An excellent addition to an already fantastic RPG. Void Shadows introduces a brilliant new character to your party, who is a joy to play as, while unraveling a galaxy-spanning conspiracy. Once again, the story is masterfully written and seamlessly woven into the base game. My only wish is for more varied environments and fewer cosmetic bugs.- Games.cz

A fantastic reimagining of the legendary horror classic. Silent Hill 2 looks otherworldly, sounds hellish, and maintains its thick atmosphere, even with a stronger emphasis on action. Bloober Team has proven with this remake that they truly understand the legacy and message of the original. While it's a somewhat different experience than it was twenty years ago, it remains deeply faithful to its source material.- Games.cz

The Plucky Squire is an extremely playful platformer that bombards you with one creative idea after another. Surprise, surprise… it works! It's the creativity in puzzles and environmental interactions that makes this adventure in a children's book truly special. Never mind the bland combat or the stretched-out final third. The Plucky Squire is a whimsical tale that warms the heart.- Games.cz

Ara delves deeply into a single mechanic. Warfare, diplomacy, religion, and research are stripped down to the bare essentials, leaving the majority of your time focused on balancing the production of a massive array of materials and their interconnected, complex production chains. While this is initially engaging, it quickly becomes tedious in the later stages, where balancing production feels more like managing a budget before an accounting deadline.- Games.cz

The long-awaited sequel to the beloved Test Drive Unlimited feels like it still hasn’t arrived. What Kylotonn has done with the franchise can't even be considered a bad attempt. Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown may have a fun driving model, but that’s where the short list of positives ends. It's a poor game lacking content, optimization, and visuals that would at least match last-gen standards.- Games.cz

At its core, Concord is a solid hero shooter with fun gameplay but minimal new mechanics, failing to stand out significantly from the competition. Its biggest ace up the sleeve is the detailed graphics and world-building delivered through an in-game encyclopedia and weekly cinematic drops, but that's not enough for a game locked behind a paywall, unlike most of the genre.- Games.cz

A solid space strategy that borrows heavily from major 4X turn-based games, Sins of a Solar Empire II makes it clear that its core focus is on action and conquest, with diplomacy and trading taking a backseat. Anger Foot can be unnecessarily frustrating at times, occasionally too vulgar or awkward, yet it remains incredibly fun and adrenaline-packed in most moments. The game excels with its high-octane action, an excellent soundtrack, and cleverly designed levels that make revisiting them to complete challenges and unlock new shoes a joy. SteamWorld Heist II is a sequel done right. It retains the best aspects of its predecessor—turn-based combat with precise aiming and trick shots—transports it to an appealing pirate setting, wraps it in a meaningful storyline, and adds simple world exploration with an excellent class-mixing system that could use just a bit more depth. At its core, The First Descendant is a solid looter shooter, but that's about it. The limited number of activities, which are quite similar, a botched storyline, awkward dialogues, and excessive grind weigh it down. The characters, while fun to play, are generic. Despite these issues, the game can still be entertaining, and many of the problems mentioned could be resolved quickly. However, the predatory monetization strategy chosen by Nexon won't disappear. Even so, it can be ignored, allowing you to enjoy the game if you can look past all the surrounding clutter and focus on the simple thrill of holding down the trigger.- Games.cz

The outcome falls in line with this mixed anticipation—enjoyable at times, particularly when engaging in sailing, battles, and exploring the world. Excellent logic-based platformer that can entertain both young and old. Precise design goes hand in hand with a likable presentation and refined gameplay that caters to modern trends while not forgetting the old ways. Once again, Nintendo hits the bullseye.- Games.cz

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a decent game, but it doesn't stand out in any particular way, and may fall victim to the curse of titles from the beginning of the year. The potential of the theme could have been better explored, and once again, the action in Don't Nod's own fashion seems unnecessary and rushed.- Games.cz

House Builder had great potential but ultimately didn't step out of the shadow of House Flipper. Building houses is neither elaborate nor satisfying, skill development feels hastily done, and it's not pleasant to listen to or watch. It only captivates with its environment and diversity in buildings and construction processes. If you're looking for occasional relaxation, it might work, but it won't become your next game for all the following evenings.- Games.cz

If you're not in the mood for action, strategy, survival, or sports, and you want to leisurely uncover mysteries and challenge your brain in an old-school adventure, which lets you shortly get that satisfaction of completing another game, CLeM will fulfill that to the letter.- Games.cz

Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is a presentable representative of the almost forgotten hidden object genre. It captivates with its graphics and musical accompaniment, hidden mini-stories, but its greatest strength lies in the editor and the promise of an endless array of levels from the community. Overall, it is a pleasant and relaxing pastime.- Games.cz

