    Diablo IV has been quite a struggle for me to play, often finding it hard to engage for more than a few minutes at a time. The experience comes across as excessively repetitive, grind-oriented, and devoid of enjoyment.

    My sentiments toward the pricing of the store skins are in stark contrast as well. While I've willingly invested in microtransactions before, the cost of these skins feels exorbitant. A single skin costs as much as a significant portion of the base game? It's truly perplexing!

    Comparatively, my recent experience with Path of Exile (POE) has been far more immersive and captivating. I'm inclined to transition to POE2 upon its release and observe how Diablo IV evolves after a couple of seasons.

    It seems as though Diablo IV was hastily pushed to market, possibly to secure a player base before the launch of POE2. This rush is palpable and has likely impacted the game's overall quality and experience.

    I'd love to give diablo 4 a higher rating based on what they did well, but I can't.

    Why can't I? Because I can't log in. Again.

    Because every single action I take is disgustingly laggy in a game that could have been awesome offline.

    Remove the only requirement and I'll praise that the game actually intended to well, until then, I'm sorely disappointed.

    Pros:
    - Good for cross-play
    - Play how you want - mostly

    Cons:
    - Skills are directly copied from previous games but made worse.
    - Paragon system is included as part of the leveling instead of when you reach max level.
    - Story/Campaign is very poorly done & even more poorly connects itself to the other games.
    - No storage space, you need to share 4 stash tabs between 10 characters, gems use one, aspects use at least one. So that leaves you with only 2 tabs for 9 other characters....
    - Lacking detailed information for EVERYTHING. this game is all about min maxing, but it does not give you any information of what skills do what, or affected by what & how.
    - Little to no options in character cosmetics unless you spend real money. Few in-game unlocks are actually different.
    -side quests are not shared, This is a huge problem when playing with a friend & doing multiple side quests. You pop in & out of instances to one another unless you both match each side quest chains progress.
    - BUGS... OMG... The worst are all related to pathfinding.
    Kinda makes you think they didn't even use a basic A* logic.

    Sadly I know there will be an expansion & I am sure many of the problems will eventually get addressed.
    But I will not return to the game. It was wrong to release such a mess of a game to begin with.

But at some point all those passionate and competent people went missing, whether they were fired or quit I can't say. But right now the entire Diablo 4 team is less competent than even JAGEX of all companies and its not even close. It takes them weeks to fix massively impactful bugs and issues, they release things broken and not working, they do basically nothing and barely have any new content flowing despite the promises of massive changes each season.

    All of this not to even mention the fact that they haven't got a single person on the team capable of even the most basic creative design decisions anymore. Generic and garbage aspects and uniques, their team that already needs 700 man hours to issue a basic PR to even start working on a basic day-to-day bug is for some reason wasting their already inefficient and limited time on an 'uber unique' system in a game that HAS NO TRADING and therefore literally no one will ever get the items even if they played 10,000 hours straight (you probably think I'm exaggerating but I'm really not).

    Blizzard is dead. Kotick has destroyed the company finally. The OW2 scandal and the Diablo 4 situation are not unique, this is the norm from this trash company now.

    Does not feel like a Diablo game. Just some generic ARPG made by an unknown studio. Very obvious that not a single key developer from the old Diablo games have been working on this.

    Save your money. If you already bought it, don't get fooled spending more money on their planned DLCs to milk the Diablo name even more.

    It's like Blizzard wants this to be Elden Ring - making you easy to kill, limiting health flasks, attaching abilities to gear, matching monsters to your level so it never feels too comfortable, giving you an open world and a horse... but that's not what Diablo is to me.

    Diablo has always been a source of relaxation and stress relief. Kill some monsters in extravagant ways, roll the dice on finding cool gear that opens up new gameplay options, feel stronger over time, and generally turn your brain off for a bit. Sure, you could try and push harder difficulties and challenge yourself more, but you didn't have to and it was still enjoyable.

