    Simple, nuanced, design makes Marvel Snap an essential play not just for card game fans but for anyone that might have a few minutes to kill. It won’t turn every player into a card shark, but it’s bound to win fans in unusual places, and with a low barrier to entry you’re really only hurting yourself if you don’t give it a go.

    In spite of some growing pains, Marvel Snap is fantastic and a marvelous first effort from the folks at Second Dinner. Like Marvel itself, it should be fun to see how it grows going forward.

    Marvel SNAP does a terrific job of introducing players to its unique design. Here you gradually get more and more cards to play with, and it never gets boring to see which heroes and villains are waiting around the next corner.

    The best thing about Marvel Snap is that it requires so little effort to play yet has brilliant strategic depth. Matches are so quick that you’ll rarely feel the sting of disappointment upon defeat, while each win pushes you towards the next card reveal. Like any live service game, it's constantly evolving with balance patches a roadmap teasing new content and features. Let's just hope we'll see the developers lessen the grind and give players more ways to unlock their favourite Marvel heroes and villains in future.

    The rules are relatively simple, but the random locations in each game and almost infinite possible decks to use, provides a great deal of depth and strategy. Games only take a couple of minutes to play, making it a perfect for mobile gaming, and all the cards can be unlocked simply by playing games so it doesn’t try to fleece you like so many other free to play titles. The structure of the game is simple, but the execution is well thought out with addictive elements that keeps the player in the gameplay loop. The finishing touch; cool card designs and the possibility to collect better cards that can change you strategy.

    Marvel Snap really is an addition to the game library of your mobile devices!

    - Fast pace and short gameplay loop

    - Collecting cards

    Fun for casual gaming but supremely frustrating if you're serious about climbing the ranks to Infinity. You can go on a crazy win streak followed by a crazier losing streak. The song "Build Me Up Buttercup" pretty much summarises what I feel about this game.

    As a Marvel fan, I find it fun to see characters I've never seen before in the comics but use often in the game. I then read up on them on Marvel Unlimited which makes both game and comic services complementary of each other.

    However, after 2-3 months of seriously playing this game, the frustration is real. I just am very suspect at the matchmaking algorithm, both when I'm on winning and losing streaks. It feels like there's a hidden hand behind players' decks that match up specific builds to tailor to either a winning or losing outcome for players. I may be wrong but that's what i feel.

    TLDR; play this for fun and ONLY when missions are available. Don't bother with seriously climbing the ranks. The frustration is not worth it.    … Expand

    TLDR: The game extremely pay to win.

    All the new cards are super meta defining and you need to play everyday for a lot of hours, just to keep up with the resources to buy a new OP card.
