Diablo IV is a triumphant return to the series that captures the essence of what made the franchise so beloved while introducing fresh and innovative elements. With its stunning visuals, gripping storytelling, addictive gameplay, and robust multiplayer features, Diablo IV is an absolute must-play for any fan of the action role-playing genre. Prepare to be ensnared by the dark embrace of Diablo IV, as you embark on a journey that will leave you hungry for more.

Diablo IV stays mostly true to its roots. Think isometric perspective, bleak environments and wave after wave of hordes of demons. But at the same time, the game has received a much-needed update in the form of stunning graphics, fluent gameplay and an impressive opening scene that immediately takes the you to your macabre playing field for the next twenty to fifty hours - or more.

Simply put, Diablo 4 may be Blizzard's best-ever game, and that's a really tough legacy to live up to. Immaculate storytelling meets stunning art, polished, bug-free gameplay, atop endlessly customizable combat with the promise of dozens, maybe hundreds of hours of content — Diablo 4 might be Blizzard's most important, pivotal game since World of Warcraft. Do yourself a favor and go in completely blind. Even if you're not a typical fan of isometric action RPGs, I'm confident that you won't be disappointed.

Diablo 4 embodies the essence of what makes Diablo so great, taking the best elements of its predecessors and sewing them together to create an ever-changing, ever-evolving chimera that we can’t wait to play for years to come.

We had high expectations for Diablo 4, and we're so happy to say that Blizzard has smashed them. This is a title that takes Diablo 3's meaningful quality-of-life improvements and expands upon them with aplomb, while also bringing back the much-loved look and feel of Diablo 2. All the while, it's not too focused on the past, taking the series into open world territory and making it more story-led than ever before. And what a story it tells: we never expected to be so invested. But more importantly, we can't wait to start a new character and jump once again into the endgame. Diablo 4 is devilishly good – the best Diablo game yet, in fact, and it only stands to get better.

Diablo IV represents a massive shift for the series, moving to a more inclusive and open world that is somehow as inviting for new players as returning veterans. Complexity is mixed with flexibility to create a game that is sure to consume you for hundreds if not thousands of hours. Diablo IV is the game we’ve been waiting for, and a return to form for the Blizzard team.

Diablo IV is an action RPG game that aims to redeem Blizzard's reputation - and nails it. With an engaging story and well-developed characters, the game presents a gripping plot and intelligent dialog. The quest to prevent Lilith from obtaining the power of Hell is accompanied by other characters with their own ambitions. In addition to the main story, the side missions are also captivating. Diablo IV retrieves the magical essence of the series and delivers an immersive experience from start to finish, showcasing Blizzard's care in crafting a satisfying and exciting tale.

Diablo 4 feels like the apex of the series, bringing together everything great about the previous entries. It isn't without its minor flaws, and the success of the endgame content is still up in the air, but for once Diablo has a gripping story, phenomenal graphics, and a gameplay loop that doesn't innovate too much but is certainly better than its predecessor.

If you are a fan of the previous games then absolutely grab a copy. If you haven’t played a Diablo game before but like the idea of hack and slash with a healthy (or perhaps unhealthy) dose of loot clicking then grab a copy… basically… just grab a copy!!! Lot’s of fun and a great example of how to bring an old game back to life like a necromancer summoning a Lich.

As I’ve previously mentioned, Diablo IV is a blast to play. I like the much darker overall vibe than Diablo III and the unrelenting brutal storyline throughout. The variety of class builds and how Diablo IV unfolds the complexity over time helps new players get into it and delivers variation and fun for veterans. Additionally, as I mentioned in my previous Review in Progress, Diablo IV is a game that respects the player’s time and doesn’t ask us to do the same things over on all characters unless we want to. The main negative currently is server instability. Generally, that hasn’t been a huge problem, but it pops up regularly and can be a particular problem while playing a hardcore character. That said, I’ve been having a blast in Sanctuary and don’t see any sign of wanting to take a break from it, which is abnormal for Diablo games and me. Generally, I play the main campaign once, and I’m done playing until there’s a new story to play. I’m already thinking about what’s next for me in Diablo IV.

There’s no doubt that Diablo IV is one of the best action-RPGs of all time and on par, or probably better, than Diablo II, the pinnacle of Blizzard’s creative work. The amount of content you have access to even before you finish the story is staggering. As far as the end game goes, the part where the game truly starts for many players, I’m confident that Diablo IV will keep you entertained for years to come. Featuring a compelling story, amazing cutscenes and great voice-acting, Diablo IV is the Diablo game that I’ve been waiting to play for a decade. It’s everything I wanted and more.

