While the new version makes the game more accessible, offers more depth on the domain's management and a small but not marginal graphic facelift (notably sunlight management). It is unfortunately counterbalanced by the main character models being sometimes less polished, a catastrophic display of nights and a rather embarrassing bridle of the experience. This version is recommended for those who could not play the original game. However, the PC version is highly recommended, at least for the 60 FPS availability.- MGG

Plucky Squire is a charming adventure that lacks just a “little something” to make it truly magical. Packed with visual and gameplay discoveries, All Possible Futures' software doesn't take enough time to delve into its universe, its characters and its 3D phases, which are well integrated into the rest of Jolt' epic. These shortcomings prevent the journey from being a memorable one, but make no mistake: this is still a very fine videogame tale, calibrated for the whole family.- MGG

With Space Junkies, Ubisoft offers unbridled competitive multiplayer battles. Needless to say that the bet is successful. Lots of action, very little seriousness and no motion sickness. Space Junkies also manages to be both accessible and difficult to master against experienced opponents who will be able to take advantage of the field bonuses, verticality and gadgets, in addition to knowing how to use the right weapon at the right time.- MGG

We. The Revolution manages to plunge us into the darkest era of France, with an innovative scenario, and the special appeal to play as a judge. There is always something to do, and the system of choices and repercussions is cruel but just. It's a good thing that you can go back in time whenever you want and make different choices. The game is as expected: immersive and refreshing.- MGG

Rogue Trader delivers everything you'd expect from an RPG set in the vast Warhammer 40,000 universe. A dark atmosphere, numerous cruel choices, excellent companions, exploration of the galaxy and its dangers, good tactical combat and even some rather successful space battles. Realization is also quite good for a game of this genre, but it's far from mainstream, with a lot of text to read on the one hand and daunting character progression on the other. Our biggest regret is that, like many other games, Rogue Trader will probably come out full of bugs that will take a while to resolve.- MGG

Astro's Playroom is a game that can be experienced with a lot of simplicity and without any particular expectations. It will surprise you during the few hours of gameplay it offers, and will allow you to learn more about the generations of PlayStation consoles as well as the DualSense controller's features. This is a great surprise from the creative and generous ASOBI development team and is a great way to start a long adventure with the next generation of PS5 games!- MGG

DiRT 5 has decided to go straight for the arcade gameplay and makes no secret of it. It's fun at every level, and even if it's not to everyone's taste, it works quite well. If the title proves to be rather unoriginal, weirdly unbalanced on several levels and a little too easy, the variety of environments and types of races, combined with a beautifully dynamic weather and a quality soundtrack, make us forgive its flaws.- MGG

Ape Out is grueling. Constantly, all in movement and speed, the game will make you live something very satisfying. Super Mario RPG is one of the strangest Mario games in its history: with its world of characters seemingly drawn from an entirely different universe, its darker-than-usual graphic style and its turn-based gameplay, the late Squaresoft's game is one of the Super Famicom's diamonds in the rough that had never before made it to the Old Continent, with a proper localization. A mistake that has now been rectified, with a meticulous translation, a graphical overhaul that does justice to the 1996 game and gameplay adjustments that allow younger players to enjoy it.- MGG

Even though it's easy to see that recycling is present, Dying Light 2 pulls its weight thanks to its more vertical map than ever and the fluidity encountered when completing various parkour moves. In single player, the game will keep you going for a good thirty hours and much more to complete all the side missions. Techland has kept its promise despite the negative points and make this new opus an endless pleasure. Ah, and beware of those afraid of blood, it spurts quite a bit.- MGG

Even if it remains rather childish and won't blow your mind as much as the other Playstation adaptations, Sackboy also takes advantage of all the potential of these machines in terms of graphics. The challenge is not very high, but the gameplay is fascinating, and the levels are efficiently designed. The fact that you can use DualSense for even more immersion, and the charm of the game's artistic direction and its enchanting soundtrack, makes it a must-have platformer for fans of the genre.- MGG

Project Zero 5 is not a bad game: with its Japanese horror movie atmosphere reminiscent of The Grudge or the mythical The Ring, Koei Tecmo's survival-horror succeeds in immersing the player in its scary universe full of macabre stories and tormented spirits. Also, Gamepad is for once very well exploited with a Camera Obscura to be controlled directly with the gyroscope (or the sticks if you wish). Unfortunately, the numerous back and forths to do during the game and the general stiffness of the gameplay make the pleasure of the game fall very quickly, leaving only a nice adventure, but far from being memorable.- MGG

