    I made the mistake of trying out the DirectX 12 beta mode on my PC, it made me wait as Claptrap danced (aka the initial loading screen) at the bottom of my screen for 10 minutes or more then crashed my video driver. It took me several attempts to finally be able to switch if back to DX11 mode so I could actually play the game.     Good classic borderlands series game-play, with huge amount of new weapons and ton of side quests and challenges.All that is what you should expect from borderlands game.In opposite of that is very poor story line with very VERY cringe and boring characters.But no one plays borderlands for the plot ! Most important for all series was and is game-play. That is why i LOVED this game

    Borderlands 3 is a great game they made shooting even more fun than Bl2 the story line is good and the guns and shooting is the best part if you like borderlands you'll love this

    I was a bit worried at first because of all the negativity, but I thought I better use my own judgement and see for myself.

    I love and enjoy this game as much as Borderlands 2 and have not been disapointed. So if you are a Borderlands fan there is probably a strong chance this game will appeal to you.     The gameplay has improved and thats the most important aspect to a looter shooter as I don't play for the story and the story is not to be taken seriously, anyway I think the story is ok and suits the game and sure the villains are annoying and give me the feeling of I can't wait to wipe them out which I think is good as we aren't supposed to like them.

    I have not had the game crash, but
    still the game has problems such as occasional lag and stuttering, online disconnects and hate the rotating map.

    But overall this is a 8/10 game for me. Love most things about it.    … Expand

    Borderlands 3 have some great weapons, but for some reason some manufacturers are overrepresented. The biggest problem are weapons you can get in like "revenge of the cartels" that breaks the hole game. I had the same gun for like 15levels,    Could have bin great, but the story wasn't that great.     Regardless all of all controversy around Borderlands 3, the game itself is a blast. It's graphics, peacing, humor everything is there. It's packed with action and guns and is a pure joy to play. The end game content is a little bit thin and after finishing the story I didn't felt compelled to continue playing, but the story itself was well worth investing my time.

As far as all of the issues I've read on here, I have not had any of them. I'm running an i9-9900k with a RTX 2080 and I haven't seen any issues. The game stays at a consistent 85fps going to 60fps during cut scenes. All in all, I really am enjoying this game. WouldThis is a great game!     I bought the game in December 2020.
    1. Soundtrack is 1000x better than previous games.
    2. The world is 1000x more beautiful than previous games.
    3. Gameplay and gunplay is 1000x better than previous games.
    4. Gun variety actually matters because they are actually unique and do different things.
    5. Story and dialogue and UI is the controversial part.
    6. I didn't encounter any bugs.

    I enjoy the unique atmosphere of this game: unique art style, irreverent tone. I like that it's not a constant-shooting, run and gun game. I'm interested enough to carefully watch my inventory of new items, always looking to update and improve guns and shields as soon as possible.     Let's take some time to appreciate that this game not only doesn't withhold and monetize content, but actually gives you the rewards just for playing. Despite some technical problems it's a fun and complete experience, the likes of which we don't see much anymore in the modern game market. The way games should be.

    Amazing game, better than the previous chapters. Very enjoyable and long story. Weapons are fantastic, as always. Very well done and optimized graphic. Some bugs during bosses.
    I'm wainting for borderlands 4 ;)

    First off I am certainly no fan boy of the BL series in general. I rented Borderlands 1 maybe once or twice, and have a whole 8 hours played on BL2 according to Steam. So this review is definitely for people who didn't play much of the other two games, and are sick of seeing other reviews say "If you liked the first two you'll like #3".

    I expected to hate the humor and story but I really don't. Yes the humor is silly and light, but it definitely isn't awful. I am a 31 year old dad, so I like to think of myself as a full on adult, but I haven't found this humor juvenile or non stop poop jokes. It's really not as bad as other reviews are making it out to be. Nor are the villains. Again, I didn't play BL1 or 2 enough to be able to judge Handsome Jack, but the Calypsos are fine. The plot is a bit of a cliche trope, but it's enough to keep the excellent game play moving along. If you're wanting a game for excellent plot or characters, then go with Witcher 3 or something else.

    The game play is great. Gun fighting is snappy and feels good. Visuals are nice and I have not experienced any technical issues that so many other people just give zeroes because of. I am also writing this a week after launch, so perhaps a lot of problems have been patched up. My only cons for the game would be the looting can start to feel a bit tedious, and in general bad guys can be a bit annoying with all the yelling they do over the communicator. I get that looting is a big pillar of the game, but opening chest/box after chest/box just for more ammo you don't need and    … Expand

Handsome Jack from the previous entry is such an iconic villain and the pressure of getting a good successor to him must have been one of the most stressful aspect of making the game, however the calypso twins are very bland and surface level characters that really don't see any developments as the story progresses, except doubling down of how annoying they can be. To say that they are bland villains would honestly be an understatement, and with how they play into the narrative, basically only showing up to absolutely and randomly mess with you and have your character play literally no role in the story except being an errand boy for the real main characters. The narrative really started to take a turn for the worse when you get to the "beneath the meridian" mission and really doesn't treat their characters in a fair way, to try and illustrate this without spoiling too much, they try to recreate the emotional tension from Rolands death but skip every development from his character in 2 and introduce a character that really doesn't add to the series. The bordelands series has never really been known for it's revolutionary story telling but given how the characters are treated and the massive focus on new characters it's sad to see how the best aspect of the series falls flat.

