Vampyr is a gorgeous action RPG, with a very inspired setting and plenty of fresh mechanics. Even if the combat system is not extremely deep, the gameplay is fulfilling and our choices really affect the world that surrounds us.

Don't Starve Mega Pack is the definitive version of Klei Entertainment's survival. With the inclusion of all DLC, this is the most suitable edition for those who have not yet had the opportunity to have fun and get passionate with one of the most appreciated indie game in recent years.

Another generous collection of old-time classics, packed with a charming retro-nerd interface, online gaming and some pretty challenging new features.

The core idea of the dualism merchant/hero is great but Moonlighter is not able to stand out in a genre where the competition is extremely fierce. The combat and the level design of the dungeons fall flat in many occasions and the epilogue of Will's adventure seems a little bit rushed.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 rather than a "deluxe edition" appears as a porting created only to take advantage of Switch’s portability, without taking much care of the docked version. It remains a good title for lovers of the genre and the Oda’s manga, but if you don’t fall into these two categories we don’t recommend it.

Smoke and Sacrifice is a discreetly crafted survival-game, absolutely canonical in gameplay, enhanced by an intriguing storyline.

Downward Spiral: Horus Station is a game with a lot of weaknesses in all of its aspects. The boring gameplay is flat and the story inconsistent. Take into consideration the purchase only if you spent a lot of money on VR and don't have any other game to play on it.

Agony is a good horror/stealth game, for sure the best representation of Hell ever seen in a game. Although if the visual impact is amazing, many of the mechanics don't work as they should, making the game at times too frustrating or difficult to explore.

Detroit: Become Human is another bull's-eye from David Cage. This title shows that this kind of narrative game has much more to say. A masterpiece that any sci-fi lover can't afford to miss.

Surprising for the simplicity of the gameplay, and incredibly addictive, Laser League is an unmissable title for lovers of competitive multiplayer.

The masterpiece that made Hidetaka Miyazaki famous is back in a wonderfully remastered edition. As it, there is no change to the original structure, just a revamped lighting engine and a solid sixty fps through to whole game. The budget price is very good for the few who still never played this classic, and a good chance for the rest who loved it to play the definitive edition.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux is a good port for the Nintendo 3DS of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, a role-playing video game developed by Atlus. The game includes new artwork for the characters, voice acting, animation, new demons, new route and a new character named Alex.

Floor Kids is a very accessible rhythm game, without too many deep mechanics, but definitely funny. The art direction is simple but inspired and the soundtrack, the core of this kind of experiences, is a sequence of hits that you will not forget very soon.

Battletech is a very interesting tactical game enveloped in a deep strategical campaign that will keep you glued to the monitor. Even if it lacks some polish (and a serviceable tutorial), this is a Mech game that you want to play.

Virtual Rick-ality can be recommended almost exclusively to fans of the original series, since those who have never approached it or are looking for a more adventurous experience, will not struggle to find better alternatives in the now rather large fleet of titles for PlayStation VR .

State of Decay 2 does not revolutionize the concept behind the series, but merely refines it. It is still a great title, and State of Decay fans can toast and rejoice. Sadly we couldn't try out the online multiplayer long enough to issue a verdict, we will update the review with the score as soon as possible.

The Definitive Edition is the best way to play Hyrule Warriors. The collaboration with Nintendo has certainly contributed to the birth of one of the best exponents of the mosou genre, but the advice to buy must always be accompanied by the necessary warnings.

In this game everything takes time. This is not a game that discounts and is not in the least meeting those who have never played a Survival. You will have to have a lot of patience, especially at the beginning. But all this changes in multiplayer.

With an immediate control system and a gameplay easy to master, Manticore – Galaxy On fire will satisfy and entertain fans of the genre looking for a shooter that's not too challenging.

March to Glory is a competent napoleonic wargame, simple enough to be accessible yet interesting in the tactical gameplay. Serious issues on the UI and content side prevent it from being a real hit.

This porting of Retro Studio’s platform masterpiece has everything we could ask for: enhanced graphics, a new easy mode and a newfound portability. It also comes at full price, which could keep away some of the returning players, but they’re not the target of this second edition, are they?

