    Absolute garbage piece of game. Season 1 is the worst balanded game I've ever experienced.

    Patch 1.1 didn´t address any of the problems players had. The only goal was to nerf everything in order to make the game harder and make people spend more time playing it ( since no end game content was added ) . Absolutely disgusting strategy from Blizzard.

    We paid for a game that was still in development, which the majority of us were fine with because the core of the game was playable. Now with the recent patch (1.1) it has made the game harder, increased the grind, removed several builds due to nerfs, and seems that when any OP build is found it gets nerfed instantly. Instead of utilizing the time nerfing what is left of the game why not concentrate on improving it by adding features players have been asking for since beta, like the following to name a few:

    -Increased stash space
    -Increased inventory space
    -Loot filter
    -Loot management system allowing to search gear in chest.
    -Map overlay

    It seems that the developers are out of touch with the community and simply have one tool to "fix" any issues which is the nerf hammer. Instead of buffing other builds/features anything that is preforming well gets hit. The players should be allowed to play any build, even when something is over preforming. Thats the fun part of the game is discovering these builds and trying them out NOT releasing hot fixes ASAP nerfing anything that pops up on the radar. Do that at the END of content sessions or save them for large patches to allow the community to actually play and have fun with the game. Im done being a beta tester with the game and simply want to have fun while playing a video game but guess blizzard has different plans.    … Expand

    Literally worst patch in the history of video game history. Game looks beautiful. Gameplay is harder. Just desire to play a game that was so beautiful and awaited for so long destroyed.

    Endgame was already garbage. Season 1 patch kills any and all reason to play. Save your money until the gamepass release. It might be worth playing by then.

    With patch 1.1 they did not make a nerf on a skill or on a build, they nerfed entire buckets of damage mostly those with the best multipliers and not to miss anything pure armour and all the legendary aspects, now this is not nerf a glitch abuse or A broken build this is to break the game and stop..instead of solving the problems they killed the fun of player

    I played D4 both betas and since day 1 pre-launch as a sorc main. I play around 10-15 hours per week and I never hit 100, I got to around level 81 in Season 0. I was really looking forward to starting a new character on season 1, however, Blizzard Nerf'ed the sorc class and reduced the leveling speed by a lot. They also made enemies stronger.     Devs are incredibly out of touch with the reality of exciting pve arpg gameplay. Instead of making the game exciting to play they are slowing down the entire pace to keep players dredging through the game to maximize profits from the in game battlepass.

    This game is like a can of Bud Light. In the beginning, it may seem like a way to pass the time. Then, you may even have a little fun with it. But in the end, it will turn on you and betray everything you believe in. You will take to social media to protest, but it will be met with deaf ears. Blizzard doesn't care about you. They'll soon be owned by Microsoft anyway.

    **** i can't even play my Druid companion build anymore because every time I use my wolfs primary attack they end up floating above me while I get destroyed. Or my necromancer who wasn't the toughest but could always pull through, now just gets obliterated. Level capping Tier 4? Why not just make Tier 5? Diablo 3 sucked assssss but you could atleast play 16 different torment levels and it made sense.  You guys even made Gems useless...seriously..
    This game was good it truly was in the beta, I thought ok this is pretty sick. Then you guys did what you do best, which is well? Ruining something fun simply because you can. I am logging out and never buying or playing another Blizzard game...

    2. You can spend dozens of hours collecting items that will be nerfed in the next patch and you will have to throw everything away!

    Grindy unrewarding game with boring loot. Devs killed what little fun there was by slowing down skills, combat, and leveling to artificially keep you playing longer in order to push their seasonal microtransaction journey. Wish I could get a refund, do not recommend.

    Even after the latest patchnotes I was still trying to give the game a chance and the disappointment grows even more. I spent 35 of 45 minutes in queue and had 2 memory leak crashes on medium settings with one of the newest gpus. While waiting in queue I decided to use to the time to create a metacritic account :)

Season players in this season 1 get "malignant hearts" which adjusts a lot of the losses from the "nerfs" in this recent patch.

Their leading developer Rod Ferguson says extremely inappropriate nonsense that is very unprofessional in these "developer talks" or campfire chats talking about his actual rectum and colon which not a single person asked about. Rod is the lead person for this game. He is a failure of a leader and he needs to be fired... not promoted elsewhere... he needs to be fired. This is the very last blizzard game I am ever buying and I've been buying Blizzard games since Diablo 1 and Starcraft... never again!    … Expand

    I thought the game was going to be a worthy successor of Diablo 2 but I was wrong.

    The campaign was good, not very challenging but good, although it has in my opinion several writing flaws. The game visually looks very good and the mechanics of some classes specially the rogue are actually very good, but so far those are the only wins of this game.     The endgame is non existent, after you finish the campaign there's nothing else to do than to grind the same dungeons over and over and over again and the same events until you get to level 100. all the time investment that you put on your main character is worthless as every season requires you to start all over again with a new character (in my opinion this is the most stupid idea ever for a game of this kind), unique items feel worthless and not unique, itemization is awful and the last patch was the last nail in the coffin.