    This new Diablo wants to be harder, but not in fun ways. Waiting for cooldowns feels bad. Waiting for your mana to recharge because mana flasks were removed feels bad. Being limited to six skill slots feels bad. Dying at the end of a Helltide so you just wasted your time and can't make up for it right away feels bad. Running into barriers on your horse feels bad. Not being able to respec easily feels bad. Getting to the end of a boss battle and running out of flasks feel bad. Being squishy feels bad (I played sorcerer, big mistake). Not being able to see the map while playing feels bad. And there being no interesting loot to make the rest of this bearable feels worst of all.

    I played the campaign and quit soon after that - it just doesn't seem like whatever design philosophy created this aligns with what I want from a Diablo game. Maybe if it's your first Diablo game you won't come in with these same expectations, but I had more frustration than fun with it.

Boring is the main aspect of the game. 80% of skills are trash, You WILL have to play in a certain way to not suck at the game and freedom of choice is just a bad choice in the end. Original 9/10

    The world is gritty and expansive, the little details and sounds you hear while venturing around are amazing. The story, albeit short, was enjoyable to follow, I just wish it was longer.

    There's a lot to do but the world group activities are few and far between, this needs to be addressed as soon as possible with either more content for world events or lowering the time between the current events.

    PVP is fine, I would not recommend anyone looking for a PVP game to go into this thinking it's going to scratch that itch.

    The graphics and sound quality are amazing, the immersion it brings is fantastic.

    Overall I'd rate this a 9/10, Solid foundations, enjoyable story, a vast world to explore and a path to an even better game with future releases.

    So this is the point of view from a casual player looking to play single player. None of the complaints about balancing, nerfs or the endgame complaints from someone looking to sink 500+ hours in a game.

    I approached this game expecting an uninspired but solid game that I could complete the campaign and move on. I have a backlog of games to play and I don't need to play something forever. Sadly despite my bar being set really low I was disappointed.

    -Gameplay feels lacking with very few builds or diversity.

    -For gear yellow rare items can be as good as legendary which is bad in that legendary items can and often do roll lower than yellows. You can transfer traits but that requires large amount of resources and you can only transfer once. for something you will replace in a couple levels it sucks. Many of the skills are super specific to just one build making most legendary items completely useless.

    -Rubberbanding/sliding constantly. Sometimes during lag spikes which I believe are mostly server based. Not a new issue since diablo 3 also had online always but still sucks.

    -collision with my own units making movement awkward(played necromancer) would sometimes need to move around to get minions to randomly move out of the way of object i wanted to interact with

    -open world is fine if it adds to the immersion or exploration but it felt more like the open space was an obstacle to getting into more fights. ignoring 3-5 mobs not worth dismounting became the norm and I just ran from quest to quest with my horse when it was unlocked.

    -The story was kind of so-so but it didn't really complete and left it super open ended to try to draw you back for more. If it is only added to seasonal I likely will not pick up the game again since leveling is a chore and the main campaign was long but not super enjoyable.

    The overall end result is a game I wanted to play just to complete and didn't really enjoy. I ended up completing it only because I had the mentality of "I paid for this so I may as well finish". I was extremely tempted to drop difficulty part way through campaign not because it was hard but because I wanted to be done sooner. By the time I unlocked Torment and completed campaign I was done with diablo 4 and did not want to touch endgame or try getting unique gear. I regret my purchase and do not recommend unless you want to burn time and money and have nothing better to do.

    There is no longer any mechanical challenge to the game (which there was a hint of in Beta). It's a pinball machine with flashy explosions and no danger to the character until you suddenly get one shotted. Which can be an issue since of course the servers are overwhelmed and laggy (which, for $60-100 seems insulting).

    Players who want an autoplay game are frustrated with lots of menial parts. Players who are looking for mechanical challenge will not find it past like level 10. The story, the writing, the setting all show a lot of love poured into it by devs, but that got in turn poured down the drain somewhere along the development.

