Immortals Fenyx Rising doesn't do anything you haven't seen before, and unless you're married to this particular style of game, it's hard to recommend.

With plenty of characters to try out, this game packs plenty of punch.

Even though the platforming doesn’t feel quite right and the puzzles are a little too simple, Pikuniku’s vibrant, whimsical aesthetic gives the game a charming sense of playfulness that almost completely mitigates these issues. When you’re running around with these colourful characters, watering flowers as a jaunty tune plays in the background, you don’t care that the jumping feels a little floaty or that the solution to the next puzzle is so obviously signposted. Pikuniku is the perfect remedy for a stressful day – check it out if you’re looking for something simple, colourful and genuinely funny.

What Oceanhorn offers is basically a discount Zelda. The game borrows most of its gameplay from Zelda, but one should be aware that they get what they pay for. It’s not well-defined or polished like a Zelda game. Instead, you can think of it as a cheaper alternative if the Nintendo Switch’s premium price tag has left you a little out-of-pocket for Breath of the Wild. Do I recommend? If you already like the genre, you can probably get a few good hours out of the game. If you’re new to the genre, Oceanhorn won’t do you any favours.

Your mileage will vary with The Divine Force depending on your expectations. Those looking for another AAA JRPG experience may be left confounded. Character models look too lifeless, the lip syncing is laughable and the world almost feels like it needed a few more months of work to feel alive. Existing fans of Star Ocean are going to be very pleasantly surprised at the robust combat system, the engaging characters and the well told story. It is a like a very good straight to DVD movie, there’s a lot to like but you can see where it lags behind the blockbusters. It is a step in the right direction for the Star Ocean franchise and definitely worth checking out for fans of the genre.

Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise is a decent way to workout indoors, but won't do much to improve your boxing skills.

Compared to others of the adventure genre, Cognition Episode 2 is pretty average. It serves as a solid continuation of the Cognition story, but if anything it offers just a little less than the first installment.

With a middling narrative and uninspired copy and pasting of missions, it’s hard to argue that this isn’t just another stop-gap affair for Bungie while they put all of their efforts into the upcoming major DLC release in September.

I wanted to get behind Faith and the story, but it seems that the game world oppression of the big corp that runs the city has permanently leaked into the personalities of the characters.

Overall, for those wanting to scratch that point and click itch, you probably already have this game, for everyone else, The Next Big Thing features interesting characters and an interesting story and may be a good excuse to have a break from some twitch game play and simply enjoy the story of the game and flex that brain muscle.

The Little Ones is light on actual children but heavy on despair. An emotional insight into the impacts of war on civilians, but not a substantial expansion on the original release.

Sir Lovelot is a refreshingly simplistic platformer that focuses on delivering a tight gameplay experience and not much else. There’s no story to bog things down, no abilities to upgrade or stats to improve – there’s just a neat visual aaesthetic and some exceptionally smooth running and jumping, which feels great and is satisfying to pull off. Fans of ultra-hard platformers may find Sir Lovelot to be a little on the easy side, but for the rest of us, the game does a nice job of offering a challenging experience without being too punishing.

It tells an interesting, emotionally arresting story from the unique perspective of a protagonist that is rarely seen in video games. Unfortunately, the gameplay isn’t quite as impressive as the narrative or the setting and instead feels as laborious as the chores you’re instructing Talma to perform. Yet despite the boring gameplay, the gripping story and fantastic visuals were enough to keep me wholly interested in the three-hour ordeal, and for that I can easily recommend The Stillness of the Wind to anyone looking for a unique, plodding gameplay experience.

The Lightbringer misses many opportunities. Despite having great core gameplay, it fails to immerse the player in its lore and aura due to its rough, and at times, incomplete edges. If players are willing to look past these shortcomings, the gameplay will keep fans of 2.5D platformers satisfied. That is, if they don’t skip a level every time they are met with the slightest of challenges.

It’s fun at the time, yet ultimately forgettable and the links to the Star Fox universe are tentative at best.

The Zebra-Man! defies summary, and to an extent, review. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what in the world is going on with this game.

