BIOMUTANT has a lot of charm, and a lot of promise when you first boot it up. But after a few hours, you start to see the cracks, the lack of depth, and the magic melts away. If you’re up for an outpost clearing, kung fu adventure it might be fine for you. However many of us were hoping for something more.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is an intriguing and well-written interactive adventure, it's just a shame that less attention was paid towards the presentation. It may be just the PS3 version, but the frame rate may be an unfortunate distraction for people used to the high standard set by the current generation of hardware. For fans of the series and characters however, there's plenty of solid narrative and development that may cause you to look at your beloved Holmes in a much darker light.

Ultimately Conan Exiles is a slow paced game with no quick pay offs. It provides a sense of wonder with its locations and the things that populate them. There is danger in the persistent online world which adds to the need to log on often to keep an eye on things. If you are not prepared to put the hours in, this is a title that is better left alone.

In conclusion, Disney have a fantastic franchise and it's a shame that they drop the ball every now and then and unfortunately Toy Story Mania! is one of those moments.

Heroes Battle Awakening puts you in charge of defending a five-lane battlefield, carefully balancing coin collection and unit placement to stop waves of skeletons, orcs, and flying sorcerers. The game’s mix of different units and abilities keeps the strategy engaging, though some levels lean heavily on trial-and-error, and occasional glitches with bombs or freeze effects can throw off even the best-laid plans. Overall, it’s a charming but occasionally frustrating tower defense experience that rewards patience and careful thinking.

At the end of the day, Terminator Salvation is a strange game, it’s definitely not the best movie game and it’s also not the worst, however it’s closer on that end of the spectrum.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior suffers from far too many little bugs and annoyances to make it a recommendable game.

All in all Yesterday Origins is a nice point and click title that seasoned gamers and new comers alike would be right at home with.

I can’t really recommend the game for the price… if it was on a deep discount, then sure, it can be fun to challenge yourself to some questions (though it would be nice if you could also skip your characters last comment before their answer is accepted)… but the game feels a bit “discount” productionwise for what they are charging.

Ultimately, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is a solid, compact experience that showcases strong fundamentals. Movement feels good, boss encounters are engaging, and the writing has a distinct voice. At the same time, its most promising mechanics are not explored deeply enough, and its metroidvania elements remain surface level. The procedural component adds replay value in theory, but does not meaningfully expand the scope. For anyone seeking a brief, well controlled action platformer with personality, it delivers. For those expecting a robust, sprawling metroidvania, it may feel underdeveloped. It is a good game that hints at something greater, even if it never fully reaches that potential.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 may not do total justice to our hero, but the ride is a good comic book distraction.

A remaster of the all-time classic game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Brothers Remake is perfectly passable, but its many flaws mean it misses the point by a few metres.

The original Call of Juarez had something that had not really been explored, particularly in modern titles. Moving into modern times without maximising the modern gunslinger character this is just another run of the mill first person shooter.

No Longer Home is a few hours long, and moves at a brisk enough pace, but all in all, your enjoyment of this game will heavily rest on your ability to relate to the personal storytelling, its exploration of sensitive subjects, such as depression, suicide ideation and gender identity (of which there is a content warning in the main menu to let audiences know) and its upfront premise of a dialogue-heavy, point-and-click narrative over conventional gameplay systems.

Overall… I really wouldn’t recommend you get WWE 2K18… maybe if it’s on deep deep discount but it’s just not a polished game at all. If you still have it, maybe dust off the old N64 and grab some mates and have a good old fashioned Slobber Knocker that way instead.

Manage your staff, respond to emergencies, and investigate crimes in a city on the brink of chaos.

Even with an outstanding Hot Wheels license to work with, Hot Wheels Unleashed’s generic and uninspired execution coupled with lower presentation qualities makes it a below average racing title.

The premise of the game sounds great! However, the lack of attention to detail, the repetitiveness, and not having any big reward, lets it down. Hopefully this is a game that can evolve in the future because it is an interesting concept, but it isn’t fully there just yet.

I just wish that Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness was a little more refined: it isn’t an unpleasant experience, but there is very little ground-breaking about it.

