    Despite problems with FPS, the game is the heir to Borderland two. The creators paid much attention to the weapon, it became more pleasant to shoot from the weapon. The game looks juicier, more lively, but the old spirit of the previous parts also remained. I hope the developers fix all the bugs in the future. PS: there are no microtransactions in the game.

    A few small bugs, but easily overlooked due to amazing gameplay. If you liked the other entries in the series, this cranks it up to 10. Very well done.

    I love it. Was afraid when heard that there is low rating on meta, but when i run it - i felt it. Feels like home. Loot. Smash. Hear the stories. Best world of future so far as for me.

    Borderlands 3 is phenomenal and all I could’ve wanted out of a new entry in the series. All your favorite characters return and the writing and humor is on par for what one could expect from the series. In game music is purely amazing with heavy hitting synth wave style tracks and electronic music alongside epic tracks to go with huge firefights and battles. The new Vault Hunters areBorderlands 3 is phenomenal and all I could’ve wanted out of a new entry in the series. All your favorite characters return and the writing and humor is on par for what one could expect from the series. In game music is purely amazing with heavy hitting synth wave style tracks and electronic music alongside epic tracks to go with huge firefights and battles. The new Vault Hunters are fantastic, I’ve grown very attached to Zane and love how he converses with different characters. The amount of guns on show is fantastic and varied, no doubt even at 1000 hours of play will any one player see every gun on offer. Weapons also sound punchy and visceral taking a cue from Borderlands 1 weapons instead of the weak sounding Borderlands 2 guns. Character customization is expanded with all new heads and skins as well as getting to choose your own colors for everything. Weapons are now customizable with different skins and little trinkets you can equip to them for flair, there are no micro transactions, it is all purchased with one of the in game currencies called “Eridium”. I’ve been playing through the game on a base Xbox one and have encountered practically zero issues, only one so far being that certain vehicles don’t have an engine sound to them unless they’re on their respective planets where they were obtained. Borderlands 3 is slowly making its way to the top spot as my favorite game of all time, even beating out Metal Gear Solid 3. If you’re a huge fan of the series then this is a definite buy, and if you’re wanting to get into the series this is definitely a great starting point.… Expand

    I'm gonna give it a 9 simple because I really enjoy this game. And I mostly enjoy playing with my friends. Sure, there are some stuttering issues, but that doesn't stop us from playing. There are some bugs and glitches but nothing game breaking. And so what if it's from the Epic Store? Honestly I love this game with over 25 hours in, and I have to say I will be putting many more hours, But no launch can be perfect. I haven't been experiencing glitches like others but I have been experiencing bad optimization with a gtx 1080 getting around 110 fps to around 70 to 65 fps on high settings.     I am running this on PC with a GTX970. I am having no problems running the game.
    Borderlands 3 is a great game. It is more Borderlands and has the feel of the Borderlands worlds. Tons of loot and bad jokes. You should buy and play this game.

    Awful connection. Shift always falls off. So many years and nothing has changed.
    The inventory is made worse,
    the settings are worse,
    the map is worse,
    you have to hang the ux designer by the balls.

    Quem é fã vai curti o jogo. Jogabilidade excelente bem divertido em jogar com amigos ou solo.
    Jogando no PS4 Pro - Teve lag - bug - queda de Frame. Mas nada que Impossibilitou de jogar.
    Se jogo estive tudo OK, certeza nota 9,0
    Para quem jogou BL1 e BL2 - te que jogar.

    The storyline is pretty bad, and not being able to skip cutscenes etc. gets annoying. The characters are also not as interesting as the previous Borderlands games. Gameplay wise it is a good game though, and if you don't care much about the story, this might even be the best Borderlands for you since the core gameplay remained the same, they just improved it a little.

    After taking that long to release a new game, they put out a game that could’ve been rushed out a few years after BL2. Minimal improvements, worse writing, AND they made most PC gamers wait a year unless we want to start on a separate store. Hard pass.