    Avoid like the plague, instead spend your 60+ dollars on something else    … Expand

    End-game balance was mediocre at best, then the devs made it abysmal. It made me feel bad that my money and progress is now a waste. All for an effort to make the top 0.01% people play more, but of course the rest of us will feel bad to spend another thousand hour to maybe get somewhere. Lack of meaningful reward is just lazy game design.

Why would you let tons of players progress a character and spend hundreds of hours playing just to nerf their characters and make them weaker…basically making it so all the effort they put in was meaningless. So many aspects in this game are unbalanced im hoping good changes come but not sure I have to the desire yo continue after the latest patch. Sorcs really suck at the moment and you can’t really play a variety of builds if you want to be good. Paragon system is pretty horrible as well and could have been done way better.… Expand

    Game is at a terrible state for a premium priced game. servers are total crap, the game is more getting stunned and oneshotted than killing stuff and getting rewards. diablo 2 was so incredibly much better, why make a clone of Diablo 3 at launch when most people didnt like that??

    last time I give Blizzard my money.

What started as a promising revival to a struggling Blizzard, rapidly becomes a vapid grindfest with poor balance, boring loot, copy and pasted content, head-scratching design decisions that should have been obvious (e.g. vulnerable being its own damage bucket and becoming mandatory for all classes as a result). There are 120 dungeons, but those dungeonsDiablo 4 is a huge disappointment. Leveling takes absolute years, which would be okay if the game was fun or loot exciting, but I had the ancestrals I wanted more or less at level 72, meaning there was nothing to search for besides so called "uber uniques" which are mostly stat sticks which hardly change the game the way they were advertised. The nightmare sigil system suffers from the same terrible inventory management as the gems. Towns are beautiful but clunky, mounts are clunky and unreliable, abilities feel great, but you don't change your play pattern at all after level 30 or so, meaning you are pushing the same 5 buttons in the same order for hundreds of hours if you want to hit max level, and there is nothing you can even hope might drop along the way. World bosses are paper thin at high levels, and also boring as a result. A disaster of an ARPG and a nail in the coffin for this dying, once-hero of the game world.… Expand

    As a sorcerer, this new patch made me stay away and give this game a rest. Im no longer interested with what theyre doing to the game. It is no longer fun. I dont have time to grind. My damage has been low let alone my defensives could barely keep my 2 legs up. This is a massive screw up!

    Solo Campaign was fun but everything after it is pure trash. Blizzard just wants you to spend as much time as possible in this game but gives no reason why you should do it. Besides from that patch that made the game even worse up to not playable (infinite login time, full of bugs, invisible walls, quests not working and so on). But the shops always works fine.

    The customer should get the product the he wants, not be shoved a mouthfull of horse*hit that they think you deserve.

    10 years of development time and Blizzard manages to release a game that is completely undercooked. Extremely buggy, unadressed VRAM leaks, a very poor UI, no endgame, limited character customization, and a season 1 patch that is honestly horrible as it nerfs everything with no compensation in terms of player power or rewards. A baffling failure overall. I have had no issue putting this game down.

    Not since the Star Wars Galaxies combat update or NGE release has a patch been so unanimously hated. 1.11 Season 1 should be renamed to Season of the Moribund. Long loading times, insane lag of season launch day, it is like they have learnt a thing since launch!

    Game is not fun most builds are not viable. Many features have been disabled including no set items or runes and items are not tradeable. Storyline quests are bugged can’t complete several quest lines. Game feels like a chore to play

    I can live with bad patches, hey it's your game. But the service itself is quite bad, lags, rubberbanding in town and endless queues are things that do not work out for a game that is basically a single player one. Was looking forward to play season 1 today, 1 hour queue....

    Promising game at the start but devs quickly proven to be incompetent and inept. The management use scummy and predatory moves such as nerfing exp and making gameplay much slower to squeeze out game time from playet base. I HIGHLY recommend people to give it no more than zero

    leveling was hideous before the nerfs, after level 50 game would slow down to like 1 level per 2 hours, im not planning on leveling that slow. Also sorc is so bad cus of resistance bug, like everything either oneshots me or twoshot.

For some reason, they think it's fun/optimal gameplay to make leveling slower, mobs harder, decrease exp gained all round, nerf dmg reductions, nerf fun builds, NO BUFFS to off builds, nerf helltides, nerf vulnerability/crit dmg, and increase teleportation time, like wtf?

    ALL those bad gameplay decisions without addressing or fixing the resistances, storage space, early level gameplay drag, and so much more. IIt genuinely feels like they (diablo dev team and leadership) don't play enough games and enough of their own game to see the flaws. Does anyone else feel like we, the players, are QA testing this game for them? A lot of this can steam from Joe Shelley and others coming from the WOW team cause these are all problems they've done in WOW.