Some server issues aside, Diablo IV is the evolutionary game that the fans were waiting for. It’s one of the most complete Action RPGs ever made, and with its solid story, much-improved narrative, super deep character development mechanisms, and superb visuals and atmosphere could become the new benchmark for the genre.

Diablo IV is an exceptional return to form for Blizzard, who deliver a great product for die-hard fans and newcomers alike. From a great story to exploring a fabolous open world to slaughtering demons while getting through a dungeon, Diablo IV offers you everything that you could ever want from a Diablo title. Going on an adventure hasn't been this fun for a long time and it gets even better when pairing up with some friends.

Diablo IV is the true successor to the second game, returning the franchise to its dark, gothic roots with a wild, operatic narrative and bold characters. Gameplay is as addictive as ever, and the sprawling campaign is only the start of a massive amount of content to experience. While Blizzard keeps nudging Diablo's design towards MMORPG-style multiplayer and co-op, there's no lack of fun for solo players, even if some bosses are better with friends. With off-the-charts production values and compelling characters and combat, Diablo IV is just about as good as the genre can get.

Diablo IV does not alter or revolutionize the two-decades-old formula but polishes it instead. While Blizzard admittedly ‘’played it safe’’, we can't deny it's a fantastic product that's easy to recommend. In its current state, it's one of the greatest entries in the series and by far the one with the best story. If microtransactions aren’t introduced later, Diablo IV will remain an amazing title to play for years to come.

Whilst Diablo IV could have done more to advance the genre or perfect its writing and tone across the entire experience, there’s no denying just how impactful this release is, especially for those of us who grew up alongside the series. The game is demonically big and beautiful, allowing players to get lost in Sanctuary and constantly engaged by the looting and upgrading loop that continues to fire endorphins from the moment you boot it up until you finally and begrudgingly turn it off.

Diablo 4 feels like a statement game from Blizzard, a “we’re back” for anyone who was concerned after Diablo 3’s rough launch and the middling reception to Diablo Immortal. It’s the sequel to Diablo 2 people have been waiting for, and it doesn’t disappoint. Diablo 4 is a game about legacies, so it’s fitting that in developing it, Blizzard has re-solidified the franchise’s — and its own.

Diablo IV is an extremely good Diablo game, and that is all it needs to be. It doesn't change much, and it focuses on polishing what the franchise already did well. It's always difficult to tell how these kinds of games will develop; by the end of its life cycle, Diablo III was almost unrecognizable compared to its launch state. Barring some terrible missteps, Diablo IV has everything it needs to grasp your soul with its malevolent claws and eat up hours of your life. Newcomers or long-time fans alike should find it easy to pick up and play Diablo IV.

I’m not a fan of it being online-only, but barring that, Diablo 4 is brilliant, and I hope Blizzard releases the soundtrack on vinyl soon. Diablo 4 feels like a game Blizzard made to show it still has it. I adored Diablo 3, Hearthstone, and the first two years of Overwatch, but never really clicked much with the publisher’s releases since. Diablo 4 is a true Blizzard home run, and one I look forward to playing for years to come. Even in its current state, it is a massive win, and a superb base to build on.

For all those who are not interested in such a deep dive, the conclusion will now be announced. Diablo 4 is a great continuation of the series that successfully combines the style of the second part, the online elements of the third and brings a lot of new things. Blizzard went above and beyond to keep their promise not to disappoint their fans. An excellent, pixel-perfect mix of action-RPG and hack'n'slash.

The biggest and darkest Diablo yet, with a huge world to explore, robust mechanics and tons of quests to do along the way. Some features feel a little undercooked, but provide a great foundation for updates and improvements, much more than Diablo 3 ever could. The MMO design does not hurt the experience and the current monetization is easy enough to ignore. However, this might change in the future, as new mechanics, shop items and seasonal content are rolling in. Blizzard will have to be careful not to ruin what has been an amazing launch so far.

Diablo IV delivers the sequel we've been expecting for years. It's definitely the best incarnation of the saga with minor flaws that are eclipsed by the excellent gaming experience it provides and the immense replay value it offers.

Diablo IV does not bring significant innovations, but it's a lot of fun. The gameplay is already a bit outdated, but after appropriate adjustments it is still effective and dynamic. But most important is that Diablo IV is a game you'll be playing over and over again for years to come.