    It's. Solid. Not great, but Solid The characters are worse, the guns can feel better or worse, the SMG's and assault rifles are very good, Maliwan weapons aren't. I don't think this should be the considered a best game. It's nowhere near the greatness that was Borderlands 2; 2/3rds of the way through the game.

Everything is fresh and while it stays true to its roots without taking any risks (which for some isn't enough) it's still highly enjoyable. I could care less about a story line in a shooter, especially one that is a loot-shooter. I'm here for the gear upgrades and the guns. Besides, it's the only loot-shooter on the market that does it right. I got exactly what I paid for, Borderlands. The overall reviews of the critics have it right this time. The users are a bunch of butt-hurt ibuypower pc buying neckbeards.    … Expand

When you introduce highly annoying sidekick and forget about a bunch of old but good ones. When you exploit too much of an old hero.     It is not a real problem, grow up, get out of your basement.
    Humor is dated but it is very hard to stay up to date with internet humor, especially when you are making a game. I respect them actually trying.
    Guns have been marginally improved even if the order of magnitude is lesser than from BL1 to BL2.
    They must have actually hired a boss designer because bosses are a real pleasure to fight.
    Massive amounts of content. Worth the asking price.

    Borderlands 2 with even worse writing. Their style of humour hasn't aged well. Even if you were to remove all the dialogue and cutscenes, the underlying gameplay is bland, the shooting is mediocre, and the UI is awful.

    First off, can't say anything about the graphics/fps lag mainly due to me having a 2080, however I can justify for the random crashes and having some bugs such as mission completion, weapon reloading bugs, etc. To be honest, the reason why this is a 5 not a 3 is because well its a borderlands game and within the franchise.

I personally play borderlands mainly for the story, partly for the guns and loot base grinding, however I would say borderlands 3 has one of the most underwhelming stories in the entire franchise. The characters are bland and have no particular backstory, and none of the characters really translate into the past character's playstyle (except maybe moze the gunner to axton). The game feels heavily repetitive and the maps of different planets are boring, bosses are too easy, and overall this doesn't feel like a standard borderlands game with loot grinding and a good story. It just feels like the devs rushed this game to sellout into the market to be part of the borderlands franchise.

    However there are some pros:
    + beautiful graphics
    + borderlands style "cheesy" comedy
    + side quests are relatively good

    This game is awesome. If you like Borderlands you will enjoy Borderlands 3 for sure. People are even speaking about graphics as a bad point. WTF looks 32035350% times better than the other borderlands games.

    The only problem (and very big one) is the performance. They for sure will update it so enjoy the game even on Epic Games Store.

    I was extremely surprised to see just how negative the reception to this game was. I have put in roughly 10 to 15 hours so far since launch and I've loved every second of it. It's more Borderlands but with much smoother shooting and movement. Its not doing a lot different but thats not a negative to me. I'm having a blast playing through the campaign. Performance wise I haven't really hadI was extremely surprised to see just how negative the reception to this game was. Its not doing a lot different but thats not a negative to me. I'm having a blast playing through the campaign. Performance wise I haven't really had an issue. Im running an rtx 2080, 9700k and 16gb of ram @ 3440x1440p at a mixture of high and medium settings and im getting an average of 100 fps. In certain areas it drops to the low 90s and in other areas im maxing out my monitors refresh rate at 144 fps. A quick look through the user reviews for this game and it seems like im the only one who isnt having performance issues. Day one the game ran worse that it does now, Im pretty sure gearbox updated the game on the 14th and that seemed to boost my performance quite a bit, so im assuming the negative performance reviews came before this patch. If you are expecting a completely new and unique experience you will be disappointed, if like me you just wanted more borderlands then you wont be disappointed.… Expand

    This is an actual review from someone else here, who gave it a perfect 10. Games with so many bugs, frame rate problems, unplayable splitscreens, and other things don't deserve a 10. I'm a big Borderlands fan- The 2nd game is one of my favorite games of all time and is rightfully thought of as a classic.

