Directive 8020 may not be the revolution some were hoping for, but it still stands out as an interesting evolution of The Dark Pictures formula. With this new title, Supermassive Games tries new things and experiments, offering us a narratively gripping adventure, though its gameplay unfortunately suffers from an approach that’s far too formulaic. It’s still a solid popcorn game, however, and will certainly appeal to fans of the genre and those who enjoy slightly goofy horror experiences.- Gameblog.fr

Replaced is an enjoyable game. While it feels much more conventional than we originally expected, especially after its numerous delays, it’s nonetheless a solid effort from Sad Cat Studios. Admittedly, it won’t leave a lasting impression for its gameplay or its storyline, but it will likely have no trouble winning over fans of 2.5D action-adventure games who are also fans of cyberpunk settings. Because in the end, that’s what we’ll remember the most about Replaced: its top-notch retro-futuristic design.- Gameblog.fr

Outbound is a game with a sincere execution, but one that doesn't fully follow through on its ideas. By playing it safe to avoid gameplay that might be too demanding for players, it misses out on a potential that could have made it a true must-have in the cozy gaming scene. Still, it remains a contemplative pleasure for lovers of virtual exploration… one you’ll play through from start to finish before tucking it away in the back of your collection, unsure if you’ll ever pull it out again to relive the same journey.- Gameblog.fr

Iridium Studios makes a striking comeback with People of Note. While the game isn’t quite perfect and could do with a little more spice in its gameplay, it shows real boldness and completely captivates with an art style that fully embraces its concept. The combat system could have used even more polish to make it more engaging. On the other hand, we’re treated to a heartfelt adventure—somewhat clichéd, but well worth checking out.- Gameblog.fr

Invincible VS is the refreshing fighting game we have been waiting for, both in terms of its art direction and its gameplay, inevitably frustrating for the one taking the hits, but hugely satisfying and enjoyable for the one dishing them out. The attack-defense balance is fairly well-tuned, with a slight lean toward aggressive play nonetheless, and the faithfulness to the source material is spot-on, with original content thrown in as a bonus. That content will need to be judged over time, and one can't help feeling that it would have been more compelling to tell stories from within the Invincible universe, letting some players relive the series' defining moments, rather than delivering a brand-new, standalone narrative.- Gameblog.fr

It’s hard to hide our disappointment with Aphelion, which stands as the very definition of an average game. While there’s nothing fundamentally bad or failed about Don’t Nod’s title, there’s still plenty of room for improvement on many levels, which inevitably leaves us with a bitter aftertaste once the adventure is over. We’re left with the feeling that we’ve missed out on what could have been a great adventure, one whose good ideas, though present, weren’t properly developed by the studio.- Gameblog.fr

As expected, SAROS stands out as a worthy spiritual successor to Returnal, and even more so. Far from resting on its laurels, Housemarque has successfully built upon the solid foundation of its previous title to deliver an epic adventure, enhanced by new features that make it accessible to a wider audience. While more accessible, SAROS remains a challenging yet exhilarating experience that delivers incredible thrills. This makes it a new must-have in the PS5 catalog, which once again boasts one of its best exclusives thanks to the Finnish studio.- Gameblog.fr

Tomodachi Life: A Dream Life is sure to be one of this spring’s must-have releases. By reviving this unique franchise on the Nintendo Switch, Big N reminds us just how powerful and unmatched the Mii characters’ comedic appeal is. Moreover, Nintendo offers us a true respite of lighthearted fun that, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons in its day, allows us to escape a particularly anxiety-inducing reality. While the game’s distinct identity means it won’t appeal to everyone, it will be the perfect choice for anyone looking to treat themselves to short, stress-free gaming sessions full of surprises.- Gameblog.fr

Besides its delightful art style, brilliantly blending inspirations from Cuphead, early Mickey Mouse cartoons, and 1930s film noir, Mouse PI For Hire is from a gameplay standpoint a classic boomer shooter, but very effective and enjoyable to play. Even if its "detective" aspect is largely inconsequential, we generally enjoyed following this frenetic adventure as Troy Baker... Jack Pepper, despite a somewhat tedious final section that leaves a slightly underripe aftertaste for an overall appetizing cheese. Perhaps the upcoming DLC will be the final clue to wrap up the investigation in style?- Gameblog.fr