When you look at the big picture, Sparklite seems to be a very good game, and it is. The original concept of a Roguelike with a important hub, as in Moonlighter, is well used. It's flawless both technically and gameplay wise, and there's even some exploration. So what more could you ask for? Well, a story that would hold a little more ground, and above all, more content. You're going to have fun on Sparklite, it's inevitable. However, this will not last long and replayability is very low. So given the price, you may want to wait for sales or additional content to let yourself be seduced by this enchanting title.- MGG

The similarities between the 2001: A Space Odyssey and Observation are numerous. The only big difference is that while the first may seem long, the second is much less so. For the rest, everything is present: the universe of course, the atmosphere, the lengthening scenes, the calm rhythm with a few more intense moments, the metaphysical side, and all the codes of Kubrick's film. Apart from the moments when you find yourself a little lost without really knowing what you have to do, you can have a really good time playing Observation. Regarding gameplay, the title is limited to exploration and puzzles in the form of simple mini-games, but this has the credit of being original and the enjoyment is here! We get caught up in the story that we follow with great pleasure and it is not uncommon to have your hair rising looking at certain scenes. And that's a lot.- MGG

Fade to Silence is a real survival game with hints of Souls-like that sets the mood and raises the tension. Even if its graphics are not top-of-the-range, the sets reflect the extreme conditions in which we find ourselves and the soundtrack is a very good match. It's a pity that there are still a few bugs left. If the concept of permanent death can make you angry, it remains an essential element, it would be a pity to ignore it by using the exploration mode, which we advise you to use only in last resort, since bargains and blessings allow you to restart stronger and save time.- MGG

We conclude with great sadness this saga alongside Clementine. Even if it is quite short, the episode still offers us a great deal of emotion and action. Cindered Shadows is everything we expected from a Fire Emblem Three Houses DLC, turning the Season Pass into a great deal with its new characters, new classes, and tough battles. It removes the flaws of the main campaigns to give us a condensed version of intense battles and story, with enough new features sprinkled on top of it to extend the game experience an average of ten hours. If you plan to replay campaigns later on, its price is entirely justified.- MGG

Despite its flaws, Gears Tactics should manage to satisfy tacticians and fans of the license, pushing players to be aggressive while showing some finesse. It's a pleasure to play this campaign, which has a correct lifespan. Unfortunately, the strategic dimension is almost non-existent and replayability is really lacking. It's a great game to play on occasion via Gamepass, but probably not one that many will choose to dwell on.- MGG

With an inspired art direction and a rich universe, GreedFall is a quality RPG with rich and engaging content. However, it's not free of defects, especially in its production, animation, and graphics. We also lament a freedom restricted by invisible walls and a lack of varied movement (such as jumping or swimming), as well as battles that could have been more intense. However, all this fails to dampen the pleasure we had in travelling in search of secrets, or in constantly showing diplomacy to satisfy each party.- MGG

Resident Evil 3 version 2020 works very well. The adventure will delight action fans without sacrificing what makes the soul of the series, its survival horror side. The atmosphere is amazing, oppressive and reinforced by the constant pressure of the Nemesis, which benefits from a much better AI than Mr. X. The RE Engine is more precise and the music plunges us into a nightmarish universe. However, the adventure is quite simple in its confrontations, thanks to new gameplay mechanics, and won't put your brains to the test. The few puzzles are very basic and the weapons and accessories aren't really hidden, making the single-player adventure very short. Still, we're having a great time with Jill and Carlos, and Capcom proves once again the quality of the Resident Evil license.- MGG

Disgaea is a great Tactical RPG series, and this fourth episode is considered by many to be THE best of the five. While the addition of a couple of scenarios and playable characters increases the playtime even more, the high price is not justified for a game originally released in 2011. The Complete + edition will mainly target fans of the series missing the additional content offered by A Promise Revisited on the PlayStation Vita. Crying Suns is a striking and fascinating game in many ways, which offers an epic journey through the stars that will satisfy a while the fans of space tactics and science fiction with its rich and dark story. It's a pretty good game, but it lacks the elements that would make it a good rogue-like, the ships and their gameplay are too similar, the crew choices are unnecessarily restricted, the events are repetitive and predictable, the game blocks us to the last chapter of the story, etc. It will be necessary for the developers to review all this so that it can reach its full potential.- MGG

