    For a while Blizzard had me playing an awesome game. It was already hard but still fun to play and enjoyable. After this latest patch. I feel scammed, cheated! If i could ask for my refund i would asap. I've already uninstalled the game off my PS5. I was a maxed rolled fully geared sorcerer and i was already a glass cannon then they went ahead and completely torpedoed the class andFor a while Blizzard had me playing an awesome game.     The game could be better; in fact, it had all the potential to be the best Diablo ever made. However, it's impossible to overlook the fatal flaws that plague the game, such as constant disconnection issues and lag. Moreover, we paid an exorbitant price for the deluxe edition and can barely enjoy what the game has to offer due to the developer's own errors. The endgame content is tedious,The game could be better; in fact, it had all the potential to be the best Diablo ever made. However, it's impossible to overlook the fatal flaws that plague the game, such as constant disconnection issues and lag. Moreover, we paid an exorbitant price for the deluxe edition and can barely enjoy what the game has to offer due to the developer's own errors. The endgame content is tedious, slow-paced, and repetitive.

    But what has been most bothersome so far is the patch 1.1.0a released on July 18th. The developer treats us as if we're naive by applying nerfs to all classes, essentially saying, "let's throw away the 200 hours this person has invested in the game." Is it really plausible that a company the size of Blizzard couldn't foresee that characters would become too powerful? This could have easily been observed in testing, where the developers have access to every item, class, and level to evaluate.

    After years of development, the team couldn't predict this outcome?

    The solution would be so simple: creating new difficulty levels for the game, introducing difficulties V, VI, VII... This would be far better than wasting players' invested time in the game, considering that we invest not only our money but also a significant portion of our leisure time in becoming stronger, not weaker, in the game. Over the past few weeks, it's been clear that world bosses have weak damage and ridiculously low health bars. New difficulty levels were necessary, not decreasing the power of characters. This update has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. With over 250 hours in the game, I no longer feel any desire to play after this update.    … Expand

    Patch ruined the game. Really enjoyed it while it lasted. It’s like blizzard rolled out this patch to spite its user-base. The nerfs didn’t even satisfy the goals of the developers to reduce need for things like crit & vulnerable damage.     I never played any of the other Diablo games, so I was pretty hyped to discover that 4 was fun during the beta, as I really enjoyed theory crafting my builds (love sprinting through enemies like with Boulderdash from Outriders) so imagine my surprise when I discover I paid $70 to be a glorified beta tester. Nothing I did mattered, because new content is locked to seasons, and everythingI never played any of the other Diablo games, so I was pretty hyped to discover that 4 was fun during the beta, as I really enjoyed theory crafting my builds (love sprinting through enemies like with Boulderdash from Outriders) so imagine my surprise when I discover I paid $70 to be a glorified beta tester. Nothing I did mattered, because new content is locked to seasons, and everything got nerfed! Hopefully one of two things happens, they issue refunds to everyone who feels wronged by their decision making, or they revert the 1.1 patch changes. I understand nerfs are needed for the long term health of the game, but what about NOW? It was already a struggle to get through the endgame content without the cookie cutter meta builds, and now you just overall take more damage and do less damage. Personally, I was also pretty upset with the whole "make a new character for the seasons" thing, but I got over it when I realized I could just play different classes. Now my motivation to play has just been sapped completely. Guess it is my fault though, buying this game given the reputation Blizzard has built for themselves. Really just mind boggling to me that they know how their damage formula works and how the game progresses, and they still decided to make these changes. Makes me wonder what their internal comms look like. Do the actual programmers get any input? Do we get any input (lol)? I don't know. What I do know is first impressions matter, and if this is how they operate when bringing new content, I think the negative response from the community is warranted.… Expand

    The bottom line is, the only positive reviews this game got were when it originally came out. The game was great. It had what ever player was expecting. Fast paced, leveling was great, builds that were decent and being able to clear Nightmare Dungeons quickly. Fast forward 48 hours before the Season 1 release, the game got completely obliterated. It is NOT the same game that came out aThe bottom line is, the only positive reviews this game got were when it originally came out. The game was great. It had what ever player was expecting. They focused on stuff that was completely irrelevant. They should have focused on fixing resistances which they have said are clearly broken. The 0 review bomb that it has been getting over the past 24 hours is rightfully deserved. I think I should be entitled to a refund based on such a hardcore bait and switch tactic.     TBH I put too much faith in "you think you do, but you don't" "Don't you guys own phones" modern Blizz. They have continued to sacrifice player fun for profit without realizing the truth that all of the good will for the company was from when they made games that were fun to play. I fell in to this nostalgia trap. Loved D1 bought it the week it came out. Loved D2 drove 200 miles to get a copy on launch day. More or less enjoyed D3, launch was terrible but it at least felt like they were addressing players issues with the game, love the current seasons.

