, at least for horror lovers, the game is ruined by a reduced longevity, by the poverty of the gameplay and by the repetition of always identical mechanics.

DOOM VFR is a great FPS designed for virtual reality. The excellent graphics and the gameplay, similar to that seen in the 2016 reboot, make this game a must for fans of the saga.

The new Steep expansion is dedicated to the new Winter Games of PyeongCheng, in South Korea. It includes Japan too, with several new competitions and an entire new land. It is a nice addition, doesn’t change the game’s nature but it’s a good reason to get back to Steep.

Farming Simulator 17: Platinum Edition is the largest add-on to the Giants Software's game. The Platinum Edition introduces a new south american territory, the Estancia Palacio, a new cattle, the Brahman, and the sugar cane cultivation.

The new Nintendo mobile game is an installment of the Animal Crossing series. Pocket Camp is funny, engaging and faithful to the franchise. Crafting system simply works and microtransactions are not an issue. If you loved the old ones, maybe the beloved GameCube chapter, you will still love it.

Ben 10's latest videogame is a black hole that swallows the good ideas of this brand: the campaign is not catchy in any way and lasts less than a dinner party. And the the gameplay could give little satisfactions, but doesn't use properly the transformations available.

Injustice 2 for PC is a great porting of a great game. The most iconic characters of the DC universe shine brighter on the master race edition, that can count on 4K resolution and a stable 60 fps framerate. This title is highly recommended to all fans of fighting games and passionate comics devourer.

The first Triple-A RPG on VR is far from flawless on the technical side, but it can be proudly attached to Resident Evil 7 to show your friends what wonders this technology is capable of, despite its young age.

L.A. Noire is not the best choice for a HD remaster, but it’s still a charming and intriguing experience.

Star Wars Battlefront II is a solid shooter true to the Star Wars universe, able to replicate the most famous battles in Lucas’ universe.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a series that doesn't change in any way the Telltale's style. The game mixes the comicality of the brand with a more adult and sentimental side, a choice that can be appreciated by a lot of players, but not by all of them. Anyway the title is definitely a good purchase for all those loving the Marvel's galactic heroes and the narrative style of the Californian developers.

Sonic Forces tries to offer the best elements of previous 2D and 3D Sonic games, but the end result is a confusing gameplay experience. Though the sense of speed is back and it’s great, the player gets interrupted after every stage by long and uninteresting cut-scenes. And the same old problems of 3D Sonic games are still present. Technically speaking, the game is at least solid and runs smooth at 60fps.

Culdcept Revolt is the last chapter of a twenty years old franchise. The gameplay is surely bound to the standard of the series, though there are some brand new elements and support for local and online multiplayer. It’s surely a niche game, and even if it could feel great at times, luck factor has too much impact on game mechanics, resulting in a good amount of frustration.

Despite some limitations, Doom is back once again: Bloody, intense, brutal, fast-paced... and now also portable.

.hack is back with the remaster of the G.U. series, adding a brand new chapter. Unfortunatley, the old feeling of the mechanics is now obsolete and not so fun anymore. The big value of the plot remains, but is difficult to suggest if you are not a fan of the JRPG style.

Need for Speed Payback is a very fun open-world racing arcade game. There's plenty to do: many different type of races and a huge world with night & day cycle to explore, full of events, collectibles, opponents to challenge and one of the best car customization in the series.

The Frozen Wilds is undoubtedly high level content, albeit short. The gameplay and technical sector are still of a high standard, but the new setting, the new types of machines and the love of adventure, even in a land covered with ice, are particularly striking.

Super Lucky's Tale has no special talents that will be remembered for a long time. Certainly, it was also an inexpensive marketing choice to get out of the game so short of Super Mario Odyssey, which is a title with which to inevitably make a direct confrontation, and between the two platforms, Super Lucky's Tale comes out beaten.

A solid, complete and classic Call of Duty experience, blessed by a smooth multiplayer and a scary nazi-zombie. Headquarters and War Mode are nice additions.

Considering the budget price, this off-road driving simulation is truly a must for lovers of the genre, but also for those looking for something different and a bit extreme than the usual racing that can be too easy.

The complete package with a good price / performance ratio leads us to a total unchanged judgment compared to what was written in the console review.

The New Colossus is a perfectly crafted FPS experience. It can stop your breath, slap your face, make you laugh and inject adrenaline. All of these within a single hour of gameplay. It’s a game built on emotions.

In the first appearance of Super Mario on Switch, Nintendo revives all its 3D games of the past in one unmissable title.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is one of the best open-world action games of this generation. The setting is quite evocative, the plot is engaging and there are also good endgame activities. The Creed is reborn.

The game has too many bugs and does not introduce anything new in the farming simulation genre.

NBA Live is far from perfection, but it shows the sparks of the future arcade contender of NBA 2K.

Rogue Trooper could have been a good TPS during the 2006, but right now a lot of mechanics smell of stale. Technically speaking, the job on textures, light and models is worthy, but animation and and some gameplay elements don't allow the game to compete with other modern shooters.

WWE 2K18 is a recommended purchase for WWE fans who, thanks to the love for this sport, will surely find a fun and rewarding experience. The rest of the players, least interested in the show, take into account the defects that do not allow WWE 2K18 to achieve excellence.

Fire Emblem Warriors is an hack & slash musou developed by Omega Force and produced by Koei Tecmo. It shares the DNA with Dynasty Warriors series, but the game is set in Fire Emblem universe. The strategic component is well developed and the fan service is very good, though the game feels tedious in the long run, and technically speaking we saw much better on the Nintendo Switch.

Gran Turismo Sport breaks from the standard of the series and focuses on online races and eSports, but in the process loses some content. Technically speaking, the game is a real masterpiece and pushes the PS4 hardware to its limits, though dynamic weather is not present. Even if the physics model is upgraded from GT6, there are still old problems, but driving is still very fun with a good driving wheel.

AER Memories of Old is a well-crafted adventure which leads the player in a charming universe full of myths and stories to discover. Who loves explorative games is in the right place despite some evident cliché which troubles a game that tries to follow the path mark by the Journey-type game in a different way, but fails in some aspects.

The Long Dark is a masterful survival game that manages to craft a rich and emotional experience but lacks in providing objectives and narrative hooks to keep the game interesting and meaningful.

Despite some evident flaws in the combat sections, Figment is a delightful puzzle adventure which dealt with some serious topic through an inspired light-hearted approach. Kind of a mixture of videogame, musical and a great animated movie.

Gundam Versus is fun, but for a short while. Ideal online, but as long as the developers succeed in enhancing the infrastructure on which their creature is based.

Dungeons III is a game with a double soul: the first is the dungeon management like Dungeon Keeper, the other one is a real time strategy combat oriented. The mix works great and the humor that permeates the whole production makes every moment played fun.

Elex has been a highly underexposed experience with a huge amount of bugs, without a characterizing element that could elevate the game against the competition.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole is the worthy successor of The Stick of Truth, with a new and deeper combat system that allows to fight with a party of four characters and plan more complex strategies. A super funny RPG that cannot miss in every South Park fan's shelf.

Baja: Edge of Control, 2XL's 2008 sim-racing game, returns after nine years in a revamped HD version addressing the frame rate issues of the original game. A title recommended to fans of legendary Mexican competition Baja 1000 and dirt-track races.