Diablo IV has set the golden standard for what a modern Blizzard game should be. It is not only a fantastic Diablo game but gives us a glimpse that the once-beloved publisher still has that magic that it was most well-known for in years past.

Diablo 4 has a solid foundation, but Blizzard is going to have to keep finding new ways to justify this slower take on the series forever, or else revert back to the mindless grind of D3, which isn’t what I want to see. Players are going to push for faster gameplay and less friction, and it's going to be up to Blizzard to stick to its guns here and maintain the vision of Diablo 4, while also managing the natural effects of power creep over time. It’s an unenviable position, but I respect the hell out of this team for choosing the path of most resistance and pursuing a unique identity for this game, especially in light of what Diablo Immortal is and what Overwatch has become.

Overall Diablo 4 has far exceeded expectations. I was worried that the game design would fall too far in the direction of the exceedingly overrated Diablo 2 (yeah I said it, nostalgia is a helluva drug) but the team have blended it well with the much maligned Diablo 3. While a disgusting monetisation model could put a damper on things, at this stage the game gets my wholehearted recommendation. Diablo 4 is the triumph an embattled Blizzard needs to steady its ship, and it’s a hell of a lot of fun.

Diablo IV effortlessly combines the best that the series has to offer. Including decades of refinement to it's successful formula, the freedom to endlessly experiment with your builds and loads of varied content. It’s visually stunning and it sounds amazing. Diablo IV exceeds our expectations, delivers on the hype and has us tight in it’s addictive and demonic grip.

Diablo IV mixes everything good from past installments and gives the player a product that can be overwhelming at first but then very entertaining after a couple of hours. The story is fun but hard to follow, and the character classes provide different perspectives on what combat can offer. New and old adventurers will enjoy a fight to the death where defeating Lilith is far from the end of the journey.
  37. Diablo IV has successfully brought everything we wished to be in the 3rd game and has the potential to be the best game in the series.

Diablo is back, enough said. The formula modernizes itself and succumbs to the allure of forced multiplayer live service, but the core remains intact. The game offers a campaign as sinister as it is captivating, built on extremely solid foundations that welcome new players, while providing veterans with plenty to sink their teeth into for months and years to come.

Blizzard really catered both to those who enjoy single-player experiences, and those eager for some good old multiplayer fun. Seriously, break the piggy bank and go buy this game. Because Blizzard, apparently, did it again – they remembered how to make great games that we will be playing for months on end. Maybe even years.

Blizzard has taken twenty years of game design lessons and put all of them into Diablo 4. The variety of things to do in the game and the plethora of build choices feel like they come from a company that has experienced the highest highs and lowest lows in game development and taken some of those hard-learned lessons to heart. There is a lot of love built into every aspect of Diablo 4, and users will find it in every system and corner of Sanctuary. With the first simultaneous release on PC and consoles in the series' history, Diablo players are finally getting back into the fight between Heaven and Hell, and they will more than likely still be fighting for many years to come.

A superb game with a faint game-as-a-service scent, packed with gratifying content. Diablo 4 appears to be the top hack'n'slash available. As someone deeply familiar with previous Diablo iterations, Divine Divinity, and a touch of Grim Dawn, this is undoubtedly the finest hack'n'slash for me.

My impressions are overwhelmingly positive based on what I’ve experienced so far, from the map to the gameplay to the new systems to even the story, which I was not expecting. Blizzard really seems like they’ve nailed this, and I’m going to say the only way this will be poorly received at launch is if technical issues kill people’s ability to play. But once it gets rolling? Yes, I think you’re going to like Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 has taken everything that fans love about the ARPG format and elevated it to new heights. With a fascinating world to explore, a strong cast of characters, and purposeful combat, it sets a new standard for the genre…The wheel hasn’t been reinvented, and it remains to be seen how the series will adapt to a live service model. Nevertheless, anyone picking up Diablo 4 at launch will find themselves playing a very strong package with plenty of promise.

While the fusion of the Diablo franchise and the open world sounded rather unfamiliar at first, the game has succeeded in capturing the charm of both. You can't say the game is perfect as of its initial release, Diablo4 still is one of the strongest quarter view action RPGs.
  46. 90
Diablo IV is an unquestionable win for Blizzard and one of their foundational franchises when it needed it most. An unrelenting commitment to vision, redefined Sanctuary, never-ending player progression, and excellent boss fights are just a few of the reasons Diablo IV isn't held back by uneven pacing and recycled content.

