Mushroom Wars 2 neither revolutionize the RTS genre, nor bring new ideas to it, and simply aims for providing a fun and entertaining experience. So if you are not looking for a very deep gameplay or engaging story, Mushroom Wars 2 would be a very good option for you.

The first part of Lost Records does a great job of building anticipation for the second, thanks to its well-written characters and slow-paced yet engaging story. While there are some issues, both big and small, that need to be addressed, the overall experience remains promising.

Despite some changes, XCOM Chimera Squad cannot be considered a true sequel to the series, and gameplay improvements are not enough to prevent it from becoming repetitive.

Blades of Fire had the potential to be one of the best action-adventure games in recent memory if it had stuck to its unique ideas instead of borrowing from others. Its gameplay mechanics are some of the freshest and most exciting we've seen in years, bringing a much-needed burst of creativity. However, the story, characters, and level design feel uninspired and rely too much on familiar tropes, offering little that feels new or engaging. This imbalance leaves the game exciting to play but disappointing to experience as a whole.

Anger Foot combines fast-paced gameplay, cool visual design, and smart humor and offers an innovative and challenging way to experience its world, proving that even a simple, low-budget indie game can be done correctly.

Despite some technical setbacks, the 3rd release in the Darksiders series is exactly what the fans enjoyed from the previous installments. Its colorful maps and fast-paced battles are enjoyable, but the game clearly isn’t built for two players; most mechanics fall on one person, leaving the other with little to do. Heavy reliance on luck and random card draws, along with a confusing upgrade system, hold it back. In the end, it’s a fast and stylish single-player roguelite that struggles to leave a lasting impression.

Siege of Paris is an overall better package compared to Wrath of Druids, but it's not flawless. It's much closer to the original game in terms of structure, and the level design takes the players back to the classic Assassin's Creed games, although the choices the player makes throughout the gameplay seem entirely pointless eventually.

The latest release from Milestone is a worthy entry in Moto Racing genre, one with great harmony between its components. Monster Energy Supercross 3 is exactly what it wanted to be, no more or no less, and if you are a fan of the genre, you should definitely try it.

The only thing that makes The Blackout Club a half-success is that if you have some friends to team-up with, you will have so much fun.

Steelrising could be a great start if you were hesitant to walk into the Soulslike genre due to the genre’s complications and difficulty levels, and while it doesn’t revolutionize or add anything special to the genre, it still offers a great setting in 1978 Paris and a solid overall experience.

The Gardens Between is a beautiful and innovative journey to the memories; memories of friendship and kindness that will make you wonder. If only the journey was not so short, it could've been one of the best experiences you'll ever have.

Despite some issues, Ion Fury is one the best choices for classic FPS fans, especially if played on PC.

Samurai’s Destiny is a faithful remaster of the legendary Onimusha 2, though it stops short of becoming the full-fledged remake it had the potential to be. With its strong core gameplay and gripping story, a complete visual overhaul could have transformed it into one of the standout action games of the year. With that being said, Samurai’s Destiny still offers the most polished and accessible way to experience Onimusha 2 today, a classic that deserves some attention.

FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.

Neo Cab is very similar to story-based indie titles, but the difference is that it is telling its story way better, and If the gameplay had more depth or if the characters had voice, it could have become an absolute hit.

True Colors takes advantage of the new generation platforms to present the best looking Life is Strange game yet, and as a result the player feels more connected to the characters and the overall story telling quality also improves. But other than this, the latest Deck Nine's game doesn't have much more to offer.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is not just a simple arcade title, as many would have thought; and while the potentials of this genre might be limited, Starlink still has a lot to offer including great combat, wonderful space atmosphere and endless discoveries.

Biomutant has a lot of heart, and really tries to put out some new and exciting ideas, but eventually fails to execute them in the best possible way. It's still a fun game to play, and can become a big franchise, but the devs need to find that killer idea and shift their focus on it.

It is safe to say that there is no other title in the history of video games that offers a similar experience and atmosphere to Heaven's Vault, but the fact that there is no voice acting in a game that relies so heavily on dialogues and conversations, is a huge mistake that costs Heaven's Vault greatly.

Completely Stretchy is easily one of the most fun and innovative indie games of the year. Though it’s a bit shorter than expected and can be challenging for some players, its creativity and engaging gameplay make it a must-try experience that’s well worth your time.

Wastelands episode offers the same solid music and tempo that we expected, but nothing more, and the only reason it can be considered a good episode is because of the way it concluded and opened up a huge potential for the next episode.

However, you are still playing what developers want and no matter what you do, you can’t have an impact on the outcome of the story.

Sparklite is an appealing rouge-like action adventure that can entertain you for a few hours. If it wasn’t a bit short and if the developers gave it more development time, it could have become a AAA title and a main player in its genre.

Untitled Goose Game is a very simple yet entertaining experience that can be wrapped up in less than an hour. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing one hour experience, it can be a good option for you. But if you are looking to get more engaged in action, look elsewhere.

One thing is guaranteed in Sundered, You will die lots and lots and lots of times! But each time you will come back stronger than before. Sundered is a Fast-Paced Metroidvania 2D Action Adventure that throws you in a hell and challenge you to survive and if you are a hardcore action platformer player, you’ll definitely enjoy it even though it suffers from some serious technical issues.

FBC: Firebreak is fast-paced, action-packed, and undeniably fun, but also unfinished. Remedy’s first foray into online multiplayer shows real promise, with a significant investment of resources evident in its core design. However, in its current state, FBC falls short of delivering a complete multiplayer experience, lacking the depth and polish expected from a fully realized title. Still, the foundation is strong, and with the right support, it has the potential to evolve into a standout online FPS, and possibly the start of an exciting new franchise.

