Raccoo Venture is a platform game starring a raccoon that must recover the magical relics of his grandfather. It is well designed, and clearly influenced by classics from the 90s like Super Mario 64 or Crash Bandicoot3. Some of the most fun levels are ridiculously short, and the combat is lacking in action and variety. The puzzles are challenging and the levels are balanced, but the game does not stand out in any aspect.

A fantastic work of renovation of two games that have almost 20 years behind them to turn them into an adventure that could have been released in 2024: the three-dimensional reconstruction of the scenarios, the detail of the environments, the new design of the characters and the re-recording sound transform it into a current game.

The remastered version of one of the best games of recent years offers the same masterpiece of action and storytelling with some technical improvements and interesting extras, such as the director's commentary, the discarded levels, and the addictive and excellent mode No Return. Graphically it is incredible, but the leap from PS4 is small. Some punctual problems in the rhythm and development of the main adventure.

A fantastic metroidvania that, in terms of gameplay, does almost everything masterfully and marks the triumphant return of one of the most legendary video game sagas. It has exquisite controls, outstanding level design, incredibly rewarding platforming sections, a very fun combat system with a very varied bestiary and memorable bosses, and a generous amount of content. Its story and narrative leave something to be desired, graphically it is not very impressive and it does not escape some programming errors, but if you like the genre and missed this mythical saga, here you have a great game with which to start the year in the best possible way.

Square Enix brings us a spin-off of Dragon Quest that reminds us of Pokémon, but with its own style and mechanics, such as monster fusion and seasonal changes. The Invincible is a walking simulator that pays a good tribute to the work of Stanisław Lem thanks to an interesting story that dares to address philosophical issues, a protagonist with charisma and a fascinating science fiction setting. Unfortunately, this good work ends up being weighed down by an extremely slow, sometimes frustrating development that is not capable of offering us anything minimally stimulating as players, with overly stretched parts and mechanics that rarely add up to the whole. Even so, it is not a bad game and if you are passionate about the genre in its purest conception, the original novel on which it is based and you want a slow experience away from the freneticism and spectacle that usually reigns in the industry, here you will find a purchase that you may want to take into account.