I cannot overstate just how satisfying it is to play Diablo IV on a moment-to-moment basis, and with so much replay value to be had from its various classes and build possibilities within those classes, Diablo IV feels like a true return to form for the series.

Diablo IV tows several lines masterfully, be it in its mechanical complexity or the moral ambiguity of its plot. Its greatest achievement, however, is being a great Diablo game.

The irresistible gloom is now no longer opposed by hurdles in the form of confusing item and skill management. We enthusiastically throw ourselves against Lilith's hordes and once again sink hour after hour into perfecting our character. Overall, however, there could have been a bit more innovation.

Diablo IV is only the first stage of a long journey and already a convincing ARPG that throws you into a dark open world from which it is increasingly difficult to detach thanks to addictive gameplay and deep customization of your alter ego. Those who dreamed of a work capable of rewriting history might be a little disappointed, but sometimes less is enough to be happy.

    86
Diablo IV is not without flaws, especially when it comes to its dungeon design and its excessive approach to level scaling, and it's not as innovative as some of the previous entries but it's still a quality game, made with great care and competence. Above all else, though, Diablo's gameplay still offers plenty of fun: it doesn't matter if you're playing as a druid, a rogue or a necromancer, slaying thousands upon thousands of demons is always satisfying.

Diablo 4 manages to combine the best elements of the license. We're back to the simple but enjoyable gameplay we've come to expect from Diablo, combined for the first time with a well-thought-out, well-filled open world. The majority of players should find what they're looking for, with varied classes, a satisfying campaign, and top-level content worthy of the name while waiting for the seasons. They are accompanied by an atmosphere as dark as it is gripping, wrapped up in a AAA package of great quality on almost every level. A few details may disturb, such as the online mode, or the announced monetization, but this is probably the price to pay for a good game that should continue to enrich and refine itself over the years, if you're prepared to be patient.
  61. May 30, 2023

The first version of Diablo 4 is a canvas on which the developers could, over the months, paint a true masterpiece. The equipment and progression system is extremely robust and lends itself well to the significant innovations that the team plans to implement in the production lifecycle, through patches and expansions. If Blizzard manages to keep the attention high on the title and make the right changes, we could be faced with a new milestone in the action RPG genre.
  62. May 30, 2023
    85
Diablo IV is a return to form at a much needed time for Blizzard. It delivers incredibly fun hack and slash action combat, a greatly improved skill system, and a ton of things to do, not to mention the best story told in the franchise yet. It also looks awesome, sounds great, and runs well (except for rare instances of traversal stuttering)...That said, it sticks a little bit too closely to the rulebook, which works against it in a few areas. The open world is not as dynamic as one could have hoped, with events getting repetitive rather quickly. The side content doesn't provide any real narrative juice, and the endgame replayability may not be as deep as needed due to limited randomization and lack of certain features.
  63. May 30, 2023
    85
Diablo IV is a must-play for fans of the series and newcomers alike. It invites you to lose yourself in a world of darkness and embark on a thrilling journey filled with relentless battles, captivating storytelling, and a hauntingly beautiful audio-visual symphony. Just ignore the extraneous limb reaching for your wallet.

Thanks to an enjoyable combat loop and wonderfully dark environments, Diablo IV is a great blend of the previous two games in the series that brings a slew of basic MMO features while preserving the core tenets of the franchise.

Diablo IV runs as a grimdark, stylistic overhaul on the chassis of Diablo III. Highly addictive, grandiose in its objectives, with a satisfying length even for those who don't want to be bothered with the lackluster endgame. As it seems so far, the game systems have some solid foundation, but they haven't been polished giving the impression that the game was rushed out. As it stands now, we are unable to recommend it for its campaign alone for full price, although it is an addictive title for the duration of the honeymoon period.

It’s a sequel that plays it safe, but in doing so provides a polished, refined take on the series’ formula that caters to both veterans and newcomers. It offers hundreds of hours of monster slaying at release, while also providing a sturdy foundation on which Blizzard can build as it revs up its post-launch support.
  67. Jun 26, 2023
    80
Diablo 4 looks and plays incredibly well, and Blizzard shows that it is back at the top in terms of story and cutscenes. Yet the game starts very slowly, it starts to show a lack of quality of life in the endgame and this MMO ARPG is also very unsocial. Nothing that can't be solved in a few seasons, but until then D4 certainly doesn't deserve a 9 or higher.
  68. Jun 19, 2023

With Diablo IV, Blizzard opens the gates of Hell to all players, from the most casual ones to the most hardcore. Being impossible to please them both at the same time, the former risk hitting a wall when they reach the endgame, while the latter may not find the challenge interesting enough. Still, Diablo IV is a highly recommendable experience for all players, with a solid, addictive foundation and a tremendous potential to evolve in the coming seasons, especially when played with friends.

