Persona 5 Royal is one of the greatest games of all time. With it on PC, we now have the definitive version of it ready to take our hearts all over again.

Elden Ring is a spectacle and a marvel to behold. Although there are some issues, the overall experience remains deeply engaging. It's one of the best open-world games I have ever played.

I've made it pretty clear that it's hardly a flawless game, but that doesn't change the fact that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is something pretty bloody special and you should absolutely play it.

Half-Life: Alyx sets a new high standard for VR games, both in technical terms and gameplay itself. Visually impressive and customizable for accessibility, Alyx's 20-hour campaign strikes an enjoyable balance between action, horror, puzzle-solving, and humor. VR gamers shouldn't miss this one.

One of the best games of recent years gets even better, courtesy of a superb port and content that has withstood the march of time with aplomb.

Although Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PC has plenty of technical quirks, they're easy to overlook once you're immersed in the story and the breathtaking beauty of the world.

Hades is an absolutely phenomenal game. Its characters are brilliantly written, and the worldbuilding and lore are top-notch. The combat mechanics are refreshing, intricate, and unbelievably deep. Its replayability and fun factor will keep you continuing onward with Zagreus' adventure well after the true ending and epilogue. This is one title you wouldn't want to miss out on.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a spectacular adventure with best in class combat and visuals that remind you why this world is so beloved to begin with. Rebirth's greatest strength is not how it reimagines the original game for a modern audience, but rather, how it inspires a modern audience to appreciate the original game.

Street Fighter 6 is the complete package and offers heaps of content, whether you're competitive or casual. World Tour is a surprisingly strong addition to the single-player experience, and the series has never been more approachable. If you ever wanted to 'get good' at a fighting game but never felt you had the tools, now is the time.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is an outstanding addition to one of the greatest games of all time.

Entertaining, surprising, mind-breaking: Undertale is a labour of love that inspires exactly that emotion.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is by all means the most complete out-of-the-box package that out of any flight sim ever. It's advancements have pushed the genre as a whole to an entirely new standard with the promise of ongoing support solidifying its rank as the defacto flight sim for the years to come. While it has its quirks, this really is "As real as it gets".

Blizzard has created a solid team FPS but right now it's light on content.

Tekken 8 is a stellar entry to the series with something for everyone. Whether you're a grizzled veteran or just want to play as the guy who looks like Bruce Lee, there's never been a better time to enjoy the King of Iron Fist tournament.

Flawed in many, many ways, but none of those ways impact a glorious, emergent, open-world experience.

Forza Horizon 5 is a masterclass example of how to do an open-world racing game, bar none. Thanks to its deeply rich map, wealth of content, and fantastic visuals, it's the best racing experience I've had yet.

While Crusader Kings III has shortcomings and flaws, these are overshadowed by the sheer number of options and content thanks to its gigantic map and features. Greater emphasis is placed on a character's or dynasty's growth, a level of detail not seen in any previous grand strategy title, allowing you to experience trials and tribulations like never before.

Capcom knows how to nail a remake, with Resident Evil 4 being a intricate mix of scares, humor, and fast-paced combat. Although I had a few complaints, I extensively enjoyed my time playing this third-person shooter.

The original Spelunky's only obvious shortcoming was that its level design was somewhat limited. Spelunky 2 takes what made the original so great, fixes that shortcoming, and leaves us with one of the best-made indie games you'll ever play. A truly sensational effort from Mossmouth.

Mostly lives up to the promises and hype built around the game. An all at once engaging, intriguing, funny, satisfying, and deep experience.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is exactly what the series needed, adding on a ton of much-appreciated quality-of-life features and a wealth of new content to the already stellar skeleton that SMT is known for.

Hi-Fi Rush swings for the fences and hits a home run with its incredible rhythm-based gameplay and combat mechanics that are more complex than you might initially assume.

A 9/10 game let down by a shoddy port to PC.

Trails From Zero is a wonderful game that offers the very best story telling and world building that gaming has to offer. Its presentation and dialogue heavy gameplay won't be for everyone, but if you love a good story and are looking to get immersed in a brilliant world, look no further.

Hearts of Stone is an essential pickup if you’re playing The Witcher 3.

Alan Wake 2 is survival horror at its best, runs and looks stunning, and consistently left me enticed. It's a mystery-solving and ghost-fighting narrative experience that'll leave you wanting more.

The core mechanics of the original are still very present, even amongst a more action-focused playstyle. If anything, this has widened the audience reach to those who've never played the original and want to enjoy a hearty helping of panic and inventory stress.

Devil May Cry 5 might not be the best entry in the series, but it's a good time with great gameplay, in spite of the middling story and bland art direction.

Neon White is a tour de force, combining incredible level design, excellent storytelling, and brilliant mechanics.