Ultimate Band can still be fun. It’s not horrific to play, and the multiplayer mode can be a laugh. Yet for the cost of the game and four Wiimotes with nun chucks, one could just purchase the full band version of Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

Arc Runner gets a lot of things right. A surprisingly extensive collection of weapons that can be unlocked for future use, all of which spawn with a variety of abilities and different rarities. The main skills feel great and you get a new mod after every map section; you’ll lose those mods after death but they can stack and offer great bonuses. The multiplayer seems to work well but is almost a requirement with how difficult this game can become running solo. If you like sci-fi shoot ‘em ups and need to scratch the gear grind itch, this game with sooth that urge, you can even bring a friend or two. I enjoyed the throwback, arcade feel so I am definitely going to keep playing Arc Runner……I need to unlock that Hacker class.

Void Sails started its journey strong, but snail-slow combat and movement took the wind out my sails. An impressive effort by a small develop team, that I wish had the chance to squeeze more juice from the lemon and deliver on what ultimately felt like grand ambition that was unable to be realised.

If you have that itch for some off the wall out of this world speed and a little mayhem on the side. Quantum rush Champions is the ticket to a fast jump in race game experience.

SkateBIRD is ultimately, incredibly charming, but incredibly flawed. It’s fun, when it doesn’t punish you for its own shortcomings, and the blurry backdrops are straight bargain bin-PS1 fodder, but I still can’t help but get drawn back into the odd, goofy world of these skating, winged weirdos.

A routine racket of fun first-person shooter and stealth gameplay and creative heists mired by always online issues and lack of content.

Biomutant has a good base and plenty of things going for it, but I think that is also its weakness. It tries to be everything and in the end it becomes a mess of half implemented features and not fully fleshed out ideas. Whilst there is nothing massively wrong with the game, you can have an enjoyable experience. However I still feel disappointed that the game did not hit that next stage which takes it from an OK game to a great game. Maybe a sequel with more focused ideas could benefit this series.

Unsealed: The Mare is a tense, task-driven horror experience that thrives on constant pressure and smart resource management. Its simple structure is elevated by strong sound design, effective lighting, and mechanics that keep each run feeling unpredictable. While it can feel repetitive and a bit short, it delivers a consistently engaging and genuinely unsettling experience.

Ultimately the game is one I think best used as a time filler or a some time indulgence. You don’t need to memorise story elements or spend a long time remembering what the key combinations are… just drive and see how many times you can make your car spin in… well pretty much any and all directions. Not a lot of depth but I don’t think it ever really tried to be more than what it is… just a bit of silly fun. I’d probably wait for a sale but it’s not a bad price for something that can sit on your hard drive and provide a bit of fun when you’ve got nothing else to do.

Populous fans may want to find another platform to relive their memories.

The Day I Became a Bird is a short, cozy narrative adventure that tells a simple but heartfelt story about childhood feelings and imagination. You move through small, relaxed interactions and light puzzles that focus more on atmosphere than challenge. While it doesn’t offer much depth or replay value, its charm, visuals, and tone leave a gentle, lasting impression.

Could be one of PSVR2s best shooters, but is held back by some baffling design decisions.

Etherborn is at the moment a game at contrast with itself. It has some issues with cameras and in a puzzle game that really cannot be the case. On the other hand it is majestic in it’s own way and challenging enough that there is a real sense of achievement when playing it. I want it to be better than it is, but like what it is. A conundrum.

The first DLC for Powerwash Simulator 2 is an ambitious, nice homage to Adventure Time more flash than substance.

The long awaited reunion of Max and Chloe brings some of the series best scenes, but they forgot to build a compelling game around them.

Vampyr is worth digging up out of its crypt and giving it a go. It will satisfy the fans of all things Vampire.

Scene-It? is a fun party game that will sit on the shelf gathering dust until the next social gathering.

Winter Stars is another one of those games that looks great but unfortunately its gameplay is mediocre. The title does feel a little dated because of the unresponsive controls and overall, the gameplay was more frustrating than rewarding for us.

Son of Nor has some promise, delivers a passable game… but can be so much better.

Asfalia: The Cranky Volcano is a charming if limited point-and-click adventure that feels tailor-made for children around seven and up. It’s a breezy, colorful game with an important message, but one that ends before it fully finds its footing. Kids will likely love the zany characters and sticker-collecting, while parents will appreciate its gentle life lesson. It’s not the deepest or most polished adventure game out there, but it is a delightful one that shows plenty of promise for future installments.

Despite all my grumblings about Rhythm Castle's gameplay loop, after a while, I found myself thoroughly invested in seeing it through to the end. Maybe it was Stockholm Syndrome, or maybe I was simply enamored by Rhythm Castle's rich universe, but even at its most baffling, I still wanted to play on.

Antigraviator is a Wipeout clone that unfortunately falls short in most areas.

