In addition to having its own identity built by inspiration from the Korean imaginary of the afterlife and the peculiar aesthetics of few colors, 8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife Adventure manages to be a traditional metroidvania that doesn’t fall below the average of the genre, but neither does it manage to surpass it. In several aspects, the execution doesn’t reach its true potential, but, overall, it is worth it as a sufficiently cohesive, fun and well-presented experience.- GameBlast

Cataclismo is an RTS that combines resource management and tower defense elements very competently. The meticulous construction of walls and the need for constant planning make the game quite fun and addictive, in addition to providing the player with a good amount of freedom for customization. Although it has some caveats, it is a very welcome addition to the genre.- GameBlast

Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is a competent metroidvania, with cool visuals and solid gameplay. The scenarios are pleasant to explore and the fights are fun to play, all seasoned by a charming theme. It's a shame that it has some annoying problems in several areas, in addition to not offering significant innovations to such a competitive market. In the end, it's a suggestion mainly for lovers of the genre and fans of the Gal Gun brand.- GameBlast

Rusty Rabbit isn't bold in its proposal, but it's not bad either. The game has surrounded itself with great ideas, combining metroidvania and action with some RPG and humor. Of course, the massive repetitiveness caused by backtracking and the flaws in the gameplay can cause a certain exhaustion, but it's still a title that rewards those who make it to the end with a good adventure.- GameBlast

Elden Ring Nightreign is an experience that, while sharing similarities with the main game, sets itself apart in subtle ways. It’s a distilled version of the massive 2022 title, but its greatest strengths lie in its fast-paced combat, shorter runtime, and high-speed gameplay. It offers an engaging challenge for veterans, while also serving as a great entry point for those who don’t want to deal with the monumental scale of FromSoftware’s larger works.- GameBlast

The titles chosen for the MARVEL MaXimum Collection are quite interesting, ranging from the sorrowful Silver Surfer to the 16-bit Spider-Man duo and the celebrated arcade X-Men. Having them all together in one place is great; however, the weak point of this collection is precisely the gallery, which could be much richer and present the games contained within—all of which are over 30 years old—in a more convincing and detailed way for current generations.- GameBlast

Minos builds an interesting foundation by reversing the traditional role and turning the labyrinth into an active defensive tool. The combination of planning, traps, and direct intervention with the Minotaur creates tense and rewarding moments, especially when strategies begin to flow naturally, while the challenging campaign and steady progression help maintain engagement despite frequent defeats. However, repetition and limited content variety become more noticeable over time, with a lack of trap diversity, predictable level structure, and some visual clarity issues weakening the pacing and diminishing the impact of its strongest ideas. In the end, Minos presents strong and intriguing concepts, but still needs more diversity and refinement to sustain its long-term potential.- GameBlast

BALL x PIT stands out for its inventiveness by combining frantic action, roguelite progression, and block-breaking mechanics into a unique experience. The sphere fusion system and the cycle of building and upgrading the city provide a constant sense of progress and experimentation, while the retro visuals and controlled chaos of the battles make each match intense and engaging. However, the repetition of stages, constant grinding, and lack of variety eventually diminish some of the initial impact. Still, it remains a notable title for its originality and hypnotizing action.- GameBlast

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered fulfills its role in rescuing one of the most important chapters of one of the most remarkable narratives in video games. Even more than two decades after its original release, the game still holds up mainly due to the strength of its story, the quality of its characters, and the way it concludes the complex saga of Kain and Raziel. But not everything has aged perfectly. Some limitations of the original version remain noticeable, especially in the camera system and certain aspects of gameplay. These elements reflect the era in which the game was created and may seem strange to players accustomed to more modern action titles.- GameBlast

Anger Foot didn't bring anything new to the PS5, and, in fact, it didn't need to. Its mechanics, with a greater focus on speed than precision, are addictive, even if hampered by the highly repetitive level design and enemy patterns. Viewed only as a puzzler, Mind Over Magnet is casual, fun, enjoyable, and polished — but don't expect it to be memorable, surprising or even long. Those qualities will only be appreciated by those interested in seeing the game from the perspective of a solo developer's project tracing winding paths of learning, and problem-solving. This is the audience that will benefit most from exploring the game along with the creator's commentary contained in it, and the videos that portrayed the three-year development process.- GameBlast