    Serious buyers remorse on this one. Season 1 is starting, no progress actually transferred, and I'm not even mad. Because I'm already bored of it.

    The biggest issue for me is, that you don't have the feeling to make progress. You get your skills really early, you get some items but it makes really no difference. You play all the time but there is no progess. You get punished for leveling.
    It does not really develop any feeling or "kind of addiction" that I want to discover more. Ok with Level 50, I had the first time a bit the feeling. You got the paragon board, a lot of new things. And you hope that you get stronger and finally smash the mobs super fast. BUT nothing happens. It stays still super slow progress with leveling. It feels also that they try to waste our time much as possible.

    Open world map 3/10 (WoW sends greetings)

    Items/loot 1/10 (just boring, a lot of trash, legendary and unique items are account bound. No trading, no interaction between players). Uniques drops super rarely and better forget already that you will find a shako. Lol one of the rarest items.. Why are you doing this with a seasonal game which resets every 3 months? Diversity at the items is also super low. Gems are useless. And at the end you sell everything to the vendor for stupid gold. NO IMPROVEMENT FOR SAISON 1. Which makes useless to play the game.

    Classes 3/10 (not much diversity with skills, just look how boring everything looks. No big effects all this things, nothing new.)

    Leveling:4/10 (just too long. I dont want to play 50 hours until I finished the story. You want in the endgame, complete your build fast as possible and then getting new loot.)

    Mobs: 3/10 (a lot of mobs which are stunning, pushing and what ever else they are doing. Low diversity in the endgame)

    Interface 3/10 (to much tabs, not enough space, What the **** is this sh*t with the sigils and the exp potion. Why is there not more space?

    Graphic 6/10 (it is fine, but not spectacular.)

    Cooldowns 0/10. Everything has a cooldown, really everything!!!!! I hate this kind of mechanics. It makes no fun. Even the fireball has a cooldown. The mount has a cd, if you want to port in the city has a cd. Really everything...

    Nightmare dungeons: 2/10 (Omg why invented this super stupid negative characteristics of these dungeons. Especially this stupid things, like the unkillable rock which follows you and release the AoE or this stupid flash which comes from the sky and you have to protect yourself in the bubble. I mean this is ok for 1-2 runs, but latest after the 3rd time, you don't want to play this anymore)

    There are way better and real ARPGS out there. And some of them are for free...
    Don't waste your money and time with this game. Maybe in 1-2 years after million of patches, it can work. But I don't believe it. The game somehow is super boring, especially in the endgame and also on the great "open world". They could have implement some nice and stunnings things.

    They are just trying to steal your lifetime. That is all. There are better things to waste your time!!

I truly hoped for the real D2 sequel, but it will probably never come true. Damn, $100 down the drain! Do not waste your time or money on this!!!

    I played Diablo 1 when I was younger, and Diablo 2 in college. Probably my favorite game of all time. I played a lot of WoW, and dusted off the battle.net authenticator to hop on D3 a few years back. I was excited for D4, and honestly it sorta did deliver what I expected.

    So. I played HC Barbarian and have stopped at level 87. There's just kinda nothing more to do. I don't think I'll ever beat the Final Boss (no spoiler), but everything else is pretty easy. And be easy I mean boring. And by boring I mean repetitive. Basically the only thing to do is run nightmare dungeons over and over, only pick up the ancestrals for the gear slots you need, and then quickly scan to see if you can get 64% vulnerable damage instead of the 62% you're currently rockin. Sell sell sell, back to dungeon. When you enter a dungeon, you will have to do three tasks. You will have to A) Kill all monsters in this area, B) Pick up X things and deliver them to Y, C) Kill Z number of elite monsters, and then finally, D) Kill the mini-boss of the dungeon. The name of the dungeon doesn't matter, because you're going to do some combination of A/B/C/D. Sometimes there's backtracking, sometimes there's not. If there's two winches to hoist, they'll be one to the left and one to the right. If there's three elites to kill, there will be three paths and one at the end of each path. If there's 6 prisoners to free, just know that exactly the same sized little groups of monsters will spawn each time you free one. It is all very controlled and very predictable. You will do a nightmare dungeon at level X-54 and you will finish in 6 or 7 minutes and then you will quickly sell loot and do the next one. Every few hours a unique will drop, and it will be utter trash 9 times out of 10, and not trash but not usable on the 10th time.

