This is an entertaining action RPG in a semi-prehistoric fantasy world. Prepare to grind, though. A lot. [March 2015]

This is a pretty and interesting light fantasy strategy game, which based on a board game. The 2-player mode is a let-down, though. [March 2015]

A promising, if flawed first episode. Life Is Strange boasts believable characters and an intriguing setting. That said, the dialogue sounds awkward at times and some of the plot twists are a bit too much. [March 2015]

This is mostly an unnecessary remake of the fantasy strategy classic. The improvements are minor in the graphics and nonexistent elsewhere, except for the multiplayer mode through Steam and the tablet versions, which might be the game's biggest selling point. The game itself is still gold - PC gamers should just consider if the old Ultimate Edition bundle, with expansion packages already included, is a better investment. [March 2015]

Even with some slight improvements added in, Majora’s Mask doesn’t quite feel as charming as it did 15 years ago. Still, it’s one of the better entries in the series. [March 2015]

While Firaxis’ take on XCOM isn’t quite as good as the original, Enemy Within is still a superbly fun turn based strategy game. The UI and gameplay is surprisingly well suited for iPad. [March 2015]

Dying Light has a great start and for a while it feels like the best zombie game ever. However, as the campaign turns out to be excessively lengthy, the game starts to feel a bit repetitive. [March 2015]

Styx: Master of Shadows is quite good as a stealth based game. Fighting sucks, but I think that is intentional, so that stealth is the main point. [Feb 2015]

Grim Fandango is one of the greatest adventure games ever made. The remastered edition pays tribute to the original and modernizes only the essential. Now the controls are working, so the whole package is ready to take over the world. [Feb 2015]

Pako is an action-packed racing game that is short on a story, but compensates it very well with fast-paced game mechanics. Once you start, it’s hard to let go. That’s always a good sign. [Feb 2015]

A long-awaited port of the PS3 classic. The game has aged incredibly well, thanks to its beautiful cell-shaded graphic style and well thought mechanics. It takes some time to get used to cheerful anime cast of characters in what is essentially tale of World War 2 horrors, but once one is over that hurdle Valkyria Chronicles is a thoroughly enjoyable light strategy game. It probably would be more intuitive to play an adventure game with a steering wheel and pedals, when compared to the controls that D4 brings to the table. On top of that, the game is crippled with a stupid hunger minigame, that requires you to hunt food, or else you run out of stamina. The story is quite compelling and the wacky characters try their best to keep the game afloat, but the controls and the core mechanics just aren’t up for the task. [Feb 2015]

It's short, predictable and way too similar to Amnesia: the Dark Descent. Still, more Amnesia is never a bad thing and the changing layout of the manor is a neat idea. Shame it isn't used that much. [Feb 2015]

Nintendo has made its first mobile game. Too bad Captain Toad ended up on Wii U. This game would've been perfect on iPad. A puzzle game that has a very compact structure is a common sight on iDevices, but rare on consoles, that are meant to be used in a livingroom. [Feb 2015]

A stylish, addicting mix of tower defense and roguelike elements. The pacing of the game nicely alternates from planning your defenses in peace to frantically rushing with your heroes and villains to stop the alien swarms coming at you. There could be a bit more variety with the enemies and the modules you can build, but still finding new heroes and opening the new game modes can keep you well occupied. [Feb 2015]

The third Lego Batman game is a copy-paste from other Lego games made by Traveller's Tales. At this point it's getting pretty frustrating to see the exactly same game with new characters and some minor tweaks. This isn't a bad game, I've just seen this same stuff so many times before. Hex-based strategy games aren't dead after all. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is quite faithful to the license and features a huge number of units, which is great news for everyone who loves the Warhammer universe. However, there are also many faults that will hinder the experience. These include poor tutorial, and lack of documentation, lackluster story and missing movement animations.

The Crew promises much, but fails to hit the goal. Horrible rubber-band AI, wobbly handling and outdated graphics eat away from the wonders of exploring the States. The multiplayer side feels overly hyped, other players are too often a rare sight.

If you wish to dethrone the Eternal Emperor of computer gaming, you can't have gaping holes in your armor, and thanks to the repeating and completely flat terrains as well as some balancing issues, that's precisely what Xenonauts has. However, in many other ways this is the best UFO-game thus far and thanks to modability and an active community, we just might be witnessing the birth of a legend. [Jan 2015]