    Gameplay is amazing, story is horrible and doesn't do it's predecessor justice. If you are new to borderlands play this first, that's the best way to get the most enjoyment from its 30-50 hour story.    … Expand

    This is the best borderlands as a shooter, but there is 2 real big problems:
    1. Main story - just terrible.
    2. Characters to play are not interesting itself.

    But I like a lot how the weapon feels, the dynamics, the process of killing mobs .

    Pure and simple. This is more Borderlands! Don't expect a ground breaking evolution of the series, just enjoy an improved version of the same best fun you've experienced before. I'm really enjoying Borderlands 3 after 6 years in development and I think most Borderlands fans will as well. Enjoy yourself!

There is such a thing as "(way) too much", even in a so called "loot shooter".
    Also: How was making a game that does not take itself seriously (but alas seldom is funny), while at the same time expecting the player to follow an "epic" story to "save the universe" (while constantly being deus-ex-machina sucker punched by the oh-so-bad twins) with interest, ever going to work ? That the end boss is ridiculously easy to beat is just the icing on the cake of bad game design here.

    Only redeeming element is Ice-T, but doesn't save this mess of a game.

    Liked Borderlands 1, but this series has lost its heart a long time ago. BL is in desperate need of a reboot...    … Expand

Only paid $20 for it when it first came out and feel like I am getting more than my money's worth. Love the loot system. This game is definitely worth $30 but I wouldn't pay full price. Solid 8.5/10 from me just find it so much fun to play. Story is shallow but theI am half way through my first walkthrough 4/9/2020 and I am really enjoying this game.     The biggest negative I would have for the game is that there is too much loot and it makes it a bit overwhelming determining which weapons you want to keep and which you will sell. I would say this is much more extreme than open world games such as Fallout 4 and the Elder Scrolls franchise and can be a little overwhelming.

    Took me about 40-50 hours to complete with a moderate play of the side missions.    … Expand

    I like all of the Borderlands games: from the quite dated original game when it comes to many things, especially gameplay / gunplay, to the magnificent sequel we got with Borderlands 2, to the usually considered inferior The Pre-Sequel (which anyway had quite interesting new mechanics and small quality of life improvements), and even the quite unique Tales From the Borderlands, which wasI like all of the Borderlands games: from the quite dated original game when it comes to many things, especially gameplay / gunplay, to the magnificent sequel we got with Borderlands 2, to the usually considered inferior The Pre-Sequel (which anyway had quite interesting new mechanics and small quality of life improvements), and even the quite unique Tales From the Borderlands, which was very enjoyable and had quite an interesting story to tell.

    Now Borderlands 3 has arrived and, let me start with this: this game has amazing gunplay, vastly improving what the previous game had to offer which, in general, was considered a very good game (BL2) but with quite a bit subpar gunplay and overall feedback with most weapons. Borderlands 3 improves this so much that it’s so much more enjoyable just to play the game for the sake of shooting things, or just traveling around the levels, with the new mantle and sliding mechanics.

    As a first person shooter fan I have, in the last few years, enjoyed games like DOOM (2016), Wolfenstein: The New Order and New Colossus, Titanfall 2, RAGE 2, Quake Champions…all of those in general can be considered a good mix of both old school shooting and new modern mechanics all thrown in there for good measure. Borderlands 3 takes hints from all of these games, and probably more, and greatly improves the way we shoot at enemies, while also being able to do it while sliding like we were playing Titanfall or Quake 4 / Champions (with Slash that is), although is not “chain-able” meaning we only get one slide and then we have to run a little bit and crouch again to slide once more; it’s still quite fast because it can be enhanced via certain items, so it can really get pretty awesome in combat if you’re familiar with other games that allow similar movement mechanics. I just love it, it’s great.

    Now, the big change in BL3 though is the gunplay and its physics: man it’s amazing how the developers have taken Unreal Engine 4, and redo all of the gun mechanics from scratch for this game, so it feels fresh, more responsive and impactful than ever before in any Borderlands game. It truly is a game changer when you come from playing the older games, which are still great loot shooters, and then you see all you can do a lot better in BL3…it’s eye opening, for sure. This is what the franchise needed the most, and the developers knew it, and they have delivered.