    The end game is boring. In the last thirty hours of play, the most fun I had was in a dungeon where i accidently pulled two elite groups and The Butcher made an appearance. It felt like, "Oh damn, this is scary, I gotta focus and manage my cooldowns here!" Otherwise, pull one group, pop CDs, they die. Wait four seconds and pull next group, pop CDs, they die. Repeat repeat repeat. It's really boring.

    I liked the campaign up to level 50, I liked the helltides and progression through nightmare. I liked the altars of lilith. But it just grinds to a ... well... grind. I got to remember a little bit of the D2 magic, and the game is beautifully rendered. But ultimately it is soulless. There's no chaos, there's no power. It's just bite sized bits of monsters in an ultimately pointless grind. All games are pointless I guess, but it's nice when it takes you longer to figure that out.

    I don't regret playing, but I won't play any more. Game lacks a soul. It's utterly predictable. Even the side quests, you just have no choice but to do exactly what they say. Murder 7 people who disagree with the NPC you've been helping? SURE THING! They could have done more with this game. It's fine, but it's not better than D2, and it's 20 years later.

    Oh, I do like the paragon board. It's fun, but it's the only thing that feels like progress from level 73 on.

    I am done with Blizzard and their downward spiral of game design - clearly their interest in revenues and profit has affected their ability to provide quality any more. Diablo 4 offers no innovations at all, nor does it impress with creativity. There is a complete lack of attention to detail and that is a real shame.
    In the game itself, the player level almost doesn't matter. Everything on the map scales with the player level. So the most important thing is simply the equipment. The skills and the level itself can be more or less neglected.
    As already mentioned above, this game costs at least 70€... Measured against this price, it is total rubbish.

    Diablo 4 gives me the impression that it was developed for the small-minded gamer who has no ambitions and doesn't want to think. The main thing is to spend money on overpriced skins.

    The story is overrated in my opinion and that alone does not justify this price. I can't recommend this game to anyone.

Most of the people i played with were not at level 100 when season 1 started some of which played every day and were only level 85-90, and that includes multiple sessions of party co-op, nightmare dungeons and helltide events.

    Then, blizzard decided to nerf the xp which was already an issue in my opinion. I don't have unlimited time to play the game nor do i want to play this game exclusively. According to d4armory, I had more than 3 days played or 72 hours before or at level 60-ish. I can't check now because battle net is down as i am writing this.

    There have been a few network issues since launch, which I won't blame blizzard for too much, but network delay seems to affect the player and enemies/creatures/npcs in a different way. the game doesn't slow down for both player and creatures, the player character starts to glitch and teleport or stand still but the monsters keep there pace which leads to unresponsive game play and deaths when the server is not cooperative or being DDOS-ed.

    Other times, Diablo 4 feels like a mess. Here is my laundry list of complaints... Paid early access is not something I want to support. $70 price tag is too high for a digital game. $70 games should not have in-game shops, microtransactions or a battle pass. Always online functionally feels really bad when there are frequent server issues. Level scaling makes the game feel like I'm always at the exact same power level. Tying world tier 3 to finishing the campaign means that doing anything except the main storyline means you're playing the game wrong. The game never feels hard. I'm playing with friends but it feels like I'm not incentivized to actually play with them. The paragon system feels way too confusing to try to optimize. It almost always feels like I'm guessing when trying to decide if a piece of gear is an upgrade. Changing specs feels like a chore. Ultimate abilities often feel too weak for their long cooldowns timers. It feels wrong that you can poison rocks or cause skeletons to bleed. Gems take up too much bag space.