A missed opportunity. Apex Construct is a first person adventure with an inspired design and some pretty good ideas, shadowed by some technical and design problems.

Owlboy is a wonderful adventure in a dreamlike world. The games includes a lot of different mechanics that make impossible to classify it in a specific genre. The pixel art graphical style is just as amazing as the soundtrack. This game is unmissable for any player that wants to live an unforgettable adventure.

Wonderful to watch and to hear, The Swords of Ditto is a well-made title but is far from the perfect expression of the roguelike genre. The main problem? The feel of repetetivity in some dungeons, bosses and enemies. The procedural generation used by the developers in these cases is not always enough and its flaws overshadow a bunch of great ideas.

The Way of Life is a courageous project, but the choices system is categorical and restrictive. Other faults make some good insights tedious. It's a pity, but as a debut it is to be considered positively for Cybercoconut.

Naruto is back again, even on Switch. It has lost the shine of the home consoles version but gained a new a new, portable life. A porting for every fan who wants to fight everywhere with the ninjutsu style.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is an action role-playing videogame with a top-down isometric view developed and published by Nippon Ichi Software for the PlayStation 4. Gameplay is nice, but the game maps are too dispersive, with messy plot and bizarre characters.

Impact Winter is a good game if you are searching for some survival action mixed with nice adventure and management elements. The plot isn’t good enough to win an oscar, but for this price the game is pretty decent for the proper niche.

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings is a role-playing videogame developed by Gust, with a turn based combat system. It does not introduce many innovations to the series, but is nicely inspired by classics in a nostalgic and vintage way.

Masters of Anima is a well made blend of action and RTS but it lacks the spark that make a good game a great game. A plot too simplistic and stereotypical and some over repetitive fights partially ruin a bunch of good ideas.

Extinction is basically a simple stylish action with some new interesting ideas. The lore seems stolen from the anime “Attack on Titans” with ogres instead of giants in the shape of humans. Even if the intentions are good, the camera the worst enemy to face and the climbing system is far away from perfection. Take this game in consideration only if you are a stainless fan of action games.

Goichi Suda and Grasshopper studios are back with a weird and original adventure. The atmosphere is concrete in The 25th Ward, in an enjoyable way. The problem is that this is a more a visual novel that a videogame, and we are more spectators than players. However, the originality of the plot and the style, makes the game worth it for those non-mainstream players.

Frostpunk is an incredible survival city builder that is successful in both delivering an optimal gameplay and empowering it with a believable (and scary) atmosphere coupled with an immersive storyline. An outstanding feat that reaches the same heights of This War of Mine, the studio’s former product.

God of War is the best example of how you should manage the beginning of a new era for an established brand, in every entertainment media. It’s the pinnacle of Sony’s will to promote creative freedom for its first party studios. It’s a melting pot made of old school video game elements and technical mastery, a great script and revolutionary ideas.

The first episode of The Council sets the basis for an interesting adventure game, which cleverly uses some of the classic gameplay elements of RPGs. If in the next few episodes the narrative structure becomes more malleable, we will have to deal with a small masterpiece of the genre.

World of Warriors is a very simple game, with some good ideas but without any advanced mechanics. The combat system is poor and also the aesthetics of the characters. The porting from mobile platform on console doesn't benefit to the production that remains an experience dedicated to young kids accustomed to mobile games.

Secret of Mana was an outstanding jRPG back in 1993 and this remake is a true love letter to fans. Unfortunately, besides upgraded graphics, a couple of cut-scenes and a brand new local co-op multiplayer, this new release does not add anything really worth to the core experience, and all the weakness of the original title are still there and sometimes they feel even worse.

All Walls Must Fall is a uniquely original take on the tactical genre, one of a kind a little impaired by its limited scope and lack of extensive content. What is there is a great and it leaves us craving for more.

A fresh Pokémon spin-off with an engaging story and simple gameplay mechanics. Maybe too simple and easy for seasoned players.

Penny-Punching Princess at the end is more like a dungeon crawler than a pure RPG. Who will be captured by the original gameplay of the calculator will have fun for 20-25 hours without overly perceiving the repetitiveness, but without the right incentive other players may get tired earlier.

Second season, second game with more titans, more characters, and more action.