    There are many problems with the current iteration of BL3 though, so if I were you I'd toss all these recent "10" reviews out the door. Don't believe the corporate schills who've been sent in to try and mitigate this launch disaster- This is an enjoyable game 1) if you play solo and 2) when it works correctly. Menu lag is really bad across all platforms. Items can randomly permanently disappear from your stash forever. Your PC may crash while playing. Your CONSOLE may crash while playing. Resolution mode is included for those with a PS4 Pro yet is laggy as hell on the actual PS4 Pro and doesn't run properly.

    The guns themselves feel better this time around. Shotguns & hand grenades in particular are really powerful-feeling and great. The map areas are very huge and kind of force you to use vehicles to get around, so if you're not too keen on the "Borderlands driving mechanics" you may not like this. Sanctuary's layout (the hub level) is overly-complicated and confusing for a good while. The story is not good overall and many of the new NPCs are terribly-written. Thank god for Lilith at least!

    It's too bad Gearbox and 2K seem to be more focused on selling us the next DLC rather than fix their broken game that was rushed out the door.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Borderlands 3 is an entertaining, enjoyable and overall great sequel to the games that came before.

    I'm not intending to lie in this review, so yes, the performance on Day 1 wasn't what I would have expected to get from my machine, however by the time I was back from work on release day, they had already implemented a patch that seemed to have remedied the problem, now the only "Issue" is a slight stutter when loading areas (Which happens in 99.99% of all games)
    I now however get a consistent 70 frames on my rig which I can't complain about given its a 3 year old machine.

    Story wise: The story introduces a good number of new characters that aren't just knock-offs of other characters we've seen in the past games, there are several returning vault hunters and associates, though they're not as central to the story and self-referrential as compared to borderlands 1 to 2.
    The baddies of this game posess an interesting new power that's a change up from BL2, the combo of twin enemies is a refreshing mixup and gives them a good sense of rapport with one another, though it does sometimes feel they were working towards something else with their arcs and abandoned it at the last second. They are however brilliantly charismatic and also formidable, I found myself routinely wondering at what point they may pop up next to antagonize me.

    Gameplay: The QOL UI and Movement updates have made a big change in how playing the game feels with regards to menuing and getting around the map, having buttons to quick buy full ammo & full heal at vending machines is a brilliant addition, and sliding allows you to make combat more dynamic and have a bit more fun with yourself.
    It seems like there was a much larger variety in terms of drops and gun types/combinations and through my first playthrough I was able to test so many different combos and mechanics. The legendary droprate seems reasonable, I seemed to get a legendary drop from around 1/5 of the bosses, and the guaranteed quest legendaries were fun and unique.
    Quest wise there hasn't been a huge update from the format of questing in the previous instalments of the franchise, however it hasn't been made any worse in any significant aspect either.
    The scale of the game feels like it's been greatly increased, with the travel via your new spaceship to different planets and multiple vaults, it always felt like something fresh was being added whenever you travelled somewhere new.

    The voice acting as always is fantastic and the characters are incredibly fun to interact with (since when are they ever not in borderlands)

    The main thing I really noticed changed though is the music. Holy heck is the music insanely improved in this game, you can see in the trailers a boss that has fantastic musical based fight, and the same quality of boss music and general combat/driving music is present throughout the whole game.

    This brings me to my two gripes that I have with the game (hence why it's getting a 9)
    The first one is the "sirenification" of many characters, the reveal of Tannis being a siren was cool, however I can't help but feel that her abilities are basically just Angel's abilities from BL1 and 2, It would have been nice if there was a more hard link introduced about Angel's powers somehow choosing a new host or something along those lines, but instead it feels strange to know that for the entirety of BL2 Tannis could have probably been a whole lot more useful. It felt a lot like they could have leaned into it in the same way as Maya's powers tranferred to Ava but oh well. It was cool that the Calipsos were sort of a combined siren and their power was unique in itself, however having quite so many sirens all within the same storyline did feel like it diminshed how rare and important sirens had been made out to be in the previous games (Probably didnt help that I was also playing siren). Maybe if the calipsos had a kind of eridian tech that allowed them to absorb the powers instead of it being another siren power that could have made it feel a bit better for me.