    Now, on the loot part, there are a lot of improvements, we still have quite the crazy plethora of items, some of them doing really crazy stuff, as expected, but one of the changes I also noticed is the fact that playing the campaign for the first time on any character is a much better experience this time around, in normal difficulty that is; we seem to be getting higher quality loot this time, it feels better and more rewarding, but it’s still RNG based a bit, so the odd white item will still pop up.

    Since I play on PC, obviously a review needs to have some PC specs and performance data; I always do some thorough testing of most of my triple A games to try making them run the best for my hardware, so BL3 has been no exception. On my quite dated i5 4690K at 4.4Ghz, GTX 1070, with 16 GB DDR3 1866, Windows 7 Ultimate, the game can be tuned to run at constant 60 FPS most of the time with most settings set to Ultra, except Material Complexity (High) and Volumetric Fog (Medium). Other settings can provide a couple extra FPS here and there, but the differences are not as big as those two main settings that eat a lot of GPU power, mostly. I still can drop below 60 at times of heavy stuff happening, which combined with some stuttering (bug-related) can make it a bit annoying, but not game breaking, most of the time it stays above 50 and then back to 60.

    There’s indeed quite an annoying stuttering bug / issue when using scopes though, the developers know about it, so it’ll get patched soon enough, hopefully.

    Overall, just judging by how the game in itself is, I think it’s a must play for any Borderlands fan, or FPS fans in general that also love loot: It is very good and fun to play.

    Epic Store controversy and other shenanigans aside (I respect those who prefer Steam, It’s reasonable, the EGS launcher is just not good enough yet, plain and simple), the developers have done a great job elevating the franchise to new heights with Borderlands 3, and the stupid decisions from some number-crunching individuals from the publishing side shouldn’t tarnish all of the hard work hundreds of developers have poured into this game. It’s not perfect, but it’s Borderlands, it’s a lot more Borderlands than ever, actually, in every possible way, and Borderlands games have never been “perfect”, but yeah Borderlands 3 is really fun to play, and you can clearly notice all of the things that have been improved.

Я наиграл 25+ часов и я не понимаю людей которые пишут о каких то микротранзакциях (где хоть одна?), постоянных багах(за все сюжетку было пару раз), первый это моб застрял за защитной стеной в проходе и его невозможно было убить и пройти дальше, пришлось перезапускать, второе это вХорошая игра в том же стиле, что и предыдущие в серии. А зачем что то менять, если оно хорошо работает? Я наиграл 25+ часов и я не понимаю людей которые пишут о каких то микротранзакциях (где хоть одна?), постоянных багах(за все сюжетку было пару раз), первый это моб застрял за защитной стеной в проходе и его невозможно было убить и пройти дальше, пришлось перезапускать, второе это в инвентаре не отображается мусор (отмеченный кнопкой R) при продаже в киоске(ну это как бы мелочь). Так же не понимаю что у людей с оптимизацией и вылетами, у меня gtx2070, ryzen7 2700x, 16гб озу, 2к 144гц монитор, и все работает без сучка и задоринки, никаких вылетов и просиданий фпс нет. After some tweaks, I am able to run the game with no issues at 1440p 144hz with the only "micro stutters" that people complain about happening during major chain explosions caused by myself. Also, maybe I am just not looking hard enough, but I cannot find these microtransactions people are talking about. Maybe they are reffering to the DLC that is to be coming out, but that is not something I have a problem with, since they aren't "surprise mechanics." (Aka loot boxes). Shift keys are free from the various twitter pages, so that can't be it either. Will investigate more and have my pitchfork ready.

    For my complaint, what the actual f*** is up with this DX12 beta nonsense. I mean the extra 15 FPS is great and all, but the initial load time is really an annoyance.

    Finally, a neutral point. The jokes, they are somehow funny and unfunny at the same time, and I couldn't understand why. So I dug deep into my steam library and tried a little bit of Borderlands 2. Turns out, that game was just as funny/unfunny to me as an adult. This made me realize the jokes in the game are more of a nostalgia thing.

    All-in-all if it weren't for the DX12 load times this game would be a solid 9 of 10.    … Expand

    I thought I wouldn't enjoy this franchise anymore considering how many years have passed, but nah it's still awesome, the feel of gunplay is much better, the guns are much cooler, the graphics are gorgeous compared to previous titles, and there are so many quality of life changes; if you like borderlands or even new to this franchise, u should consider buying it

    Definitnly not a standout title but a good game nonetheless. The story is absolutely awful but the gameplay is really good. Bossfights were maybe too easy but still preety fun. Music is great and the humor is a bit forced but still okay. You will come to dislike every single character in the game.

