    Horrible Game. The development team learned NOTHING from diablo3. Horrible gear balancing, does not scale with levels. horrible maps, same layout all the time with very little diversity. Horrible character builds, no choice in looks or appearance. Horrible game play, same thing all the time.     I have played all the Diablo games except Immortal ( no one should ever play that), and this game gave me hope that they would undo the damage they did to the Diablo Franchise with Three. The most fun I have had on this game, were the beta weekends. I streamed 140 hours of Diablo 4 on launch, even dyeing to a glitch during the race to 100 ... 4 times in a row on Hardcore.

I don’t know why I had to open new char without even completing the first one and doing same things again and again for the new season..     After the patch game and some animations got very slow, you can’t even kill basic mobs, feels like you are beating a wall.

    No good lots, not enought stashes, I spent time checking items more than I play game, so boring. I was very excited for the game and cross platform, they said would be better with the new season but all got worse.

    We get in dungeon and I don’t even see my char, in the end we don’t even see who dealt the most damage, killed most etc. game is so dull. It can be fixed but there will be no players left till they fix. I am so sorry. I will not do the same things again and again for nothing.    … Expand

    I paid 150$ for the ultimate edition and the game is completely unplayable since the last patch dropped. My barb is so nerfed to the ground that the game became completely unenjoyable after investing countless hours. The developers are brain dead idiots who have no respect for our time and energy spent on the game.

    Not playable after 70 lvl. Terrible end game loop. No chase items. No crafting. No agency on the contents and rewards. Bad itemization. Forced builds by devs. Buggy and imbalanced tuning.

    I played D3 for years and now - after a short breake of D4 - again, cause there is no competition. And I dont blame them for season - i know its starts new and i liked it.
    But ... THE BIG MISTAKE: You cant begin from start like in D3 and bring thinks the next few years. I want them from beginning in D4 and then something new. So there is no    No Endgame like in D3 - So no Meta race:

    Total absence of end game content. Lags and the fact that people were thrown there as testers.

    I would forgive everything though and even go play there Season 1, but Blizzard decided to release a patch. So I spend 200 hours to make proper build, I polished it and day after they just said it is too strong so I can go f... myself and try something else. No buffs of other classes so they would be viable, no increase of difficulty level... no. We just release global nerf and make game harder, so you wont reach level 100 too early as it will kill all the interest.

    I don't get to buy many games per year, so this particularly hurts. Spent my money on a game that I was able to play for a month before it was destroyed. Not a single person from my player list still plays this game. All have went back to games that are 10 years older. Complete waste of money on a bait and switch product.

    Just as many others have already said - The game is pretty but also soulless and boring. The non-stop waves and hordes of enemies isn't fun in the slightest bit. You just mash and click buttons until the vague and mostly indistinguishable moving objects surrounding you stop moving. What's even the point of blue items? And really, even the yellow items aren't usually all that special.
    Diablo I and II were insanely fun games. There was a formula that worked so well that people literally played them for years and even decades (D2). DIII was ok-ish but everyone knew D2 was better. How can the developers at Blizzard be so obtuse? Why make moving through the game so mind numbing? Why get rid of the value of gold? Why not make yellow (and orange) items hard to find and worth it when they are? Why make enemy combat an endless, confusing button smash slog? I literally can't tell what most enemies look like or what they're even doing to me. It's just visual noise.
    Why was D2 so much better than D1? Because it was bigger and gave us more characters. Sure there was some pretty cool innovation with the gems and rune system but the basic game play didn't change.
    I feel like D4 is a pretty looking Diablo clone that got all the reasons why Diablo was so fun completely wrong. This kind of misstep would be ok if these games came out every 5 years. But to wait almost 12 years? For this? It's just flat out unacceptable.    … Expand

The item affixes are all essentially the same thing but named differently (ex.     The game feels very lonely and a chore to level and there is a severe lacking in end game content which doesn't even matter because you don't benefit at all for completing end game content.

    I still play various versions of D2:LoD and POE and have leveled at least hundreds of characters to the end game. I actually enjoy the leveling process and getting a big power spike with a new skill or item is one of the best gaming feelings. However, I couldn't level a second character (despite it being a Rogue) without it feeling like a complete chore. My first character hit level 96 (whirlwind barb) in the eternal realm and the whole thing felt like a brain dead grind after level 60ish.

    I have always set my bar low for this game despite the fact that a lot of friends had hyped it for years and the game is still worse than I expected. Not to mention it feels like any nerf/buffs made in the game are tested or creative in the way they do it. It feels like the simply look social media content and give it a (decreased damage by x%) change which nerfs the ability across all levels and not just where it was needed.

    For the game to be great imo (I am a gamer and play a lot of ARPGs) they need to stop catering to shareholders and "casual players" and start mimicking my favorite ARPG, POE. Blizz needs to replace their leadership and dev team for this IP but I have a feeling this will never happen. They've made their money through their marketing and branding and will continue to do so through over priced in-game skins and QOL features (Trust me, its coming).    … Expand

    - unique items are very rare and still manage to be worser than common rare items.
    - horrible debuffs by the devs ruined the experience. - where is the great mage skills like diablo 2, 3 - We spend hundreds of hours playing diablo 4 and we get punished for getting "strong"? is it that right ?    i don't know how a team of experienced people do this with a game as traditional as diablo.

    Very bad patch which makes everything worse (too many nerfs). Unbalanced characters (eg bad barb leveling and endgame). You get instantly killed sometimes (one shot) while killing normally all mobs without any problems. Playing this game does not make fun. It is frustrating and boring in the endgame.

    I played a few hundreds of hours, gotten sorc, rogue and barb to 100. The devs absolutely dont know what they're doing. Its like D4 is a No Fun Allowed zone. Constant Nerfs to everything thats fun and nothing get buffed to compensate making builds weaker. Definitely dont reccomend

    Unbelievable failure by blizzard, outputting a half-baked game in development for many years, horrifying grinds (rep repeats) especially after nerfs (helltides, etc.) all while sporting an incredibly predatory and disgustingly bad battle pass (the worst i've seen in any game). 2x lvl 100 on eternal realm pre season 1, quit after. Might be good in a few years when they copy what they must from PoE.

There are 3 out of 5 playable characters, gem which bugs all damage from everyone in radius which also throws any damage balance out of window.     Developers have disappointed me. Sorcerer is always my main class and I enjoy trying different builds, but there are very few possible builds that are truly viable. The last update made this class even more difficult to play. I stopped playing until they correct the sorcerer and make the game fun again.     Diablo 4 seems like an unfinished game, with scarce content and monotonous gameplay. The only fun that was there has been nerfed by patches or hotfixes. Equipment is hard to farm, the pace of nightmare dungeons is sluggish, changing builds is difficult, and the backpack and warehouse are pitifully small. I have no idea what fun is left in this game.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
