Ubisoft's balance of open world gameplay and FPS action really hits the mark, and overall the game does a fantastic job in providing players with an interesting, immersive gaming experience.

So here we are again with another instalment from the Far Cry universe that definitely goes beyond the previous games. With a relatable protagonist, a story that truly draws you in from the very first moments of the game, Far Cry 3 also contains a very sturdy game engine that almost makes it the perfect game. It just flows so well from the first to the last level... and the vehicles are just awesome.

Co-op is always a blast, the campaign is lengthy and ceaselessly involving, and the promotion of freedom and player choice is amazing.

For as large as Far Cry 3′s setting is, there's an elegant conciseness to the game's story mode. It'll still take tens of hours for completionists to get through, but the fast travel and dense map ensures you always have something meaningful to do within minutes.

Far Cry 3 delivers a delightfully compelling narrative in a beautiful open world environment. The single-player is captivating from start to finish, and while the multiplayer lacks inspiration, it offers a decent distraction if you're looking for some fun in the sun with friends.

It's a fun first person shooter. One with story issues and awful characters, but also with hunting and manta rays and hang gliding over beautiful scenery.

Despite being hampered by a well meaning, but ultimately interfering, plot, Far Cry 3 has evolved into a decadent, playful and exciting title. Be it quality programming, dumb luck or a mixture of them both, the game plunges you into a thick, gloopy world of sugary gameplay, shimmering visuals, intoxicating audio as well as a great deal more. It's long, stupid and buckets of fun - just what you need to burn away the winter blues.

The combat system allows you to play the game your own way, whether it be like rambo or hitman, or a combination of both himbon! and many other play styles.. The story could be strong, but its easily over looked when there is so much to do and explore.. This has quickly become one of my top 5 favorite games of all time, I would rank it up there with the GTA Series, Elderscrolls, dark souls and halflife.. The co-op adds many more ours of fun and a social immersion into the tropical island paradise/hell.. Get this game you won't regret it, definitely worth the $70 Expand

The gigantic world to explore. The freedom to either go guns blazing or pick them off like a ninja. The multiplayer and co-op are good too. And Vaas is an awesome villian. One of the only things I didnt like was that almost all the boss fights are quick time events. In all it was a fantastic game that I had a lot of fun with. Expand

The engineering of the entire game is just amazing, how they created the gameplay. If you bought the last game and enjoyed it, this is definitely a game worth buying. The main thing I like is that it puts the game back into the hands of the player unlike an interactive movie *cough*COD*cough*. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want. You can hunt to get all the capacity upgrades, explore both islands, climb all of the radio towers, get all the bases, etc. even before you do the story. The one thing I didn't love was the lack of weapon variety. It seemed that there weren't enough weapons to really have a huge variation with. The visuals and physics are beautiful, the knife assassinations are amazing, vehicles are an amazing addition to the game, the characters are colorful, etc. Expand

This is because of the amazing open world and the great story although it was not perfect it could get a bit repetitive in some parts of story for example there were a lot of very slow missions were you have to sneak round with out being seen now I am fine with this but I think there were slightly to many of them. So much to doThis game has a great story and a beautiful, big open world! If you love open world games, then you should definitely buy this! So much to do in Far Cry 3... Hunting, collectibles, Take a boat and just go anywhere you want... Then why not a 10 or 9? The MP isn't a lot of fun and the co-op hasn't got a quite exciting story either Expand

The story is typical and cliche, with various mindless actions and decisions, typical missions to endure enemies or rare, with dreams and magic potions. Vaas is a pretty bad villain and hoyt a little better but still, friends are hateful, like all characters.

Clear the map, towers, areas ... skills that you learn with points instead of learning and improving them. stupid i.a., who stare at a wall or lose you if you are behind a plant, bad physics, bad moves for a first person game.

Perhaps in his year of departure all this was not so evident but today he has aged very badly. There is nothing that stands out for the better.
