Dragon Age: Inquisition returns the franchise to right path after disappointing second installation. Its massive world combined to leading the ever growing Inquisition makes the game really addictive. Plot could be more coherent, but after 40 hours I still crave to search every inch of the world.

Thirteen years in existence, Halo has defined many of the parameters of a console FPS. Now four Halo games are packed in one experience. Two of the oldest have gone through moderate modernization, but Master Chief’s Christmas Special isn’t the game, that you use to demonstrate the muscles of Xbox One. As a gamer, Halo is a part of general education. If you’re not familiar with Master Chief, now is a perfect chance to catch up on some video game history. [Nov 2014]

Sunset Overdrive’s supercharged hyper parkour has a bit steep learning curve, but once you master it, this sandbox shooter shows its true colors. It's totally over the top, always on the move and absolutely hilarious. [Nov 2014]

Beyond Earth is a solid turn based strategy game, but playing it feels a bit too much like playing Civilization V. Compared to the classic Alpha Centauri game, Beyond Earth kinda fails to properly sell the feeling of colonizing a strange new world. [Nov 2014]

The first Gabriel Knight is a legendary game, but unfortunately the remastered version doesn’t meet the sky-high standards of its paragon. Although the game is technologically flawed, the storyline and atmosphere are as good as they were 20 years ago. [Nov 2014]

A beautiful platformer with a solid game mechanics. You have to know how to play it, if you intend to master it. It’s tricky, but never unfair. Although the game was originally published over three years ago, this geezer has aged with style. [Nov 2014]

I have always liked birds, but I have never dated them so that's the main reason why I wanted to play Hatoful Boyfriend. The game is a dating sim where you control a teenage girl who eventually ends up in a relationship with a pigeon, dove or some other type of bird. Although everything about it sounds like a big joke, the story is surprisingly deep and has a lot of replay value. I personally didn't like the fact that the game doesn't offer much freedom, because you have to follow pre-defined paths, but I guess that's part of the genre. [Nov 2014]

An absolutely beautiful arcade racing game, but the inside doesn't do justice to its pretty shell. Although the career is repetitive the biggest game destroyer is pretty much the hideous AI, which is more from the Destructive Derby than from an enjoyable arcade title. [Nov 2014]

A Japanese style RPG with fast'n'furious real-time combat. There's a lot of stuff to do and nothing deviates too much from the tried and tested Tales of -formula. Maybe it should, though. [Nov 2014]

Alien Isolation can be frustratingly difficult at times, but nevertheless it’s easily the best game in the Alien franchise since the original Aliens vs Predator. The fact that the game mimics perfectly the 1970s look and sci fi stylings of Ridley Scott’s Alien film makes the experience even more endearing. By featuring absurd number of “surprise” twists, Alien Isolation’s final act could’ve used some trimming. [Nov 2014]
