While it may feel a little limited for gamers who are more used to a plethora of options, fighting game players who are looking to test their skills and improve their abilities against a host of play styles will find plenty to love with this one. Tight without ever feeling slight, Virtua Fighter 5: R.E.V.O. World Stage is a great choice for players who loved the Virtua Fighter series or who want to improve their fighting game mechanics.

An enhanced remaster with more content that shows how Virtua Fighter has all the potential to become something special with its believable combat, while rival series delve deeper into fantasy.

The World Stage mode adds a meaningful single-player experience with unlockable cosmetics and secondary tournaments, while the inclusion of Dural and improved online features enhance replayability, although the mode can become repetitive and the paid DLC for Dural is frustrating. Despite minor drawbacks, the game remains visually appealing and mechanically deep, making it the most complete and polished version of Virtua Fighter 5 to date.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage serves as the finale for a game with an amazing track record. The new single-player content, crossplay, and rollback netcode are great additions that allow players to continue enjoying its excellent gameplay. However, as a definitive edition, it could have been improved upon by removing payment barriers.
