Although Valorant's life has only just begun, the feeling we have is that it's here to stay in the competitive FPS scene. It's a shooter that feels very good to play, that is very accurate and that, without being exactly original, It combines elements already established to give us a formula that is extremely successful.- Malditos Nerds

Arise’s main attraction is its story - a pleasing artistic experience. Each level symbolizes a moment of our character’s life, not only in the narrative sense, but also thematically and aesthetically. As a video game, on the other hand, Arise doesn’t add up to much, as the objectives aren’t clear enough and its controls are less responsive than they should be.- Malditos Nerds

At a certain point, it becomes challenging to find the ideal words to describe Granblue Fantasy: Relink because I feel that none are sufficient. Rare are the games that leave me feeling this way. Those games that, no matter how hard I try to find a negative aspect, I cannot. Those games that I want to keep playing for hours on end without a break, like when I was a carefree child. Those games that remind me why I love video games. And Granblue Fantasy: Relink is one of those games.- Malditos Nerds

Paper Mario: The Origami King is made with care and love; it's clear that its developers know this universe perfectly and adore it as much as Mario fans. Despite some difficulty peaks, bosses are cleverly designed, they are visually striking and some even perform a memorable musical number. Resident Evil 3 as a survival horror hits the spot, and, as a remake, it's another great game by Capcom. It feels less unique and less ambitious compared to Resident Evil 2 which, arriving earlier, inevitably kicked in with all its surprises and ended up being the basis for this sequel. Comparisons are inevitable, but this does not mean that Resident Evil 3 does not live up to the expectations, especially with what Nemesis means, a monster that's been causing nightmares for more than 20 years. It's an essentially faithful remake, with few shortcomings and just the right changes to make it worthwhile both for fans and newcomers alike.- Malditos Nerds

If I think of Final Fantasy XVI today as a package to play from start to finish, I think of an unparalleled expedition with a lot to tell, with its two expansions, about a world slowly approaching ruin. Perhaps, being a slave to the excitement and mystery of Japanese plot twists made me wait longer than I should have. Perhaps, the "terrible and lost" Leviathan was nothing more than a hope for the players, one that Clive knew from the start would not change his actions and that, in the end, he would have to say goodbye to his fans.- Malditos Nerds

Weird West is original and offers a fresh, immersive and highly entertaining experience. Its high points include a gripping story in which all our actions matter and a beautiful artwork. The game has obvious limitations, but manages to capture the essence of the Wild West.- Malditos Nerds

Dying Light 2: Stay Human isn't a revolution as the first game, but it is a solid entry with hours and hours of content, although probably not as long as 500 hours. It has everything it needs to become a game that fans are going to love.- Malditos Nerds

Broken Lines isn’t the typical indie strategy game that presents itself as a simple clone of XCOM or another AAA title. It offers a bunch of mechanics that feels new, with compelling storytelling.- Malditos Nerds

If what you're looking for is to play tennis, TopSpin 2K25 is the best way to do it in 2024. If you want something more or to play casually, the presence of microtransactions and the limited variety of professional players (which is not the case for the stadiums!) do not justify the price to pay.- Malditos Nerds

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands doesn't kick the board to reformulate the Borderlands series, but it brings enough fresh air to boost the series. The game characters, dialogues and craziness are much more interesting, dynamic and fun than in previous entries, and they provide a good base on which to build future titles in the franchise.- Malditos Nerds

The work of Creative Business Unit 3 is once again reflected in a short experience that leaves us wanting to see much more of what's to come next year. Echoes of the Fallen is more of Final Fantasy XVI, with its hits and misses. Let's hope that Naoki Yoshida and his team will display more of the possibilities that this world has to offer in its next release.- Malditos Nerds

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War lives up to the series, with a brilliant campaign and content-packed multiplayer modes, yet the online experience is overshadowed by a handful of ugly menus, few initial operators, and bland cosmetic items.- Malditos Nerds

Mortal Shell is the first soulslike to understand the true essence of the genre and, therefore, deserves a place above any other exponent not developed by From Software. Despite its weaknesses, it's one of the most exciting, well executed and beautiful soulslikes I have played in the last decade.- Malditos Nerds

Despite being too similar to its inspirations, Coffee Talk is a unique blend of love for retro style, chillout music and a surprisingly vivid and fantasy portrayal of Seattle. A beautiful and relaxing experience that succeeds as a hybrid of barista simulation and traditional visual novel.- Malditos Nerds

It's not a frustrating game, nor is it a bad proposal, but it does fall halfway down the road by failing to stand out. The open world that invites us to go through the playlists, before unlocking fast travel, is aesthetically appealing, but it feels like a ghost town where nothing happens and our gameplay loop lacks basic fun. The playlists are a great aspect, but not all of them are interesting to explore, leaving aside the strong offering of vehicles with anecdotal experiences that aren't all that worthwhile. On the plus side, it continues to appeal to arcade adrenaline. While it wants to copy something that was previously successful, it doesn't end up being a meaningless copy.- Malditos Nerds