    I enjoyed the first two, but this one is just a cringe-fest... Awful characters and awful humour (I can't really make myself calling the dialogue in the game humour - just cringy, cheesy and juvenile overworking of not funny jokes). Gameplay itself is sort of decent, but diarrhoea of loot becomes really annoying really fast. I haven't even finished it and to be fair don't even want to,I enjoyed the first two, but this one is just a cringe-fest... Still, gearbox clearly tried well in adapting their 10 year old franchise to today's market. Try making three masterpieces in a row. Did anybody ever accomplish such a feat? Rating this game a 0 because of a missing vertical splitscreen is just one reason why you should always take user score with a grain of salt. This game obviously is not finished and has a lot of problems, that have to be resolved by gearbox. For that reason i think it's fair to give this game a low score, also to make them aware of these issues. Still, i enjoy Borderlands 3 and once the early issues have been resolved i'd gladly update my rating to an 8.… Expand

The game is amazing the story is ok but the characters and customization, gunplay, and variety of guns and items is where the game really shines. Yes an optimization patch is badly needed however I really haven’t experienced any bad frame rate drops and I’m playing on Xbox one x. (It’s nice watching pc players squirm). ThisSo many fools rating this game so I decided to give my 2 cents.     With that out of the way, I'd like to quickly give my impressions/opinions on some parts of BL3 people seem to really hate this time around:
    The Humor: Everybody's a critic, huh? Its pretty much mostly the same "type" of joke/humor that BL2 had, so if you were idk hoping for some sort of "innovation" or even for them to have "gotten better as to land more higher quality jokes" then yes you will be disappointed. I loved BL2 but lets be honest, not EVERYTHING was a riot, and i think its very translatable to how BL3 works. The reason I liked the humor overall in BL2 and now BL3 is because even if its not funny, just the attempt sort of lightens up the tone for whatever you are doing in juxtaposition to the usually violent and gory reality of what you're doing, and i appreciated that.
    The Guns: Again, they added a ton of new weapon parts and new mechanics to so many weapons, and even made them feel much better in my opinion, but i just don't think everyone was ready for it to still be just randomly slapped together weapons that in the end are just as random as BL2 with some more twists. If you truly liked the past systems for gun creation/dropping, I really can't see a reason why you would hate BL3's system.
    The Optimization: One quick note on this one since it seems to be a hot topic, I *personally* did not get that much bad optimization hitches in my current playtime on a 1070 8gb card at 1440p and i'm not sure why others are getting it. It says clearly "DX12 beta" so i'm not sure why people are judging that when its not ready. Plus, and this is my unpopular opinion, though its kinda **** to release a buggy or badly optimized product (which i don't think BL3 is), I think unless its unplayable for mostly everyone it shouldn't be solely reviewed on that facet as that confuses others who may be able to play it fine and just want to know if its fun.

    So I guess what i'm saying is, its more borderlands with some nice additions to pretty much every main mechanic from before, and I really don't know why anyone would hate this game unless they either 1. expected something crazy or 2. are being super critical for other reasons. but if you like borderlands, and i mean really just the minimum base gameplay of borderlands, then you will find this fun.    … Expand

    This game has heart and is a good continuation to Borderlands 2. BUT it suffers severely to performance issues, bugs, and crashes. This is just another reason why players need a demo or beta of some sort to test the game before it officially comes out to test what needs to be fixed.

I'm not a huge fan of the two main villains but they aren't as terrible as I thought. Each planet offers a unique setting in which you can explore and kill, I honestly have no idea what people are talking about when they say "It always feels like you're on pandora", no, no it does not. The game has a lot of love in it from the older games, lots of references and characters to be found.

    Really my only complaint is the co-op, it could have been better, but that's not to say it's terrible. There are a few technical issues here and there such as cutscenes starting before everyone has loaded in, there has been one time where an NPC's audio just cuts off, and personally i'm not a fan that only the host get's to interact with the characters in the main story quests.

    It isn't perfect, I could ramble on more but overall it's a great addition to the borderlands franchise, it gives us more borderlands, what else do you want? Fix the technical issues and we have a truly great game.    … Expand

    It looks beautiful, I think it will age brilliantly as did BL2. The Vault hunters are voiced fully so you are more immersed and form a connection with your character instead of having a silent ass kicker that screams a bit like we did in previous BL titles.

    Co-op is absolute and un-bridled chaos and I love it. Explosions everywhere and destruction following. The enemies feel spongy at times but the gun play more than makes up for you having to put a few more bullets into your enemies.

    The story is large and longer than previous titles took me about 23 hours (I was gunning it with a full group) But it doesn't stop there. Mayhem mode scales everything up to you so you can go and experience those fights again and this also makes any missed side quests worth doing. 23 hours x 4 + TVH mode and the proving grounds, this game is easily worth the £60 Price tag that you can expect to pay.

    The customization feels limitless as you can truly for the first time in Borderlands customize pretty much anything to do with your stuff. Eridium is no longer the upgrade currency but currency you use for cosmetics. I have NOT seen a single micro transaction let a lone anything that would help you beat this game.

