Because you'll have access to most cars to begin with, Most Wanted U can be slightly overwhelming without providing you with a good starting point. The exploring also gets shoved to the background quite significantly. It soon turns out that this makes for a better game though, that provides you with more freedom as a player. The wingman-functions allow Fairhaven to be conquered with a friend, but these are too experimental to really make Most Wanted U succeed as a co-op game. Still, this is the best version of an already great racing game.

You'd better follow your instinct when it comes to this Walking Dead-game. Survival Instinct a rushed and unpolished game. That this shambling corpse actually contains a few good ideas is not a good enough reason to endure the brain-rotting gameplay. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct shouldn't have risen from the dead to begin with.

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is a simple shooter that's made to play with a friend. You'll compose your own weapons, converse about tactics and do this for eight hours or so until you've finished the campaign. It's a wonderful co-op game that falls short, mostly due to the annoying variation between dumb action and emotional moments. The lack of polish and modes make this a game that is truly only fit for those who only play co-op games.

Terraria is a game you can completely lose yourself in, also on consoles. The transference to controller was mostly successful and other elements like a map and a (short) tutorial make the game more playable. It still throws you in the deep end right away though, so learning how to swim might take some fishing around on the internet. Whoever manages to get through the first, nearly impenetrable, layer, awaits a deep world with expansive (home-made) adventures.

Lego City: Undercover is, like most Lego-games, a perfectly good game for all ages. Especially the older gamer will appreciate the subtle references to many games and movies, although you’ll have to consider whether the kiddy style of the game is for you. If it is, you’ll have a game that you will enjoy longer than the time you spent playing with your Lego-city, which currently resides in your attic.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time's biggest upside is obviously the amount of variety. You'll never do the same thing for long, because before you know it, you're controlling another character in a new environment. Because of this, Sly is a platformer with a very high pace, but the lack of challenge will also make you go through faster than you might expect. It seems to focus more on a younger audience, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy this game as an adult.

BioShock: Infinite is a marvelous masterpiece, a must have, a unique and beautiful game and maybe the best game of recent years. Everything about this game just makes sense. It offers a beautiful world, a good balance between action, exploration and story. And my god, what a story! Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 proves two things: it’s tough to develop a good sniper game and even harder to turn that into a good multiplayer game. The single-player entertains in its first few hours, when not expecting too much on a technical side, because this is a budget-game. Unfortunately it’s blatantly obvious how scripted this game is and you’ll be slaughtering complete terrorist cells like Vasily Zaytsev trained you himself. The multiplayer’s been set up completely wrong, and it amounts to nothing more than camping, camping and more camping.

My middling expectations of the solo-adventure seem to be just: it’s not bad, but obviously a step back when compared to the previous installment. Variety is nowhere to be found and the story never blossoms. The Aftermath campaign only makes up for that a little. It’s the multiplayer where Judgment shines. The action feels fresh, is wonderfully fast and the OverRun and Survivor modes offer a strategic experience that’ll soothe Horde-fans and newcomers alike. With that said, Judgment isn’t the complete package we hoped for, but it is an accessible and brutal multiplayer gamer.

Sonic has always been an endless runner of sorts, and Sonic Dash fits perfectly in that picture. Thanks to the simple controls, running through the colorful environments is a joy. Sadly it is lacking in the amount of these environments and extra characters don’t really add anything. Aside from that, the game seems to push you towards in-app purchases a lot, which acts like a big stormy cloud above its joyful core.

A fantastic translation to games of America’s national pastime, baseball. Practically all facets of the popular sport can be found in the game, in a very realistic manner. This holds true for the players, who look great and are animated brilliantly. It’s almost as if you’re actually a part of the Major Leagues. For whoever wants to start playing with their own homemade player, the excellent Road to the Show-mode’s got you covered. There are a few sloppy mistakes, but that doesn’t affect the fun you’ll have in any way. Fun that can be had, not only by baseball-veterans, but also by newcomers.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is ideal for Wii U-owners who are up for a challenge in which they can easily lose dozens of hours. Mirror of Fate doesn’t do much terribly wrong, but doesn’t do much greatly either. All parts are subjected to a story that doesn’t live up to standards. It’s party Lords of Shadow with a deep, perfectly integrated combat system that hardly gets put to the test. It’s partly Metroidvania, but exploration doesn’t have a great impact due to lackluster upgrades. When holding Mirror of Fate up to a mirror, it mostly misses a clear execution of a number of good ideas.

Real Racing 3 is graphically still very impressive with 46 beautiful cars at your fingertips. These all control greatly, but never achieve the finesse of an actual racing simulation. The choice to go with the freemium-model might frustrate, but can be handled when playing smartly. With time-shifted multiplayer, Firemonkeys makes a small step in the right direction. Unfortunately this seems to have happened at the expense of actual multiplayer, that shines in its absence along with a few other options. But even without these options Real Racing 3 is one of the better and prettiest racing-games for your tablet or mobile phone.

