Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a game that exhibits a few minor imperfections—likely due to the developers' limited experience—yet these elements fail to detract from what is, overall, a truly unique experience that is enjoyable from both a gameplay and an aesthetic standpoint. Anyone who appreciates "boomer shooters" or the distinctive style adopted by Fumi Games should not let this title pass them by—especially given the budget-friendly price point at which it has been offered since launch.

F1 Manager is a brand that moves with reasoned steps. After having laid the foundations in 2022 with the debut chapter, it seems that Frontier wants to continue working on the foundations, without making real changes to the formula, but adding one piece at a time, following a slow development plan. In our opinion, a little more courage wouldn't have gone amiss, but let's be clear: the graphics have been improved, the "Create a team" mode was clamored for by fans, there are several refinements to the gaming experience and everything this will delight those who have spent dozens of hours on F1 Manager 2023.

The hours spent trying to end the civil war in Grand Chien have only confirmed how much the guys at Haemimont Games have listened to the players. In Jagged Alliance 3 we found many of the ingredients that made the brand legendary 25 years ago, showcased by the undisputed technical and artistic skills of the developers. The major criticalities are found in the monotony of a rather cumbersome management phase, which clashes with the excellent beating heart of the experience: its engaging and unpredictable fights. Some courageous game design choices could divide fans, but anyone looking for a valid turn-based strategy game will find bread for their teeth in the immense replay value of a title that does not forgive mistakes of a tactical nature.

On the one hand it is nice to see how the gameplay offered by Company of Heroes Collection is still appreciable despite the many years that have passed, thanks to the substantial and varied campaigns within the production. On the other hand, however, to be fully convincing nowadays, the experience would have needed to be based on an engaging scenic system, capable of transmitting the power of the battles to the player. For purely age reasons, this power is rather reduced in Company of Heroes Collection.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is and remains a masterpiece of the genre, but "Black" is a lazy and dull "deluxe remaster" operation, which does not correct or modernize the most critical aspects of the original and, in some ways, worsens them. However, Itagaki's masterpiece remains a must and having the possibility of enjoying it in a more modern and up-to-date graphic guise certainly has its appeal.

The aesthetic richness and narrative complexity of the universe forged by Games Workshop have transformed what could risk being a "more of the same" experience so familiar but with peculiarities capable of satisfying veterans of strategists. The attention paid by the development team to create environments full of details, from the architecture of the buildings to the style of the infrastructures, competes only with the minutiae that adorn the armor of our knights or the horrifying monstrosities present on the battlefield. The presence of typical elements of XCOM in Daemonhunters should not be seen as a defect but as a basis on which Complex Games has placed an interesting but not perfect mix between new mechanics and more consolidated elements. It is a pity, however, that the numerical gap between knights and demons has negatively affected the pleasantness of the playful mixture, which in specific missions did not manage to shine as we hoped.

With the public's attention clearly directed towards the sequel to Breath of the Wild, the choice to quench the thirst of fans with the revival of one of the most controversial chapters of the series could make this re-release welcome with a certain prejudice. In reality, it is an edition that allows you to experience an adventure unfairly sunk in a new light by questionable design choices already at the time of the original publication. Skyward Sword remains an imperfect title, but this HD version finally manages to do justice to a production that is too often underestimated, making it accessible to a wide audience of gamers who should absolutely not miss the opportunity to discover the origins of the legend of Zelda. An almost mandatory recovery for those who have been struck by Breath of the Wild and equally essential for those who threw in the towel in 2011.

The small smudges reported up to this point do not compromise the experience as a whole. In the approximately 10 hours of gameplay required for completion, to which another handful is added to complete all the secondary ones left open, Tails of Iron constantly keeps the player's attention high, just like Redgi's shield. The Outer Worlds 2 represents both a confirmation and a significant evolution from the previous installment in the series from Obsidian Entertainment, a team that has proven adept at crafting compelling role-playing experiences. The sequel to the original title not only expands the saga's already rich and distinctive universe, but does so with impressive attention to detail and player choice. Sure, the technical side isn't cutting edge, and there's still plenty of room for improvement in some aspects, like combat. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a simple remaster, but the three games that comprise it have stood the test of time quite well. The gameplay is still immediate today, the puzzles, riddles and cases to solve are stimulating but not frustrating, and the updated mechanics for the new platforms work well. We already knew the plots, they are mysterious enough and all the characters, not just the protagonists, are well characterized. Graphically, then, it is incredible to see all the models and animations in high definition, the "Objections!" and the expressions of both 3D models and the more classic flat illustrations. It's just a shame for the lack of localization in Italian and for the extras, which are poorly looked after and rather banal. It may seem like a small deficiency, but having them or not makes a lot of difference, especially for those who have already picked through the original chapters several times.