    Basically the way they decided to "fix" their lack of fun endgame content was simply to make it harder to get there in the first place.
    I have seen a lot of people trying to justify the massive nerf to all classes by pointing out that the S1 mechanic will make up for that. . . I would be inclined to agree if this didn't effect the Eternal realm. Seasonal content should be optional not mandatory.    … Expand

    The story was good , after level 50 you have same dungeons to farm just a bit harder , classes are either way to strong or just paper weak , a total disaster from a huge game developer , the game keeps getting changes per week , so you cant focus on a single build

Nightmare dungeons can be reset infinitely without consuming sigils and what did the devs do but removed the only fun affix on a dungeon which is Magic Find! The most recent patch (season 1 hasn't even started yet) completely halted player progression and gutted build diversity. They made all gear worse, all builds worse, all defenses worse, all events worse, and all XP gains worse. They nerfed the class that is already at the very bottom of the tier lists to oblivion. They also introduced new aspects and uniques that bring absolutely nothing to the game. Do not waste your time or your money. Trust me, I have wasted both putting my faith in Activision Blizzard. Feels like a money grab to make people buy battlepass levels to level quicker. This company makes me sick tbh.     I was told there would be endgame activities. There were, but they were removed by way of excessive nerfing and meddling by dickcheese sampling developers. Dickcheese is slang for smegma, which is found under unsanitary foreskin.

I leveled a Druid to 100 and a rogue to 87 or something close, and was looking forward to doing a barbarian or a sorc during the season. But now, I don’t even want to touch sorc and the overall changes make me not even the slightest excited to play barb. The new uniques are literally a joke, and it is pretty disrespectful that Blizzard would throw something like this out to the fans after such a successful launch (you’re welcome blizz)… Expand

    The developers have no respect or insight to the community. They don't know their own game, so I decided to quit. May come back, but very unlikely, if they decide to make this game good again by listening to the community.

    D4 story is nice, sound is nice, but that's all, no desire to play every day, and the last patch destroyed the desire to play at all
    Uninstalled this pile of crap, there are enough other games, BG3 around the corner...

    The game seemed to have potential until they announced the patch notes for season 1. No fixes for the real issues plaguing the game today and nerfs that will cause the casual player even more grind time to get levels and gear. I won’t be playing anymore until they start listening to the player base (with a focus on casuals who bring the most revenue to Blizzard’s bottom line.

    Instead of addressing class bugs like the minion necro and making it more playable, Blizzard seems to be more focused on turning the game into a grind-fest due to the live service model.

    It's a bit disappointing as players would prefer improvements in quality of life and bug fixes rather than increasing the grindiness of the game.

Constant rubber banding, lack of dungeon diversity it gets old fast. The latest patch has just dragged out the mechanics further for future seasons.     Absolute garbage. 1-50 is pretty fun just skill and campaign wise, but falls SHARPLY off after that. No reason to loot anything, all special items are complete garbage for 95% of the builds. Feels like we’re in a paid beta. Really horrible advertising tactics. Do Not Buy!!!

More bugs than a picnic basket at the park. The patches are always to fix bugs and nerf characters in some way. Please stay away from this game there are many other options. There is even news to where the developer themselves said to play another game while playing this one. To current players I apologize but nerfing cool down reduction was the one for me. It felt slow as is already and reducing cool down reduction was simply just to hurt the players and waste more time. There was absolutely no reason for this nerf because it was not powerful just made the game play bearable to play the least.… Expand

Further, the couple of patches that came out were all just bug fixes & # adj that should've been fixed during beta.     Blizzard doesn't seem to understand their own damage buckets. Additive damage buffs accomplish very little. Multiplicative buckets are very powerful.     So, in a world where the community wants more content that's less grindy or repetitive, the devs enforced a patched that does exactly that.
    Now builds are playability are dictated by the buff/nerfs patches.
    I guess I can find more diversity in PoE/Last Epoch.

    This game is terrible. I don't think the develop team know how to run a Diablo game. They simply find out everything that make feel great when playing the game, like strong build, fast level up method, good farming place, and then nerf or remove them ALL.

    Do NOT buy this game for console yet if you haven’t yet. The controls are currently broken and they don’t seem to have any intention on fixing it along with obvious advantages that comes with playing with a Keyboard and Mouse instead of a controller.

There is hardly any sort of real support responses on the console side of the support forums; it’s just an overwhelming amount of valid yet repeated complaints or the top 1% who still aren’t playing but occupying their time by telling everyone else how their opinions aren’t valid since their experience wasn’t affected since they already spent all day everyday since pre-release getting perfect gear and solo’ing Uber Lilith without the nerfs.

Any enjoyment that i was getting out of the game was killed. I seriously cannot wrap my mind around how they thought that 99% of the changes in this patch were ok. It's unbelievable.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