After years of anticipation and numerous previews, we can finally confirm it: Pragmata is indeed the surprise we’ve been waiting for. With refreshing gameplay and a pair of highly endearing protagonists, Capcom’s new franchise plunges us into the heart of a fabulous world that we enjoy roaming from start to finish, despite a few minor flaws here and there. And while these flaws may prevent the game from having as significant impact as we originally hoped for, it remains a resounding success for the studio, which continues to deliver new, original games that are a breath of fresh air.- Gameblog.fr

A year after its release, Tiny Bookshop is still a breath of fresh air in the gaming world. The proposition is modest but satisfying in many ways. Neoludic proves that you don’t need big effects or ultra-complex mechanics to be effective. Even though several aspects of the gameplay could stand to be a tad more refined to captivate us even further, the game is truly what you might call a gem to be savored in small doses—one you’ll happily return to whenever you need a peaceful escape.- Gameblog.fr

Beyond the chance to catch up with iconic heroines, Life is Strange Reunion brings fans full circle with a duo they’ve grown up with—and, potentially, with the entire franchise. This fifth installment thus oscillates between emotion and frustration. Deck Nine takes great care to give Max and Chloe the most satisfying conclusion possible for fans, but unfortunately gets lost in a branching storyline it never quite manages to fully control. We’re left with pacing issues and unbalanced storylines, weighed down by ever-present visual glitches. It’s hard, however, to deny the joy as a fan, as the chemistry between the heroines remains as strong as ever. Despite a few missteps, we dive in with pleasure and excitement into a chapter that reignites the experience that moved us 11 years ago.- Gameblog.fr

As refreshing and innovative as ever, Super Mario Bros. Wonder makes a triumphant return on Nintendo Switch 2. The brilliant recipe from 2023 remains intact, enhanced by visual improvements and new bonus content. Players will delight in exploring Bellabel Park, its mini-games, and its hidden secrets. Even though this brand-new area can only be experienced in multiplayer mode, the single-player adventure remains just as flawless and now boasts additional characters to help out the Flower Kingdom. WWE 2K26 plays it safe and it shows. This year's entry feels, in many ways, like a close relative of its predecessor. It tinkers with certain aspects of the gameplay and content with mixed results, stopping well short of anything that could be called a reinvention or even a meaningful leap forward. And yet, there's something about a WWE 2K game that keeps you coming back- Gameblog.fr

In the same vein as recent PS5 exclusive ports, Nixxes delivers an excellent PC version of Death Stranding 2. Graphically and technically almost flawless, aside from a few minor glitches, enjoyable to play with both keyboard/mouse and controllers, especially the DualSense, and with some welcome additions via a free update, this is clearly the definitive version of Kojima Productions' latest BB. A port of this quality makes it all the more regrettable that Sony has apparently decided to stop adapting other single-player PS5 exclusives for PC in the future. This one, therefore, has a very unique flavour and, whether we like it or not, represents a beautiful swan song for this chapter of PlayStation history, which closes on the Beach.- Gameblog.fr

Despite its rather delicate first hours, its shortcomings, and the frustrations that the experience can bring, Crimson Desert is undeniably a unique adventure in the video game landscape. Rarely has a game so convincingly blended epic combat, exploration open to experimentation, and life simulation within such a massive yet coherent and addictive medieval fantasy open world. Pearl Abyss's title isn't for everyone and is likely to be divisive, but it will captivate the most dedicated players for hundreds of hours of pure enjoyment as they lose themselves in its breathtaking abundance. It however needs a little polish to truly shine and take its rightful place among the greatest open-world sandbox games of all time.- Gameblog.fr

