Nov 21, 2023You Will Die Here Tonight begins as a great indie homage to Resident Evil and then develops to be a fantastic take on survival horror in its own right. While there are a few unpolished aspects here and there the overall experience is a stand out in a genre that is so often defined by slavish adherence to tropes and traditions. Any self-respecting fan of survival horror owes it to themselves to face the evil residence and find out the true horrors awaiting within.

Nov 28, 2023A title that pleasantly surprised us with its well-executed homage to classic Resident Evil, introducing new elements seamlessly, and resolving combat exceptionally well. While some designed-to-kill moments may be bothersome and the lack of translation is a drawback, we recommend it to those seeking an experience akin to classic Resident Evil with some changes and a more condensed format.

Jan 18, 2024Overall, I do recommend this game to fans of old-school RE games. You’ll have the most fun with this game. The cheap deaths do get in the way, but you can overcome them with enough knowledge of the game. You Will Die Here Tonight is definitely a game that you have to get the feel for to truly enjoy it, but once you do, it is quite a fun time. The game clocks in at around 3 hours total, but it is an overall fun experience and quite impressive for an indie game.

Nov 8, 2023If you're a fan of classic horror games and especially the Resident Evil series, you might like this. Even if you die for sure. You Will Die Here Tonight tries to pay homage to classic horror movies, and very successfully.
-
Oct 31, 2023Not a bad first try for an indie studio. However, the game lacks originality and quickly becomes a repetitive slog.
-
Nov 3, 2023You Will Die Here Tonight is not particularly scary or thrilling, and it can get very frustrating. From the get-go, you’re pushed into a storyline that isn’t fully explained with mechanics that you don’t fully understand; solving things through trial and error can then get cumbersome.

Nov 8, 2023The game is brief and polished, so I think it's possible someone who loves the games You Will Die Here Tonight is affectionately cribbing could manage to enjoy this too, but probably only if they're really itching for something else to play. There's no shortage of games resurrecting this style, and many of them have been memorable. Others have been worse, but at least some have been interesting in their shortcomings. The overarching issue with You Will Die Here Tonight is that the death alluded to in its title can be attributed to boredom.