Unfortunately it's one of those mediocre movie games with standard graphics and gameplay.

In the end, if you need your fix before Sims Supernatural, than Sims Diesel might keep you busy until then. Just be warned though that the catfights might start between your trendy Sims. Fun but nothing special!

Toy Soldiers HD is a tough one to recommend. The game hasn’t really changed for better or worse, making it both fun to revisit while being a bit ugly to look at. Most of the time the game is fun enough to ignore any of the graphical shortcomings or the frame rate issues, but sometimes the difficulty spikes can be a bit discouraging. Overall, this is a barebones HD remake that could’ve used some more fine tuning especially in the graphics department. Here’s to hoping this unique franchise can be revitalized in the future but, as for Toy Soldiers HD, this battlefield has seen better days.

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon has good lessons to learn, but chief among them might be persistence: dungeon crawling is tiresome.

Summary: Project Cars 3 ditches its former charm in favour of pick up and play. As a result, the game struggles to find its own identity amongst a sea of better contenders.

For fight fans looking for a good scrap Bleach Rebirth of Souls, is a fairly solid fighter with some clever mechanics that don’t quite hit the mark due to a lack of game modes, some obnoxious difficulty spikes in the main campaign, and a block button that lets you get hit far too easily. As such, I can only recommend Bleach Rebirth of Souls to die hard desperate to take a more hands on trip to the Soul Society.

I was worried that this final episode was going to let down the whole season (based on gameplay from previous episodes). Instead it was able to redeem itself and provide us with what was lacking before – engagement. It also also paved the way for the next season where hopefully we will see more of Clementine’s story (which will make a lot of Clementine fans happy).

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is a fast paced roguelite shooter set in a dark western version of the afterlife where you battle through arena style encounters and grow stronger with each run. Its moody atmosphere helps carry an experience built around tight combat loops and steady progression in a central hub. While it delivers solid action and a clear sense of style, limited variety and repetition in more ways than one keep it from feeling truly exceptional.

Bye Sweet Carole is a daring but not perfect game. It tries to replicate the tones and aesthetics of classic animated films but can’t reach to the high standard made by them neither technically nor narratively.

With a little more time in the developing stage Medal of Honor: Warfighter could had been something that EA had hoped for, but with the fast turnaround times they expect, the game just failed for the most part. While it's not Thor: God of Thunder (the worst game I have ever played) it just doesn't live up to other games in the same genre.

I wanted to enjoy Glyph more than I did. The framework is there: fluid gameplay, beautiful art style, and with over one hundred levels, the game will keep a determined gamer entertained for many hours. But the developers set an unreasonably high bar for progression; one that required me to put the game down multiple times out of exasperation. Newer gamers: beware, but for seasoned players looking for a real challenge, Glyph could be your next rage-inducing favorite.

Yes, I miss the swashbuckling and sword-clashing action found in the likes of Black Flag more than I care to admit – but honestly, Skull & Bones’ seafaring sections can be pretty special. There’s a beautiful simplicity to it all – sailing around the seas, watching the stars twinkle above as the sea gently rocks my boat, all while I prepare to turn the night sky red with the burning remains of an unsuspecting merchant fleet. Skull & Bones is far from the perfect pirate adventure, but this is a tale of two halves; at its best, it’s a fantastic sea-sim, but at its worst? I was almost pushed to mutiny.

Bear With Me: The Lost Robots is only a short point and click game, with a play time of around 2-3 hours. The lack of introduction and odd character dynamics makes the start a shock to the system, but spend a few minutes in this world and you will want to play it through to its completion. The film-noir style, demonstrated through visual, audio and storytelling methods allows the game to win you over with its humor, drama, and gritty crime tale.

Would I recommend it? Well yes and no. It is fun (I would hate to hunt in real life unless I was expressly trying to find food) but it really doesn’t play like a simulator in the full sense of the word and I suspect that is where this draws it’s most criticism. Having said that… with so many hunting games on the market it must be hard to find a name that stands out and that would draw the players in, but in our modern gaming world with expectations that can run so high… if you call your game a simulator and you don’t deliver something in which the player practically feels frostbite developing as they hunt in the chilly alps… they just won’t be happy. For me I would say if you enjoy hunting games it can be a bit of casual fun… but certainly not at full price… a deep discount is required or perhaps give it a…. miss (puts on sunglasses, adopts a smug look and walks off).

