Pragmata presents a seemingly simple concept, but that establishes a substantial foundation for the game. This simplicity isn't a weakness; on the contrary, it allows for an enjoyable and addictive gameplay style that cleverly and seamlessly blends hacking and shooting. However, the game truly lacks a stronger, more mature storyline. Improving this aspect alone would have elevated the game to a much higher level, making it a far more impactful and complete experience.

Even after a year, the PS5 version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is also frustrating. Perhaps the studio should have postponed the game by another two years to refine it. The focus went to combat which is fun and refreshing but enemies aren't varied enough for it to carry the whole game. There are many weak points in Forspoken... be it the mediocre side-content, or the repetition, or how unimpressive the game looks, etc. Storytelling disappoints too. Sure the game is ambitious, but the end result is far from being satisfying. Still, combat-focused lovers may find something to like here.
