    And last. i want a fun and relax from casual blizzard's ARPG, but there is stupid farm, slow leveling and progression, no new content (that they've done in 1.1 it is not a new content, its sneer to community and funs), and bugs.     This game is litteraly robbery. They have an awful 40-50 actual skin tiers and the rest give you either little to no platinum or some underpowered ashes that give you single-digit percentage buffs you have to unlock via level. They nerf every class every patch except for Sorc and Necro because casuals play them the most and just want to bank from those players alone. The Barb is nearlyThis game is litteraly robbery.     They turned an arpg looter power fantasy series into a greed grind. This game is good at stripping you of any sense of feeling accomplished, and the money from your wallet with bloated prices for cosmetics that you don't really see very well in an isometric game anyway, season passes which is a grind ON TOP OF stripping your accrued progress on you to force you to do it all again.

Even Diablo 4 designers don't play the game, what do you expect out of the game, they made the game so frustrating, and bugs everywhere, sometimes you don't even realize that's a bug or it's meant to be like that. tbh, I enjoyed the game when it first came out, but a recent patch made me feel like they didn't care what users thought, the only thing they cared is how they can drive users to stay in the game longer, so they made the game harder without thinking what negative impact the patch will cause to the game, they fixed bursting venom, now my rogues left.… Expand

Super boring. The story is mid but mind numbing a couple acts in a not interesting to follow. The background art is utter trash. The world map is huge but its the same boring background of desert and plains. A lot of running and wasting time in the same boring environment. You never feel strong during the leveling process.

    I have been waiting for years for this to squad with the boys, but this is just garbage. Not even close to D3.

    I would refund if I could but you cant refund after 2 hours played. Blizz is officially dead. Soulless corporation that only wants your dollars. Buy this game if you hate yourself and the gaming community and want to buy bobby another yacht.    … Expand

    Levels 20-55 or 60 give players a false sense that this is leading somewhere when really, you've essentially played all there is to play by the time you're 60% leveled up.

    This is an enormous problem. I have a level 63 seasonal Rogue, my highest character, because I got bored at 61 on my original Rogue, couldn't get past 55 on Druid because it bored me, and a 45 Sorceress I just don't    Levels 20-55 or 60 give players a false sense that this is leading somewhere when really, you've essentially played all there is to play by the time you're 60% leveled up.

    This is an enormous problem. I have a level 63 seasonal Rogue, my highest character, because I got bored at 61 on my original Rogue, couldn't get past 55 on Druid because it bored me, and a 45 Sorceress I just don't want to continue leveling when they want me to run vanilla nightmare dungeons for 10s to 100s of hours to get from 50-100.

    I don't know how they thought Season 1's gems would change the game in such a way people would be happy about the battle pass or bring people back to the game.

    Then the devs literally punish players instead of enhancing fun with their patches.

    Then they show two devs that are so bad they don't even *accidentally* use core skills or potions like a 5-year-old would if they button mashed, dying in T1 at lvl 55 had to turn off the comments on the YouTube video because Blizzard themselves pushed the negative narrative that devs are disconnected from the games they work on.    … Expand

Even if those bugs get fixed the Quaiity of Life in this game is terrible, its not fun to play (See: Mount issues, Crowd control, Offscreen attacks, On-Death effects). And worst of all, if you are willing to tolerate all of this the grind isD4 is so bad. There are a number of problems and bugs that haven't been fixed in months (See: Resistances, Crashing/Performance, Loading screens).     Not of a word of a lie I have insomnia, the type that makes it hard to fall asleep, and diablo for literally put me to sleep at 8:00 - repetitively and consistently. I'm actually surprised they released this game, let alone releasing this game in the state that it is. The release was one of the scummiest things that I've ever seen a blizzard do, as everybody thought that the battle pass was going to be immediately available to get rewards from day one! But of course no they don't want you to experience MORE things at once so they have to do MORE work COULD YOU MAKE THE GAME ACTUALLY INTERESTING, SO THEY HAD TO STRING IT OUT AND LET YOU BEAT THE GAME AND THEN THEY GAVE YOU THE BATTLE PASS. The battle pass mind you doesn't give you enough to buy the next battle pass nor does it allow you to buy anything of use in the store! Not to mention the dark pattern that exists for controller players where you will automatically click on it by pressing a which is so unfortunate, greedy, and disgusting that they are refusing refunds for the token. Bobby Kotick is the worst thing that has ever happened to gaming. Activision is the worst thing that has ever happened to getting so for them the two forces to be combined is the most shamefully disgusting and scummy company to ever exist. I'm just glad that while I was playing the game I never saw anybody with any purchased cosmetics, and the one time that I did I made fun of the guy. He actually apologized and told me it wasn't worth it lmao. I'm so sad to see the state of gaming nowadays and I'm so happy to see that Baldur's Gate 3 is going to kick the s*** out of you guys for years to come.     However, I finished the Season 1 Journey. I got my final reward, I opened it, then I quit.

