Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is exactly how you adapt years of tradition to the current design formulae. The game is living proof that each and every change is a perfect chance to take a step forward. In that specific sense, the risks that Nintendo undertook have certainly paid off: the ninth Pokémon generation will certainly be one to be talked about for years. Paldea is not about representing a culture, but those of us who live within it. I can only be proud to belong to a place that is seen with so much beauty from the outside. Borderlands 4 is the redemption the saga needed - Gearbox has listened to the community and fixed everything that needed fixing. HEXWORKS has managed to take the best and the worst of the legendary From games, but adding new mechanics that make the title look fabulous. We have fascinating bosses, large areas to explore and enemies that I would not want to see even in my worst nightmares. Without a doubt, we are facing one of the great surprises of 2023 and it has most likely established the basis of some mechanics for future Soulslike-type titles.- Areajugones

Although the precedent set by the first game was remarkable, Ni no Kuni II manages to position itself as a worthy continuation of what is already one of the most interesting sagas in the current role playing scene. Level-5 has created a game that stands out from the competition with its own personality. For lovers of Studio Ghibli, you will find in this game a jewel to continue dreaming about.- Areajugones

Donkey Kong is back with yet another remaster that remains very faithful to the original games. The level design, collectibles and many challenges make this game quite an enjoyable experience. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD main game modes offer a fair share of replayability, especially to new players that didn't experience the classic take on the game. This new Donkey Kong remaster definitely checks all the boxes.- Areajugones

The remake of Silent Hill 2 honors the great audiovisual work that Konami released in 2001, maintaining a high level and improving many of its most distinctive features. Silent Hill 2 was an essential title more than 20 years ago, and it remains so today with this magnificent remake.- Areajugones

Pentiment is, despite its scarce and more than simple gameplay and its few extra hours, a game that shines with its own light in a year with great releases. The new Obsidian manages to hook you with its history and all its twists, but without forgetting its social, political and religious context; Rich in nuance and depth. An obligatory recommendation for fans of both RPG's and narrative adventures, a jewel that you cannot miss.- Areajugones

Hyper Light Drifter: Special Edition is a more complete adventure that will captivate us not only due to its art, gameplay and story told by means of images, but also thanks to the deeper, real meaning that comes from projecting the heart disease of its creator.- Areajugones

The Command & Conquer saga was crying out for a remastering and is finally in our hands. A reissue of the classic RTS where the possibilities and hours of fun seem endless under a careful interface and a perfect regression to a saga that already has twenty-five years behind it.- Areajugones

Intelligent Systems and Koei Tecmo have managed to create a game that - even if it juggles with several complex playable systems - manages to find a great balance between them to deliver one of those solid, charismatic experiences that fans will remember for years.- Areajugones

FIFA 18 is probably the best football simulator right now. Although it is a little bit iterative and still has some issues with the goalkeepers, this game is more polished than ever, it has amazing graphics and a soundtrack that fits perfectly the game. FIFA 18 also has the official licenses of most of the great football leagues, which is wonderful.- Areajugones

Koral is a video game of exploration and puzzles that deals with the love of water. The title brilliantly manages to be a unique experience accessible to everyone, not only for its bizarre development on a sailboat in the sea itself, but for its invitation from the playable and mechanical level. Everyone will be able to participate and enjoy this particular submarine odyssey.- Areajugones

With some gameplay systems that are more polished than ever in the saga, Assassin's Creed Valhalla rises as a worthy continuation of the stele that Origins created a few years ago and that, in the other hand, respects the essence that the franchise has always preserved. inside itself. Therefore, we are facing a title that will be able to captivate both the most veteran players and those who enjoy the new formulas of the series.- Areajugones

The long wait has finally come to an end, and it was well worth it: Assassin's Creed Shadows is an incredible experience by Ubisoft taking place in a beautiful feudal Japan. The game boasts an incredible number of activities and side quests which considerably enlarge the game's overall length, and even complement the main plot adding some relevant data. Yasuke and Noe are very different characters, especially when it comes to batlle, but in the end the two of them are equally enjoyable. The icing on the cake comes from both the visual aspect as well as the sound design, which definitely help providing the most immersive of experiences.- Areajugones

Pokémon Pokopia represents a sublime translation of Pokémon’s core themes into the settlement management genre. It features an overwhelming amount of content and countless customization possibilities—something essential for a game that aims to honor the extensive legacy of Game Freak. As a standalone spin-off, it succeeds in every sense, but as the possible beginning of a new saga, it demonstrates virtually infinite potential.- Areajugones

Pokémon Sword and Shield is a game that knows how to keep intact the inheritance it receives from previous titles of the saga and, at the same time, introduces a series of new elements that will lead the franchise into the future. In an attempt to be a gateway for everyone, Game Freak's new project will please both newcomers and more experienced players because, although some sections of this new installment have received less attention, it still has a content which will be attractive enough for every coach to find his place in the new region of Galar.- Areajugones

Morbid Metal aims to be one of those games that stands out more for how it plays than for what it tells. Its real-time character-swapping system is what truly sets it apart, and if it manages to maintain variety and depth over the long term, it could become one of the most interesting roguelikes of its generation. A good Pokémon 'copy' that manages to pull off its own personality through the battle system but that, at the same time, carries an obvious problem: it really tries to be an MMORPG, yet in the end it stays as an open world with 'ghost' characters. Even so, overall it is a remarkable turn-based RPG that has a lot of potential. [Early Access Score = 75]- Areajugones