Kona is a game made by canadians for canadians. Only them could really fall in love with the wintry and snowy atmosphere of a quiet North American village and its local folklore.

Sea of Thieves is actually the best pirate game available. Unfortunately, although the stunning experience offered by the title, there is a too small amount of content in it. The missions are funny at the beginning, but become boring after a short time. The beautiful environments and the pleasure of cooperation alone can't make the title survive forever. We need more content.

Far Cry 5 is well done in every respect: its narrative improves the pace of progression, the gameplay is solid and the content is on a high level.

Developers tried to include in Past Cure action, stealth and puzzles elements, without being able to exalt any of them. The desire to put too much meat into the fire has played a bad trick to Phantom 8 Studios.

Heart-breaking, devastating and sometimes adorable. Last Day of June is a simple but well-written story about love, death, loss and the cruel company of loneliness. A piercing and deeply emotional adventure, partially ruined only by regular backtracking sequences.

Legendary Gary is a blast, an original and unique adventure with a delightful art style and a fantastic soundtrack. A somewhat legendary story of an ordinary man who tries to find his path in this strange, cold but also beautiful world.

TT Isle of Man has one of the best licenses out there to capture the suicidal excitement of zipping through country villages at 290 kilometers per hour, but the game falls short of everything around the Snaefell course.

Surviving Mars is a marvelous experience of city building, management, exploration and strategizing. Overall polish and good production values all around complete a deep and interesting package that will make genre enthusiasts and Mars fanatics very, very happy.

The new adventure signed by Josef Fares is again a tale about two bound-together guys. Vincent and Leo will share the same adventure in a constant split screen in order to get their revenge, thanks to a common past. After a (very!) slow and boring start, the story gets better and better, in both plot and gameplay. Even new mechanics are introduced, scene after scene, changing the perspective every time. It’s more like an interactive experience than a real challenge, like Telltale’s.

The plot is slow-burning, the combat system may seem too simplified, the side quests are boring and repetitive. Even the stunning graphics are stained by some performance issues. But it is only by looking at the game as a whole that we can understand its true value. It is as if Ni No Kuni II were able to fill its own gaps thanks to the great variety of experiences that it has to offer to the gamers.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue: Remastered offers a great story with an interesting main character. The dark journey of Shay Cormac is one of the best in the series, now even more with the enhanced graphics. Despite this, the gameplay structure isn’t aged properly: while the naval combat is still fun, we cannot say the same of the ground fights and activities.

Titan Quest is a lazy port of a glorious PC action RPG. The genre is respected and executed efficiently but the game is immersed in poor interface design and tons of bugs and glitches.

The sixth installment in the Yakuza franchise diligently completes its task: it brings the series to a new dawn of modernity and allows the fans to say goodbye to the legendary Dragon of Dojima. Even with some small flaws in the script and less epic boss figths, The Song of Life is a thrilling experience and one worth buying.

Kirby Star Allies is at its best when played with a couple of friends (or some kids) on the same couch: it’s like a chaotic, colorful and messy party game. If you’re planning on going solo, though, just be aware that it’s also super easy and reaches the end in a handful of hours.

Q.U.B.E. 2 is a pretty solid puzzle game with a better graphics than the previous chapter. The story is not very original and there are no complimentary characters, probably due to the limited budget. Even given this, if you like this kind of game you should keep an eye on it.

Devil May Cry HD Collection is a straight porting of the collection released in 2012 on PS3 and Xbox 360. Textures and assets are pretty much the same and there is no brand new content added to this new release. This game is a lazy remaster that delivers 1080p resolution and a 60fps rock solid gameplay, but nothing more. It represents a missed opportunity by Capcom, bearing in mind the impressive remasters we are seeing these days.

Scribblenauts Showdown probably pays the price of its dual nature. It is an ambitious project that seems to have lost its compass mid-way, and in the clumsy attempt to make everyone happy, in the end it's likely to disappoint both those looking for a engaging puzzle game, and those who want to have fun with a quality party game.

The new game of Sword Art Online series is a fast paced third person shooter, set in the GGO environment of the fictional VRMMO of the original anime. You play the role of a new guy meeting the old crew, helped by an AI as your friend. The result is a messy reunion, moved by a decent gunplay but with a poor story.