Despite the frenetic action combat system and the exquisite tactical component represented by the introduction of the cute Cioffi, already in 2018 Ni no Kuni 2: The Destiny of a Kingdom could not fully convince us, due to a cloying and excessively childish story , which among other things entrusted downloadable content with the fundamental task of answering the most interesting questions that remained pending. Including both the base game and its DLCs, the Switch version has at least partially remedied the "shortcomings" of the original version, the only pity that on the hybrid the product is affected by technical problems that are difficult to ignore. Despite the desire to renew, F1 25 fits coherently into the path traced by the previous chapters of the series and this is not necessarily a bad thing. Despite the many new features announced and a renewed commitment to the presentation of the career mode, the overall experience remains in line with what has already been seen in recent years. The game mechanics are familiar, the driving model is similar to that of the latest iterations of the brand and the general rhythm of the seasons faithfully follows the consolidated one. The innovations introduced - such as My Team 2.0, the technical restructuring and the new chapter of Braking Point - enrich the package, but do not significantly revolutionize the structure of the game. The result is a solid and complete title, which offers many things to do for a credible and deep experience, but without representing a real break from the past. F1 25 therefore confirms itself as a controlled evolution, rather than a revolution, designed not to disappoint those who play the series continuously and appreciate its now well-established formula.

Company of Heroes 3 is certainly a solid production, whose path follows the path left by its two predecessors without particular deviations. But it's not a big problem that the gameplay has remained substantially unchanged, because that mixture between classic strategy (in greater doses) and simulation continues to work, offering a delicious depth that never leads to more rigorous complexity. The dynamic campaign is the most welcome novelty, and although it is not comparable in terms of richness of options to other congeners or to the 4X, it is an introduction to be fully appreciated. It is in fact an adventure full of fanservice, both in the purely playful (with the Trooper Cards) and narrative fields, restored in Unreal Engine 4 to be even more pleasant from a visual point of view. At the same time, however, various aspects of the combat system and the very structure of the game world clearly indicate the true age of production, which has its roots in an era prior to the advent of the Dragon Engine, with everything that follows. Furthermore, as pleasant as it is to explore the mid-19th century Kyo, the events narrated have some imperfections, both in terms of effectiveness and rhythm, and fail to reach the same emotional peaks of the saga's cornerstones, such as the never forgotten Yakuza Zero.

Since the action RPG borrows many mechanics from games belonging to very different genres, the risk that Stellar Blade would turn out to be a soulless "map" was very high. Paradoxically, however, the aspect of the product that more than any other has been able to convince us is to be found precisely in its solid combat system, which even without reinventing the wheel has given us great satisfaction. On the downside, the same cannot be said of the plot, which is insipid and affected by very predictable twists, and of the exploratory component, which reuses anachronistic and not at all stimulating environmental puzzles to the point of exhaustion. To the aforementioned problems must be added the frequent recycling of bosses carried out mostly by sidequests, a difficulty level that is not always electrifying and a questionable management of saves. In our opinion, these rough edges are attributable to the naivety and above all the inexperience of the SHIFT UP team, which until now had almost exclusively created titles for mobile devices. If nothing else, Stellar Blade gave us a substantial taste of the great potential of the Korean studio, which if it were to take advantage of the feedback could really surprise us starting from its next project.

If his best weapons are to be found in the grafts made to the combat system and in the complex narrative plot, which according to the choices made along the way will stage three unpublished and well-diversified stories on your screens, his greatest weakness is represented by the technical sector. . Whether or not you are familiar with the magical lands of the Fódlan, our advice is to let yourself be bewitched by what we do not struggle to call one of Omega Force's best recent works.

Behind a lovely cartoony art-style, Popcap is once again hiding a great gameplay formula, enriched with new classes and gameplay modes. Even single player is now supported, and that makes GW2 much more than just a "more of the same".

It's an interesting DLC, and the new base building will undoubtedly shift the balances of multiplayer. Still, all thing considered, a single player expansion to beef up the package would've been much appreciated.

Despite the initial misgivings, Fire Emblem Engage has proven to be a solid and articulated strategy, which mixes the fundamental characteristics of the saga with great attention to a rich slew of functional and inspired innovations. With the introduction of the Breach and the numerous mechanics related to synchronization, the guys from Intelligent Systems have indeed added new layers of depth to an already sublime strategic component and to the customization of the party, offering an always adequate and pressing level of difficulty . However, the proverbial - and somewhat unexpected - icing on the cake is represented by a visual system of great impact and more than satisfactory technical performances, which represent a surprising step forward compared to what was seen in Three Houses. Whether or not you know the various heroes recalled from the past, we suggest you make it your own and let yourself be enchanted by a brilliant and varied combat system.