    Boss fights are harder than ever especially when you turn that mayhem mode on. There is also more boss fights than ever. Every chapter seems to have a new but more challenging opponent to face. They are also some of the prettiest and highly detailed boss fights I've ever done. How ever some of them do feel very similar to each other so fighting them can set in a bit of fatigue.

    The humor does feel quite dated and forced at some points but it did not fail to make me laugh in most cases.

    That pretty much sums up my current time on Borderlands 3 I've thoroughly enjoyed my first run through the game and quite frankly am looking forward to taking a slower and more methodical run of the game.    … Expand

Scoped weapons create lag-spikes around 1/10th a second which continue as long as you're ADS, making it incredibly hard to play with scoped weapons or any weapon with more than 2x zoom (which isn't a lot of zoom, even). It's not unplayable, but you have to make some sacrifices while playing; it's not unforgivable, but it's seriously bad. I think callingThe performance issues are rampant. There are specific problems like I said with ADS, but when you're not doing that, you actually get really good frames. i get a consistent 50-60 FPS on high settings with a GTX 1070 (while not triggering stuttering), and the game looks incredibly fresh, at that.

    Underneath the performance issues, though, you've got a seriously good game. They haven't reinvented the franchise, but I'd want to say they'd perfected it, but perhaps that's a bit too strong wording. I'm confident is saying that they've continued the legacy of the last entries in a good way. If the last game was an over-all 9/10, I'd say this one might be an 8/10, excluding the rocky launch. When it comes to mechanics, it's incredibly similar to the previous games, but the things that they have added feel pretty innovative (only one I thought was bad, but it's only mission specific).

    Currently, the most helpful review claims it's a buggy mess with constant crashes, low frame rate, lag, screen tearing, a forgettable story and stupid humor. I've played about 25h so far, and I've encountered a single crash. Performance, I'll agree: it's not a **** as it gets, but it's far from good. Screen tearing? I don't know if this person has been using V-Sync or not, but I have and I've not noticed it tearing once. Forgettable story? Not at all. I think it gets a little stale at some points, but so did the story in the last game, but it didn't last for long then, and it doesn't now either. They've done a lot to spice things up, and there are some really memorable bosses and missions out there. And as for the stupid humor? Really? It's the same as it always was. If you didn't like how it's always been, that's on you, but nothing has really changed.

    If the performance stuff gets fixed, this game is easily an 8/10, overall.    … Expand

Да у игры есть фризы иногда и некоторые проблемы, но играется в неё очень классно и интересно, при чем я играю еще и со стримом. Почти 10 часов прекрасно проведенного времени. 1070, i7 4770k, 16GB.     Mayhem returns. Borderlands 3 received new worlds that are not similar to each other, received new gameplay mechanics, returned heroes from previous games and added new ones, but bad optimization, as well as not very good jokes compared to the second part, but I liked the game, new graphics more like a comic book, a lot of action. my verdict, I was not in vain waiting for this game.

    I love this franchise . I've played all parts of this franchise and i think that part most interesting than other. I love new animations , new characters , new worlds , new guns , new skill trees. Ofcourse , at this moment optimization - suck , but I , think , the Gearbox won't miss it.
    If you want buy Borderlands 3 - do it.

    Awesome Claptrap, good graphics, great jokes from the beginning and even crazier weapons. Thats a truly awesome game. I love it! It feels great, like borderlands2 :) and the Direct x12 Problems can be fixed in most cases by using Direct x11. For me it works fluently and nice on Direct x 11

The game is a significant improvement on Borderlands 2 in every way. If people claim it’s the same game as BL2, they are lying through their teeth. There is a certain amazing but if data going back to gearbox in your network. This is for the Twitch extension,I have not had any issues playing this game. There are bugs, but not the world ending ones a lot of reviews on here are claiming. The game is a significant improvement on Borderlands 2 in every way. If people claim it’s the same game as BL2, they are lying through their teeth. There is a certain amazing but if data going back to gearbox in your network. This is for the Twitch extension, which is built in. I haven’t had any issues but I would recommend you turn off that setting if you are having issues. The game is amazing. Writing is better than BL2. The music is Better. More varied guns and more interesting guns. The visuals are markedly improved. Quests are never just fetch quests. I have not had any frame drops or technical issues at all. I’ve played solo and coop, but not couch split screen. The game is not a buggy mess.     There's tons of content, great skills, a pretty good story. Really this game is the full package and TOTALLY worth the buy...except it barley holds it together. Horrible performance issues and bugs galore. This game is subject to crashes and some people have straight up lost progress as well. It DESPERATELY needed more time before it released.

