   I have loved the game very much. The mechanics of shooting and driving, exploration, hunting, enemies that react in a greasy way to anything,I have loved the game very much. There are bad things about this game, like that Vaas's participation is very short and he reappears when he dies. They take you away from where you want to go and you have to return in an annoying way. Still, there are more good things than bad.… Expand

   Far Cry 3 was one of my favourite games of 2012, in fact I think it was in my top 5 game’s of the year. The Far Cry series has always been aFar Cry 3 was one of my favourite games of 2012, in fact I think it was in my top 5 game’s of the year. The Far Cry series has always been a favourite of mine and Far Cry 3 is probably my 1st favourite game in the series just ahead of Far Cry 5, so as you can imagine I was quite looking forward to this particular remaster. I was however a little worried as well because remasters often take away a game’s true identity and you don’t end up enjoying it as much as you did the first time around. Thankfully this isn’t the case with this remaster because it feels just as good now as it did back in 2012, which is awesome. The story which was one of the best aspects about the original game is thankfully just as good and interesting as it was back then and it was a pleasure to play through it again. I was however a little worried to see how the gameplay had aged, but thankfully these worries were soon relieved. The gameplay has aged extremely well and the shooting mechanics still feel fun and most important of all responsive throughout your time with the game. The missions also remain fun and interesting throughout and the amount of variety in each different mission keeps things fresh and interesting for quite a while. This is a very good thing because in terms of content the game has a decent amount for you to get to grips with and the best thing is that the content has a lot of variety dotted throughout. Despite the decent amount of content the game has I was however a little disappointed to see that both the online co-op and map editor modes weren’t included. This is a shame because both these aspects in the original game worked really well and gave the game even more replayability back in the day. Whilst I was disappointed by them not having them inclusions in the remaster I was still able to look past this and that was mainly down to the game’s fantastic world. Exploring this fantastic world again was as exciting as ever and the best thing is that I forgot about some of the locations so it was nice to jog my memory and revisit them again. As far as remasters go there isn’t that many improvents about but there is in terms of the presentation side of the game. Visually the game has more polish this time around and when the newly improved visuals combine with the very good sound design you do end up having even more of an immersive experience this time around. At the end of the day if you’ve never played Far Cry 3 before then I fully recommend that you try this version out first because it does feel more modern than the original. That being said I would recommend this version even if you’ve played the original because it’s still a great game in remastered form. Two thumbs up!… Expand

   The game starts with a bunch of young adults having fun and next thing you know, you and your little brother are in a cage, with the others nowhere to be found, this is where youre introduced to this games main antagonist vaas, who then shoots your brother, you run away and you spend the rest of the game trying to find your friends and get revenger for you little brother.. .
   I havnt played far cry 3 before, and with it being released for current gen consoles, being included in the far cry 5 season pass I thought I would go back and play the ps3 version..
   after hearing such great things about how this game was robbed for game of the year 2012 by releasing in December.. I was even more excited for what is supposed to be the best game in the far cry series…
   And im sorry to break your hearts, but I just don’t see it..
   And lets be real.. 2012 we saw the likes of dishonored, assassins creed 3, the walking dead season , lollipop chainsaw, borderlands 2, and journey… get out of here with that robbed nonsense…
   Is far cry 3 the best game in the series?
   If we don’t count far cry primal, it actually probably is.. that much I agree on.. though Ive never touched far cry 4…
   right off the bat, my eyes needed some adjusting.. im geunuinely surprised how bad this only nearly 6 year old game now looks.. I had to get used to the old school graphics to really immerse myself into the world.. thankfully after a couple of hours my brain and eyes did adjust and the negative critiquing ends there..
   Because Far Cry 3 while is insanely overrated is stil la really good game
   what makes far cry 3 so great is that its so simple and linear… youre placed on a giant island is towers to climb to reveal the map.. its crawling with plants and animals to hunt so you can upgrade your gear, posts to liberate for fast travel points.. and the story is delivered with emotion and great design that we don’t get in the more modern far cry games
   I much prefer this delivery style over the recent separate regions, go do things to challenge the region leader nonsense they do now, it pulls everything in and makes It feel personal..
   here youl lbe doing a variety of queststhat as you could guess involves a lot of shooting, with the occasional annoying stealth missions thrown in here…
   But it never feels like just busy work, I had fun through the whole campaign, and my favorite moments much like in far cry 5 were the moments where youre going through weird hallucinations…
   it’s a clever way to create unrealistic levels and bring them into reality and I appreciate that..
   and completing quests will reward you with xp that goes towards skill points you can throw in your skill tree
   world design however is just okay, not much incentive to explore…
   it’s a bunch of greens and blues.. I didn’t feel like much care went into crafting it, but works as land in between missions, and does a great job of coming to life during the main story line..
   A story that was again just kind of okay, none of the characters blew me away, there are some surprised in the story.. but nothing that really drew me in or pulled me through to the end..
   the pure fun of the gameplay, the shooting, the tower climbing, the hunting.. that’s what kept me going..
   there is also co op maps and online multiplayer here but beign a 6 year old game as you would guess theres not many people still playing and there isn’t much to say about it.. its just one of those tacked on multiplayer modes that every AAA ps3 game had
   Ultimately I enjoyed Far Cry 3
   Its not as great as everyone remembers it being.. it doesn’t hold up..
   but its still decently fun
   I give far cry 3
   a 7.5/10… Expand

Every time, once I run a game with check points, I practically hear the game's creators' excuses, "Sorry, pal, we can't implement a normal save system, so we're gonna make you pay your time for our laziness." Vaas is a pretty bad villain and hoyt a little better but still, friends are hateful, like all characters.
   
   Clear the map, towers, areas ... skills that you learn with points instead of learning and improving them. stupid i.a., who stare at a wall or lose you if you are behind a plant, bad physics, bad moves for a first person game.
   
   Perhaps in his year of departure all this was not so evident but today he has aged very badly. There is nothing that stands out for the better.… Expand