New fancy graphics are quite good and combined with the fluid gameplay makes it seem like this sequel was almost worth the wait. If some more quality of life options are implemented, we definitely have something here that will keep us glued to the screens for a long time.

Like the Blizzard hits of old, Diablo 4 is a designer's game at heart, built on intricacy and depth. A sense of fearful overcompensation holds it back.

Diablo IV is a beautiful, massive new chapter in the classic hack-and-slash series that features a wildly addicting hunt for fresh gear.
  72. 80
With engaging combat, an immersive atmosphere, and a compelling story, Diablo IV rekindles the flame of one of Blizzard's most beloved franchises. Though the current live service content plan somewhat hinders its potential, Diablo IV will satisfy the hunger of series veterans and any new player seeking a quality action RPG.
  73. May 30, 2023

Diablo 4 is certainly a tasty proposition for fans of the series, but their appetite may not be fully satisfied. Repetitive nature of side activities and their small rewards steer us towards the storyline, which initially also leaves a lot to be desired. Fortunately, the foundations for further development are solid, the combat is satisfying and the size of the world offers plenty to do.
  74. May 30, 2023

Diablo 4 is extremely generous. A clear evolution of the franchise and a real return to form. This fourth opus does everything better and bigger. A vast world, over a hundred dungeons, ultra-pushed customization... Nothing is left to chance. What's more, the narrative campaign is a delight to navigate. The narration has been given much more attention than in the past, the dubbing (VF and VO) is a delight and the cinematics are sublime. Even the mise-en-scène is superb. As for the endgame, it's shaping up to be a busy one. With a completely overhauled Parangon system that's infinitely deeper than in the past, endless challenges and ever-higher difficulty levels, you'll have plenty to do. It now remains to be seen what the long-term impact will be in terms of overall class balancing, redundancy and the seasonal system. As for the business model, still a mystery at the time of writing. But we'll come back to that later. As it stands, Diablo 4 remains an ultra-solid game.

Diablo 4 strides out of the gate with an impressive blend of engrossing storytelling, engaging gameplay, and top-tier audio-visual design. As a result, it stands as a groundbreaking addition to the ARPG genre, despite my hovering concerns about its compulsory persistent multiplayer and potential future microtransactions.

Diablo 4 is a behemoth of a game, boasting a gothic world that goes beyond the engaging hack-and-slash gameplay loop, and brings Sanctuary well and truly to life.

Diablo IV, at this time, cannot escape comparison to the past of the franchise it belongs to, but it's thankfully a game that has been crafted with a strong awareness of what made each one either revered or reviled. It represents a measured approach to combining the many elements from previous entries that worked into a system that feels like the new standard-bearer for action role-playing. Coupled with a new benchmark for storytelling in the franchise, and a solid narrative foundation for any potential new adventures, it's easy to see Diablo IV as something I'll regularly check-in on for a long time to come.

With proper cross-play, cross-progression, and gamepad support, Diablo 4 perfects almost every worthwhile aspect of its namesake, generating a multiplayer dungeon crawler with laser-focused objectives that never feel like a waste of time. It’s to the point - and the point is damn sharp. Monetization, while not immediately egregious, is still hard to trust.

Still, there’s a reason “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” became an adage. Diablo 4 plays brilliantly, and I opted for familiar builds for a reason – they’re fun and effective. That said, I would like to see something more daring in the future, whether that’s a class with a distinct defensive or support role or even just another offense-oriented class that isn’t a corpse-exploding necromancer or whirling barbarian again.

Diablo IV introduces one of the most integral characters from its expansive catalogue of lore to weave a tapestry about choice, parenthood, while transitioning the series into something more resembling a live service game.

This game has not so much been created to advance the beloved series but to prepare the ground for its next generation. As sequels go, think more civil disturbance than raising hell. [Issue #386, p.104]

Diablo 4 will provide dozens, if not hundreds, of hours of entertainment for those seeking a solid action RPG looter. However, some may be left wanting by the power fantasy and some of the endgame.

Diablo IV remained stuck in the past while trying to find innovation without generating friction with fans who have played the franchise for over two decades; It feels like the ghost of Diablo Immortal continues to haunt the halls of Blizzard. The game is more of a reinvention of the classic experience, focusing on a games-as-a-service format to ensure another decade of content for Diablo.