I do run 2x 2080 TI in SLI, I've turned everything on ultra/max settings and I run a smooth 80-90fps on 1440p.     Or another example. You're not a ghost camera! You're a camera attached to person! There's not so many games where you can look down and see your own legs, torso and arms. But Borderlands is one of them.

    I know, so far it sounds stupid. But that just shows, the developers haven't missed a single detail.

    About gameplay, it became even more fun than before. Ragdolls are now just as crazy as in good'ol Team Fortress 2. Now you can shoot female bandits! And yes, it sounds rly pecking creepy and over all bad, but at least this way it feels like bandit planet actually, where, well, everyone and their mother (Literally) is either a bandit or worse. Some new moves was added, shooting itself was improved. The guns are rly neeto. Matching both of those factors with B2, B2 feels and looks like you're using a Nerf gun of some kind.

    Graphics were slightly improved. And I have no idea what are you guys sayin' about optimization. Tested on my pc with i7 and 980ti, as well as on my laptop with 1050ti. Both runs pretty solid. And again, you have body! That's just the coolest thing!

    Yes, it did crashed once, when I entered new location. And yes, I still have some issues with inventory (Frame drops and disappearing cursor). But it was only once, and I expected that. Come on, the game was, like, couple of hours old, some thingies like that are normal.

    A little bit if optimisation could be great (some crashes and other FPS drop) but the game still pretty good, good story, nice joke like borderlands know to do it, a pretty good lifespan maybe 30-35h without rush
    Finally a pretty good looter shooter ;)

    Having some fun time playing BL3 with friends. Really love the lore, variety of different guns, the jokes that are usually funny. The playabe characters finally have bright personalities.

There are a lot of epic haters here that just give 0 Points even though they did not even play the game.

    Borderlands 3 has actually some performance issues. I played it on Xbox and still get frame drops or lagging when I open the menu. Very frustrating, and I hope they do something. And yes many friends tell me that PC has some performance issues as well. But not all of them ! This would strike against 10 Points. And yes this would affect Splitscreen as well. Nonetheless is it a degrace to give 0 points because of framedrops that occur sometimes.

    This game is playable !

    Another point how can you come to say that this game is just a Borderlands 2.5 ? Or just a DLC.
    This game is a FULL new game. In every aspect this game has evolved and playes much smoother, modern, and more comfortable. Exactly what the other Borderland did not achieve or needed. Borderlands 3 is exactly what we wanted and I think everybody who plays this game till the end, feels and sees that.

    There is no ingame Shop, Ingame Currency or Microtransactions in the form of any other game that is release nowadays. They completely focussed on the actual content. Thanks Gearbox for staying that way.

    This game provides a really long main story. Longer than the one from Borderlands 2. The level design is just gorgeous. The areas are much bigger than any of Borderlands 2. Well the graphic has improved slightly. Light and environment feel more alive, than the previous titles. And also there is much bigger variety of environments. Every single Map you enter is huge.

    HUD as improved in almost every single way. There could be still some improvements on the inventory and Map controlls. But overall, we a much better and deeper skill tree. The badass rank as so much more sense now and actually rewards more than just some increased stats. The Map is 3D and they added a fog of war to it. Also you can fast travel to your car or any other fast travel station, which is exactly what Borderlands 2 needed. You can toggle between Missions without going into the quest log menu ! Maps provide more than just missions. There are side bosses, cars you steal, dead claptraps and more ! Discovering the whole map has more meaning to, as in the prevous titles. It is a whole new System.

    Well dont need to talk about combat and weapon variety. It is just so much better and exciting. There are boss fight in this game that actually let you forget every boss fight you had in any other Borderlands Game. It is mind blowing.

    Cars can be hijacked, and you can actually design your cars with new guns, tires, armor .... and so on. Characters can have emotes, skins, weapon skins, echo skins, and more ! And all this is unlocked by playing... not PAYING ! Exactly what we needed in todays world.

    Sanctuary provides so much more, it is incredible. More slot machines at moxxis, own personal room, hammerlock room, Zer0 room. Every room has a meaning and is worth a visit once a while. I mean it feels like so much more.

    Endgame Content, raid Bosses, Chaos/Mayhem Mode, Arena... who knows whats more to come. Compared to Borderlands 2, this is a blast of NEW CONTENT and improvement.

    The humor is still there, easter eggs are more than ever. So many great references and funny moments.

    There is much more, so much. I encourage everyone to play this game and have a look themselves. How dare anyone call this a DLC for borderlands 2 or a Borderlands 2.5. In my opinion those people have never played one of the previous titles or expected Borderlands 3 to be Destiny 3 or so.

    This game is exactly what true fans of the franchise wanted and expected. And they never mislead us in any of their videos, trailers, reveals. We all got hyped. Playing this will keep you hyped. So have fun !    … Expand

    I like this game very much. I get a lot of pleasure from her. My pc produces stable 60 fpd, enough for me. The game has certain disadvantages, but they are not significant and are fixable.