    This game is absolute garbage now. At first it was OK but this patch completely destroyed everything. Sorcerer is unplayable because of the massive damage reduction and instant death. What a joke of a game.

Once NDs are available it will be unlikely that we Do WBs, any Tree of Whispers Events are ignored just like Random Estuar events, Cellars, when we could Reset some of these or get NPCs involved in them by means of giving us Bounties for Rewards that are Actually Useful. Caches filled with Materials, Items, Loot, Gold, anything, but basically we go about with Mindnumbing ND farming so its basically becoming D3 Rift farming. IDK, there's so much potential, but instead they worry more about nerfing everything to the ground and micro transactions. Such a shame. hopefully after all this feedback from the community that care about the game, they actually DO SOMETHING that benefits the player more than their Pockets!… Expand

    Awesome "waiting in queue simulator". Sometimes it lets you play a forced always-online game which is fine for couple hours and boring wow-like after that. Online shop is always working fine and with 0 lag though

    The final straw for me was sitting in queue for the past two hours. That's nothing new for a veteran Blizzard games enjoyer, but today it really hurt for the first time.

    I have 15 kids 3 wives and 5 jobs, and as such I only get two hours to play each day.

    Not today, today I sat in the queue. I got in once, however. For a glorious 10 minutes I got to explore the new season content: invisible walls, rubberbanding, stuck in loading screen while trying to enter a cellar, now stuck in queue.

    As I am writing this, the game crashed after waiting in queue for 20 minutes again.

    Nobody asked for or wants cooldowns, they are by far the most annoying and completely useless part of the game - we already have Mana so why have a mechanic that punishes us twice to use the "best skills" (not to mention there are so limited of them). Nobody wants a max level cap of 5 for skills resulting in immediate boredom on not knowing what else to put skill points into - you dontNobody asked for or wants cooldowns, they are by far the most annoying and completely useless part of the game - we already have Mana so why have a mechanic that punishes us twice to use the "best skills" (not to mention there are so limited of them).     When the game first came out, I thought it was a great addition to the Diablo franchise. However, after the brutal nerfs after the first patch, I find the game just flat out not fun. The same thing happened when D3 came out. I have no idea why devs try to force types of play on a community that was having a great time with the game. I don't plan on logging in until things are fixed.

    Diablo4 was the most anticipated game of my adult gaming life. I spent hundreds of hours in D2 and D3; bought D2R and had a blast. D4 campaign and early game were awesome. A few bugs but overall the gameplay was crisp, great story, amazing CGI, and levelling and looting felt great. The end game was a bit boring but 'hey for a launch it was pretty good'. Then came the nerfs. Fixing aDiablo4 was the most anticipated game of my adult gaming life. I spent hundreds of hours in D2 and D3; bought D2R and had a blast. D4 campaign and early game were awesome. A few bugs but overall the gameplay was crisp, great story, amazing CGI, and levelling and looting felt great. The end game was a bit boring but 'hey for a launch it was pretty good'. Then came the nerfs. Fixing a bug where you could a billion damage is a logical fix, but nerfing every skill into the ground because some level 100 builds could solo the final boss... isn't that the point of a level 100 build? You should be able to faceroll everything at that point with optimal gear. Instead they destroyed most builds, and made sorc and barb almost unplayable. The game is now 3-5 seconds of feeling good slaying stuff and 7-10 seconds of running around waiting on the next 3-5 second burst of damage. Its awful. Loot feels crappy; you can't min/max your build because gold is a resource and your stash space is limited so it really hinders build diversity. There's no 're-roll' function other than millions in gold and 15-20 minutes of manually unspecing a paragon board. The agrivating part is that they have the feedback now. Reddit and Blizzrd forums have been complaining of the same issues, the same QoL features that are in other games (heck they're in D3 currently!). Instead of making players want to log in more because its fun, they took all the fun out, kept the same mediocre loot and made demons stronger while making characters weaker. The review bombs will continue until the nerfs are reverted. Hope this makes your shareholders happy Microsoft!… Expand

    what an absolute disaster of a game. there are so many things wrong with it....
    the game is extremely slow paced, everything is created in a way to slow you down.

    the devs had the ability to look at D3 and see what it did well, what people liked, and implement those things into D4 or just take inspiration of those things. they could have looked at other games that do well like PoE and take inspiration out of that.
    for some reason they did neither. all the QoL changes those games made over the years ? D4 has none of that :)

    it's actually disgusting that they have the audacity to charge 70 bucks for this...

    Absolute rubbish.. never have I felt so bad for spending that much money on a game... everything feels like a mechanic in place to keep you locked into the game as long as possible, and almost nothing feels as if it's in place because they want you to have genuine fun.. oh and no trading, yanky mechanics, rubbish endgame and the list goes on and on

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