Overall, I honestly believe that Stray Blade could’ve been something a lot greater than what it ended up being. Having said that there is room for the developers to fix these little niggling issues and make this into a game worthy of your money. At the moment this title is a souls like for beginners, but even then would not prepare you to put on your big boy pants and play a game that is harder. There are too many technical issues regarding input delay and general timing to ever make you better than what this game will allow you to be right here and now.

NBA 2K22 Switch simply doesn’t cut it. It tries to pack too much into too little, and ends up with modes that don’t work, difficult to embrace graphics, endless load times, poor shot meter dynamics, and impossible on-ball defense. An impossible start to a title not likely to get patched to playability.

Real Heroes: Firefighter HD is a really fun game that is satisfying to complete. The uncomplicated and unpressured nature the game provides make this an easy pick up for anyone who may be interested in a firefighting adventure. The quippy dialogue, assorted levels, compelling usage of firefighter tools, and rapid action serves up a quality experience. While some may prefer the previous art style from the original game, the comic book aesthetic looks great and contributes more to the game’s attitude. The game lacks much replay value with undesirable unlockables and there are some bugs that may set you a good way back into a level making you repeat objectives over again, but what is here is a gratifying time that will ignite your heart with a burning passion to keep playing and become a hero!

However while it’s rough around the edges, I liked it. It’s not a fantastic game, but it’s just the beginning of the collect-a-thon revival.

As terrible and overused as this statement is, Remember Me is definitely not worth remembering, from a gameplay perspective at least. It’s unpolished, unoriginal and can be found done much better in games before it.

I like the concept. I also don’t even really mind the high cost to upgrade everything, mostly because once you realise the false sense of time pressure of having to accept the next client as soon as they arrive is not real (clients come and go… the important thing is not to accept a new client if you aren’t ready to deal with their request… that’s when the real clock starts ticking). You can develop a workflow of gathering ore while you wait for an ingot to form or for the next client and start getting things ready for the next order. But when you’ve made so much progress to then have the game soft lock you and essentially throw all that (very) hard won progress away… it just becomes unplayable. Either wait until a patch that fixes these or possibly even have a look at the other blacksmith simulator that is available (yes there is a different blacksmith simulator in existence).

Overall, the controls for Rescue 2 are simple enough to become accustomed to, the music isn’t too overpowering but it does not give too much variety, and the graphics are about on par with what would be expected in a game such as this.

Ugly, unplayable, and filled with glitches, not even the biggest wrestling fan should pick up WWE 2K20 in its current state.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will appeal those love decorating homes and collecting Nintendo’s new amiibo cards, but for the rest of us, it’s a broken home.

Is this a title worth getting? I’d say yes most definitely if you are a fan. If you are not then you certainly will need to make sure that you are ready for a massive game where you will not have any idea who most of the characters are. Having said that the entire title is pretty well rounded off, and the character development is interesting enough to keep you playing, but not so hard it will put you off.

An enjoyable game at its core that is riddled with bugs that suck that fun out of the experience, making it a difficult sell at the moment.

This ‘rogue-like’ gaming experience is rewarding for those who are fans of this methodical genre. It is slow, patient game, built on the acquisition of knowledge and resources to uncover the mysteries of the deep. It appeals to a certain type of gamer, one who embraces the challenge and has the patience to explore the lore which is waiting for you. The persistent darkness sets the scene of mystery and the ever-looming threat of perma-death has your every decisions loaded with implications.

Some people enjoy the hard slog of grinding away at combat to progress others like to have a bit of challenge but ultimately be able to progress without feeling like they are just locked in a combat Groundhog day. If you enjoy the tough grind then Empyreal may well be right up your alley. If you believe that the easy setting on a game should mean just that and not seemingly be completely ignored when the game starts perhaps give it a miss.

A complete and utter physics and gameplay mess, not even diehards of MX, ATV and/or UTV racing should start this race.

A bold update to the physics and move to Unreal Engine 5 in this years title introduces more problems than it solves.

Overall the storyline is good but sometimes poorly executed, with one example being when a group a survivors have the time to sit down and chat about life (complete with violin-esque music) in the middle of man hunt and impeding zombie attack on their community. In saying that though, the character developments and the evolving relationships between them makes the game genuinely interesting and engaging. And you cannot help but have a concern for their welfare.