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory does have its issues but if you can move pass the graphics and sometimes dated gameplay, there is actually some gaming gold to be found. In terms of completion, we completed this title is just over 40 hours which is huge and definitely gives you value for money, especially if you like Japanese RPG.

Warhammer is a game that will appeal to fans of what has already gone before. I'm not sure that there is enough meat in the title to convert newcomers and I would highly recommend a rent first. For those who have loved this series in the past then I can say gladly to pick it up and watch the characters you've known and loved kick some serious butt.

In the end, Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch missed that first jump and hopefully the developers will release future patches to resolve the control mechanics. As a result, it was a difficult grind for my daughter and I that revolved around the inconsistencies with controls and graphics which hampered our overall enjoyment.

In conclusion, Army Men: Soldier’s of Misfortune is a considerably cheaper game than the current “blockbuster” releases on the Wii and this is definitely a kid friendly title without the gore or violence.

Sir Lancelot and Morgana Le Fey teaming up with Mary Kelly to try and solve the Jack the Ripper murders and find Merlin in this click adventure. For anyone who loves history or to solve mysteries – give it a go!

All in all, Cris Tales is unfortunately an unnecessarily conflicting game. It’s incredibly refined features such as the visuals and character depth heavily clash with its subpar gameplay. However, if you’re a hard core retro JRPG fan then you may enjoy the game.

The audio department works okay but at the end of the day, Special Forces Team X feels like a budget game gone bad. Maybe some more testing would have created a more playable game.

The Sims 4: Tiny Living is appropriately a tiny addition to the game. This review is appropriately tiny as well. There’s definitely more than appears on the surface with this Stuff Pack. But it’s altogether unnecessary if you just want to have a small house in The Sims 4. The new items and clothes are appealing and it was fun to spend a few hours playing a little differently than I usually do, but is it ultimately worth the $15 price? I can’t in good faith say that it is.

Rogue Flight is a promising arcade space shooter that doesn't operate very effectively. It's stale attempt at a story, lack of variety, and other poor elements overshadow the intense and one of a kind gameplay ideas. It feels like all the parts are here, but an extra push could generate something special.

Overall, this is a fairly disappointing title where a lot more could be done with the excellent licensing opportunities.

The real star of this one is the director with his running commentary, and the film just supports his wit. If you’re looking to kill a good handful of hours with a solid smile on your face, check this game out!

For what it’s worth there is enjoyment to be found here but it only lasts for a few hours and then you’re set for a tedious grind if you hope to unlock that cool facemask or beret; the gameplay loop just isn’t compelling enough and there isn’t anywhere enough content here to retain a fanbase with any real kind of longevity.

If you are a die hard fan of these particular types of RPG, and you simply have no other option, then The Outer Worlds on Switch MAY be worth enduring. It’s that same snarky, quirky, exciting space adventure that won the hearts of players across the globe, and behind the issues that completely broke the game for me there is that fantastic story to be experienced. However, if you have any other possible way to play this game, I’d choose that route over the Switch.

Having said that, if tower defense games are your cup of tea then this is a great addition as the ability to be on the ground with your troops really does add a sense of personal involvement that is lacking in all the more traditional top down place and sit back style games.

Overally it’s a decent effort. It’s not overly expensive so it won’t break the bank and it’s a nice walk down memory lane for those of us who grew up on Adventure games (but with mouse clicking instead of Parser commands.

The tale of a young country boy touched by destiny going on to save the world is not unfamiliar; Lost Sphear is an homage, dressed almost entirely in the well-worn threads of its forebears. Many of the tropes and conventions of the classic Japanese roleplaying game are on full display here, almost as gleamingly obvious as the game’s omnipresent moon; nary a moment passes, from beginning to end, without a sense of the uncanny. When these influences work, Lost Sphear builds on a legacy carved from genre giants; it feels warm and familiar, predictable in a comforting way. But the haphazard stitching together of its predecessors is its own downfall; when the patchwork unravels, Lost Sphear reveals its starving soul.

I suppose Sniper Elite V2 Remastered would be a decent game if it didn’t feature successors so much better than it. I’m surprised Rebellion minimally invested in anything but window dressing for the re-release, as they had a lot to work with. Perhaps its biggest crime is the absurdly high price point on the Switch, one 3x that of Steam (at time of review).

For combat strategy fans who revel in difficulty and challenge, this game is a fantastic opportunity to perfect your tactics. The missions are long, complicated and will require multiple attempts to earn those all important medals and sense of accomplishment. For those short of patience or who don’t like repeating missions, the basic graphics, poor storyline, and limited music will keep you away.