SimCity has the potential to become a true goliath in the city building-genre, but is still being bogged down by too many problems, like the randomness with which services are exchanged in a region or the idiocy with which working citizens drive to work. That the buildable surface is smaller than in previous installments didn’t bother us that much because there are enough devices that will let players put every bit of space to good use. It would help though, if the intercity cooperation and chaotic traffic would be improved with a patch.

It takes six hours for God of War: Ascension to get going, which is a long time. Fortunately the spectacular final set piece manages to save the game. Because of this crooked balance, and a long line of minor mistakes, this is the lesser of the God of War games currently available. It feels like the typical God of War-formula was saved for the multiplayer, which is surprisingly fun. The combat system is well balanced and every map has a typical God of War-surprise in place for players. This makes Ascension a Pandora's box of sorts, with the unnecessary choices on top, covering hope.

It’s more style than substance, but that isn’t a bad thing. However, Platinum Games hasn’t fully embraced this fact and tried to bring a serious story with depth to the table. In which it failed miserably. The game is pure action: a hack and slash game you’ll have to memorize to master. The Blade Mode is a great addition to the series, but the parry system isn’t quite as memorable. Moves seamlessly come together under the guidance of an amazing soundtrack, which constantly pushes you to set an even better score. That this symbiosis of style and content isn't found in the other elements of the game, becomes painfully clear when Dante is trying to act though with bad jokes and terrible one-liners. Sony managed to rewrite the manual for party brawlers and has, despite minor faults, delivered a great fighting game. The super system works well and feels refreshing. With beautiful environments and unique fighting styles Battle Royale will entertain you for quite a while.

A fun and special race game filled with Sega nostalgia. It may be a little bit sad to think that all these special characters can nowadays only be found in a race game, but Transformed is such a good one, that it doesn't even really matter.

WRC 3 doesn't have enough modes and drives quite horrendously. The only upside to the game are the licensed drivers and tracks. This, however, is not enough to qualify as a good racing game.

One thing has to be said about Spy Hunter: the game is very consistent. The graphics, the controls and the way the game is dressed up; it's all consistently terrible. Save your money for a movie ticket to Skyfall or buy some 007 movies on Blu-Ray, because that'll give you a hundred times more secret agent fun than Spy Hunter ever will.

Are Pokémon Black and White 2 just as impressive as other Pokémon games? No. Can you enjoy the games just as much as any other Pokémon game? Yes! Pokémon Black and White 2 are refined versions of the first Pokémon Black and White games that offers enough new content to keep you entertained for forty, sixty or even a hundred hours of Pokéfun. Just don't expect any revolutionary changes.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter doesn't live up to its expectations. The single player features six hours of shooting dumb and scripted enemies. Only the chase through Dubai will linger in your mind after you finish the game. The multiplayer has improved thanks to the addition of fire teams, but the indestructibility of environments and a boring unlock system make sure the multiplayer won't rob you of your night's rest.

Angry Birds Trilogy is exactly what you'd expect: the Angry Birds fun you're familiar with, but in high-definition and better controls. The addition of Kinect functionality doesn't really do the game any good, but the controller is more than enough to have your share of Angry Birds fun.

Jet Set Radio is still a wonderful, unique game after all these years. Making your own tag and spraying it on walls, while listening to a funky sound track is still special. The controls are somewhat lacking and the framerate isn't always good. But this funky game is still worth a try.

Dead or Alive 5 suffers from stylistic schizophrenia; it switches between the semi-erotic style of Itagaki and the semi-realistic style of Hayashi. This gets on your nerves from time to time, especially for fans of the series. But even fans can't deny that the fifth part in the series is a damn good fighter; a fighter with possibly the best 3D fighting system ever.

Inazuma Eleven Strikers is like eggs without bacon; it's just not finished. The game misses a grand story that ties all the matches together, because the gameplay itself is too weak to do that. Strikers misses every good thing the Inazuma Eleven series has ever given us and even the flashy animations the Wii puts on the screen can't make us forget this.

Dishonored is an amazing game, but has its lesser moments. The ingenuity and creativity that can be used by the player is nothing short of spectacular at times and the steam punk style fits the world perfectly. On the other hand the developer could have spent more time on storytelling and the game has some technical faults. Because of this Dishonored never really lives up to its full potential.

The ambition of Capcom is admirable; it makes for a lengthy game and offers a lot of positive moments. Unfortunately these are interspersed with some pretty steep lows. Especially the campaigns of Leon and Ada leave us with a good feeling, but Resident Evil 6 is too messy to really excel.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes tries to capture the dark side of the master detective, but thanks to the awkward animations we barely recognize Holmes.