    The other gripe is the final boss, which felt rather underwhelming. "The destroyer" which was claimed to be able to eat stars, and required the extinction of the eridian race as well as the power from 4 vaults to seal away... wasn't really any stronger that any of the other realeased vault monsters. It felt like out of a fight between the Warrior from BL2 and the Destroyer the warrior probably would have won.

    Other than that however I've thoroughly enjoyed almost every other aspect of the game. I've played for 48 hours according to EGL, and don't regret a moment of it or a single penny spent. Will look forward greatly to the coming DLC's and finishing up true vault hunter!

    The Game feels nice and the gunplay is really fun. I haven't encountered any big bugs jet and I'm almost at the end. The framerate could be better and the inventory loading screens are bit laggy but overall not to bad considering that they most likely patch this in the near future.

    Game could be good but is unplayable due to crashing and bugs. Even 1,5 months after release and tousends of complaints there are no fixes. Do not buy this game until this is fixed.

Я ставлю минимальные настройки графики, получаю в среднем 135 fps и 1-2 микрофриза в секунду, что делает невозможным нормально стрелять и получать от этого удовольствие.     The gameplay is amazing, I love the new unique guns that they’ve sprinkled in as a joke/spice to the gameplay, and there are some really cool bosses and mini-bosses in this game. The only con is the villains are so annoying, but when you have a villain that you like as much as you hate in Handsome Jack, can’t really fault them for trying a new idea.

The story is engaging, the art is sharper, the sound(track) is enjoyable, the locations are fun to explore, and then there is the guns. This game has seeming endless hours of mowing down enemies (+/-) with beautiful looking guns that have different featuresALMOST everything Borderlands 2 did, Borderlands 3 has done better. I hope this game goes down as a classic and an improvement on the previous entries of the series, because it has instantly become one of my favorites.     The game is everything I hoped for... unlike Destiny 2, which I have played a lot, there is actually a story (though silly and uninspiring) , and lots of different weapons to grid for. Also, my character has dialogue and a personality. I truly enjoy the improved player movement, and weapon feel.

    The game is very nice been playing it for 5 hours now and i can say at least the gameplay its the best in the saga so far the guns feel very nice and skills too everything is very fluid, but the performance is really really poor i run the game with 40-45 fps in ultra 4k with a 2080ti and i7 9700k and for a game with this visual this is unacceptable.

    Super fun to play and great changes ... there are some bugs here and there and some frame drops when I open the menu but I think this will be fixed in a few days..

    Отличное продолжение серии, а что она на EGS вышла - так не велика беда... GOG значит все ставят с БаттлНетом, а EGS лаунчер - ой фуфуфу... ну как бы такое себе, ребят... а всякие лутбоксы - ну, таково время, щас это везде...

    It's Borderlands, it's fun, better with friends, funny, jokes that make you giggle and feels good to progress and get better gear.

    And a very good thing:
    No microtransactions! (despite what the bombs are trying to say...)

    It's worth it!

    Let's start simple.

    I'm playing on an i7-7700k CPU with a 1080ti GPU. I get about 100 FPS on 1080p/Ultra, and 65-75 FPS on 1440p/Ultra.

    Now let's just do a pros and cons bit.

    Pros:
    --Massively improved movement (sliding/mantling make a ton of difference)
    --Gunplay feels great. Very low recoil on most weapons, but they did away with the "low accuracy means you shoot directly at a guy and hit everything within 50 feet of him" nonsense.
    --Many characters' stories continue from BL2/Tales.
    --Zero crashes, 15+ hours into the game
    --Humor is exactly what you'd expect from a BL game. Poking fun at everything pop culture, including but not limited to: gaming, streaming, and even their own games.
    --Far more interesting talent trees, with WAY more unique options and ways to play.
    --Gun variety. Of course. Even special abilities on guns that, in previous games, would have only been available on a single unique can now show up on ARs, SMGs, shotties, snipers...you name it!
    --User Interface is GREAT! Even more polished and easy to read than previous games. Simple audio cues for MANY things like when your action skill is about to be off cooldown!
    --BOSS BATTLES! I haven't found a TON of challenge on them yet...but on "normal" difficulty, I didn't expect to. They're fast paced, frantic, with tons of mechanics to learn too. I may have found a couple super OP weapons as well that helped on a couple of the tougher ones.