Monument Valley 3 captivates with its stunning art direction, dreamlike settings, and an accessible design that invites contemplation. Noor's journey is engaging and filled with creative puzzles, though simpler and more predictable compared to previous titles. WiZmans World Re;Try is a charming dungeon-crawling JRPG remaster whose real hook is the Anima Fusion system, letting you absorb defeated monsters to evolve and customize your three homunculi with new stats, skills, and even looks. Onirism presents an interesting set of ideas and has enough personality to stand out, but its execution still falls short of the concept’s potential. Unfortunately, Fighting Force Collection is less than the sum of its parts (which aren't amazing on their own). The first game is more appealing and easier to pick up, as its beat 'em up premise, despite being simple, works well, especially when played with a friend. The second title shifts to a secret agent-style adventure, with more weapons and missions that are more complex. Both are entertaining for a while, but their mechanics are practically outdated for current 3D games. That is where the collection could have improved things, with more technical enhancements, interesting materials about the games, and gameplay options. Considering the complete package, it is worth for nostalgia or curiosity reasons, but very little beyond that.- GameBlast

The idea of mixing strategic management with existential drama and science fiction results in a game that will demand both the player's technical and social skills. This is where my perception of it being a weird subversion of a farm simulator, such as Story of Seasons, comes into play. It's just that instead of planting turnips, milking cows and trying to woo some of the village's bachelorettes (or bachelors), we have to mine an inhospitable planet, maintain a functional mobile base and prevent alternative versions of ourselves from killing each other. In short, The Alters can be as welcoming as it is irritating — but it is also unique in its own way.- GameBlast

I confess I expected less from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Recent titles have alternated between highs and lows, but the new FPS managed to maintain the overall quality seen in last year's game. The biggest criticism is the campaign, which is, at the very least, controversial: not only does it force the player to go online and play cooperatively, but it also has a sometimes inconsistent storyline. In terms of Multiplayer and Zombies, we have fun and well-produced options. The former benefits from the futuristic setting, receiving interesting and timely updates. The latter remains addictive and varied, full of surprises for shootouts against the undead. Therefore, even if it's not revolutionary and still lacks information about Warzone, we have here a competent shooter, especially for those who are already fans of the franchise.- GameBlast

Kotama & Academy Citadel is a competent metroidvania that clearly understands the fundamentals of the genre and delivers a solid overall experience. The fast, combo-heavy combat and the vast map packed with content are standout features, and the colorful anime-style atmosphere helps make the adventure engaging. Because it does not offer particularly hopeful endings, it may not appeal to everyone, but it will certainly leave a lasting impression on those willing to experience its journey.- GameBlast

Despite its drawbacks, Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana manages to deliver a very fun and engaging adventure. Even with some issues arising from its age, such as slightly dated visuals and relatively simple gameplay, we have here a very enjoyable experience thanks to the fast combat and good level of challenge. It is a suggestion for fans of action RPGs, especially with that more classic feel.- GameBlast

Clearly inspired by VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action and Emily is Away, S4U: CITYPUNK 2011 AND LOVE PUNCH manages to stand out by working its gameplay almost entirely in first person in its own way, offering a solid and charming adventure. Its greatest merit, however, is the sensitivity with which it manages to work its own narrative and foster a very important feeling for the maintenance of relationships between human beings: empathy.- GameBlast

Newest release in the iconic franchise, EA Sports FC 26 has arrived with few improvements and no innovations. While it remains essentially fun, with many game modes and good gameplay, the game suffers from its dated production and lack of significant changes. Competitive online modes, in particular, remain greedy, albeit with some improvements. In the end, this is a good choice for soccer fans who are familiar with the series or who have been away for a long time and want to get back on the field.- GameBlast

BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3 captures the essence of Brazilian culture — particularly that of Rio de Janeiro — in a game. It’s a title that requires you to embrace its state of mind, as it doesn’t shy away from its numerous imperfections. In this vast boomer shooter market, it is undoubtedly one of the most unique — at least in terms of its concept.- GameBlast

Tormented Souls 2 builds upon the foundation of its predecessor with smoother controls, improved pacing, and an atmosphere that successfully captures the essence of classic survival horror. Despite predictable environments and some rough edges in puzzles and combat, it’s a confident follow-up that proves the series can stand on its own moving forward.- GameBlast

Presenting a very innovative game proposal, Rematch simplifies the rules of soccer to offer an intense and fun experience. Without throw-ins or fouls, but with lots of dribbling and artistic plays, we have here a game focused on competitive online matches. Although this focus exposes some problems, the title has enough qualities and the promise of important new features, deserving a chance to be added to your library.- GameBlast

Eternal Strands is a good game with good ideas, but it doesn't have the right structure to make the most of them, stretching its use until it becomes completely repetitive and compromising the strength of its dynamic action proposal with magic and physics.- GameBlast