With this new port, Capcom reminds us just how pivotal Resident Evil 7 is in its now thirty-year-old saga. The claustrophobic setting of a dysfunctional family and the switch to a first-person perspective create an oppressive atmosphere that is just as compelling on Nintendo Switch 2. Furthermore, the hybrid hardware delivers impressive technical performance that perfectly preserves the original experience, with masterful pacing and meticulous level design. Monster Hunter Stories 3 breaks free from the constraints of a simple spin-off to finally create its own mythology. Fans will say they didn't need this third installment to appreciate the series, but the fact remains that this is the most successful, generous, and mature entry of them all. A true entry point for both fans and newcomers, it's interesting in many ways, from its skillful and polished gameplay to its blend of exploration and monster collecting. Even its deeply ecological message becomes a reason to offer incredibly addictive gameplay mechanics. It's hard not to enjoy it, even if you wince at certain difficulty spikes, a technical aspect that doesn't always do justice to the art direction, and some entirely unnecessary side quests. Nevertheless, Monster Hunter Stories 3 remains utterly monstrous.- Gameblog.fr

Like a fine wine, Stardew Valley improves with age. Even after 10 years, the title remains an essential reference in cozy farm games. Beneath its unpretentious retro indie game exterior, it actually hides an incredible amount of generosity. Supported by a community that is more active than ever today, its creator, Eric Barone, keeps expanding the range of possibilities with free extra content in each update. But above all, it works because the world it offers is as solid as it is immersive. The residents of Pelican Town are all characters worth getting to know, while the sense of freedom given to the player is reinforced by constant discoveries. Reigns The Witcher finds itself at a crossroads. On the one hand, it's a rather skillful adaptation of Nerial's license formula to the famous universe of Andrzej Sapkowski's books and, above all, CD Projekt RED's The Wild Hunt, which will certainly make fans smile. On the other hand, the experience unfortunately suffers from a rather frustrating contradiction between its punishing rogue-lite elements and its inspiration system, which often puts us in inextricable situations. Resident Evil 9 Requiem is certainly one of the best games in the franchise, and for a very simple reason : it is the ultimate mutation of a formula that has evolved over many years of research, experimentation, successes, and failures. It is the synthesis of an entire series, from its main titles to its many offshoots spread across nearly 30 years of existence. Two experiences in one that come together to form a whole that will keep us on the edge of our seats from start to finish, despite some pacing issues and a few missteps along the way, though these are quickly offset by well-executed fan service and brilliant execution.- Gameblog.fr

As a current-gen upgrade rather than a remaster/remake, this PS5/Xbox Series version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance does its job well. It effectively utilizes the capabilities of the latest consoles to display the 2018 title smoothly in up to 4K resolution, complete with high-definition textures, even if these don't entirely mask the fact that it's an eight-year-old game. Thanks to its impeccable performance, this is clearly the best console iteration of Warhorse Studios' first title, despite the controls being generally less intuitive with a gamepad than with the PC keyboard/mouse combo.- Gameblog.fr

REANIMAL follows directly in the footsteps of the studio's previous titles. Far from trying to reinvent the wheel, Tarsier simply does what it does best: immersing us in a dark and unsettling experience, driven by an uncompromising minimalism. Mario Tennis Fever marks the franchise's triumphant return on the Nintendo Switch 2. Camelot and Nintendo deliver a fun, family-friendly installment designed for short, accessible play sessions for all ages. From the matches and mini-games to the animation and the integration of the frenetic tennis rackets, everything is geared towards simple entertainment. However, this casual approach comes at the expense of a genuine challenge. The overly forgiving AI and the lack of real difficulty in any game mode will push players more towards multiplayer. Nioh 3 is the culmination of a decade spent exploring different approaches across several games in the same franchise, as well as attempts to create new ones. One might have thought that the transition to an open world would have caused it to lose its identity, but this is not the case. Team Ninja delivers a solid and very demanding action game here, and sometimes even somewhat punishing. Our salvation lies in the gameplay, which is unparalleled in its richness and depth. Two play styles, a vast array of weapons, and a hundred skills allow us to create a personalized gameplay experience that suits our individual preferences. Ultimately, everything culminates in a frenetic dance of blades with what is arguably the most dynamic combat system ever seen in a souls-like game. The legacy of Ninja Gaiden and FromSoftware games is ever-present, but so is the classic open-world formula. Fortunately, the execution is impeccable and engaging enough to completely immerse us in its world. We'll only be pulled out of this immersion by getting lost in the overwhelming amount of loot and an avalanche of statistics that will only appeal to theorycrafting enthusiasts.- Gameblog.fr