Space Marine 2 offers a gameplay experience that's both short and intense. It's very satisfying to shred hordes of enemies in the middle of an epic battlefield. It's beautiful, polished and easy to get to grips with, but its lack of content will grieve all those who were hoping to invest more time in its cooperative mode. The gameplay quickly becomes tiresome, while the lack of variety in the enemies and missions on offer doesn't help either. But there's potential here, with a very good base. Dark Devotion doesn't invent anything, that's for sure. On the other hand, he is a very good copier and knows how to pick right and left to be inspired and propose a Rogue Like as an attractive pixel art that will certainly not change the vision of the genre, but should bring a significant dose to fans of the genre who need their regular fix. The Castlevania marriage with Dark souls works perfectly and promises long hours to anyone who wants to explore everything. The Outer Worlds 2 retains the strengths of the first title, with rich dialogue and storytelling, while surpassing it on almost every technical level. The dialogue and choices available remain the main strengths of this sequel, while other aspects prove uneven and not always very convincing, such as combat or the omnipresence of skill requirements, for example. If you want a game to be fun above all else, then Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin might be for you. However, it is necessary to have a certain distance on the whole of the new production of Team Ninja, since it is filled witch clichés that should absolutely not be taken at face value in order to be appreciated as it should be. Fire Emblem Engage is a very unbalanced title, on the one hand, it is very affordable for all players, and we loved the challenges it offers at high difficulty levels. But on the other hand, its story and characters made us roll our eyes all the time. Fortunately, the quality realization, at least for the Switch, makes up for it. Also, real efforts have been made to improve the gameplay, and the interface is well thought out. It's a real pleasure to play and watch the fights, which are always accompanied by good animations and music. Lost Soul Aside is far from being as bad as its online ratings and reviews would suggest. Despite its apparent shortcomings and “amateurish” feel, the China Hero Project has a certain charm and, above all, extremely dynamic and addictive gameplay that carries the game. Despite its 10 years of development and unique story, the game suffers from a noticeable lack of budget and, above all, an abominable prologue, but it manages to offer an appealing experience once you get past the first hour, even if it is full of imperfections. It's certainly not worth the €70 price tag, but we highly recommend it once the price drops to around €30-40.- MGG

To conclude, Riders Republic is clearly a good game that will certainly delight gamers who love thrills and extreme sports. We'll put aside the aspect of microtransactions in a game sold at a high price which darkens the picture a bit, because it remains a very good game experience. Technically, the game is not as good as Forza Horizon, even if it is strongly inspired by it in its gameplay structure, but the map is simply brilliant, large and full of surprises for the ingenious players who like exploration. Faithful to its ancestors, Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection is a difficult and intense game that will require you to die many times in order to progress. Chorus is an excellent space combat game with ships that, although it doesn't stand out in anything, it fulfills all its aspects. As a singular, contemplative experience, Hellblade 2 perfectly fulfills its contract: visually dazzling, Ninja Theory's title can only be fully experienced with a good pair of headphones screwed on your ears. As a "video game", on the other hand, it's immediately more complicated: between repetitive combat from the second encounter and poorly calibrated, uninteresting puzzles, Senua's Saga is easy to follow but never enthralling. Its gameplay, very close to Shin Megami Tensei, is rather complete and interesting enough to catch the Japanese RPG lover in you. Fighting being the essence of the game, you have to be patient and diligent in the confrontations, in order to develop your skill to face the real challenges. Unfortunately, the life span of Stray is limited to the number of lives the cats can have. Indeed, we finished the game at 100% in a little less than 9 hours. We estimate that 7 hours will be more than enough to finish the main plot of the game, or even 10 hours for players who will take their time to contemplate each painting offered by the game. In a way, Stray's rather affordable price is in line with its lifespan. The more skilled players may even take less time to finish the game, so it's quite a shame. Doom The Dark Ages is a game of contrasts. It experiments with mechanics new to the license and a new historical context, but their integration is superficial or poorly thought-out. The shield overshadows everything else in combat, while the dragon and mecha are simply disappointing. Nor does the game give us the impression of being plunged into a dark age. This new opus isn't bad, however, since it contains all the basic elements we've come to appreciate in modern Doom games. The space battles in Chorus are good, piloting its agile super-powered fighter through enemy fire while devastating hordes of enemies is fun. This efficient gameplay is its strength, and the special powers are well integrated into the gameplay. The fights tend to become too easy, but the boss battles compensate. The exploration is unfortunately not there as the open world is empty, it is more an excuse for dialogues and additional battles. However, it has the merit of being very pleasant to look at. If we are obviously very happy to see this spin-off episode in Europe, it's hard not to see it as a step backwards for RGG Studios. The game is very well written and the city of Kyo is exotic, but the dated gameplay brings us back to the time of Yakuza Zero, while the efforts made to flesh it out are not enough to give a boost to the whole. Although Days Gone has hardly changed since its release in 2019, the game is still quite enjoyable, with both original and generic gameplay ideas. The intrinsic qualities of its storyline and open-world will undoubtedly push the player to explore its environment and study its world. Despite this, it's impossible to get over the major physics and texture loading issues that have not yet been corrected and that greatly harm the gameplay experience. Like A Dragon Gaiden plays out like the filler season of a good anime: we meet up with characters we love around an adventure that has no significant impact on the story, with the exception of two or three elements distilled along the way. This is a title that retains the usual qualities of the series, which is enough to make it a very good game, but it is unfortunately marred by haphazard combat collisions and a story that is too long for its own good.- MGG