The saving grace for the game is the characters and their relationships with each other (especially between Javier and Kate). I feel connected to them and I want to follow them onto the next episode to see how they resolve the major cliffhanger at the end of episode 4. Fingers crossed episode 5 steps up it’s game!

A half decent brawler brought low by numerous bugs and technical difficulties.

This DLC should have been, and would have been far better as part of the standard game, but it ultimately is a mediocre experience at best; it’s very distracting and at times incredibly frustrating, especially when you get ‘spammed’ by the exact same message 10+ times in a row from the same faction leader, each with a like/dislike ability regardless if answered. It is this reviewer’s preference that the bugs and undesirable behaviours in the main game be addressed as a preference to new DLC’s being released..

Mighty No. 9 is a game hamstrung by its own hubris. By choosing to rely upon archaic design decisions and outdated level design it fails to achieve the level of success so clearly desired by the developers.

Clockwork Empires is an interesting premise heavily weighed down by its unfinished feel. Too many bugs, crashes, and unintuitive gameplay options make it hard to recommend in its current state. If all the glitches are ironed out, I’m eager to see what emerges.

If you enjoy mildly creep games that allow you to do things at your own pace, give you plenty of collectibles to track down and story that’s a slow burn, then I would say this game is for you. As for me, I didn’t not enjoy my time with Someday You’ll Return, and though the title might say that someday I will return, I know in my heart that I won’t.

Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx is a game that targets children, however it lacks the polish of other games and as a result becomes quite repetitive and frustrating which mirrored the opinion of my kids. In the end, this game based on the popular TV series could have been a far more superior experience. Just because a game targets children doesn’t mean it needs to be mediocre.

Unless you are the hardest of hardcore Hellboy fan and just have to soak up any source of story from anywhere you can… I’d give this a big miss. I’m still hoping for the day that Hellboy is picked up as an episodic show (like The Witcher), I think that would be a fantastic format to see our favourite big red hero!

Micromanaging your cosmos expansion...look to the Horizon.

Ashwalkers is nothing but a seedling of an idea that is struggling to grow in the fields of ash that surround it.

At the current price I would not recommend purchasing. It’s a bit of fun but it’s really more like a bonus you’d get with the main Wolfenstein game rather than a separate product you need to pay a pretty hefty price for. If it goes on deep discount or if they decide to add a lot more missions it will be more appealing… but for now… maybe seek your cyberpiloting thrills elsewhere.

Portrait of a Torn is a short, narrative driven mystery that focuses on atmosphere, exploration, and emotional storytelling. You move through a quiet, unsettling home, solving light puzzles while uncovering a tragic story piece by piece. While the ending and a few technical issues hold it back, the experience is still engaging if you enjoy slow, reflective walking sims.

To justify buying the game now, you’d have to have supreme confidence in Tripwire (whose team has changed dramatically since KF2), and assume that they’re treating this like an Early Access game, but realistically, it’s better to wait and go play the other games in the meantime.

Commandos 2 – HD Remaster is still very much the same game from nineteen years ago but sadly, it has not aged well. The release of this HD remaster is clearly premature and only time will tell if it can be saved. However, I do admit that the game isn’t unplayable and if you’re willing to look past some of the issues, Commandos 2 is still a fun and challenging game.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a serviceable, albeit disappointing fighting game release. Solid enough gameplay mechanics and flair dampened by a terrible main story mode, unappealing character designs and a lack of general polish.

The Hunter Call of the Wild Simulates hunting down animals, maybe a little to well. If You know what hunting is all about you know what to expect. Long minutes or more stalking before you get a shot.

The dark atmosphere and thrilling plot are essential elements of a good horror. Pneumata has both, but it also has a few technical issues.

Although almost a mirror port with the original PlayStation 4 Hustle Kings, this current VR version does make the game more realistic so to speak but the fiddly controls unfortunately destroy that illusion. It’s a good try but once again, you cannot beat the real-life version of pool which is where I’m sticking for now!

A strategy game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but not terribly easy-going either.

Black Legend presents well in the cinematic trailer but fails to offer an enjoyable gaming experience that promotes repetitive play. Give it a miss.

If you’re looking for an hour or two of simple, easy to win tennis, grab Matchpoint Tennis Championships when it goes on sale. Otherwise, give this one a miss.

