PC is without a doubt the definitive way to play Destiny 2, if you have a system that can handle what the game demands of it. Now that the game has launched across the board, updates and new content will be available on all platforms at once, so PC players don’t have to worry about being left behind. As long as Bungie continues to support the game and ensure that the PC community isn’t ignored in favor of the PS4 or the Xbox One family of systems, Destiny 2 is a game that I will be playing religiously for years to come.

Though it is held back by a severe lack of social options and PC-specific sandbox tuning, Destiny 2 on PC looks and feels like the best version of one of the best games of 2017.

The PC version of Destiny 2 replicates the amazing gunplay the first game is known for. The visuals are gorgeous and the environments are so expansive that there is hours worth of exploring to be done. There is a huge amount of content to keep players entertained and almost all of it can be replayed with worthwhile rewards to be gained. This title lives up to its predecessor and has surpassed it in almost every way. For those looking for a casual shooter with a great story or for those who want to challenge themselves in raids and competitive PVP, this title caters to a wide audience making it a great experience all-round.

Destiny 2 is an excellent game on consoles, but this is the best version.

A co-op FPS by nature, by being structured and marketed as MMO, Destiny 2 unavoidably gets compared to games from both genres. Its MMO side is simply insufficient due to the lack of content. If Bungie could adopt the subscription model, this game would have simply been just an expansion of the first one, as they are as close to each other as World of Warcraft expansions are to each other. However from the FPS standpoint, Destiny 2 is ticking many boxes. It is correct in its core mechanisms, it has juicy gameplay and it is a worthwhile title that should have been a bit more ambitious with its design.

PC gamers needn’t worry they missed the first game, as the superior sequel’s endless loops of addiction feel far more honest and rewarding than the flawed original.

All the elements are there: you’re gunning down massive hordes of baddies and you’re doing so with outstanding visual fidelity, a variety of weapons, and you’re able to cause this mayhem using big, explosive abilities. But, a bit too much of Destiny 2’s action is watered down by long cooldowns, the lazy sit-behind-cover until you’re full-health again, and the way enemies completely lose their ability to aim once your health hits the blinky-red portion of the on-screen life bar. The stakes always seem so low, the rewards so random and barely earned. It’s not a bad game, but it’s not one that lives up to the lofty expectations set by the way it’s marketed and talked about by its fans. Miles wide, but an inch deep: Destiny 2 is not the game it should be.

But, I gave this a nine because of the PvP. It is very unbalanced. Other than that, everything else is very good. The story is very in-depth. New players do not need to play Destiny 1, which is very uncommon in other games. There are deep leveling and power systems, and a variety of things after the campaign is beat...actually, that's just the beginning! There are strikes, raids, gambit, exploration, and dungeons. The game is also rewarding for people who play together. Another thing is: do not listen to user reviews that give it a 5 or below. This is before Bungie took full control, and Activision was messing everything up. Bungie, finally getting the rights to it, but everything back in place. One more thing is that this game's story? Not just the end to it. Much more to do, as I said. One of the best is hunting for lore: there is lore to be found through triumphs, looking around, and it reveals things not many people know. This game is one of the best I have played, and I do recommend it to all. Plus, it is a good game for tweens wanting to start playing teen games. Expand

A good jerking party game, with some kind of plot and a little pumping. Not interesting pvp.

For the love of god, do yourself a favor and read the User Scores first before you consider buying this game.

My biggest problem with Destiny 2 is CONTENT.
I've reached what is in essence, the endgame for Destiny 2. It's only been less than 5 days, and I consider myself a casual gamer. For 60 bucks, you earn yourself a remake of Halo, where instead of fighting Elites, grunts, or brutes, you fight robots (sums up a majority of the antagonists) and mutated naked mole rats for 5 days. That alone should flare a red flag that this lack of content is unacceptable by any company. It feels like a half finished game, where the developers hastily threw in elimination side quests on steroids and called it content. The story itself lasts roughly 6 hours or less depending if you skip through all the action packed cut scenes. Once you run through a few "Public Events", you'll see they all follow the same pattern. Protect this. Move over there. Kill this.
The class and subclass system are over hyped. They are all nearly identical, with differentiating factors being grenades and small stats. The only saving grace for this game is the game play. Again, it essentially feels like a remake of Halo with different lore. Not convinced? Look up Destiny 2 reviews on Youtube by original dedicated Destiny players, and you'll see the same response.
Lets stop companies from pushing out half ass products.

FU Bungie! I pay for years, you lie to me and say PVP is being fixed and you go and make it free with 0 cheater detection, 12 people on 3FU Bungie! I pay for years, you lie to me and say PVP is being fixed and you go and make it free with 0 cheater detection, 12 people on 3 person maps, imbalanced weapons and classes and all you do is release more garbage on top of it. Your a lost cause and a loser company. If you want to play this game prepare to play their way, based on what weapons are broken and classes at the moment. If you go warlock you are supremely phucked. Do not waste your time. This company doesn't know match making, game balance in any way and does nothing but patronize you when you complain. This game is nothing but Asian hackers and guardian services paid carry/players. Right now you can already order flawless runs on every website in the world and all are testing their autoaim and cheat bots in pvp play. GARBAGE game. I have devoted the remainder of my gaming days to killing this damn game and company any way I can. IT IS THAT HORRIBLE. Oh yeah get ready to have people hacking your PC since they cant even setup their own servers and everything is 1990 peer2peer connections. I have my internet disables 10-15x a day from DDOS attacks from this game. Anyyone rating this above a 2 is a 12 year old who goes from free game to free game or hackers with website carry services. There is ABSOLUTELY 0 reason to play this. Pursue X weapon that is useless garbage or broken and once done with those you stand there because there is no other content to this game. Bunkie manipulates XP, loot drops, even hit registry in PVP so 1 game your good and another 9 shots do not register over and over and over. You will never have fair matches. Average is 50+ point gap between teams. If a blue moon does appear and its a good game don't worry because Bunjie will immediately at the end throw all players into a pile and start over with the imbalanced teams. My 9 year old could devise a better system then this archaic, ancient garbage system they use. Fun part is when they whine about "its so much work for us to do". They cry to us at least every 45-60 days about how we are so mean and need to understand how much work they are doing making the next garbage expac that doesn't fix any issue whatsoever. Expand

APPARENTLY IF YOU DON'T BUY THE DLC YOU CAN'T DO PRESTIGE RAID, PRESTIGE NIGHTFALL OR TRIALS. Seriously? Wow..... I don't know what to say. IAPPARENTLY IF YOU DON'T BUY THE DLC YOU CAN'T DO PRESTIGE RAID, PRESTIGE NIGHTFALL OR TRIALS. Seriously? Wow..... I don't know what to say. I mean especially for the PC Players this seems really unfair, and even for the console players, to be gated out of content they paid for and had access to. Just, wow. So I guess not buying DLC isn't an option anymore.... Extremely dissapointing. Expand