It's not revolutionary by any means, but what's there is solid, well thought out and works well.

If you want to play Diablo IV for its story you are in the wrong place. This new installment has excellent improvements over its predecessor and a decent level design. On a visual level, it's one of the best role-playing games I've played in which some features could be used in a better way. It has a moderate replayability and is so far one of the best things that can be praised. Overall it's a "good" game.

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.

But despite the rewarding interplay between various stats and buffs, and the laudable sensation that, even very early on, you have access to the sort of freedom in character and combat customisation that’s typically locked away for hours in similar games, Diablo 4 feels … toylike. Strip away the hellish screams and scarily convincing Halloween costumes, and what’s left is the video game equivalent of hyper-palatable junk food, albeit with myriad colourful warnings on the packaging.

Diablo IV is all that you could wish for the return of the Diablo saga. Is a dark and brutal action RPG with tons of content and a surprising story. [Recommended]

Diablo IV represents a significant milestone for a series that is approaching its 30th anniversary. From what I have seen so far, it successfully modernizes the franchise and brings it up to par with other ARPGs. Once again, you’ll embark on a relentless journey through dungeons, honing your skills, optimizing your damage output, and improving your survival chances.

If you love ARPGs and enjoyed the combat of Diablo 3 and the atmosphere of Diablo 2, I think you're going to love this game. It's not as brain-meltingly complicated as a Path of Exile, but it doesn't want to be. This is streamlined, big-budget loot hunting, and I absolutely love it. Ignore the monetization nonsense, vibe out on the demon slaying, and you'll have a great time.
  4. Diablo 4 treads familiar ground in its story and characters, but its combat and gameplay systems shine where prior games fell short. I wish its single-player experience was a little less hostile, and I worry for its longevity in its current state, but even at its lowest lows, it manages to match or outpace its predecessors in almost every conceivable way. Diablo 4 doesn’t even have to be a Good Game for me to crave playing it — it’s the intrinsic lizard-brain appeal of magic-finding and getting more powerful that’s kept the third installment alive for so long. It’s the pure uncut result of gamifying the “god, why must you give me your hardest battles” meme with one of the most beloved action-adventures of my generation. I can almost feel Lilith cradling my face, calmly explaining that not only am I Sanctuary’s weakest hero, but this is only Nightmare mode, and I have many, many more doors to obliterate before reaching Torment.
  6. Part of the reason it's so easy to play hours of Diablo IV in one go, staring unblinkingly at the centre third of your screen until you feel your eyeballs turn into raisins, is that it's very well made. The different synergies of all the abilities and spells is extremely impressive, and the game kicks up a bit when you get your ultimate spells and special abilities. I got the ability to summon, rather than a team of skeletons, one huge Big Daddy-esque monster in their place - and even that came in three variants for extra build customisation. There are main missions, side missions, timed world events, an optional currency to buy mystery weapons, and hours-long dungeons to get Aspects for your character - themselves another optional addition to apply to your gear. It's a game that puts no friction between itself, and you mainlining it for an entire day. Whether you'll feel good afterwards is another question.

Blizzard killed the best thing about Diablo: the loot!!
"legendaries" are a poor substitute for uniques. So much of the fun of Diablo used to be building characters that used uniques in, well, unique ways. Hell, just finding one was great. Now I dont even get a jump in the heartbeat when one drops because it will only be mats for something from the codex....
Now uniques are just badges for the most of try-hards....
I could go on and on about the live service stuff, but the loot is what killed it for me

I made this account just to give Diablo 4 an honest review so hopefully others avoid the same mistake of purchasing. Early on the game seemsI made this account just to give Diablo 4 an honest review so hopefully others avoid the same mistake of purchasing. Early on the game seems decent, but it progressively gets more boring. Previously Diablo games had end game activities to keep us logging on and playing. This game has nothing going for it at end game. I've seen people calling it Vendor Simulator 4 and this makes a lot of sense. You spend more time running between monsters, reviewing your loot and vendoring it than actually fighting monsters.

The game is also live service and Blizzard recently ignored 142 exploiters who basically cheated the game to get uber uniques. Their response was extremely disappointing. It was along the lines of "we know who cheated and how many, but this time there will be no punishment, perhaps next time we'll do something if it happened again". This allows their streamer partners and whoever else they are protecting to retain godlike items for the remainder of the game. I decided to uninstall at this point because Blizzard lost integrity and didn't keep the playing field fair for the rest of us.
