The fate of Assetto Corsa seems pretty clear: unless there are blatant reversals, we find ourselves in front of what will be, for the next few years, the benchmark for driving simulations and modders on PC.

Hollow Knight confirms on Switch all the good it displayed in its PC version: we're talking about one of the best (if not the best) metroidvania of recent years, graced by gorgeous art direction and a fantastic level of challenge. A must buy if you're not afraid of difficult titles.

McMullen did it again. With the latest expansion The Binding of Isaac got bigger, better, and it became even more of a virtual drug (if that was even possible). It’s a disturbing game, but also one that needs to be played, and slowly analyzed. Room after room, trauma after trauma, forever and ever.

It was simply one of the best RPGs in the last decade on PC, and it’s even better in this version, with new content and many great additions. If you are a fan of the genre, this game is a must have: it’s a difficult and enticing experience that punishes the unprepared player and greatly rewards those who face it bravely and with their brain cells activated.

Machinarium demonstrates, once again, how ideas and creativity in the world of video games today can impress the public, despite the current gaming market being governed by graphics and constant run-up to the latest technological developments. Proudly presenting an unique nature, and belonging to a genre of videogames that is unfortunately going to disappear, Machinarium stands out for originality, thanks to the stunning quality and many hours of puzzles and fun filled with really interesting ideas.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is not a game, it's a nuclear rainbow explosion on steroids. There's nothing as crazy, fast and spectacular as it in the fighting genre right now. The gameplay is sure to appeal to both casual gamers and experts, and it's even more balanced than we expected. So much that it might even conquer a niche in the competitive tournaments, and that's definitely saying a lot for a Marvel vs Capcom title. Maybe it will never have the great balancing of games like Blazblue or Street Fighter IV, but it's an exhilarating beat em up that anyone should try, and that's more than enough to make it a masterpiece.

This will make Nintendo Switch Sports a constantly evolving title that can even double its content over the course of a year or two. The only hope is that Nintendo does not put too much hands on the price of future DLCs and that maybe it can include them in the Online package as already done with other additional content, such as that of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Fortnite is a well-crafted mix, a game that takes all from Minecraft and Left 4 Dead to create something new. Unfortunately, this action builder from Epic Games could show everything in the few first hours. Also, it's very unbalanced in chasing the money from the "free" users.

Considering the variety and versatility promised by the development team in terms of configuration to properly enjoy Rise of the Ronin, one has the feeling that the same mixed result has been achieved as the console version. All things considered, some post-launch patches will be necessary to enjoy an even more solid experience: the publisher has already confirmed to us that several updates are on the way, but at the moment know that the launch version needs more than a few technical refinements.

Starfield aims to be Bethesda Game Studios' magnum opus: it's compelling, entertaining and familiar: it feels like spending time with a longtime friend. This also means that it is inherently old in its structure and in how its universe reacts to the player. It's a shame that it comes with some unforgivable sins, like how dull the planet explorations is, but you will spend tons of hours in the game nonetheless. [Review in Progress]

God of War: Ragnarok on PC is yet another confirmation that expertly crafted ports are still possible, despite everything. Stunning graphics (though you’ll need a good PC to handle all that visual splendor), gameplay as sharp as Kratos’ blades, and a gripping narrative that won’t let you go. Sure, there was the risk of relying on past success and resting on its laurels. It doesn’t revolutionize, nor does it need to: it perfects what already worked on the PlayStation platform, with a confidence that few titles manage to maintain. And that’s perfectly fine.