    I'm currently level 57. Maybe I'll get to level 100, or more likely I'll lose interest over the next week or two and stop.

    Update: I got to level 81. Patch 1.1 feels like a slap in the face. No QOL improvements. Massive nerfs to dps, survivability, xp gain, self healing, cdr, gear affixes, helltides, and more. I uninstalled and gave up my season 1 plans because I can’t support a game or company that thinks this is okay. Changing my previous rating of 5/10 to 2/10.

    Possibly I missed some but looking through my entire inventory every 10-15 minutes for stupidly small upgrades before selling or dismantling them got boring incredibly fast. I would have to check 4 stats on every item, check which is BiS for the build, compare to my current gear, figure out if I can reroll one stat to make it better etc. Most of the time when you can reroll a stat, you get 3-4 attempts and don't get anything good then it costs 1 million+ gold to continue rerolling so you just scrap it.

    I had pushed to lv96 before the season 1 update and was somewhat still enjoying it for short bursts of play but since the update my character has become laughably weak. I could push nightmare dungeons 20ish levels above my character as a whirlwind barbarian (not anywhere near as high as other classes could) and now I'm struggling to manage 5 levels above without dying multiple times.

    The story was good and the CGI scenes were amazing but if I was given the choice of going back before I spent 70 quid on this, given the direction it is heading, I would not buy it again.

    Negatives: Repetitive annoying dungeon objectives. Renown - once its acceptable, cant imagine doing it again. Its gives me WoW Chorelands vibes and that is not good(PTSD trigger). Devs are very fast on nerfing stuff (like mob density in dungeons) but very slow on buffing stuff like higher nightmare dungeons XP gain. Inventory and stash space are terrible and will not be fixed even in season 1. Levelling above 80 feels more like Vanila WoW than ARPG. Drops are also terrible. Did not get single upgrade for like 15 hours. If seasons are anything like this there is zero chance I will play them. Full respec price (talents+paragon) is crazy expensive. I have 40 mill gold and I could fully respec like twice. Which means I cant experiment with my own builds. Have to copy some tested build from the internet and even then have to think twice.

    I also dont like paid cosmetic battlepass being exclusive to seasons - first you pay for it, then you have to grind it for 80 hours and on top of that you have to create new character for it. Like what? OW2 has seasonal battlepass which starts and ends with ranked season and yet you can grind it in unranked. No game with paid battlepass forces you to play one specific mode.

    This game has huge potential. Like in my original 9/10 review - it can get there. Question is when and if. Right now its like 2 games in one. First one (story+early endgame up to 70 or even 75lvl) is fine. Endgame (80+) is just terrible. Does not respect your time and effort, is repetitive and hollow.

    EDIT2: OK, 1.1 patch is up, read the patchnotes, played the game. They somehow downgraded the whole game. Now there is the biggest d**k in the salad. Stinks like WoW BfA and SL. Devs vision is terrible. Game over.

    The game just isn't worth its price and name. In fact this game is just a reskin of D3 with elements of freemium online mmorpgs/mobile rpgs. I can not believe it took more than 10 years to reskin D3 and add the most hated freemium game mechanics into it.
    In short there is no place for strategy and fun: everything is linear, precalculated and adapts to your character.

    PROS:
    - decent visuals (not as good for a 2023 AAA title though);
    - decent character view customization;
    - amusing boss-fight mechanics;
    CONS:
    - drop and difficulty adaptation to your character;
    - no character stats system;
    - linear corridor-ish levels;
    - no character development strategy is needed: you can redistribute skills anytime/anywhere;
    - freemium games-like primitive quests - kill 20 bats, collect 10 rat tails etc;
    - no differences between classes except necromancer;
    - replaced an old-school cell-based inventory with a mainstream casual item-based one;
    - world adaptation is so absurd that every player on a level sees mobs level different (your character level + 2);
    - mostly the only difference between mob types is just how they look. Variety is fake;

    For an APPG the combat is repetitive, buildcrafting is limited and the gameplay boring and lacks any real sense of power fantasy. Exp progression is very slow and yet, Blizzard has decided to nerf it to make the game even more grindy. On top of that, loot is uninspired and the game doesn't want to award it to you.

