Beyond a few small limits, Marvel Snap is the card game that many fans have been waiting for: fun, fast, overflowing with style and boundless fanservice, with a simple regulation and an intriguing and layered progression system. If you are passionate about the House of Ideas and are looking for a "hit and run" gaming experience, the Second Dinner Studios game could be for you. For those who grew up on bread, Marvel Comics and MCU, getting sucked into the snap of Marvel Snap is practically ... ineluctable.

Saturnalia is an adventure that shows off its Italian roots by creating an intriguing story, although not too original, capable of exploiting Sardinian folklore and a credible setting within a highly inspired sensory frame. It works more on a conceptual and visual level than on a strictly playful one, but it is an imbalance that does not excessively affect the pleasure of the experience.

Victoria 3 finally arrives after years of incessant requests from the Paradox community and grand strategies, and it does it in style. The team responsible for the new chapter has managed to implement what fans were hoping for: expand, innovate and simplify a system of social and economic simulation without sacrificing the complexity that had so amazed already in the second title of the series. Victoria 3 is not a game for everyone but all those who want to play it hard will see this "investment" highly rewarded.

Bayonetta 3 is Pure Platinum again. Technical uncertainties partially weaken the visual appeal, but do not sufficiently reduce the overall audiovisual footprint and do not prevent the adventure from achieving excellence. The third chapter of the saga is a continuous discovery, a fireworks show dedicated especially to fans of the Witch of Umbra. In support of a flair and a variety of very high thickness stands a highly calculated gameplay, a combination of controlled chaos and trotting spectacularity. There is a lot, in Bayonetta 3, all that is needed to allow Platinum's work to represent the apotheosis of action games.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition boasts a really wide range of content, able to satisfy the tastes of a wide range of fans. Fans of the iterations of the series in the third person will find a good reason to relive the exploits of Ethan Winters once again, while those who do not hold up too well the tension could use the new view to manage it better, so as to recover an adventure with some. less focused idea but with an enveloping atmosphere, a level playful substrate and a visual presentation of great caliber. In addition to the chance to experience the final piece of the Winters family mosaic with Shadows of Rose, Resident Evil fans can have fun - and lots of it! - with Additional Missions, a Mercenary expansion that uses iconic and often ruthless fighters to put dark smiles on the faces of those who take on their shoes.

The missing piece of the great mosaic of the Winters family, whose vicissitudes have played a central role in the latest iterations of the series, is a pleasant addition to the now wide offer within Resident Evil Village, albeit not without structural ups and downs or missed opportunities. From a playful point of view, the large section at the Dimitrescu castle is certainly the most effective, thanks to the skilful use of Rose's powers and you find them as the nuclei of the Megamicete, whose removal - combined with the presence of sufficiently dangerous abominations - succeeds to create moments of healthy tension. It is a pity, however, that Le Ombre di Rose has explored a little the idea of the "network of consciences" in favor of the only experience of Ethan's daughter, whose journey in any case deserves to be experienced by all fans of the trend. of the Winters.

The developers of Dimps had set themselves the goal of offering a peculiar asymmetrical multiplayer with a Dragon Ball theme, capable of immersing players in the tension of a game between cat and mouse lived on a tightrope. Unfortunately, due to a clear imbalance between the experience with villain and that in the role of the survivors, Dragon Ball: The Breakers fails to hit the mark, also given the only game mode present and the small number of maps available.

HB Studios have done a good job with the PGA 2K23 adding some new content while improving the gameplay and simulation realism at the same time. The roster features first-rate stars and some global icons such as Michael Jordan and Steph Curry, while the routes included should keep fans busy for quite a while (thanks to the plethora of content produced by its passionate community). TopGolf mode is a great variation on the theme, and online multiplayer is robust albeit lacking in substantial novelties. The graphics sector, on the other hand, can be improved: the quality of the animations and paths is fluctuating and not up to what is achieved by Visual Concepts / 2K with NBA 2K23.

The one packaged by Kite Games is a formula full of proposals, appreciable by the admirers of the real-time strategy, especially in the medieval setting, which, however, would certainly have benefited from further study and care. After all, the playful recipe works but does not impress, accomplices of the constituent elements unable to interact better with each other. In other words, what The Valiant offers is an experience with a good dose of unexpressed potential, both from a narrative and a technical point of view.

New Tales from the Borderlands has amused us, excited us, even moved us at times (rarely eh, don't think you will get depressed!). To say that he never takes himself seriously would be a mistake, given that behind a shattered facade and at times jester characters in constant, deliberate and theatrical over acting hides an evidently remarkable study. The final result, whether in the form of direct narration, multiple choice questions, QTE or other is not always perfect but in general we are facing a more than successful revival of the expansive operation for the Borderlands universe that has begun. with the first Tales from, full of well-distributed quotes that will make RPG fans and enthusiasts very happy.

Gotham Knights is Warner Bros Games' experiment to also bring DC superheroes to open world RPG territory. Given the legacy of the glorious Arkham series, however, the result is a fairly controversial work: a digital playground for those who live off Batman comics and a good diversification system for the four playable heroes do not fully justify a formula in which the quantity dominates quality. The open world that acts as a theater for the adventures of Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood is traditional and repetitive, while the role-playing inspiration - however stimulating in terms of progression - becomes too overwhelming for the narrative and playful rhythm of the production. In general, the major divergences from the Arkham epic are in part the main limitation of the work. While having fun, the Gotham Knights still don't seem to be at the level of their mentor.