    Save your .SAV files to some other location before overwriting from "the cloud". This rule is the same for both Steam and Epic. The Epic cloud is not magic... it is just as vulnerable to improper use by novices as the Steam client. The game is great. It does have a few technical issues running split screen co op on first generation consoles though.

The bosses are better than ever and really feel like bosses if that makes sense. Each being unique and filled with and equal amount of both fun and frustrating mechanics as should be the case lol. The characters all feel fleshed out as do the player chsracters with the skill trees all feeling great through story and most feeling sick through too the end game content. With raiding on the way end game is looking to be great in multiplayer but for those hardcore looters what can you do now? Mayhem mode is a new way of learning a challenge - playing wherever you want with random modifiers from reduced damage for certain guns or elements to gaining move speed but losing shield and health regeneration. You can choose to play from normal to mayhem 1 all the way to mayhem three which has four of these mods aswell enemies being more tanky in general - bring varied and big guns for this as you need to be up to any challenge! TLDR: Game is great and super fun - if you enjoyed any of the previous borderlands games you will enjoy this and thos will most likely rate this as you favorite BLgame - it's mine (even with over 2000 hours in bl2 lol)… Expand

    It's just non stop fun, fantastic loot, great bosses and still as funny as ever.
    Plenty to do and feels very borderlands 2 ish but I'm ok with that since 2 was one of my fav games.
    Only thing holding it back from a 10 is the ui interface is a bit laggy and slow and the ai could be better but other than that, fantastic game!

    my personal review: personally ive been waiting for this game ever since i was watching yoteslaya play borderlands 2 when i was a kid, i have a childhood memory of searching through youtube to find any sort of information i could on a new borderlands game, i bought the game around when the tiny tina dlc came out (of course i bought it as my first dlc) and i fell in love with it, ever sincemy personal review: personally ive been waiting for this game ever since i was watching yoteslaya play borderlands 2 when i was a kid, i have a childhood memory of searching through youtube to find any sort of information i could on a new borderlands game, i bought the game around when the tiny tina dlc came out (of course i bought it as my first dlc) and i fell in love with it, ever since ive been playing borderlands games religiously. i have friends now who have had similar experiences and were now playing borderlands 3, but for those 7 years in between i never once stopped and wondered if borderlands was my favourite game because i already knew. i still remember going to my local game store to pick up borderlands the pre sequel and bringing home and playing it to then loving it, i begged my father to buy when i heard it was coming out, and i did the same to get the season pass the game ended up not being the best but i still played the bloody hell out of it. so personally when i heard borderlands 3 was coming out i instantly bought the 120$ copy of the game giving me the season pass and bunch of weapon and character skins that i still use in late game. i had signed up for the vault insiders and checked it constantly so i was following the hype for this game extremly closely, i think going into this i would have played the hell out of it whether it was good or not. im writing this review at the point of having 55 hours in the game, im about half way through new game+ and im max level. still at this point in the game i still feel there is an insane amount of things for me to do. i still have only done 2 proving grounds and cant find the last one and i also have barely touched the mayhem mode in the game(which has to be my favourite thing they have added)

    my gameplay review: borderlands 3 takes everything that borderlands 2 and pre sequel did well and combines the 2, i found pre sequel to have a very vertical based combat because of the jumpacks and in borderlands 2 it was all about speed, right now in borderlands 3 i have a build on the character zane that makes it so the more im moving the more overall damage i do and also i have a jump slam(which is something i forgot about until late game) relic that will shoot out homing rockets meaning im constantly jumping and moving around fast making it a mix between speed and vertical combat. i have the person im playing with playing moze and they have a build that makes them a tank (literally) they have tons and tons of sheild and the more damage they do the more sheilds they get. these are just across 2 characters and not including the crazy modifiers you can get on the sheilds and the class mods. the bosses in the game are crazy, theres 4 vault monsters really (the rampager, grave ward, troy calypso, and tyreen calypso"destroyer") of all of them i love farming grave ward he is the fastest one to kill and gives some good loot, troy calypso is very unique and has some cool attacks, but the final boss tyreen calypso was insane, her attacks would always catch me off gaurd and her player model in visually amazing its this massive tentacle beast with a girl in the middle of it controlling it. it is a very difficult fight and has left me wanting more like a raid boss. thats where i feel this game falls slightly, im sure it will change as dlc comes out but theres no raid bosses from what we can tell, ive done alot of the side quests and still havent seen anything.

