Super Mario Party Jamboree succeeds in its main goal: offering a varied selection of mini-games and modes capable of providing hours of entertainment for the whole family. Needless to say, as has always been the case for the series, the title is at its best when used in local multiplayer. However, the fun is significantly reduced when a single player is taking on the Nintendo challenges. The numerous customization options of the experience allow you to modulate the relevance of chance and luck within the boards, whose dynamic structure is still capable of constantly destabilizing the progress of the matches. Coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on October 17, 2024, Super Mario Party Jamboree is a candidate to become an excellent ally for autumn evenings, both for families looking for an activity to do in company and for groups of friends ready to organize parties and parties based on a fun form of video game competition.

In Endling: Extinction Is Forever, the urgency of survival and the pangs of hunger skilfully alternate with more relaxed moments and touching discoveries, for an engaging and emotional adventure. The story told by Herobeat Studio is silent, accompanied only by the images evoked by the nose of a fox mother and by the excellent soundtrack. Perhaps also for this reason, the power of the message conveyed by the game is remarkable, able to reach its peak in an epilogue that you will hardly forget. Rather short, the title rests on consistent gameplay, supported by an articulated map and the ability to unlock new abilities for baby foxes. An environmental-based survival adventure that, despite the silence of its narrative, really has a lot to say and teach.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is an extremely conservative sequel, and as a result, it has inherited both its predecessor's greatest strengths and some of its major shortcomings. Indeed, despite the fun ideas CyberConnect2 has come up with to slightly diversify the exploration phases, the free-roaming sequences offered by the Story Mode still seem dull and boring. Already having a solid and highly technical combat system at its disposal, especially for an arena fighter, the Fukuoka studio has therefore focused on the content component, finally equipping the product with a respectable roster and engaging modes that enrich the offering. Among the many mediocre tie-ins that have flooded the market in recent weeks, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is ultimately a flawed gem that any fan of the genre and the license should absolutely give a try.

Halo Wars is greatly linked to the Halo Universe, and for this reason the plot, the character and the unit design are great. But despite this fidelity and a control scheme perfectly functional (the best ever designed for a console RTS), Halo Wars Experience is not that deep, strategically speaking. Dragon Age: The Veilguard arrives at its launch with a proposal that unfortunately shows signs of a development that is, to say the least, troubled, which over the years has seen the project repeatedly change shape and prerogatives. Although Bioware's work has all the pieces of a great role-playing epic, these compose a ludonarrative mosaic that is at times disorganized, to the point of undermining the power of the story and the solidity of the gameplay. When the game shifts into gear, and it does, it is easy to recognize in The Veilguard the best traits of the Dragon Age saga, but it is still difficult to overlook all those asides that, on the other hand, consistently dilute the overall effectiveness of the offering. Even on the gameplay side, we have detected some significant dissonance, although the action "turn" orchestrated by Bioware proves to be functional overall. This play of light and shadow extends to every aspect of the experience, although it is ultimately the positive elements of the whole that triumph. In essence, The Veilguard is certainly not the best chapter in the Bioware saga, but this does not mean it deserves to be labeled as a role-playing game of little value. It is a work that knows how to be satisfying, however we are convinced that, with a more coherent overall vision, it could have given much more.

The combat system is still incredibly fun and at times exhilarating, and the new features introduced to the game world allow for a more satisfying progression than in the past. Given these premises, however, it's truly a shame that the same effort hasn't been put into the narrative, which unfortunately fails to capitalize on the excellent premise of the plot and ends up being a formulaic and lackluster tale. Marathon is not a game for everyone. The hardcore nature of Bungie’s latest effort creates an experience with a high barrier to entry—one that will drive away anyone unwilling to commit to mastering its intricate mechanics, while conversely trapping everyone else in an endless loop of runs. This specific quirk ensures the game will likely never become a mainstream hit or reach record-breaking levels of popularity; yet, there is no doubt that Bungie’s take on the extraction shooter genre is one of the most compelling titles currently available on the market. Anyone with a visceral love for this subgenre should at least give it a chance—or, to put it more aptly, try going for a run.

Despite boasting an excellent cast of characters (with the exception of Asbel himself) and a combat system second only to the more recent Tales of Arise, during the PS3 era Tales of Graces f was not particularly well received by Western audiences, for reasons that we still struggle to fully understand. Although the remaster added relatively little to the original offering, such as the Japanese dubbing and some quality of life improvements, we are of the opinion that the multiplatform re-release of Tales of Graces f was more than necessary. Sixteen years after its debut on Nintendo Wii (a version never marketed on our side of the globe) and thirteen since the launch of the European edition for PlayStation 3, this time the story, the protagonists, the extraordinary combat system and last but not least the soundtrack of Tales of Graces could realistically win over fans of the genre and of Bandai Namco's franchise, which have also increased thanks to the most recent episodes. There is a moment (totally optional) in which you will get lost in a stormy cloud, a prelude to another battle, and where you will breathe an air of profound epicness.