If you own a PlayStation VR, you can't avoid playing Moss. With inspired art design and effective gameplay, it's one of the best games for the Sony visor.

Symmetry is a survival that does not excel in any way. Art design and narrative premises presage a great adventure, but the repetitive gameplay mortifies any ambition in the game.

Supermassive Games delivers an unimpressive on-rail shooter with some light co-op tactical features.

Crossing Souls is a tribute to an entire era and for this reason only some players will adore Fourattic's work. It has plenty of clever references and a wonderful pixel art but the plot fall flat too many times and the gameplay doesn't shine despite a lot of variety. Nostalgic players will love this game; the others not so much.

After 24 years, Romancing SaGa 2 finally comes to the West with a few add-ons and a subtle graphics restyling. This is an old-school RPG which offers a different take of the classic formula, building the progression system around the skill points instead of the experience. This is surely not for everybody, but if you can live with heavy grinding, high difficult curve and laggy controls, this game could really entertain you for several weeks nowadays, still.

Insidia is a free-to-play interesting take on the tactical genre that needs a bit more to become a full fledged alternative to other better established franchises. Gameplay is interesting and deep enough, but content and production values fall a bit short.

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is a great excuse to brush up on your 3DS, both for its original storyline, and for its strategic combat system. Recommended for all JRPG fans.

Though only marginally linked to the main story, Metal Gear Survive works. Doubts and prejudices aside about the continuation of the brand after the Kojima departure, Survive is a good and entertaining product, with a solid history and valid survival mechanics. Although not revolutionizing the genre, what prevents the title from achieving higher results are microtransitions, which although not excessively invasive, should not be present in a full price game.

Another challenging and entertaining racing game from Italian developer Milestone... but not enough to compete with the best titles in the genre.

Pop-Up Pilgrim is a discreet puzzle-game that picks up many mechanics that came from Lemmings. Published exclusively for PlayStation VR, it would work much better on mobile, considering that it makes a questionable use of virtual reality.

Lost Sphear can't repeat the success of I Am Setsuna. The storyline is too weak and art design does not bewitch as hoped. However, it is an excellent RPG, recommended for lovers of the genre.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is an enhanced porting of the game released in 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Game modes and gameplay are the same but this Switch version adds a brand new local two players co-op that bring some new cool mechanics and increases the fun. And it can be played with a single Joy-Con too. You can also play in tandem with the CPU if you do not have friends to team up, but it is not the same thing. After more than 35 years, Pac-Man is still here to entertain everyone.

Cobalt WASD is a very funny and competitive multiplayer game. Even if at the beginning it could seem a simple game, the rich inventory allows the players to play in a creative way. Tactical approach and lightening fast reflexes are the basic requirements to reach the victory.

Fe is an emotional experience, a game made to open the eyes of players on the tragedy that is consuming in the hearth of the forest. You will not find deep gameplay or mechanics never seen before, but the stunning art direction could be enough to amaze you.

Attentat 1942 is a well-written narrative and investigative adventure, a different kind of story in the World War II which delivers despite the flaws in pace and its extremely poor gameplay.

Bayonetta 2 represents the highest point touched by the action genre, with a superfine and refined gameplay, and a totally out of the box narrative. The Switch version brings small improvements to the technical sector, and enjoys a portability that everyone now craves.

Bayonetta on Switch is a satisfying experience even today, despite the years on the shoulders of the beautiful witch. The portable version, even if with some smudging, manages to keep the fun in the massacre host of angels ready to war.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame is another (little) step towards racing games' heaven for Milestone... but there is still a long way to go.

Dynasty Warriors 9 is a hack and slash game with stealth elements developed by Omega Force. The title revampS the gameplay of the series with the introduction of the open world environment. Unfortunately, the unpleasant graphical accuracy and the presence of annoying bugs make Dynasty Warriors 9 a second-rate game.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a huge first person GDR that can count on an higher level of immersion when compared with other similar productions. The combat system is amazing and, even if it will take you some hours to handle a sword correctly, all the time will spent will be worth it. A must-have for all fans of open-world RPGs in search of deeper gameplay mechanics.