As things stand, Overwatch 2 is not so much a sequel as it is an update to the first chapter. Net of the changes made, we cannot consider what we have seen so far as something fully satisfactory or capable of justifying the number "to the right" of the title. Net of a fairly interesting story capable of offering some interesting narrative crossroads, the first work of GoldKnights did not fully convince us. The main problems lie in the gameplay of The Last Oricru: the combat system is cumbersome and not always perfectly responsive, a situation further aggravated by significant drops in frame rates. Exploration, on the other hand, suffers from scenarios that tend to repeat themselves and confuse those who pass through them. Basically we are talking about a missed opportunity, which we hope will give the team some important lessons in view of future productions.

While representing the only major lack, the complicated control system that distinguishes the construction phases significantly inhibits the pleasure of the experience. A doubly unpleasant circumstance, given that the puzzles and puzzles proposed by the creative phases are genuinely stimulating and varied. As can be easily understood, given the belonging of the game to the LEGO franchise, the moments that require you to assemble the bricks to proceed in the adventure represent in fact the founding core of the production. Unlike the first chapter, Lovecraft's Untold Stories 2 does not hit the mark, but in contrast it represents a clear step back in many respects. Its only real strength is represented by the artistic direction, which, abandoning the pixel art of the progenitor, preferred to adopt a cleaner design inspired by comic books. Overall, the title turned out to be somewhat unsatisfactory: once the adventure began, you are immediately catapulted into history without a real guide, while the combat system appears slow and clumsy, also due to woody animations. To this already unfortunate situation must be added some rather unbalanced enemies, numerous bugs that compromise the experience, an isometric view that sometimes makes you turn up your nose and, last but not least, the unexpected removal of the cooperative mode promised to the public during the development. F1 Manager 2022 is a fun title with surprisingly high production values. The managerial management is deep to the right point, without ever becoming overwhelming or unnecessarily complex and some goodies such as the samples of the radio teams will surely make all fans happy. It is difficult to find real faults in what there is and it is rather what is not there that leaves a bad taste in the mouth: it is in fact impossible to change excuses, create your own team, or compete in multiplayer, to do some examples. That said, if you're a lover of chaos and easygoing, manageable criminal travels, get ready to end the summer with a bang.

It is certainly not a novelty that a tender palletta famous for gulping down enemies or Bon Bon, can be greedy, but this time Kirby exceeds expectations: Kirby's Dream Buffet presents itself as a party game that proudly rests on a gastronomic dimension. Through a four-course menu, you will roll, bounce and immerse yourself in a contest of sponge cake and burgers, trying to conquer as many strawberries as possible. It would be more exciting if there was the possibility to customize the Kirbys of the secondary players or if other mini-games were also included in the path, to make the tasting even more varied. "Vote die you"? No. But as an alternative to other games it is inspired by, it leaves a sweet, soft feeling, less of contention and more of feasting. We advise against playing it on an empty stomach.

Red Matter 2 is the perfect sequel to the first chapter from both a narrative and a technical point of view. The performance on Oculus Quest 2 is excellent and the graphics sector is sensational, so much so as to make this title better than many PCVR projects with more hardware resources available. The story proceeds with many more surprises than that of the predecessor and unfolds in different scenarios, presenting some new mechanics at their best. While it proved problematic in specific shooting stages, the gameplay as a whole is rich and offers several hours of fun and wonder for both VR novices and veterans alike. If you have played the progenitor of the series, know that this sequel may surprise you, thanks to a dystopian sci-fi universe at times surprising.

ATLUS managed to surprise us again. Drawing on a hybrid system between Shin Megami Tensei and Persona, the studio has packaged an articulated and galvanizing role-playing experience, which has nothing to envy to the best JRPGs of recent years. If the Tregenda proved to be an excellent alternative to the now classic All-Out-Attack, embellishing and renewing an already articulated and profound combat system such as the "Press Turn" System, the Demonic Reconnaissance has instead been able to significantly streamline the exploratory component, as well as the collection of funds, materials and the recruitment of new Demons. On the flip side, the cross-gen nature and an inorganic artistic direction prevented the product from aiming for excellence, demonstrating once again how much ATLUS needs to improve in terms of graphics and performance. Ultimately Soul Hackers 2 may not be the new Persona 5, but that's just fine.

There is nothing that can entice and stimulate the player to face the twenty hours needed to complete the full-bodied adventure of Lost Epic. The component that works best, the action formula, is also the thinnest, and certainly not enough to bear the weight of the whole experience. The other areas of the gameplay unfortunately only weigh it down further, mechanical accomplices not well implemented and useless trappings. In short, these are the reasons why this 2D action rpg has been trapped in the limbo of mediocrity.

He does it in a convincing way, also thanks to his ability to know how to wink at long-time players and the many small tributes to the 90s. The multiplayer experience is also a valid addition, on a par with what has been seen with the recent Supermassive-branded productions. As a tennis game itself, once you have metabolized the control system and passed over a number of gaps, it's not bad at all. Unfortunately, there is a lack of content: the career becomes boring after a couple of hours of play and there is nothing else to do but beat your own records with minigames or challenge a friend on the sofa at home.