While Star Wars Squadrons will delight fans by giving them the opportunity to fly the saga's iconic ships in majestic space settings, both the storyline and the characters are a little too superficial and the collision system is poorly handled. With this HD version of Luigi's Mansion 2, Nintendo allows players to have the entire license on their Nintendo Switch. The least well-known episode of the trilogy, Luigi's Mansion 2 still deserves to be discovered today thanks to its quality level design, but we expected more work from the developers for this version. It's more or less the same (good) game, with the same old-fashioned "mission-based" progression that does so much harm to the rhythm of the adventure. A good pick-up, but far from indispensable, especially at full price.- MGG

If we had to describe Bleach Rebirth of Souls in a few words, it would surely be a solid foundation for the sequel, because yes, even if it does have its flaws, it's still a pleasure to discover if you're a fan of the license, and above all a source of hope if other opuses ever see the light of day. Its story mode is very complete, even if we would have preferred it to be more balanced. The gameplay is fun to play once you've mastered it, despite the slowness of the movements, and the roster is adequate, even if there are a few absentees.- MGG

A redundant roguelite with no real character upgrades (apart from equipment) and no rewards worthy of the name, a farm game with no plantations or romance with the characters, and a restaurant simulation that goes no further than serving customers. Although it doesn't go far enough in the three genres Cuisineer draws on, this cosy game does live up to its promise. Addictive despite its redundancy, it embodies this perfect blend of styles, offering a lightness that feels good and makes you want to finish it 100%.- MGG

The release of Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion is excellent news for all the fans of what has become a full-fledged franchise, thanks to the phenomenal success of FFVII. But be careful, you have to know what you're getting into: if the remaster allows you to enjoy this prequel with a new visual comfort, the few adjustments made by the developers are not enough to hide the great age of a formula. For the endearing piece of history it offers, fans should be able to get past it, but it might be much more complicated for everyone else.- MGG

Life Is Strange: Reunion is better than its predecessor, but it struggles to truly rekindle the spark that players felt when playing the first games in the series. The game clearly plays on players’ nostalgia by focusing its plot on Max and Chloe’s reunion, and the characters surrounding them are endearing and fairly well-written. However, that isn’t enough to make up for a storyline that’s sometimes unconvincing and some real technical shortcomings. We still had a good time, though, and it’s a nice conclusion to Max and Chloe’s story.- MGG

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition is a welcome port on PC, although very little effort has been made to actually adapt it to our machines. The graphics improvements are there and it is possible to play with the keyboard and mouse, but the interface is not particularly suitable. The flaws and clumsiness of the title, both in the combat system, inventory and crafting, still tend to irritate, but it remains a good game, on which you can spend tens of hours without getting bored.- MGG

While FPS are not initially designed to be played on consoles , the Switch is a nice one to play Overwatch on, as long as it's on a wide screen. The experience is similar to playing on a PS4 or Xbox and the controller allows a good gameplay immersion. Concord is too daring a gamble for Firewalk and PlayStation Studios, who are releasing a 100% multiplayer pay-to-play game in a pool of already famous free-to-play games. While the game isn't fundamentally bad, it's slower and less dynamic than its rivals, which will hold some players back, and in no way revolutionizes the genre, which might have justified the entry fee. The game aims to be that “hero-shooter for casuals par excellence”, but does this genre have a place in today's ecosystem, and a paying one at that? Unfortunately, it's hard to see a bright future for Concord without some radical rethinking.- MGG

Helldivers 2 is by far the most fun we've had with multiplayer in recent years, and Arrowhead Game Studios has really created something special here. It's absolutely addictive to dive into the action again and again, validating objectives under a deluge of explosions and enemies. Unfortunately, many flaws seriously spoil the party, even months after release. Each new update introduces new bugs, while many of those present since release are still present, as are the huge performance problems. The studio has also shot itself in the foot by nerfing the most effective and popular weapons with each patch, rather than seeking to make the dozens of others interesting.- MGG