Slightly above average – that's ultimately what My Hero Academia: All's Justice deserves in our opinion. We did have a good time playing it, being fans of the anime, and the game does it justice, even if it's not perfect. It's a far cry from the disaster that was Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash. On paper, The Game Bakers' latest game might be simplistically labeled a “climbing simulator,” but in practice, it is far more than that. Beyond offering a challenge to both Aava and the player, CAIRN delivers an epic adventure rarely seen in video games. It is a work capable of inspiring wonder, frustration, anger, and moments of calm. Yet, what lingers most is the extraordinary sense of elation when we finally overcome our repeated failures. On paper, Code Vein 2 takes what made the first game unique and expands upon the formula in an Elden Ring-style open world to tell a brand new, ambitious story about time travel to save the world. However, the reality is far less appealing, from the dated graphics and clunky technical aspects to the frustratingly sluggish combat. If you truly loved its predecessor, you might be able to overlook its significant flaws and play for dozens of hours. If Eternal Strands somehow slipped under your radar amidst a truly insane previous year for video games, it deserves your full attention if you love magic, have a creative mind, and enjoy the epic feel of facing titanic monsters that Monster Hunter or Shadow of the Colossus wouldn't disown. This first game from a new studio composed of BioWare and Ubisoft veterans certainly offers a very solid foundation for a franchise as original as it is convincing. As it stands, however, one might regret a slight lack of risk-taking, which translates into an arsenal of weapons and spells, as well as a bestiary that, unfortunately, becomes repetitive rather quickly. We therefore hope that this successful first attempt has achieved well-deserved success, so that its creators can push the boundaries even further in a potential sequel.- Gameblog.fr

MIO Memories in Orbit is undoubtedly a wonderful surprise and an invitation to feast your eyes and ears. It's a game of rare artistic intensity that exudes genuine poetry throughout. You'll enjoy losing yourself in it for dozens of hours and exploring the sometimes sprawling depths of its inspired environments. Beneath its more than charming visuals lies a highly effective Metroidvania that borrows good ideas from various sources and applies them flawlessly with great precision. The execution is excellent, but the gameplay lacks personality, which truly contrasts with everything else. Graphically, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of FF7 Remake sits closer to the PS5 than the PS4 Pro, despite having a lower resolution on paper, and it commands respect. With a few minor concessions, the game runs smoothly in almost every situation and never compromises in portable mode. Everything feels carefully crafted to let players enjoy Midgar both on the go and on the big screen. Too bad it's locked at 30 fps. Whether Square Enix can maintain this level of performance with FF7 Rebirth and its more demanding open world remains to be seen. Syberia Remastered is definitely faithful to the spirit of the original version. Although this new version includes some welcome modernizations, it builds on the foundations of the 2002 title to bring players today a cult French point-and-click adventure story. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is undeniably a strong entry in the series. It captures the core elements that made the franchise a classic 18 years ago, while adding a few new twists. The joy of revisiting those nostalgic sensations in a fresh adventure is undeniable, but it also works against the game. Unlike Metroid Dread, which successfully modernized the series' formula, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond plays it safe, sticking to the familiar without taking bold risks. Beyond a few new abilities, features like the desert setting and the motorcycle feel lackluster, and its more linear, guided design feels like a step back compared to previous titles. However, Metroid Prime 4 still stands out as a highly enjoyable adventure, and arguably one of the most visually impressive games on the Nintendo Switch 2. Thanks to Dispatch, AdHoc and the Telltale veterans who comprise it brought back the episodic narrative game format that made this legendary studio famous with flying colors. The story of Robert and the Z-Team is a constant delight, driven by incredibly endearing characters, phenomenal voice acting, and stunning art direction, all within a fast-paced narrative entirely dictated by our choices. The game also shines with its incredibly addictive and intuitive management mechanics, which perfectly put us in the shoes of a team leader of rookies who will eventually become true superheroes, though this aspect loses some of its appeal once the initial surprise of the first playthrough wears off. With Anno 117: Pax Romana, Ubisoft Mainz proves it is possible to evolve a beloved formula without losing its identity. The move to Antiquity is more than a new setting. It reshapes building, trade, resource hierarchy, cultural balance and even city planning thanks to diagonal roads and more uneven terrain. It is not as disruptive as Anno 1800 was at the time, but it improves several essential systems. Flexible needs make each run smoother. The Roman and Celtic coexistence gives regions a stronger personality. The huge research tree adds long-term strategic depth. The visual direction is stunning and brings a rare elegance to the whole experience. Some parts still need work, such as land battles or certain UI details, but these limits never overshadow the core experience. Anno 117 remains a rich and captivating city-builder. With Jurassic World Evolution 3, Frontier Developments delivers the most complete and polished entry in the series so far. The studio didn’t reinvent the formula but refined it in almost every way. Ninja Gaiden 4 definitely breathes new life into the iconic franchise, thanks in large part to a dream partnership with action game masters Platinum Games. The result is a game with truly frantic, exhilarating gameplay that's also very intuitive and offers just the right amount of challenge to appeal to both veterans and newcomers. Despite its age, FF Tactics remains timeless. This masterpiece has stood the test of time, and now returns in one of its best versions yet. Although it lacks the content from the PSP version, The War of the Lions, this remaster introduces enough new features to appeal to those who missed out on what is widely regarded as one of the best Final Fantasy games to date. Both the English and Japanese voice-overs add depth to one of the most memorable stories in video gaming. While it is regrettable that, after 30 years, we have to settle for a remaster with so little work done on the visuals, it is also this old-school feel that gives the game its charm. Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles honours the legend.- Gameblog.fr

