Jul 31, 2025Ultimately, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a definite improvement on its predecessor and delivers exciting arena fighting befitting of the anime. Story Mode is packed with intense encounters, stylish cutscenes and rewards you constantly. Beyond that, the Training Paths are the only guaranteed source of longevity, with The Path of a Demon Slayer lacking in depth and the versus modes hardly lighting the world on fire.

Jul 31, 2025Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is about as much of a continuation as one should expect from an arena fighter sequel. You’re here for the spectacle, for Demon Slayer, and a game you can pull out to play with friends on a whim and not much more. The fights are extravagant as they are beautiful and for me, that’s more than enough. And I’m sure anyone eyeing this game feels the exact same way.

Aug 8, 2025This is an adventure that places us right where it should be, close to the conclusion of Demon Slayer with the arrival of the Infinity Castle Arc. It does so correctly and respects the lore surrounding our protagonists, something CyberConnect2 is grateful for achieving once again. It's true that it has some flaws, but they're not serious enough to discourage you from recommending the game, especially if you're a fan of this story. Fun, characters, action, and everything you need to prepare for the final battle: all of that is possible, and on your Xbox.

Jul 31, 2025Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is an extremely conservative sequel, and as a result, it has inherited both its predecessor's greatest strengths and some of its major shortcomings. Indeed, despite the fun ideas CyberConnect2 has come up with to slightly diversify the exploration phases, the free-roaming sequences offered by the Story Mode still seem dull and boring. Already having a solid and highly technical combat system at its disposal, especially for an arena fighter, the Fukuoka studio has therefore focused on the content component, finally equipping the product with a respectable roster and engaging modes that enrich the offering. Among the many mediocre tie-ins that have flooded the market in recent weeks, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is ultimately a flawed gem that any fan of the genre and the license should absolutely give a try.
