Paper Mario Color Splash is a colorful, funny and entertaining game. Nintendo has changed a lot of things with this franchise. The episode on GameCube is still the best one, but with Color Splash a lot of people will be able to have fun enjoying a great game, without thinking about 4k and mid-gen consoles.

Mario Party Star Rush could be considered as a new start for the franchise, due to huge and deep changes in the gameplay. The turn based system is abandoned and makes room for a more dynamic and fun real time system. You can play up to four players and one copy of the game through the freeware software Party Guest, and multiplayer is really fun.

Dragon Quest Builders is a brilliant and fun game. There is an obvious similarity with Minecraft and the building system is more driven and weaker, but this title also offers a good story, a deep action-RPG gameplay and a blocky version of world of the first Dragon Quest for NES.

Its gameplay mechanics are pretty good, but the lack of a good color code for letting player recognize which bullets are good and which will hurt him when the screen is loaded with any kind of stuff, may hurt the experience.

Champions of Anteria is an interesting hybrid experiment that may be considered as successful, but not entirely.

PES 2017 is a solid football game. The pace of the match, the adaptive I.A. and the perfection of the superstars are the best part of the game. Online performances and licenses are the downside of the best PES to date.

Obduction is the spiritual successor to Myst, and it offers all the stuff beloved by fans of that game, but with a refresh for the modern era. Puzzles are ingenious but can be frustrating if you don’t quickly understand their logic. There are some heavy technical problems that partly ruin game experience. Players who never played a game like this may be find themselves lost, but if you were searching for a game like Myst or Riven, you will be greatly satisfied.

Pan-Pan is a visually stunning game able to merge a sandbox world with the gameplay of the puzzle game genre. It might be too short and sometimes a little illogical but the experience crafted by the lone developer of Spelkraft prove the unique talent of this creator.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is a remastered version with a few add-ons to the original game published on PSP and Vita back in 2011. It is a hunting action RPG with an interesting backstory and a lot of pathos.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a fun multiplayer action game. This isn't a Metroid game as much as Triforce Heroes isn't a Zelda game, but it's still good enough for having fun with a bunch of friends.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an amazing game, much better than the previous episode of this franchise. Buying this game you'll get the best cyberpunk adventure available, along with an amazing brand new mode called Breach, which will blow up your mind.

F1 2016 is a step forward compared to the 2015 version of the game, but needs a solid overhaul of the driving model to reach the must have status, especially for less casual drivers.

A terrible inventory and other minor flaws leaves this game in need of constant support from Hello Games after its release.

Pac-Man 256 takes the original mechanics adding something new to the series, never seen before. You will run through an endless maze, trying to escape from the assault of the Glitch. To make your way across the ghosts, there are 20 upgradable weapons to collect. It may look a simple game, but it hides a surprising depth, and it is really fun to play. Multiplayer co-op is really a blast, but the lack of online multiplayer is a mess.

Starbound is very similar to Terraria, but bigger, more varied, more engaging. Recommended for sandbox genre lovers, thanks to a series of missions and a plot, that is the backdrop to the exploration of the galaxy, is also referred to those who have never enjoyed the games similar to Minecraft.

I Am Setsuna is a huge throwback onto 90’s classic jRPGs, and it’s clearly and loudly inspired by Chrono Trigger. The battle system is deep and satisfying, the soundtrack is great and the storyline is interesting even if a little bit predictable. There are some frustrations in the farming system and loot crates. Furthermore, budget limits are evident in the environments and enemy patterns.

Journey in the ocean? Abzû is inevitably inspired by the previous works of Matt Nava; nevertheless this is an extremely fascinating experience, a myth that deserves to be discovered by anyone.

Ducati: the 90th Anniversary Official Videogame is a spin-off of Ride. Proposing a series of races where you can drive only Ducati, Milestone has produced a game with the same strengths and weaknesses of the original. Recommended only to fans. Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS-Force for PlayStation Vita is fun, with a huge load of contents and with decent graphics. Sadly, due to the lack of an online multiplayer, if you don't have good friends to play with via ad hoc, you'll probably play it alone.

With Shattered Skies, Free Reign Entertainment is trying to gain back its fans' respect. Many players went crazy after seeing how the developers worked on WarZ. Shattered Skies has no micro-transactions, no P2W dynamics and no cheaters at all. Let's see if things will be the same in a couple of months.

Necropolis is more than just another game trying to take advantage of the Dark Souls phenomenon but the hack 'n' slash/roguelite formula has some noticeable flaws. In co-op it's an intriguing experience but, especially in solo, you'll have to struggle with a rough IA, some repetitive locations and the total lack of narration.

The Banner Saga 2, after its debut on the PC, shows all its qualities also on consoles. From the amazing graphics, up to almost perfect gameplay, lovers of the genre and fans of the saga have not a single reason to miss it.

Carmageddon: Max Damage is an enhanced version of last year’s PC reboot, but a few addictions and more of the same gameplay simply aren’t enough to offer a high level product. Bad graphics and frame rate issues are the biggest things to complain about. The gameplay is loyal to the series, but 20 years later it just does not have the same appeal. It offers some big time fun moments, though.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII is an old school strategic game hard to play on PlayStation 4 due to its complex interface. If you'll manage to survive the dull first impression, though, you'll find a deep and interesting game.

Life Goes On: Done to Death is a funny and enjoyable puzzle/platformer which offers some interesting challenges to solve and a mysterious, furry bud to find.

Fru is so much fun that will convince you to dust off your Kinect, and will make you sweat to complete the adventure.