    Cons:
    --Minor UI bugs (that may have already been patched). Day 1, a couple hours in, some things were saying to press "6" to use something instead of "E". Still pressed "E". Still worked.
    --Start on Pandora. I feel the way the last BL2 DLC ended, they had to do this...but I think it's turning a lot of people off (because we were all promised new locations). Don't worry, it's only a few hours, and still, in my opinion, a great way to show off all the upgrades to the game.
    --Confusing options. Windowed borderless forces VSync on, I stream in 1080p, but play offline in 1440p, and every time I swap, it tries to put the game on my second monitor and I have to make it windowed, drag it over, and reset the resolution. Also, driving is typical Borderlands, and the option to make it WASD based (even for keyboard) is in the controller settings. That said, I'm used to the old "drive where your camera is facing" Borderlands method, and it's been fine for me.
    --No option to skip cutscenes? I've started 3 characters now, and the first 30 minutes or so are pretty painful after the first time (yeah, the charm wears off). I basically turn on a stream or YouTube video while playing, but it's still annoying not to have the option to skip at LEAST cutscenes at the beginning. Honestly, the ability to skip the entire intro after the first playthrough would be great (maybe start after Lilith takes you to your base?).

    Okay. So let's recap. Games came out this year like Far Cry: New Dawn, Anthem, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood that were absolute dumpster fires of games, some with full price tags and real money MTX. This game comes out, and seems to get dumped on because it's "more Borderlands."

    As a fan of Borderlands, I couldn't be happier. If you've tried other Borderlands games, this probably won't bring you to the party.    … Expand

    It's a fine new game with good graphics (compared to BL2 at least) runs smooth, constant 60fps 1080p with GTX 1060 on high settings and the core mechanics of the game remain while the pain in the arse mechanics have been improved a lot and at least UI didn't need to turn of any ransomware scans or virus protection, it's not one of those despite what the people are saying.

    This game is absolute perfection. The characters are top notch, the sound design is breath-taking, and the gameplay refines all the best aspects of the previous two games and perfects it. Easily the best game of 2019.

    Gunplay is substantially upgraded over the previous games. Environment design is cool, upgraded visuals, including higher quality textures, make everything pop. The game is fast and the characters work well together on co-op. Would recommend if you like co op shooters.

I have heard people having fps n crashes but I have been playing since yesterday on pc at ultra setting in 1440p resolution,n I have not had any crashes or fps drops and im really enjoying the game. its more borderlands basically with different characters new hunters n more weapons n all the ridiculousness n madness to expect in aI gave it a 9 based on my experience on pc so far. And the game itself didn't see game braking bugs and not much you can do wrong in game where you just shoot and loot. Ok some jokes are bad bit that's not the main goal for this game. We got 4 characters that plays different enough. But from what i see mainly all play the hunter FL4K. Huge variety of enemies with different weak spots, many different weapons. 6 hours in game and didn't felt repetitive atleast yet.    … Expand

    Awesome game, even though i have to play in DX11 its ok not a big deal. i love fl4k, he is so fun to play. it bring me back to BL1 i have been missing this. cant wait for my friend to get it so we can play together.

    Borderlands fans will love this evolution of the franchise they've known and loved. Hits all the high notes i was looking for. Good gear and skill advancement story.

    Small children throwing tantrums over this game not being on steam should be ignored. Game runs great on any rig that isn't a toaster, not a single stutter so far with my rx 580.     I'm having a good time on a GTX 1060 I5 8400 8GB RAM with 40fps - 60fps which is perfect really.

    Great gameplay, wacky as ever.

    Borderlands 3 it's borderlands, fans wait for this game, not any else. Bad reviews don't even play the game. Only 1 problem it's performance issues, hope they fix this soon.

