Marathon demands a great deal of patience and time before you begin to truly enjoy it, but as the hours pass, it manages to transform into an obsession. Bungie’s signature touch is evident in its gameplay, as well as in the construction of its universe and its difficulty. It stands unique among extraction shooters, yet its high barrier to entry—along with the constant dedication it demands—won't win over everyone.

Journey to the Savage Planet is a game whose greatest virtue is that it manages to generate a constant feeling of discovery in the player. Both its gameplay, its level design and its plot are oriented to highlight the most fundamental experience that must exist in every adventure: the one that conveys the feeling that, on certain occasions, the trip must be more important than the traveler.

Gylt is a worthwhile adventure not only for the story, but also because of the challenges it puts in front of us. Detective Pikachu Returns is a fantastic mix of cases to solve, Pokémon and Pikachu's charismatic figure. Ghostrunner 2 is, above all, a great video game. Strictly speaking, it is a pleasant sequel that represents a noticeable improvement in plot, playability, visuals and sound; an achievement that is, due to the quality of its predecessor, a milestone in itself. However, its profound technical shortcomings, as well as the misinterpretation of what made the original experience so genuine and fresh, keep it from transcending as much as the first, although it continues to be a highly recommended product.

The 15-year wait for the saga has been good for this brand new installment, as it has a depth of gameplay worthy of the best RPGs of the moment. Its great customization of each character's play style is very addictive and its artistic style and setting are beautiful, but it is also weighed down by a story with good ideas but improvable execution and an exploration that does not stand out.

Glowmade has nailed the essentials: a fun, addictive co-op with a solid foundation to grow. The audiovisual presentation is superb, with animations that rival Adult Swim quality and outstanding voice acting work. Combat is accessible yet satisfying, and the dungeon creator has the potential to turn this into a phenomenon if the community responds. It's not perfect. Progression can get somewhat tedious at specific points, the base scenario variety might fall short in the long run, and the camera has its occasional issues. But these are minor gripes in an experience that, as a whole, works wonderfully.

A spectacular staging, outstanding in every aspect, reminiscent of some great classic adventures and ideal for any survival horror fan. Vermila Studios sets an enviable starting point with Crisol: Theater of Idols, only improvable in a few areas.

Although it may grate on the most nostalgic players, the truth is that Contra: Operation Galuga is a good reinterpretation of the original classic with enough new features to keep things interesting. The story mode does its job, although it slows down the frantic pace of the game, while the extra modes are a nice addition to get more out of it and satisfy the more demanding players. Meanwhile, for those who are looking for a lesser challenge, they can always switch to an easier game mode. Contra: Operation Galuga delivers on its adaptation, so let's hope that they don't stop here and continue with new reinterpretations of one of the most iconic sagas in the world of video games.

Little Nightmares III will make you fall in love with its twisted world. Through nightmarish villains, Supermassive Games delivers another great entry for a franchise with a very distinct visual identity. While there is room for improvement in certain ally AI situations and environmental exploration, Little Nightmares III more than accomplishes its goal: to provide a nightmare you’ll want to dream about.

Although it features some almost impossible challenges against the AI, it has hours of fun deciding which strategies you should use that are enough reason to be a highly worthy game.

Fort Solis is an intriguing narrative experience that submerges players into a well-crafted mystery. The focus on character-driven storytelling, combined with episodic progression, makes it akin to immersing oneself in a suspenseful TV series. While lacking traditional action and grappling with technical hiccups, the game's unique approach to storytelling shines through.

Tarsier Studios introduces Little Nightmares 2 with kind of a continuist approach yet still managing to surprise us. The game is backed by an improved narrative, exquisite gameplay and an excellent design that, altogether, portray an experience whose only flaw is but a battle system that does not merge well with the rest of the elements in play.

Probably a remastered edition was not needed now, but for those of you who have not had the pleasure of enjoying both games, it is a great version with a fair price. Otherwise, if you have already played them, better wait for a better deal because they haven’t improved very much compared to the older versions.