The Outer Worlds 2 ticks all the boxes of a successful sequel, building on the solid foundation of its predecessor to offer an even more ambitious and complete RPG. We are therefore treated with a true "role-playing game" in a video game format, which offers enormous freedom in the way we approach its universe of impressive coherence and fine writing, very beautiful to contemplate, and always with the caustic humor of the franchise. It also offers pleasant and modern gameplay that does not stand out against pure FPS / TPS. However, we will have to deal with a staging that seriously lacks spice, a very perfectible artificial intelligence, and the fact of limiting ourselves to the specialization of a part of the available skills. At the risk of finding ourselves greatly handicapped over the course of a main quest that is ultimately less exciting than the side missions that punctuate the adventure. One way like any other to make us want to start a new game, if finishing the adventure in one go with a very generous lifespan was not enough. An Obsidian game as we like them, in short.- Gameblog.fr

Hades 2 is a masterful sequel. Melinoe's adventure surpasses Zagreus's in absolutely every way: more robust and enjoyable gameplay; more diverse progression that offers an infinite number of ways to complete a run, each as satisfying as the next; titanic content literally doubled compared to the original title; divine artistic direction, Supergiant Games offers us yet another Boon worthy of the gods. The title has everything it needs to be included in the pantheon of the best rogue-lites of all time, or even to win the GOTY 2025 title. Such generosity, however, is to its detriment when it comes to the true ending of the game, which is unnecessarily long to unlock, and terribly disappointing given the time spent to reach it. However, this will only concern the most dedicated players, and ultimately does not detract so much from the immense qualities of a title that has everything of a true masterpiece.- Gameblog.fr

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is clearly a radically different experience from its illustrious predecessor. Despite the regrettable loss of the "role-playing" aspect and the emblematic freedom of the first episode in favor of a more typical "narrative action-RPG" format, its sequel still does a good job of immersing us with undeniable mastery in the unique atmosphere of the World of Darkness. This is notably thanks to a fascinating story carried by two characters offering a beautiful duality; with two gameplays that skillfully complement each other by alternating truly exhilarating action/infiltration phases and investigation phases with a well-placed touch of madness. The title of The Chinese Room, however, suffers from a totally anecdotal open world, and a technical aspect that is certainly not unpleasant to look at, but which needs a little refinement to properly display its enticing vampire fangs.- Gameblog.fr