Klaus Lee: Thunderballs isn't the kind of game that offers bold proposals, but it does a great job of delivering a competent challenge with a more retro feel. However, it may not be as easy to digest for younger players, who weren't forged with the punishing adventures of an older era of video games.- GameBlast

Demon Lord: Just a Block is a competent roguelike that shines through its inventive combat. The blend of turn-based strategy and real-time parrying creates a deeply satisfying rhythm. Despite occasional balancing issues that can trivialize the challenge and a lack of genre-defining innovation, its visual charm and solid localization make for a pleasant experience. Ultimately, it’s a fun, low-stakes title perfect for casual play.- GameBlast

Like a dream come true from the 1990s, Gimmick! 2 has beautiful, lively visuals, clever and challenging platforming, and plenty of charisma, although it doesn't try to expand the game's identity beyond the cute design of Yumetaro and his adversaries. Even though it can be frustrating due to the many instant deaths on spikes, the simple and straightforward campaign will please 2D platformers admirers.- GameBlast

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is a great game. In fact, this version should have been released back in 2021, but the improvements it brings make it a highly recommended title for both those familiar with the series and those who have never heard of it. However, there are some basic things that other major franchises in the genre already offer, and VF5 could have included them as well, such as a better presentation for the Training mode, more freedom in customization, and the ability to edit the playlist played during matches.- GameBlast

The Alchemist & His Battle-Scarred Homunculus is a visual novel that stands out for the quality of its writing and the development of its characters. It is a game that deals with serious themes in a respectful and well-executed manner, without resorting to excessive drama.Despite some technical issues, such as the lack of variety in the scenarios and a rather unmemorable soundtrack, the relationship between Rakels and Mel is worth knowing for those who enjoy slice-of-life romances with a touch of fantasy.- GameBlast

The added characters by the DLC are beautiful and well animated. Although I am not a big fan of the series myself, it is noticeable that the functional characteristics of each one match their origin. More than that, they add freshness to the game, which has a large cast and needs to maintain balance and originality among its options. Unfortunately, despite being positive additions, the content of Dead by Daylight: Stranger Things Chapter 2 seems a bit shallow to me. For example, there is no new map (the one available, inspired by Hawkins Laboratory, came in the previous DLC) or even a dedicated event. In the end, it is a good option for fans of the base game or the franchise, but it falls a little short.- GameBlast

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is a modest but worthy farewell to a series that has always been humble. The concise campaign focuses on what works and gets straight to the point, with a good pace of exploration and progression, but its basic metroidvania mechanics fail to impress, both in the simplistic traversal abilities and in the merely satisfactory combat. Fortunately, the aesthetics refine the visuals with good effects, making this a game that, despite being unpretentious, is fun, enjoyable and very beautiful.- GameBlast

No More Heroes 2 is more than just a 3D version of the previous games. The variety of weapons and scenario conditions deepen the strategic aspect of the gameplay, and the freedom to choose any level to play from the beginning provides a very welcome openness, ranging from accessible to challenging. The presentation is quite generic, lacks any story and has some UI elements with positioning issues, but what matters most really works: the cooperative fun for up to four people to coordinate amidst the good old chaos of playing as a team.- GameBlast

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 simply continued what the first one brought: a way to actively experience the anime's elaborate battles. Formula Legends suffers from some pretty annoying structural issues that prevent it from shining as a lighter, yet still challenging, alternative for motorsport enthusiasts. The idea of featuring cars from different eras is welcome and well-explored, as is using Grand Prix races from each era to showcase the evolution of the sport itself. However, a racing game that doesn't hone your driving skills needs to urgently return to the pits for repairs.- GameBlast

This new release of Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle is a welcome addition to SNK's remaster catalog, especially given the unconventional nature of the choice, as it's not one of the company's flagship titles. Beyond the Ice Castle 2 brings back a simple game from the 1980's in a new edition with much more substance. For better or worse, it goes back to the old elements of Castlevania with linear stages, a great dark fantasy atmosphere, slow and heavy movement, and high difficulty that's reinforced by the not so generous healing system and the long distances in between the save points. This makes death a stage repetition that can be frustrating and repel the public that isn't keen to facing this kind of retro punishing experience.- GameBlast

The Precinct has a great action and narrative proposal, but it needs to fix some things. A Game About Digging a Hole is exactly what it promises: a simple, silly and unpretentious experience, but one that delivers honest fun for those looking for something different and without commitment. Its basic gameplay loop — digging, finding items, selling and improving equipment — may seem repetitive at first, but becomes more engaging as the player progresses. The game doesn't worry about guiding the player or teaching them how things in this little world work, which reinforces its casual and straightforward proposal.- GameBlast