    300 hundred hours into trying to find a way to love this game and you dump this crappy reward on all of the people who where foolish enough to hold out hope and keep the faith that something good would come and actually finish it.

    The lies, the manipulation that you try to pull over on the fans, the customer, the people who spent money on something that was supposed to be good. Then you have the nerve, the audacity to say: "It's okay to not play the game" "It's okay to stop playing" Well no s**t sherlock! You already have all our money! So why would you give two s**t's about us, the costumer, the fans?

    Do you want to have a real example of "Play your way" "Do what you want" "Do anything anywhere to whomever or what ever you want to"

    In general, the game is very poor, the story is not bad, but the endgame is one of the worst things I've seen in my more than 30 years of playing video games. Many things can be said, but it can be summed up by the fact that it is an extremely boring game, with mechanics designed by children. It seems like a game from 15 years ago, with no content and no motivation to keep playing.

    4. Stash. The game has 5 stash-tabs for 10 possible characters. 5 tabs. 5. 5! This is a joke. I can't even create a twink in this game, because there is no space for him.

    I don't know why I still hoped that Blizzard could manage to make a decent game, but even this time, it's a total letdown. The latest patch is the confirmation that they don't even know which direction to take for improvements. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't buy it, as I won't buy any of their games blindly anymore. Embarrassing for a company of this size.

Hardcore characters dying to off screen attacks. Buyer beware. Not sure how much the Blizzard paid the Critic Reviewers....

    Diablo 4 should rather be named as "Hell 4 U". It was funny to play at the start, but lack of content, lack of boss variety, short story, awful season just destroying the experience.
    In case new bosses, activities and season content added I'd likely to get back.
    For now, not playing and even regreting buying it.

    The dev, secretly made a game for the pro's, and forgot to tell us. Uber lilith is so hard, I have quit the game simply because she has so much damn aoe and one kills, i tried changing my character to a better build online and i lose even worse! my track record against her is probably me 0 uber lilith 100 and im sick of it. seems fairly obvious that they arnt thinking of the players anymore.

    "Professional" critics could not be more opposite than regular player reviews. This game is not part of the Diablo series in my opinion. The skill tree is so boring that it doesn't even matter any more (i tried both the wizard and the druid). Who on Earth thought that denying players the basic freedom of using WASD controls was a good idea? Apparently, the developers are either blissfully unaware of the gaming landscape or simply sadistic, reveling in the suffering of players with arthritis, carpal tunnel, or any other disability that makes traditional controls difficult.

    But oh, don't worry, because apparently having control options isn't supposed to translate to good gameplay. No, according to the masterminds behind Diablo 4, we're all just supposed to adapt to their archaic control scheme and be grateful for the privilege of enduring their nonsensical design choices. Because who needs player accessibility and comfort when you can frustrate your audience to the point of tears?

    And let's not even get started on the price tag. $130 for a game that's stuck in the past, not even bothering to acknowledge the basic standards of user-friendly controls? It's as if the developers are actively trying to rob players blind while simultaneously flipping them the middle finger. Congratulations, Blizzard, you've managed to outdo yourselves in creating a product that redefines the meaning of buyer's remorse.