Battlefield 6 marks the franchise's grand return to the podium of the best FPS games of its generation. The change of direction for the license and this long-awaited return to its roots does it a world of good, and we're loving it. The campaign may not be very long and the AI is completely useless, but the simple fact of rediscovering a hint of the Bad Company 2 feeling is enough to make it enjoyable. This is a bonus that complements the main attraction, which is the multiplayer mode. The content is generous and we even get a new game mode, which turns out to be a very pleasant surprise. With around forty weapons, dozens of gadgets and accessories, and lots of cosmetics to unlock, it's hard to complain, especially when you know that more free content is on the way. Still, the number of maps is a bit stingy, especially since they're not all memorable, but that's pretty much all we can fault it for. The gameplay feels great and largely takes center stage, which is what matters most in the end. The multiplayer is unlike any other, it's classic Battlefield, intense and immersive, sometimes even more cinematic than the campaign. We want more, it's spectacular.- Gameblog.fr

Supermassive Games has successfully embraced the world of Nowhere, enriching it with both its narrative and its dynamic duo. Little Nightmares 3 shines with its anxiety-inducing atmosphere, meticulous staging, and a soundtrack that carefully punctuates every moment of tension. As for the gameplay, it constantly changes pace to keep us engaged. We move from captivating exploration to infiltration, with moments of more intense action in between. We regret a few inaccuracies in the handling and some room for improvement in terms of performance. But overall, this third installment is a success that should be even more enjoyable for two players, as long as you play online.- Gameblog.fr

Unsurprisingly, Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 are essential for anyone who never had the chance to play them on the Wii back in the day. There's no point in beating around the bush, the games are absolutely excellent and are among the plumber's best adventures. Generous in terms of content, ingenious and creative in their mechanics and the renewal of their environments, the two games are a real gold mine. Obviously, the Nintendo Switch 2 allows them to shine even more thanks to 4K in particular and constant fluidity. The only downside: there are no major new features other than an ultra-easy mode and a few extra book pages. Nothing that will encourage long-time fans, those who have already played the original two games from top to bottom, to buy.- Gameblog.fr

While Ghost of Yotei doesn't fundamentally revolutionize the already proven formula of Ghost of Tsushima, its sequel definitely perfects it in every aspect. Atsu's thirst for revenge, at first glance quite conventional, will take us on a magnificent journey through the Ezo region, as well as a moving quest of redemption for our heroine. Whether in the pleasantly immersive exploration of the open world, in a masterfully staged story or in a well-crafted and diverse action-infiltration gameplay, we are treated with a very generous adventure that constantly renews itself to keep us on the edge of our seats from start to finish. The PS5 has a new major exclusive here, which clearly overshadows Assassin's Creed Shadows, its illustrious big brother, and even other games of the same genre. Sucker Punch thus blesses us once again with a beautiful odyssey in feudal Japan, worthy of the great Japanese cinema from which it draws inspiration, and deserves the most poetic of haiku with a soothing shamisen tune in the background.- Gameblog.fr