Girl Fight is as generic as any fighting game can be. The developers have attempted to cash in on the sexualised nature of the female fighters but unfortunately the game lacks any soul, especially with the more mainstream fighters currently available.

Ark Park has the ability to make us feel small in what could be a dangerous world of dinosaurs. The moments are there, you just have to find them.

Whilst an admirable attempt at offering a fresh take on what is already becoming a fairly staid genre, Toadman Interactive has unfortunately missed the mark when it comes to one of the most crucial elements of making these games work.

Lords of the Fallen is a game with great potential but in its current state, it can’t be recommended; at least not on PC. Moving seamlessly between the Umbral and Axiom worlds is a unique experience tainted by poor performance, bugs, and design choices.

Selknam Defense is a good distraction from a hard day

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is too filled with issues to be anything worthy of being recommended to those who aren't hardcore fans of the series, and the Switch port, unfortunately, still has a lot of the existing issues seen in other platforms.

If you’re a fan who’s been waiting to get the Etrian Odyssey games on a modern console, it’s worth grabbing one– the one with your favourite classes, or simply the third one for its added sea exploration. But unless you’re well-acquainted with the grinding and mapping, or have just forgotten how stagnant the gameplay can be, you’ll likely be disappointed by how sparse the excitement is.

Murdered Soul Suspect is a game that is hard to recommend in terms of gameplay and due to a lack of substantial content.

An acceptable but ultimately underbaked re-release which doesn't justify its own existence, or its hefty price tag.

This game has no business being on a console. A painful and abrasive gameplay experience that will disappoint most players.

Under Par: Golf Architect captures the charm of Sid Meier’s SimGolf with satisfying course design, but inconsistent simulation systems and technical issues hold it back. It’s a promising experience that gets a lot right, just not consistently enough yet.

In the end, Naughty Teddy had the character, premise and even the story, however the gameplay needed some more polishing.

Maybe if this budget title were offered for 5 dollars, more gamers might be interested in putting on their asskicking shoes. For now though, I can't offer much of a recommendation.

Natural Doctrine is a cruel, unpolished, but interesting spin on tactical RPGs.

With classic re-imagined 60's villains, great banter between Kirk and Spock plus a story that's actually interesting, the game is unfortunately let down by dated graphics and glitchy gaming mechanics.

In conclusion, Deal or No Deal is an interesting twist on the original TV show with the inclusion of a variety of mini-games that although are quite forced still shakes things up for the player as the game does not just become a number picking or gambling game.

For such a strange game, I was really hoping that this title would showcase the potential of the move technology but in actual fact, it's a rather ho-hum experience that we've already seen on the Wii.

Slightly under whelming in some respects, the game could have done well with more whit and sharpness in dialog from the voice talent for instance. Blame the script, not the talent. It is a fast simple game. With visuals that will delight for a time.

A game that might have had retro appeal, had it been a game released about 10 or 20 years ago. As a modern release it seems far too dated to compete with similar titles.

Deliver us Mars is a highly ambitious game but simply does not provide a payoff. I would only recommend playing it if you feel sentimental towards its predecessor, and even then I think currently only frustration will be waiting for you. You might say having read this that I should not have given the game the score I did, however I can see what they wanted to do with it, but also I can see what they failed to.

Without sounding cynical, ‘Narcos: Rise of the Cartels’ suffers from the same curse that looms over most video games that derive from TV shows and movies. Say what you will, but I’ve seen way too many games like Kung-Fu Panda, Spider-Man 3, and even Transformers all miss the mark. Unfortunately, ‘Narcos: Rise of the Cartels’ is no exception and while a few changes to the HUD and combat system would make this game fantastic, I can only review the game I have in front of me and not the game I know it could be. However, all is not lost. The game does offer a decent amount of replay value and the controls are simple enough that even a non-gamer can easily pick up this game and play it.

With so little actual new content on display here and a story that ends up being little more than a fart in the wind in terms of the Destiny mythology, there’s little to recommend here even for players desperate for reasons to jump back into the game.

Sometimes there are diamonds to be found out in the wastelands. Maybe with a different kind of combat system polish, Skyshine's BEDLAM could be one of those.

