A brilliant fantasy turn-based strategy which borrows the best parts from those who came before. You’re going to manage cities in the vein of Civilization, fight battles reminiscent of Heroes of Might and Magic, but mainly you’re going to lead your people and shape them through magical evolution, resulting in a myriad combinations and playstyles. This is what a fun, addictive strategy game looks like.

The second installment of Coffee Talk is carried by its atmosphere and nostalgia. There aren’t many innovations, but they’re not needed when the fans get exactly what they want – more of the same, more of the great. The characters deal with ordinary issues and despite that, there’s depth to be found in every conversation. A soothing return to the familiar, cozy establishment.

A short journey to an unknown world, stunning in its audiovisual design. It tells a story full of emotion about a girl searching for a lost sister and about her animal companion, together alone in a world full of robots and danger. There are some missteps regarding the tempo of the game, but otherwise there’s nothing to criticize.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun offers an epic cleansing in the name of the God-Emperor. It offers a beautifully realized Warhammer universe, including its famous antagonists and weapons. It’s not perfect by any means, not even judging by the standards of the boomer shooter genre, but it’s a bloody good piece of fan service.

Ugly graphics, amateurish animations, awful controls, a confused level design and many, many bugs and errors, including some that are completely unacceptable. Gollum’s stealthy journey towards freedom cannot be redeemed, not even by a solid story that cleverly enriches Tolkien’s universe.

It’s bigger, richer, more story-driven, it’s simply better than Breath of the Wild. It would be a 10/10 game if it wasn’t for the technical issues caused by the aging Nintendo Switch. You simply must play the new Zelda anyway, though.

A cute little party game which, unfortunately, just doesn’t reach the same heights as many of its competitors. There’s not much content, the fun doesn’t last for long, and the number of players is severely restricted. This is certainly not a pastime for the whole evening but could entertain you in short stretches.

Burning Shores does a fine job in setting up the climax of Aloy’s adventure and the very destiny of humanity, but the DLC itself could use more content and more reasons to explore the ruined Los Angeles. The wait for a true sequel will be interminable.

A wonderful simulator of a mercenary band, with so much content it’s going to last you for a long time. The story of your party is told through many small vignettes rather than a coherent story, but you can shape your marauders however you want. The turn-based combat is fun, so are the complex RPG systems. Dozens of hours of fun are guaranteed here.

A massive sequel with a combat system that’s richer and more fun, with a great protagonist, and with a wonderful galaxy to explore. The story could be better, there are some issues of a technical nature, but it’s beautiful, enjoyable to play – and it lets you build a lightsaber of your dreams.

After this remake, Advance Wars doesn’t feel like a 20-year-old game at all. Nice graphics merge with the original systems – and those are pretty ageless. There are two massive campaigns, an editor, both local and online multiplayer variants and other details which make this an ideal package for all the strategists out there.

It really is admirable what a Ukrainian studio haunted by war managed to create in such a short span of time. But the compromises do show. It’s fun to solve puzzles based on Sherlock’s deduction, but the story feels disjointed, some scenes make no sense and there are several unfortunate design mistakes to boot.

Redfall doesn’t know what it wants to be, therefore it isn’t good at being singleplayer, cooperative, story-driven or action-based. And, most of all, it’s not fun, plus it comes out in terrible shape. I’d rather eat a whole garlic bulb than to play more Redfall.

Dead Island 2 manages to balance on the border of parody and on the edge between opulent beauty and brutal nastiness. And on top of that, he jovially juggles severed limbs. It probably won't rank among the most amazing titles this year, but it certainly doesn't belong at the bottom of the list in the genre of zombie games that don't take themselves seriously.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! manages to combine the mechanical familiarity of the Yakuza series with a unique historical setting. The combat is fun, the story is thrilling, the content is rich enough to last dozens of hours. Scars Above wants to do a lot of things at once and takes its inspiration from many successful gems of the past. A brilliant successor to a great turn-based RPG. The chaotic world of Mario and Rabbids is more open, you can freely move and chain combos during combat, the heroes are much more focused on specific tactics. Sparks of Hope has great tempo and is ideal for short sessions and long evenings both.

It’s a beautiful game but gameplay-wise, it sometimes struggles. The same applies to the story and especially the characters. Still, the game has its charms and is overall a solid addition to the series.

The final chapters of the renowned series have never looked better. There are some mistakes, but the opulent movie-like spectacle will pull you in as assuredly now as in the past. It’s just a shame that PC users must take their first steps in the franchise at the very end of the story.

Do you like construction games? Then you should definitely play this one, even if it contains silly mistakes and some systems aren’t well implemented. This is the best game of the franchise and a lot of fun.

It’s really difficult to even grade this game. Should it be called “Overwatch 2” at all? And how is it going to grow? Right now, it brings next to nothing to veterans but still remains a very good team shooter.

An average city action that can't be broken even by competent fights and an interesting story with a unique villain. Gotham Knights is a time killer with boring activities in a pathetically dead city, terrible controls, wasted potential and a lackluster graphical presentation. The game feels like the work of tie-breakers who have to look up the word "fun" in the dictionary.

A few nice improvements cannot hide the fact that FIFA needs proper innovations really badly. The Ultimate Team works well, in no small part thanks to the new Chemistry system, but the Career mode is literally dead and buried. I’ll be expecting much more from the future EA Sports FC.

We had pretty low expectations and we got what we thought we would. This is a game of clashing ideas - and many of them aren’t even executed well enough. It’s got tempo, at least, and can be fun in small doses.
