Summary: Elle reveals to Paul that Laura has been lying to him; however Paul’s guilty conscience gives Laura the benefit of the doubt.
He invites Laura and Nick over for tea, giving Rebecca a chance to talk with Laura about her own experiences with an abusive partner. A guilty Laura attempts to put an end to their scam; however Nick has sinceElle reveals to Paul that Laura has been lying to him; however Paul’s guilty conscience gives Laura the benefit of the doubt.
He invites Laura and Nick over for tea, giving Rebecca a chance to talk with Laura about her own experiences with an abusive partner. A guilty Laura attempts to put an end to their scam; however Nick has since discovered that Declan’s brother Oliver is very wealthy.
Susan, still feeling unwell, spends the day sleeping on the couch. Karl, realising the family needs two cars again, is very tempted by Declan’s car that Oliver is selling, and accepts the keys for a test drive.
Bridget promises her parents that she will not see Declan again; however after a huge fight with her mother, she runs away from the house, and meets with Declan again at the lake. They talk for a while, but after Declan claims that Bridget’s parents aren’t her real parents, she storms away in tears.
With Susan still sleeping, Karl takes Rachel and Zeke to the school for an information session on Rachel’s Literature program.
When Susan wakes and realises what happens, she takes the sports car and heads towards the school. Still sleepy, she dozes off at the wheel and wake up again after hitting what she believes is the kerb. However, she has hit Bridget, who was returning home after her secret meeting with Declan!