This title is a PS4 exclusive and meant to be a big deal, aka a AAA title for the team who made it. It is certainly not unfortunately and in my opinion cannot possibly command a full price point. Fans of the movie should be happy with some of the content but for the rest of us it is very much hit and miss. I do hope this does at least well enough that they can produce another, more well produced game as it did show promise but simply didn’t deliver.

A game with fascinating concepts, but has a hard time taking flight.

Bloomtown: A Different Story is a turn-based JRPG where bartering your soul with Satan is the least of your worries. The games’ quirky characters and unconventional story are a highlight and pull you in instantly. Sadly, the inquisitiveness and allure drop rather quickly due to an overabundance of mechanics and inconvenient design making Bloomtown wilt away.

Mists of Noyah is a survival rpg with some fun gameplay elements that should make sense, but bites off more than it can chew creating an inconsistent, intolerable, and confusing experience.

Battlefield 2042 is a huge disappointment for gamers and the Battlefield franchise. Had this been the product of an indie developer, then this might be a different story as it would be understandable how a game like this could be the product of an independent studio that doesn’t have enormous corporate backing. Instead, EA pumped more resources into creating a CGI film that acts as the only real source of storyline context than ensuring the game was going to live up to the enormous amount of hype they were trying to create. I hate saying such negative things in my reviews, but when a game developer can’t be bothered to even try and live up to it’s own legacy, then I have to call it as I see it and for that very reason, I don’t recommend this game. Not even the nostalgia or temptation of ‘Battlefield Portal’ is enough to save this game from itself.

I desperately tried to like this game and unfortunately the developers rested on their laurels a little too much without any real Q&A. Maybe with Game Party 4 they'll get it right... it did have decent Wii graphics though!

An ambitious open world crafting game that ends up feeling grindy and awkward.

As cool as a concept a Time Crisis-esque shooter in VR would be, Bravo Team unfortunately fails to live up to expectations.

The Splatters turns out to be an interesting past time experiment in goo enshrouded physics. Played in short bouts it can be fun, but players may find loss of interest over time.

Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness sadly provides a more frustrating experience than enjoyable. Despite making a good effort to adapt the series' best attributes, its gameplay, short story, and poor performance greatly hinder the overall experience.

Coast Guard is strongest when it is doing ship operations and after that, it tends to get bogged down in a quagmire of oddity.

Experience in great detail what driving a train feels like, but don't come here for anything more or you might be disappointed.

So is Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition worth your time? Well, no. Not really. It isn’t awful, but it isn’t exactly great either. If you’re mad for Warhammer 40,000 and the lore surrounding the franchise then perhaps you’ll get more out of Space Hulk than I did. However, if you’re looking to freshen up your first-person shooter collection then feel free to skip this one.

Sweet Surrender is a VR-only roguelike shooter where you climb a machine-infested megatower using fast, snappy gunplay and randomized levels. The gameplay is fun and accessible, but shallow difficulty, repetitive rooms, and bland presentation keep it from reaching its full potential. It’s a solid but modest experience and engaging in short bursts, yet ultimately a middle-of-the-road climb.

The truth is that Rocket Arena is in a lot of trouble, because it doesn’t offer enough to warrant the price tag. The more concerning thing is that if it does indeed go free-to-play, it isn’t unique enough to lure people away from the plethora of other service games that are more established, more varied, and ultimately more fun. Rocket Arena may be worth a look for free, but otherwise, I’d suggest you stick to the games you’re excited about.

I really don’t think I’m the market for this game, there are no doubt some people out there that can get hours of entertainment out of knocking items on a dining table over time after time… I’m not one of them. If you like slapstick humour and don’t mind frustrating controls then this may be up your alley. For me, this is a hard pass!

Black Ops 7 is a massive misstep for Call of Duty, that is unfortunately very difficult to recommend to anyone.

The Shore: Enhanced Edition delivers a visually striking and atmospheric take on Lovecraftian horror, supported by strong music design and an intriguing premise. Its early focus on exploration and mystery builds a solid foundation, but a shift toward action and simplified mechanics weakens the overall experience. While it’s easy to appreciate the ambition and artistry behind it, the uneven storytelling and gameplay make it more of a curiosity than a must-play.