    BORDERLANDS 3 is all the best and most interesting of the previous parts + even more interesting innovations.

    Full disclosure: this is a first impression, I have a few hours into the game and got to the second planet available in the main story.     The game is currently plagued by many technical issues. The problem I dealt with, primarily, was stuttering, particularly when aiming down weapon sights. This is an issue that may be fixed in a future patch, though the game should not have been released in this state.

    Assuming you know what older Borderlands games were like, this game is essentially a simple iteration of the Borderlands formula. Many mechanics present in previous games have been carried over and improved upon. One of the biggest improvements in core gameplay mechanics are the shooting mechanics, evidently inspired by Bungie's title - Destiny. Weapons have a much more visceral feeling to them than previous titles, due to a combination of better animations, sound design, etcetera.

    Aside from the many bugs and technical problems, how much you enjoy Borderlands 3 will depend largely on what you are actually looking for from this title. If you are simply looking for more Borderlands, this can sate your hunger, at least once the bugs are fixed. If you are looking for something more ambitious, you may want to look elsewhere.

    Performance issues? I have a 1050 with barely any ram and a budget CPU and I'm getting over 60 fps in some areas. I could barely run BL2 at a consistent 60.     I've only experienced one actual crash in my 10 or so hours while me and two friends were doing dumb **** all over the map. It saved our progress too so we didn't even lose anything.

    "It's the same as borderlands 2" It's completely different. An improvement in every conceivable way. Levels are interesting and pretty, customisation is way more free, even letting you make your own colour pallets instead of picking from premade ones. No ingame microtransactions like BL2 had.

    Climbing and sliding feel great, the new gunplay is excellent, a lot more depth than just point and shoot like in BL2. Different guns feel actually different, too.

    New vehicles are really cool. The handling feels strange at first but you get used to it quickly. The vehicles are heavily customisation too this time around.

    The visuals are massively improved from 2. I'm playing on Low and it's a far cry from BL2 on Ultra.

    Humor is more of the same, just not about things from 7 years ago.

    Some reviews are calling it SJW, some are calling it offensive, make up your minds lmao. I haven't noticed anything overly leaning towards either, aside from one admittedly funny one partway through the game.

    There's more new unique and legendary guns than you can shake a stick at, all with cool and different effects. Like a rocket launcher that shoots burgers, or an SMG that uses money as ammunition, or a Nerf gun.

    There's also no substance to any claims of malicious keyloggers or spyware. Do some research for yourself instead of parroting stuff one loser said online.

    I'm having a really good time with this game. It's such an improvement on BL2. I can definitely see myself putting lots of time into it in the future. I'd advise people to try it for themselves rather than listen to the plethora of screeching losers review bombing it because "Epic Bad"    … Expand

    I’m enjoying the game and feels great. Tighter controls then bl2 and improved animation, idk what people want from this game. I think it’s because people just like something to complain about and with the launch on epic games it’s a good canidate. Most of the reviews I’ve looked at are from people that haven’t even gotten off pandora. Another good boarderland game in my books

    This game is a great continuation of the series. The developers managed to leave the old Borderlands and at the same time create something new. This is what I understand. Great sequel. I don’t understand why people are indignant, but I really hope that such a hard start will pay off in full. The stars must shine

    Gearbox has a problem: the fantastic Borderlands 2 is too good to be beaten. But in the case of Borderlands 3, it is still more than a worthy successor. The filmmakers brought many pop-cultural references, maybe pushing too hard on how they want to be “modern”, but otherwise it's a great game again. [Issue#298]

    Borderlands 3 offers a generous experience, with colourful characters, neat gameplay and a charming universe. Its formula, very close to that of the previous episodes does not revolutionize the show but its small new features bring a little freshness and the scenario makes us want to go to the end of the adventure. Its dynamism and nervousness make it a choice piece for adrenaline-ready FPS lovers and license fans.

    The fun, humorous storyline, some great dialogue and theatrical accents of the diverse characters, beautifully varied locations and the same great gunplay that Borderlands is renowned for, means that Borderlands 3 becomes another must have title in the series.