Silent Hill f is a work of art brimming with love for the horror culture and the IP. Its narration tackles difficult themes with a rather rare mastery, balancing modesty and violence. Sega has skillfully orchestrated the blue hedgehog's return to the racetrack. Rather than taking the risk of a complete overhaul, the teams have instead revisited a formula that already worked very well, modernizing it by drawing inspiration from what they had previously created. Smooth, fast-paced, and wildly addictive, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has something to delight fans of the genre on all platforms. The only drawbacks are a rather meager launch roster, a limited number of Grand Prix tracks, and the Competition Area, which won't appeal to everyone. LEGO Voyagers is an audacious and contemplative adventure, which has the merit of attempting something that we had not yet encountered in the brand's catalog. The whole thing is sumptuous, beautifully served by graphics that will make animation studios jealous and an OST that perfectly serves the meditative dimension of the title. On the other hand, it lacks that little something engaging to fully transport us into its proposal. What's more, the sense of solidarity is sorely lacking in the co-op aspect, which is essential for a game that cannot be played solo. Borderlands 4 takes a turn that won't please everyone. In an attempt to satisfy some fans' requests, the developers have lost sight of the game's identity. It is less funny and striking than previous episodes, and it is only in its secondary content that we find some small, funny, offbeat stories. It's only after a few hours, or when playing in co-op with friends, that the game really comes into its own. Borderlands 4 is extremely generous and will keep you hooked for hours before you even reach the endgame. While its combat and progression system are globally solid, if not original, its story is as conventional as can be, its all-encompassing artistic direction lacking coherence, and its very choppy performances, notably suffering from major framerate issues, are clearly its downfall. Hell is Us is much more than it appears during the first few minutes. By cleverly combining action and adventure with the solving of arduous puzzles, the game plunges us into a dark and mature atmosphere, characterised by violence inspired by humanity's darkest moments. The themes it addresses are relevant, and it adds a supernatural and mystical dimension to the whole. Hell is Us is not without flaws — that's a fact. Its old-school approach is raw and unembellished, and will clearly not suit everyone. Metal Gear Solid Delta is an excellent remake that will appeal to both longtime fans and new players alike. Its visual overhaul and modernized gameplay make it a huge hit and relaunch the franchise in a positive direction, much like Silent Hill 2 Remake did. Unlike the latter, however, there is no risk-taking here. Metal Gear Solid Delta is a 1:1 remake peppered with fan service. While it allows players to discover this masterpiece, it adds nothing new. The game retains all its flavor, quality, and flaws, which mainly concern its gameplay inaccuracies and AI weaknesses from another era. In an effort not to offend anyone by offering a game that takes no risks, Konami sometimes creates a strange sense of dissonance between nostalgia and modernity. This results in gameplay issues that didn't exist at the time, as well as mechanics that no longer seem as coherent as they once did. That said, it's hard not to enjoy it and recommend it, as it's currently the best way to discover this incredible game.- Gameblog.fr

What matters in short games like Mafia The Old Country are memorable scenes, plot twists, and good ideas. There has to be something that sticks in your memory. In this case, what we'll remember is the unusual setting, some endearing characters, and the last third, which may be a little all over the place, but which shows us that Hanger 13 has resources and knows how to keep us on the edge of our seats with palpable narrative tension that grabs you by the gut and fast-paced gameplay. So why isn't this the case for the whole game? Mafia The Old Country isn't bad, it's good but just too conventional to stand out and will struggle to be remembered, unlike its predecessors. If you like the classic souls-like formula, Wuchang Fallen Feathers is a truly exemplary textbook case, but which adds some very welcome touches of originality to freshen up the experience. The Chinese title thus offers a generous, exhilirating adventure, with a level design that is as well executed as it is beautiful to contemplate, and spectacular fights, perhaps a little too much against bosses with increasingly unbridled power requiring you to have a near-perfect mastery of its gameplay. Death Stranding 2 isn't a great game, but a great work of art, far from the usual blockbusters. In more ways than one, it's not the kind of experience that everyone puts their hands on. You need to have a discerning eye, an open mind, and a certain curiosity for oddities, in addition to accepting that its structure and gameplay loop are absolutely redundant. If you approach it like any other title, it can be long, even boring at times, too easy certainly, and lazy in many ways. But the real experience lies elsewhere: in its concept of sharing and hyper connection, as well as in its deserted open world that we dress up with our creations while trying to put the pieces of a fractured and frightened humanity back together. It is also found in its convoluted main plot and its universe, which is difficult to approach but intriguing, and which keeps us on the edge of our seats until the end. It's a AAA UFO that sometimes goes overboard and doesn't particularly seek to please everyone, but it should still leave a lasting impression in one way or another. Love it, adore it, or hate it, Death Stranding 2 will leave no one unmoved. And just to be able to achieve such a contrast is art.- Gameblog.fr

