    Mobile game in disguise as a full priced next gen AAA game the way of ubisoft or ea, save your money and buy baldurs gate, starfield or mortal kombat instead.

    Turning what should be a fun video game into a freaking horrible mundane job. Like they can't even figure out how to get elite mobs to spawn in a dungeon. Waste of money. Blizzard is the worst imo.

    The story is good and game looks great but the end game loop is uninspired and lacking any sort of meaningful direction or obtainable interesting loot. I stuck with this game and grinded a lot and did all their base challenges because I had high hopes for their big Season 1 debut...

    The major problem I have here is their pre-season 1 patch. I stuck with this game and grinded a lot and did all their base challenges because I had high hopes for their big Season 1 debut...

    The major problem I have here is their pre-season 1 patch. Someone that's calling the shots has a MAJOR obsession with creating a slow paced uninteresting slog of a game that will trap players into a monotonous long term unrewarding grind to keep player numbers high for a long as possible.

    I cannot get behind the current "vision", they are out of touch with what is fun in an ARPG. Speed, damage, defence, good loot, and happiness are not allowed.    … Expand

    Let me be clear: This game could be an 8, but the notably good start has covered the bare truth: This game was clearly not tested enough, badly balanced, wrongly tuned when it comes to gear and skills interdependency and the cause is simple: It was released 6 months before it would have been finished!

    The latest patch proves that this entire game was just a cash grab based on nostalgia. The devs are so out of touch and this patch completely proves it. I fell for the trick because of the Diablo name and I'm truly disappointed. Fool me once blizzard... never again.

    The game get boring quick and devs is only interest in prolonging the boring grind without providing any interesting content. They also lie about being careful with nerf but drastically nerf every class right before season 1

    Yeah the patch made the game worse, but the fact that they manufactured FOMO by keeping you out for four days on release unless you paid $20 more and then threw in a cash shop for gear in a game that's all about finding gear makes this game a stinker.     Suck my duck with this 1.1 patch devs, you sucked the fun out of D4, so freaking out of touch… Aarpg without any action, mmo without any social aspect, loot hunter without any fun loot. You are your worst enemy Blizzard. Get your heads out of where sun doesn’t shine and listen to feedback from your players.

    Initially Diablo 4 was a fun game when playing the main campaign. Afterwards, the grind begins at level 50, *trying* to level up, applying paragon board points, advance world tier levels, and put together a fun, optimized build to carry you through the never-ending slog of nightmare dungeons. This is when the overwhelming grind sets in, and increasingly taking longer and longer to levelInitially Diablo 4 was a fun game when playing the main campaign. Afterwards, the grind begins at level 50, *trying* to level up, applying paragon board points, advance world tier levels, and put together a fun, optimized build to carry you through the never-ending slog of nightmare dungeons. This is when the overwhelming grind sets in, and increasingly taking longer and longer to level up. I'm at level 70 now, and the progression (sheer grind) is abysmal and unenjoyable. There also many quality of life improvements needed for the inventory system and stash. You'll quickly run out of run for items, and need to go through inventory cleanup too often try to figure out what needs to be scrapped versus kept, and there's no easy way to sort through these in terms of aspects or attributes - it's a very manual process. Wishing you good luck in finding the necessary legendaries/uniques that will finally make your build work - I'm missing one that for some reason refuses to drop for me and cripples the potential of my build. This is even before the latest 1.1.0a patch which has completely nerfed most characters/skills/aspects/etc. that made the game playable and simply seems to only increase the grind. Even the Helltide which was semi-enjoyable has been completely nerfed, decreasing the aberrant cinders drop rate while increasing the cinder cost on loot crates. Only thing noticeably buffed are the enemies. Blizzard intended this to be a ten year game, but it's struggling to make it to ten weeks and it's clear the development team are out of touch with what the community needs. Whatever enjoyment there was in playing this game is gone.… Expand

    There is no reason to play after the campaign, world feels empty with little to do expect grind out the same repetitive dungeons. Cooldowns feel way too long for an action game and the resource meter restricts this even further, this game was clearly not ready to be released and the seasonal patch completely gutted most classes on eternal realm.

    Got all 5 classes to 100, and don't mind the grind. However, the latest nerfs are a bit of an overkill for sure. Devs/team needs to get this corrected ASAP.

    This rating is from post patch 1.1, as hopefully a low rating will be the best way for the devs to understand how miserable they are making the game. Before the patch I would have rated it a 7/10, good but with room for improvement. But after the patch, they have made every single aspect of the late game significantly worse, apart from nightmare dungeons. Helltide has become essentially useless, as the finder drop rate has been lowered to the point that you can only reliably farm one mystery chest per event, and often these chests have nothing but garbage in them. Besides making the game worse, none of the problems were ever addressed. Good loot drops are so rare that you hardly, if ever, change gear between levels 70-90. Mob density is low relative to other games. Only a few viable builds for late game play. Given two point though, because at least, at time of this writing, there is no pay to win/loot box options. Only thing that can be bought are skins, which is an ideal system for any game.… Expand

    Hyped up season 1 and then made the game a grinding simulator without considering what was actually going to be fun with the game,

    Devs so far out of touch with what people actually want it hurts.

    Game has a solid base, but no end game and the staff has made horrid decisions hiding changes from patch notes and changes in patch notes do not match the changes in game.

    The game was ruined by updates that are only meant to make the game more of a grind and keep people playing longer artificially. All fun has been removed.

    Boring, no real content, multiplayer doesn't really exist (no matchmaking). This game is incomplete.

    After a decent start where the game was enjoyable the entire player base was slapped with sensless nerfs born out of Blizzard’s complete lack of end game testing.
    The second BG3 releases I’m done with this game.

    This Patch just before Seaon 1 is awful.
    It is making me want to leave the game.

    Sadly, I paid $100 for the premium version. As soon as I realized that I would need to make a new character for season 1 (I figured since it was like a month after launch it wouldn't reset, but that's on me I guess), I decided to just wait until start of season 1. In that time, I have seen worse and worse decisions killing the potential of this game. I wish I'd never bought it and won't be picking it back up.

    Devs. Do you even think about your decisions beforehand? Have you even played this game yourselves? Is there anyone at your company with oversight that said "hey, ya know, maybe this isn't such a good idea guys." Horrible company. Hope Microsoft fires everyone at Blizzard and starts over. Hopefully they hire people with even a little intelligence.    … Expand

    The latest patch has followed suite with what seems to be a general trend of Blizzard for this game: "if they're having fun we'd better patch it to cut that out.".

    Latest patch nerfs all classes, forces an ideology of glass cannon builds, and essentially punishes players for all of the work they've done this far. If Blizzard's reading this: GET YOUR SH!T TOGETHER!

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
