World Stage gives both new and returning World Tournament fighters a reason to jump back in and welcome fresh challengers. Expecting more than the competitive spirit of “fight everyone on everything” might lead to a ring out for your expectations, though.

Gameplay-wise, it’s the same deep, technical fighter fans have loved for years, though new learning tools make it more welcoming for newcomers. Visually, it’s the best version yet—but it’s also a clear reminder that the series is overdue for a full-scale evolution.

    Overall, if you’ve played Virtua Fighter in the past, R.E.V.O. World Stage is a great way to return to the series, thanks to its ‘World Stage’ mode, better graphics, and more. If you’ve heard of Virtua Fighter before, but never had the chance to play it, R.E.V.O. World Stage is a fantastic way to get into the series before the sixth entry arrives.