Dune Awakening isn't a typical survival game. Where most games in the genre focus only on surviving or escaping, Funcom goes further. The game offers deep immersion in a legendary universe, a satisfying power curve, a team-based endgame, and PvP with real strategic potential. But this ambition comes with flaws. The experience is still rough in places. The UI is clunky, the AI is weak, and combat lacks fluidity. Some systems shine while others need polish. Dune Awakening won’t suit everyone. The Nintendo Switch 2 made the choice to add Cyberpunk 2077 to its list of launch games, and this was clearly not a good idea. Unfortunately, it's neither good for the console, which we know is capable of much better, nor for the game, which we can't fully enjoy as it deserves. The game is ugly, no matter which mode you choose, and of the 4 possibilities for playing it, only one remains viable and will still require you to make major concessions: Performance mode with the console in its dock. For the rest, it's best to pass. It's a pity, because this version of Cyberpunk 2077 makes excellent use of the feature that transforms the Joy-Con into a mouse, the sensations are very good, and as a bonus it includes the Phantom Liberty DLC and all the updates released to date. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is undoubtedly a French slap in the face, dripping with love for video games and art as a whole. Extremely generous in everything it undertakes, the only criticism it can ultimately have is that it sometimes goes a little too far, at the risk of exploding. It feels breathless, on edge. There isn't an aspect that doesn't follow through and firmly adhere to its creators' vision, even if it means being disconcerting, even disturbing. In this sense, the game exudes untouchable creativity and intelligence. The developers give us everything they have, everything they want, and we welcome it. Ultimately, all it would have lacked was a nice balance and a little more polish to make it a truly essential game. It nonetheless remains a serious contender for the most prestigious awards of the year.- Gameblog.fr

After two attempts, IO Interactive has finally succeeded in transforming Hitman World of Assassination into a highly recommended VR experience. In fact, it's one of the best virtual reality games on the market. Unfortunately, it's still a game designed for a flat screen, so there are limitations that prevent it from being a complete VR experience.- Gameblog.fr

Blue Prince is an indispensable nugget, one of the most exciting games of early 2025, and that's all there is to it. It's hard to talk about it without spoiling the huge surprise that awaits you. Without warning, the game bewitches us with its unique roguelite-puzzle game recipe. Insanely intelligent, the richness of its gameplay is based on puzzles that you have to solve yourself. Calling on our grey matter like never before, and even going beyond the boundaries of video games by forcing us to scribble our ideas on the corner of a table. Addictive in the extreme, even more rewarding than any roguelite, Blue Prince clearly deserves your attention. However, for us French-speaking fans, the language barrier can be a problem. But it can also be seen as a final test, and that suits it rather well, giving it an even more intriguing dimension in the end.- Gameblog.fr

Unlike the severly infected PC port of The Last of Us Part 1 at its release, The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC presents itself as a superb score with almost no false notes, apart from a few textures, a depth of field below the rest, and very rare bugs. We are therefore entitled here to a PC version of very high caliber from a technical point of view, coupled with extremely complete support for different control schemes and accessibility pushed to the maximum. If you have never played Part 2, you will definitely be spoiled here, even with a modest configuration. Likewise, players without a PS5 Pro will be able to enjoy the best version of Naughty Dog's masterpiece, unless the 50 euros price tag is prohibitive for you, but also without a mandatory PSN account.- Gameblog.fr

WWE 2K25 is without any difficulty a the must-have for wrestling game lovers. Everything is there with plenty of contents and with decent attempts of innovation in the player's experience. However, 2K seriously needs to look at the form and the technical engine that always does wonders, but sometimes is a lackluster on important elements on the ring.- Gameblog.fr

Neople's The First Berserker Khazan is a success. While it opts for a classic structure and a level design without too many surprises, it pulls out all the stops with its gameplay, halfway between souls-like and beat'em all. Hyper-energetic and highly graphic, the combat system is a pure success. Despite the difficulty, which is not always well balanced, the game is not punishing, but rather rewards the slightest action. The build-up of power coupled with the feeling of accomplishment make The First Berserker Khazan a truly enjoyable and exhilarating experience. Not to mention its masterful, eye-popping art direction and, above all, its talent for staging boss battles, which spares nothing. An excellent surprise for the start of the year, and an excellent hardcore action game.- Gameblog.fr