    The UI is a complete step backwards from Diablo 3. In game customisation and reforging is so expensive, you can spend your entire worth and still not get an affix you want. Unlike Diablo 3, the game doesn't tell you possible affixes you can re-roll.

    Diablo 2 and 3 has set items to seek out, with unique bonuses when you matched sets. Diablo 4 doesn't have that. God knows why? Maybe to keep as a carrot dangling for the future to keep people playing.

    Speaking of that. The game seems to have been designed to keep Daily Average Users. They have nerfed major sources of EXP that players found. They nerfed exp gain in general. They just nerfed all major classes in the game and reduced the power of all of the meta builds. They have held off adding set items. Why? Why nerf player power and progression, unless you wanted to slow it all down in order to keep people playing longer.

    Well the opposite has happened. We see this skinner box for what it is. It is a shallow version of the two better prequels. At least in Reaper of Souls, the Diablo team back then leaned into giving players a sense of power fantasy and let us have fun with crazy, powerfui builds. It was fun.

    Fun. That is something Diablo 4 lacks.

    An ARPG game should last for hundreds of hours. After a week of playing, I'm already tired of Diablo 4. Only good thing about this game is lore around Lilith and Inarius. Unfortunately, what is most important in this genre, here is very poor designed. Itemization and character development are very shallow. They cannot be easily fixed without rebuilding the entire game. Dungeons are copy paste. So what if there are over 100 of them, since there are far fewer unique types. QoL gives the impression that no one has played this title before the premiere. Inventory management, horse riding, etc. are just terrible. I don't believe Blizzard will fix the game because for many years of development has been unable to identify and correctly implement the absolute fundamentals of the genre. I ordered a preorder and I regret it very much, Blizzard taught me an effective lesson that you must pay for your own stupidity.
    Level scaling feels just horrible, your gameplay is the same on level 20 and level 70. Game constantly gives a feeling that no one has played and tested endgame. Renown system is so bad that I don't even wat to do it once, when I am thinking of repeating this in seasons I don't want to play this title at all. I am so disappointed. It feels like they have published totally unfinished game with placeholders instead of real systems. 3/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is just incredibly bland and boring. The tubing of nothing makes sense, everything that makes Diablo the games they are is made worse for a lackluster pseudo mmo experience.

    From the boring itemization, dungeons, and lack of story resolution of any plot points, to the walking everywhere. The game manages to be too easy while not making you feel strong or awesome. The bosses are dpa sinks, that drop so much health you can do most of them without moving at all even as a squishy mage with glass Canon and crappy gear.

    The story doesn't resolve anything while being nonsensical, the characters make stupid choices and claim various stupid reasons as motivations that are hard to believe.

    Theyy added a lot of "content" but it is boring, tedious content just to make you waste time most of all. Mounts are a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist. Teleport points are terribly distributed. Not to mention that mounts are bugged and often slow you down instead.

    Items are just unfun.

    They made this big map, which, for me, had the ironic effect of making the world feel small. You walk from city to city fairly fast, from desert to moh tain peaks.it feels like you could easily see the city you came from at any exotic locations, if the isomorphic view wouldn't prevent it.

    Itemization is boring. Level scaling is the worst thing in the world if you care at all about progression. Resistances don't do anything!!! Who designed this garbage. As a long time Diablo fan I am so disappointed.