    In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a catastrophic failure on every conceivable level. Its lack of WASD support is a slap in the face to gamers with disabilities, and the notion that control options are somehow irrelevant to good gameplay is mind-bogglingly absurd. Save your hard-earned money and precious time for a game that actually respects its players and embraces modern gaming conventions.     The game is repetitive and boring. The loot is boring. Mob level scaling to yours every time you level feels like a punishment for playing. The uniques are uninteresting (I play necromancer, so we pretty much have 0 good uniques, idk about other classes). The only part of the game that actually felt good, was the combat, but even that with all the constant nerfs feels *hit now. These guysThe game is repetitive and boring. The loot is boring. The uniques are uninteresting (I play necromancer, so we pretty much have 0 good uniques, idk about other classes). The only part of the game that actually felt good, was the combat, but even that with all the constant nerfs feels *hit now. These guys are clueless man...

    I'm done. Uninstalled and not coming back for season 1. I cannot keep hoping for these idiots, who are directing the game, to wake the **** up. I mean the game is getting worse and worse, when there is a TON of feedback on the game from players everywhere you look, but instead they make the game harder, so you have to spend more time in this **** that they call a game.

    At the end of the day, games are supposed to be FUN and in the current state of the game, Diablo IV is NOT a fun game to play. I hope there is more people who stop playing the game, just so Blizzard get a wake up call and start implementing things that people are actually asking for.
    The customer should get the product the he wants, not be shoved a mouthfull of horse*hit that they think you deserve.

    I think games should be developed by people who know how to play games.

    First of all, why the f do i have to choose fatsxxx if i want to play Druid or BB? and where the f is the content? they only create new skins which let them earn money directly but they dont give a xxxx about creating the contents.     Blizzard deploys nonsensical patches that break the underlying mechanics of the game and in doing so ensures that it has no long-term playability. Why would anyone invest time in this game if they're just going to casually break whatever you've built to juice some internal KPI with a complete disregard for whether or not it makes the actual game fun to play?

    I got suckered, played the Beta invite thinking everything bad about it would be sorted by full release time. I've played every Diablo from the original and didn't realise Immortal was where they wanted to eventually go. Ditched that game because of the constant recycling of money grabbing seasons. If you know about Diablo Immoral, be assured this is the PC version. My friends have since been a lot luckier than I have with drops and have progressed past me. I feel like the welfare member of the group, even though I have sunk many more hours into the game. The ‘chance of drop’ system is archaic and extremely unimaginative. You might actually have to do something new Blizzard other than make prettier dead people on the screen and invent newer and more enjoyable systems so that people can play together.

    The game play sucks. Items and upgrades suck. The 1.1.0 nerf made everything even worse. Playing until lvl 50 or so before that was *kinda* fun but the entire game is horribly boring now. If you like just randomly massing your left mouse button with no brain activity whatsoever - this is the game for you!

    I have never played a game that I dislike so much. I could not find any reason to play it again. Cannot believe it is from Blizzard. Good experience from level 1 to 50 though. Then nothing good from level 50 to 100 lv.
    Boring classes. Only one build from each class. No new class added yet.

    Very low leveling and also very bad multiplayer... it's amazing that there isn't a more elaborate matchmaking. if you don't have any friends to play with you you are forced to harass every player you come across and send out individual invites. it would have been much simpler for Blizzard to create a matchmaking system for nightmare dungeons.     I initially defended the game because everyone was piling onto it before even reaching the end. HOWEVER, I suffered MASSIVE lag while living in the same county as Blizzard HQ and their servers. Now that the game has been out for a while I feel absolutely comfortable in writing Blizzard completely off. I'd sworn off Activision and had hoped they didn't get their claws into Blizzard enough to ruin them, but I was wrong. This is a shell of a game with not much content, near no difficulty compared to ARPG's that are much MUCH better.

    Between the dark UI forcing so many players to activate their battlepasses from their version of the game they bought to the lack of content and the poor programming by these developers who seem amatuer at best, the game is a hard pass and needed another couple of years of development or to be handed off to developers that know how to design ARPG's for the 20th century.

    RIP Blizzard. Maybe Microsoft can resurrect y'all.    … Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