Don’t Stop Believin’ is a good conclusion for Guardians of the Galaxy series, even though it still carries almost all issues from the previous episodes. In the end, Guardians of the Galaxy could have become one the best Telltale games if its action and adventure aspects were as good as its story and character development.

Black Ops 7 delivers a rollercoaster ride of the franchise’s recent highs and lows. Without the campaign, it could almost be considered a strong addition to the series. But judging the story mode on its own paints a very different picture. Even with its weakest campaign to date, the game still offers enjoyable multiplayer and an excellent Zombies experience, leaving the overall product balanced right on the borderline. Activision’s willingness to listen to fans and adjust various aspects shows the team is moving in the right direction, if only the narrative hadn’t turned out so poorly.

MotoGP 23 is not a game for everybody, and even the fans of arcade or semi-arcade racing will probably have a hard time enjoying it, even though there are improvements compared to last year's release, it still doesn't offer enough even for the simulation fans to jump on it right away.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a hit and miss co-op experience, doing well in some areas and failing in others, weak AI being the most important of them. On the good side, improved level design and gun play help to save the day. In the end, if you can try the co-op experience with a real person, go for it. Otherwise, you probably want to stay away from it.

The Bard's Tale IV is a mixed potion that can offer a very fun gameplay experience as well as seriously damaging your nerves. It offers more than 30 hours of gameplay for just 35 dollars, and when all elements are working, it can be fun and enjoyable. But then technical issues kick in and along with a very strange save mechanism, ruin your day! The Bard' Tale IV is surely a charismatic title and if you can cope with its flaws, you can have great fun; but it still has a lot of issues to address in order to be considered one of the elite titles of the genre.

The new version of Rise of the Triad is a good remaster but haven’t necessarily made the original game better in any meaningful way.

Kao the Kangaroo might be a solid reboot that walks you down the memory lane for a few hours, but it won't be an experience that stays with you for a long time, just like any other game in this franchise.

Assetto Corsa Competizione offers solid gameplay and accurate car handling, and sadly that's almost the only thing it can offer. The PS4 port is full of bugs and technical issues, and the career mode can use some tweaking as well. All in all, it's obviously not a perfect racing game, but if you are really into cars and have nothing more on your hands to play with, it worth a shot.

Milestone's strategy of developing moto racers after moto racers, and focusing on quantity rather than quality, seems to have shut the innovation door on them; and although Ride 3 is definitely a better title than the previous Milestone releases, it still has a long way to go to be considered an elite racing title.

Looking at and playing through FIFA 18, you’ll always have mixed feelings about it. The game is still very fun, but there’s almost zero improvements from the last year’s release. FIFA needs new blood, and needs it now, as PES is improving fast.

Despite huge changes, Earth Defence Force: Iron Rain remains loyal to EDF roots, and this is great news for the fans of the series. On the other hand, the graphical upgrades help to convince new players to join up as well. Iron Rain still needs improvements to be considered an elite action title, but it is arguably the best EDF ever made.

Outlast Trials tries to mix its traditional gameplay with online elements, and the result is neither revolutionary nor entertaining, making it more of a spin-off to the original series rather than a cornerstone for future releases.

King Arthur: Legion IX tries to implement Knight’s Tale’s successful formula in a more compact format, resulting in a hit and miss Tactical RPG experience that shines in areas such as turn-based combat and art design but comes up short in story, sound design, and voice acting.

Resident Evil 3 remake is not necessarily bad, but it is absolutely disappointing. Maybe the bar set by RE2 remake was too high, but there is no denying that RE3 remake is not what it should have been. The balance between action and puzzles is gone and RE3 focuses too much on being an action game. Nemesis also appears very briefly, which is a huge disappointment. RE3 is not a bad game, but it's not a classic Resident Evil either.

Despite being stuck in development hell for years, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin more or less achieves what it meant to and poses itself as a history course for the FPS genre by taking the older gamers to the past and bringing the past to the newer gamers.

Amnesia: Rebirth carries you until the end with its beautiful story, and even though its level design is not the best and the game gets repetitive in its second half, it is still an enjoyable experience worth your time and money.

RAD offers a different post apocalyptic experience, and it's colorful, cell-shade visuals mixed with great 80s electronic music are things that make it unique when compared to titles like Fallout or Wasteland. On the negatives side, you have to deal with its unbalanced difficulty and repetitive gameplay; but in general, you'll probably have a good time with Rad.

DESYNC is fast-paced and challenging and if you are a fan of classic shooters like doom, you’ll probably enjoy it. The visuals can get repetitive quickly, and gameplay doesn’t add anything new to what we’ve already seen. But fast-paced and very challenging action, mixed with tons of different enemies and a great soundtrack, are enough to keep fans of the genre busy for a while.

In the end, Assassins Creed 3 is one of the best remakes of this generation, and although changing gameplay mechanics in a remake is not something usual, Ubisoft's decision to take this risk pays off.

Infliction: Extended Cut is basically an upgraded version of Infliction that was released back in 2018. There are lots of new content in the new version such is new endings, new challenges and tweaked puzzles. The gameplay and engaging atmosphere are still as good and offer one of the most horrifying experiences ever.

While Ghost Warrior Contracts is nothing extraordinary and does not evolve the genre in any particular way, it still offers a pleasant experience to both fans of the series and the genre.

You can feel Sega's spirit everywhere in this arcade Olympics simulator, and even though the 18 different included sports does not offer much gameplay depth, it's still super fun to play especially if you can hook up with some other players online.

The latest entry in the Alien series tries a new formula by combining an isometric camera and strategy elements, and even though the gameplay part of the game is entertaining and engaging, the repetitive missions, flat story, and technical issues prevent it from reaching its full potential.