Persona 3 Reload is an excellent remake of the cult JRPG that rewards the patient with compelling stories, engaging gameplay, and a detailed high school simulator. Despite pacing issues, Persona 3 Reload retains its stylish flair and serves as an excellent entry point for those who have been avoiding the series. Playing it is worthwhile, especially for its fantastic soundtrack.- Games.cz

Beneath the entertaining action and well-performed characters lies an average looter shooter in which you repeat about five activities endlessly. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could have worked as a short action spin-off of the Arkham series. However, as a game you'd return to regularly, it completely falls short.- Games.cz

Stargate: Timekeepers is a solid clone of Commandos, falling just short of standing among the genre's top tier. There's also a missed potential in the story, which despite the effort feels more like mediocre glue holding missions together. However, there's still hope that the developers will improve in the second half of the story, which is yet to be released. It's simply a fun addition to its genre, though it might be easily forgotten afterward.- Games.cz

A successful old-school action game that tests your reflexes and internal compass. Graven pays homage to inventive shooters from the 90s and delights every fan of the genre. Moreover, it captivates with a well-crafted atmosphere and soundtrack. It's just a shame that the action component is not better tuned and less frustrating.- Games.cz

Hellishly fun multiplayer action, standing on a well-executed class system and the destruction of everything around. It excels in both aspects. Whether you're running on walls to send enemies back to respawn with an automatic shotgun or breaking through the floor to send a guarded safe to another floor, these are some of the best gaming moments you can experience with friends. It's just a shame that The Finals, despite varied maps and special events during the game, lacks greater diversity in game modes and maps.- Games.cz

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth lives up to the promised grandeur in its name. It has more cities, more battles, more characters, more options, more of everything. It just sometimes struggles to decide what exactly it wants to hook you with and gets a bit lost in its own nostalgia. In the end, though, it's impossible not to have fun with it.- Games.cz

Fantastic gameplay, plenty of game modes, and a substantial roster of playable characters are the main strengths of Tekken 8. The evolution is more on the cautious side, and the story mode could use some refinement. However, in the competition with last year's giants, Bandai Namco has nothing to be ashamed of.- Games.cz

War Hospital is, in a "good" sense, a rather unpleasant experience. It's a solidly designed tycoon game that, instead of focusing on construction, centers around the management of human and material resources. However, you don't have enough of either, time is pressing, patients are bleeding in front of the hospital, doctors are collapsing in the operating room, and you face a series of morally extremely uncomfortable decisions. It's decent, but is it still fun?- Games.cz

The legendary RPG remains timeless on the Switch and plays excellently. Gothic II Complete Classic has a dense atmosphere, a great story, and the console controls suit it perfectly. Even with a few bugs and technical issues, there are noticeably fewer compared to its predecessor.- Games.cz

Blood West is quite possibly the best game in the weird west genre. It smoothly combines ruthlessly challenging gameplay, enjoyable exploration, and RPG elements that can support individual player styles. The story paints a pleasant picture of the strange Wild West world full of monsters and curses. It's just a pity that character development and somewhat outdated mechanics occasionally disrupt the credibility of the entire experience.- Games.cz

Chessarama borrows time-tested systems from centuries ago, using them to craft refreshing, inventive, and visually appealing puzzles. These challenges compel chess enthusiasts to contemplate the game in a slightly different manner, while newcomers might find themselves drawn to a new hobby. Despite a relatively large number of bugs and occasional outdated visuals, Rogue Trader remains a fantastic and massive RPG that is a clear must-play for all fans of the 41st millennium. It shouldn't be missed by enthusiasts of grim narratives and intricate turn-based combat either. Rogue Trader is filled with epic moments, decisions that shape the fate of entire star systems, and brutal rawness that makes delving into the world of Warhammer and the God-Emperor worthwhile.- Games.cz

Against the Storm is one of the biggest surprises of the year. Not only did the developers successfully merge the genres of city-building strategy, roguelite, and survival into a cohesive whole, but they also created an incredibly addictive strategy game that is just complex and challenging enough, highly variable, and deep. Even after dozens of hours, it remains fresh, engaging, and impossible to put down.- Games.cz

Bud Spencer & Terence Hill – Slaps and Beans 2 is a much nicer, just adequately expanded sequel to the enjoyable beat 'em up, with a clearly defined target audience – two cooperating fans of Italian comedy films. They will have a lot of fun with the game (and a bit of healthy frustration). Solo players will also enjoy it, albeit to a lesser extent, while those unfamiliar with the theme may find much better examples within the genre.- Games.cz