In summary this is a game that fans of the genre will love and those new to it will most likely give up on. You can tell there has been a ton of work gone in to tweaking this game, making it clearly the best of the series to date, but the onerous nature of the storyline along with the static nature of the interaction during dialogue will put a lot of people off. Into the series? You will love this game. Hopefully I’ve helped with the pros and cons. Have fun!

Despite its limited mechanics and traditional gameplay, Hue is a challenging 2D puzzle platformer with some impressive ideas. The surprising level of creativity on display in the puzzle design and the game’s interesting visuals make it an enjoyable four to five hour experience, but don’t expect any surprises.

Uninspiring environments and generic gameplay mean that only hardcore fans of the SAO series will get the most out of Bandai Namco's latest effort.

White Night is a gorgeous and intriguing game that deserves to be played for its engrossing story and beautiful art style.

Romancing SaGa Minstrel’s Song Remastered International, is a long title for a game that felt incredibly long to review. Whilst it wasn't for me, I suspect fans of previous SaGa releases will appreciate the PS5 Remaster.

The ambitious mission to recreate the Isle Of Man is successful, but lacks in delivering content to keep you coming back.

In end, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D is an interesting game for kids but unfortunately once you have played the game, there's very little replay value. It's also a shame that the multiplayer aspect is quite limited but if you have a boy in your family who loves dinosaurs, I'm sure they'll get their fair share of play from Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D.

If you’re spoilt by modern-day graphics and the feature-full world of 21st-century gaming, Shadow Warrior 3 probably isn’t for you. It’s a simple game, not afraid to rely solely on its strong shooting mechanics, but it’s one that any FPS fan should add to their collection if they want to switch off and tear up some bad guys. Short, silly and gory, Shadow Warrior 3 is a fine example of great gaming dialled back.

In the end, EA did try to do good with this game but for me, there were too many inconsistencies of the interface to the graphical problems. To compound the problem, The Sims 3 was actually far sturdier and dare I say, more fun on the DS as it was a strong game overall, not so on the 3DS version.

There is plenty of levels that will take hours to get through, it is ultimately a repetitive experience, it can also be very addictive. There is a lot to do here, it is a premium price point for what is a simple game with simple and addictive game play. If you are looking for an enjoyable pick up and play title for the Vita this may be the one for you, simple to play with a steady difficulty curve.

My Hero One's Justice leaves room for improvement, but gives us a decent foundation to expand the world of My Hero Academia for future games.

Dragonkin makes a mild attempt to walk among giants. With moments of great potential and elements of great design but poor implementation and lacklustre performances, this game only manages to be 'okay'

Zombitsu is a fairly standard mobile release, but far from being the worst. It’s too simple for adult gamers such as myself, but it’s a decently casual

In conclusion, Ubisoft's MotionSports It may not be accurate as a Kinect Sports but it's a valiant attempt at the developers to create something unique.

For all the faults that I’ve outlined above, the gameplay itself is adequate, unrefined, and needing polish, but adequate, nonetheless. Where it fell down most for me was in the story. The Stargate universe is full of potential, an almost limitless number of worlds all full of storytelling possibilities, so for that potential to not be realised, is disappointing.

If you are an avid Pokémon fan, what you get with Black & White Version 2 is a true Pokémon experience.

DriveClub is not an awful game but feel free to skip this one as you’re not missing much.

At the end of the day, Garou Mark of Wolves is an interesting walk down memory lane, however it fails to successfully deliver a truly entertaining experience due to the graphics and limited gameplay.

Bloodstone: 007 will draw more of the James Bond fans. Gamers looking for something different may not be as impressed, though those that give the game a chance may well find a game sprinkled with a few gaming relished moments, far and between as they are.

At the end of the day, Ghostbusters for PSP isn't a bad game but seems like a bit more work would have helped push this over the thresh hold.

If you take this game as a bit of tongue in cheek it is kind of fun… the little segments when the food is being judged really do remind me of the Iron Chef and the over the top theatrics (though I don’t ever remember seeing him eat food into the shape of breasts).

Reynatis is made up of a lot of fun ideas that are unfortunately very hit and miss in execution, running questionably poorly on its hardware target. There's fun to be had with the game, but not for this price tag, nor on the Switch.

Valley of the Yeti is certainly worth playing for its interesting new ideas and that classic Far Cry feel, but its overly cold approach to its story.