    the story review: the story for this game is all over the place, i think because of the different planets it makes it almost falls under 4 big arcs, the promethea arc, the eden-6 arc the nekrotefayo arc, and the pandora arc. when they announced the planets i figured it would have been across 4 planets and very quickly but each planet feels like their own mini story, when on promethea your seeing whats happening with atlas corperation and rhys, when you go to eden-6 you get to see where the jakobs corperation is and whats going on with the hammerlock family, as you come to pandora you start to see whats going on with brick and mordecai also everyones favourite psychopathic deomolitionist "tiny" tina finally you go to nekrotafayo(i dont think im spelling that right) it is the home world of the eridians and man does this place ever reveal alot, after you complete the troy calypso fight you get the ability to read eridian writing and with this it finally opens the borderlands story right up the way we all wanted from the beginning, we learn everything about the sirens how they work how people become sirens, why the eridians were wiped out and why the vault monsters exist, in the end you meet a dwarf named typhon deleon, throughout the game you find his logs all over the place and find out that way that he was the first vault hunter and found the first vault, and also that he died getting to the eridian homeworld. im running out of characters so i will finish this by saying i love it. i love borderlands 3    … Expand

    Great game. In my opinion a much better borderlands 2. I'm currently lv 50 and had after 30hours of gameplay 2 crashes. And no frame drops. I'm playing on a rather low end machine and the game ran smoothly at high settings with 60 fps. Had no problems with EGS as well. Most oft the negative reviews are just mad that it's not released on steam.

This game is infinitely more polished on release than, say, Skyrim; which unsurprisingly has a much higher overall review score. This game is infinitely more polished on release than, say, Skyrim; which unsurprisingly has a much higher overall review score. If people are going to flock to the review boards and give a game like Borderland 3 a 0 for bugs, then I just don't even.

    ABOUT THE GAMEPLAY
    It's solid. I felt like choice of skills/abilities matters a lot more in this game than its predecessors, good variety of weapons that feel and handle differently, much improved movement and shooting mechanics from the previous games. I mean... honestly, it's just really good, rewarding gameplay. I don't know about anyone else, but when I buy a game, I want it to have solid gameplay. That's the thing I care about. The GAMEplay, in my GAME.

    STORY
    Eh. I mean, it's not great, I'll admit; but again, the writing is at least as good (if not better) than the overwhelming majority of AAA titles I've played this decade. It's nowhere near than the BEST of those games, sure; but that's a not a fair or reasonable metric, either. BL3's story is serviceable, and the pacing meshes well with the gameplay and the level design; works for me.

    CHARACTERS
    Most of your favourites from the series are back; some with solid writing and great moments, others... less so. Which, like any sequel, is pretty much inevitable. In a lot of ways, this game suffers from the success of BL2; but judged on its own merit, the characterization is just fine. No complaints here.

    LEVEL/ENCOUNTER DESIGN
    Even more than the solid core gameplay, this is where BL3 deserves the most props. The overall encounter and level/map design is exceptional. Lots of interesting terrain to keep encounters dynamic and interesting, good mixes of enemy units (for the most part) keep you changing tactics and (mostly) clever boss fights make for fun punctuation. Plus the maps have a healthy, but not excessive, amount of little secrets and discoverables to make exploring them fun. These teams did a great job.

    OVERALL
    Solid game. I honestly can't understand all the vitriol. Except, maybe (just maybe) a bunch of whiny entitled **** who expected to get free review copies because they're some tiny youtube "celebrity" or twitch-streamer or whatever feel slighted and/or called out; and now they're flocking to the reviews to **** on BL3 because they are tiny, miserable, petty people...     Borderlands 3 is definitely a blast to play. Game play feels as satisfying as ever and looting is always fun to do. It has a unique art style that has been updated to look very crisp and pretty. The game has various different sections that each look great. The vault hunters are extremely diverse and fun to play as. The music has stepped up significantly and sounds gorgeous. Without a doubtBorderlands 3 is definitely a blast to play. Game play feels as satisfying as ever and looting is always fun to do. It has a unique art style that has been updated to look very crisp and pretty. The game has various different sections that each look great.     I do not understand all the rage about Epic Game Store - of course it is not Steam, but what diffrence does it make when you are actually in the game, playing it? In my opinion None. What I can understand is the rage about how poor performance and stuttering is affecting the game play.

    Gearbox has a problem: the fantastic Borderlands 2 is too good to be beaten. But in the case of Borderlands 3, it is still more than a worthy successor. The filmmakers brought many pop-cultural references, maybe pushing too hard on how they want to be “modern”, but otherwise it's a great game again. [Issue#298]

    Borderlands 3 offers a generous experience, with colourful characters, neat gameplay and a charming universe. Its formula, very close to that of the previous episodes does not revolutionize the show but its small new features bring a little freshness and the scenario makes us want to go to the end of the adventure. Its dynamism and nervousness make it a choice piece for adrenaline-ready FPS lovers and license fans.

    The fun, humorous storyline, some great dialogue and theatrical accents of the diverse characters, beautifully varied locations and the same great gunplay that Borderlands is renowned for, means that Borderlands 3 becomes another must have title in the series.