    Diablo IV is a travesty. People call this a return to form for the series, that's it's similar to Diablo II. Wrong. The game is Diablo 3 2.0 without the years of patches that made that game good. This is an unfinished game and it sucks!!!!

Overall there's not much in this game to keep you playing and after leveling one character through that 50-100 you don't even what to start another class and do it again! PvP is a joke, people running one shot or one button builds doing millions to billions of damage in one hit while a Necro minion build does not even do a fraction of that damage unless you run a brain dead meta build. The seasons in D3 worked, the seasons in D4 will not with this current paragon leveling system. Gameplay and graphical presentation (to a degree) is great. It’s the Diablo you know only shinier unfortunately that’s where the good news ends.

    The story is horrifically mid and riddled with pacing problems apart from a single kick-ass cutscene we saw half of in promo material.

    Class variation is horrifically stunted due to issues inherent on how the game calculates damage and every single build and class revolves around the same thing. Get crit as close to 100% and add crit damage and take everything you can and every skill you can to maintain as close to 100% vuln uptime as possible. Because these two stats are multipliers of your damage they will always be required.

    This means that any skill that applies vulnerability is insta slotted in at the cost of any real player choice. Would you like to play the game doing the most damage or play one handed in the name of “fun”.

    (With patch 1.1 the devs stated they wanted to leases the reliance on these stats by reducing their availability in scaling however completely missed the mark in addressing that when they are seperate sole sources of multipliers, they will always be reliant upon)

    There is an increasingly obvious ammount of missing QoL things. Things as simple as graphical indications of buffs and debuffs share exactly the same icons making it impossible to see at a glance what is what, glyphs, a system on the paragon board after level 50 suffers the same issue. One glyph will be completely different from another in its function but looks exactly the same graphically to 4 others making it annoying to find what you’re looking for and no search function.

    The same applies for gear. Which by the way the special unique equipment (which for the most part are not “build defining” as advertised pre launch) not only share a slightly different colour to other gear but share icons and most of the time actual models on your character. The open world is very reminiscent of an mmo-lite. However that’s where any resemblance of mmo-lite ends. There’s almost no social features, no group finder or anything you’d expect other than a superficial clan and friends list and a chat box no one uses. No trading and no dungeon grouping.

    Price (70+) - For reference, Baldur's gate 3 released at $60
    Itemization - Wayy too many useless stats with too specific requirements to utilize
    Getting one shot too often: My partner gets one shot wayyy too often on Barbarian. Only reason I survive is keeping my distance on Necromancer and making my pets tank.
    The huge nerf: Contributes to above issue, and has made killing bosses take far more time than necessary. Post survivability nerfs, my necromancer feels even more like a glass cannon
    Drop rates: Season 1 has quests to complete which require you to get an item with a 3% drop rate from a crafted box item, that had no other way to acquire it until a recent hotfix basically letting everyone know they had the drop rate at 3% and bumped it up to 15%. Absolutely no reason for that low of a drop rate to begin with. Absolutely a huge middle finger to their players.
    Legendaries: I feel no happiness from finding legendary drops anymore. They have turned into aspects only and nothing really special about them anymore. The aspects just take up so much space.
    No real crafting: Can craft potions and some of the seasonal mechanic items. No gear crafting
    Price of premium currency: Intentionally set the price point so you either have to buy 2 of a cheaper pack and have too much currency, or 1 of a more expensive pack and... still have leftover currency with no way to use it (nothing cheap enough)
    Season pass doesn't provide enough premium currency to purchase next pass. Actually doesn't provide you enough to do much of anything with.
    Performance: Servers still feel Beta quality with lots of rubberbanding unless I play at non-peak times to avoid this.
    Horses: Still bugged where if I mount my horse in town and exit town, more often than not I can't use my speed boost (bugged out). Have to dismount the horse and wait 10 seconds, then mount again. Also 10 second wait to mount horse again or 30 seconds if you get hit too much and knocked off.
    Uniques: Only found 1 that was good enough to use. The rest seem somewhat uninspired and underwhelming
    Skills: Skills feel underwhelming, and the modifiers you can level up for a skill feel like they could have just been folded into the skill and provide the bonuses as you level a skill up. The modifiers should have let you change the skill like in Diablo 3 where I can turn say Spirit Barrage from a channeled attack to an AOE, or to a summon type skill to suit my build and play style.
    Leveling: Takes so long for no reason except to extend game time. Recently played Diablo 3 again and I can get from 1-70 in a single day. Maybe find a happy medium between a single day and the current slog fest. They even nerfed the ability to power level your friends just to make it take even longer.
    Almost every change since Season 1 has been designed to extend the time it takes to accomplish anything. Before Season 1, it wasn't the best, but it's gone considerably downhill.