Ultimately, EA Sports FC 26 is still a more interesting version than its predecessor, with a large number of teams, substantial content, and increasingly comprehensive gameplay thanks to its separation into two distinct styles. Of course, it's far from perfect, and this is evident in a number of areas, such as optimization, particularly on PC, and the various bugs that can be encountered during games. So, is it worth the price? It's hard to say, because if you're a soccer fan, you'll have plenty to keep you busy in single-player and online modes, but if you want to discover a game series based on this sport, you might want to wait for a future installment.- MGG

Steelrising is a game that borrows a lot of good ideas from other titles of the genre while putting its own identity. Paris is an incredible playground where the artistic direction takes all its meaning and gives us a lot of eye candy. However, the technical side of the game struggles to keep up and we can clearly feel that the studio lacked the means to achieve its ambitions. The gameplay is very well thought out, rigid without being rigid, which fits perfectly with our character devoid of flesh and blood. With Hot Wheels Unleashed, the Mattel brand succeeds in its return to video games with a dynamic title, easy to handle, fluid and really fun. Everything breathes the Hot Wheels spirit and that's good. Despite a feeling of repetitiveness linked to the use of only 5 environments, it contains a lot of good ideas and often gives you a good feeling, especially during the boss races. Deathloop is a good experience that mixes genres and inspirations against the backdrop of an assassination-based time puzzle. The island and the characters are full of personality, which makes the exploration and discovery of secrets satisfying at first. But you quickly realize that the title doesn't have the means of its ambitions, it's not a very good FPS, nor a good puzzle game, and it doesn't reach the level of Hitman on infiltration and creativity of assassinations. Despite its limitations, you still have a good time on Blackreef Island, and it's fun to progress from loop to loop, getting faster and faster while killing your targets at lightning speed. Diablo 2 Resurrected has a stunning graphical overhaul as well as satisfactory controller support, but it's really not a remaster for the masses: it's primarily aimed at fans of the original title. Nostalgia won't necessarily be enough to make you forget the lack of modernization of many interface or gameplay elements. Rainbow Six Extraction is a good cooperative PvE game that takes the codes of Rainbow Six Siege. The stealth, the management of our agents, the difficulty encountered, the intelligence of the monsters and the strategy make it a totally different game and does not feel like a flat copy of Left 4 Dead. The campaign keeps the player on the edge of his seat, to the point where you want to know more and hope to see a sequel to this story. The mechanics brought by the Story Mode, the dialogue choice and the impression of being protagonist give a real boost to the campaign, even if it represents only five to seven hours of play. The new multiplayer modes are great and bring a new dynamic, but the operators' movements limit our experience on these big maps. So, is Silent Hill f a worthy representative of the cult saga? The answer is nuanced. Yes, certain elements remind us of what we love about Silent Hill: a chilling soundscape, memorable bosses, an oppressive atmosphere. But no, it's not the rebirth we were hoping for: the graphics are disappointing, the story lacks maturity, and, above all, the combat system weighs down the experience. I wouldn't say that Silent Hill f is a bad game. It contains interesting ideas, moments of grace, and proves that the franchise still has something to say. But it's not yet the big comeback that will put the first Silent Hill games back at the top of survival horror. In short, Silent Hill f is a step sideways. Very enjoyable and more pleasant to play than Dying Light 2 in some respects, thanks in particular to its highly satisfying parkour and no-frills adventure, Dying Light the Beast remains a minor episode in Techland's series. Despite a smaller play area and a very short campaign, the game still ends up becoming repetitive after a few hours, due to uninteresting side activities and a poorly constructed map. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is an interesting and engaging tactical game, it should have in theory a huge lifespan with its 3 factions, its rogue-like campaigns replayable in many ways and its ton of units, equipment, skills and heroes. Observer: System Redux is a clear improvement of the original game by giving it the graphic engine of the most recent Bloober Team games. The three new investigations deepen the themes of the game and this is good news as the universe of Observer is thought-provoking. A solid FPS with hack-and-slash mechanics that are just as strong, Borderlands 3 is a devilishly effective game, one ideally enjoyed with friends. Its four distinct character classes and consistent content are both arguments for this third canonical episode being a highly recommendable title. However, the experience is ruined by the many bugs, glitches and other wild issues that currently plague the game, although an inevitable first patch should ease all that. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor occupies a bit of the same niche as Hogwarts Legacy. It's a very attractive game for fans of the license, and it's good enough to appeal to a wider audience, but it doesn't excel in any area. While the graphics are far from state-of-the-art, the animations and art direction are very good. The combat is dynamic and satisfying, with swordplay styles adding a welcome touch of variety, but it's sometimes very poorly balanced, with incomprehensible spikes in difficulty.