    The game was visually pleasing, and the story was pretty good. Going through the campaign took a decent amount of time, but that's where the good ends. The inability to go back and kill bosses after completing the campaign, the fact every dungeon is the same and that its the only thing to do leave it a repetitive mind numbing game with next to no replay-ability. When you compare D2 to D4 you really see the lack of replay-ability and creativity that went into the game.

    The start of the game was a pleasant surprise and gives false hopes that the developers have drawn conclusions from d3. however, for almost two months they did not fix the most annoying problems. the last patch showed that they had no idea for the game making it even worse.

    Decepcionante. No hay evolución. En muchas cosas más bien involución.
    Poco interesante, el endgame no motiva a seguir jugándolo, la segunda mitad de la campana estás deseando que se termine.
    Una pena.

    I tried so hard to like this game but after 252 hours I want to be sincere to myself and admit it. Minimum 3 hard crashes during a 4-5 hour playsession, often server lag, bugs, bad mechanics, itemization, risk/reward and overall fun. Fun to frustration ratio I will rate it 2 out of 10 in this state.

    Do NOT let the positive reviews from hardcore fanboys fool you. This game is an unfinished copy paste mess rotten at the core made to make as much money with as little effort as possible.
    Not to mention the boring repeating content, campaign is meh (more like an intro). Engame is boring, systems are garbage or straight up broken. The recent patch has also shown how absolutely incompetent

The recent patch has also shown how absolutely incompetent and out of touch the devs are bringing only more issues, not to mention the tons of new bugs introduces with season 1. This game is early access at best, there is no PTR, players just need to suffer in this game at the expense of their incompetence. The online (mmo) aspect is a gimmick, you still play alone, it doesn't matter, no body gives a **** it just adds rubber banding because even though WoW comes from the same studio they can't manage to sync players correctly. This is THE WORST Blizzard game I've ever played and I would refund and forget if I could with 0 regrets.

    The level scaling made the game extremely easy and boring. I never felt like I was getting more powerful and every encounter felt the same. The hole game felt like a boring grind fest and every interesting part took 10 to 20 hours to get to. The main focus was clearly quantity isntead of quality. The hole game has been focused around wasting your time instead of making the content fun.The level scaling made the game extremely easy and boring. Not since the NGE in Star Wars: Galaxies has a single patch so thoroughly ruined a gane. D4 wasn't good before this patch, and it's *terrible* after the patch. This team has no idea what they're doing. It might be years before D4 is in a playable state.

    D 1 and D2 were infinitely better, This game is a bad bad quality mmo that is diablo themed. IT is a boring slog where there are numerous signs of poor funsucking game design choices that were clearly made to drag out the grind even further. It is like they tried to make a arpg mmo and took the worst elements from both and smooshed them together into the utter poopshow that is Diablo IV. This should be a beta. There is virtually no endgame and what little endgame there is, is beyond tedious. I would recommend buying it on sale after several expansions have been released. Expand

    It’s almost like Diablo 4 developers are consciously fighting against everything that made classic Diablo fun. [Issue#262, p.80]

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.

    The best Blizzard launch in a long time and a worthy game to be called Diablo.