With Souls titles now a pseudo-genre of their own, there’s an inevitable familiarity to the rewarding challenges, deft storytelling, and intricate, shortcut-laden level design of Dark Souls 3. But familiarity alone should not detract from this third title’s fine implementation of ideas and mechanics. The enigma may be waning, but there’s still nothing quite like a Souls game.

Dead Cells is an excellent, challenging "roguevania" that encourages player experimentation and exploration across its beautiful levels.

Sekiro is an extremely challenging, beautiful game that's very much worth the time to learn. Just prepare to die even more than you probably thought.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is an incredible fantasy RPG that immerses you into a living and breathing world full of memorable NPCs and terrifying monsters. It often starts to feel old-fashioned in its gameplay design, but you can find the charm in it after many hours of gameplay.

Not quite as good as its predecessor in some ways and notably better in others, AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative is a must-play for fans anime-styled narrative games.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is aesthetically brilliant and offers familiar challenges with a new twist. An expansive world filled with interactive NPCs gives you plenty of game for your buck, making this a must for newbies and die-hards alike. Implementation of anticipated patches would bump this score up to a 9.

Mullet Mad Jack is a hyper stylized shooter with a lot under the hood. The simple yet addicting gameplay loop is more than enough to keep players engaged for the long term.

Pentiment's vivid art style, tight narrative, and choice-driven gameplay are a treat to experience. However, the restrictive save system and constant clicking to finish dialogue conversations can be detrimental to your enjoyment.

Rogue Legacy 2 does everything a sequel should. It builds on what was already well done in its predecessor while reworking any ideas that weren't executed as well. Cellar Door Games has made something both franchise fans and newcomers should be extremely excited to play.

XCOM 2 successfully straddles the line between being familiar and being new. A few design choices will divide people, and there are bugs and issues that will need patching or modding, but for the most part it's a sterling return to the gruelling decision-making of its predecessor.

Original and imaginative experience for a puzzle game that delivers on what it is.

It’s also not too hard to find the right balance between quality visuals and consistent FPS. Solely talking about graphics, it’d be slightly below Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V. However, it definitely ranks higher than Fortnite, PUBG, and a dozen other battle royale titles out there. I’d consider this a fairly smooth launch for a game that completely came as a surprise. Brilliant, infuriating, beautiful, frustrating, fantastic, and hateful. Battlefield 1 is a great game, but perhaps not one for the more casual solo player.

F1 2020 feels daunting for first-timers, but it lets you learn and adapt as you continue to progress and challenge yourself. Barring a few downsides with its My Team and Driver Career modes, it remains a true marvel in the sim-racing genre where every competition is nail-bitingly fierce and exciting.

Doom Eternal does a lot of things, but it's really a masterclass in modern action game design. It improves upon its predecessor in nearly every way and has some of the most visceral, furious combat that gaming has to offer.

Even just as a racing game in general, it’s an absolute joy to play. No other racer comes close in terms of this level of polish – from the driving model to the freedom of customization, detailed open-world, and all-around gorgeous presentation. I fully agree with the final part of the game’s opening dialogue: Don’t go anywhere, Horizon is here to stay. At ease, ladies and gentlemen. The king has returned to his kingdom.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection doesn't quite hit as hard if you've played the others, but it's still well worth the trip if you're new or aching for a revisit. Just watch out for that lightning.

Although there are a few issues (namely with its save system and soon-to-be-fixed progress carry-over function), Hitman 3's mission stories, level design, and creative assassinations provide the franchise's "greatest hits" record. It's the perfect way to cap off Agent 47's journey.

Kathy Rain: Director's Cut makes the original obsolete and still delivers a mesmerizing adventure game, although the new stuff might not be enough for fans who played it before.

This trio of games still creak a bit even with this fresh coat of paint and support for both higher resolutions and 60 fps gameplay, but they're still easily worth a play, particularly at this bargain bundle price.

Despite its rather brief runtime, Mini Motorways shows what made the game so successful on mobile platforms. Featuring a gameplay loop that's hard to resist, the only thing holding it back is a lack of true variety. Luckily, when the gratification loop is this intoxicating and the price is so minimal, the limited replay value can be easily forgiven.

Immortality is Sam Barlow's most ambitious project. It presents an engrossing narrative, with numerous moments that will amaze you as you discover them. The only downside is that you can end up with repetitive scenes without knowing what to do next.

OlliOlli World is a wonderful skateboarding game that delivers everything I could have ever wanted. Its gorgeous pastel color art, flawless optimization, and slick controls combine to create a premier indie game.

Outside of some annoying crashes and mishaps, Deathloop remains a stellar game with a brilliant premise, refreshing mechanics, and delightful characters. You'll repeat the same day and retread the same paths over and over. But, replayability is enhanced given how you'll discover new secrets and abilities to help you progress.

Despite the occasional bug, Dead Space is a faithful, fantastic remake of a beloved game.

Iceborne adds a lot to the game and should keep players busy for a long time. The performance will hopefully improve and the price tag is high, but there's a lot more Monster Hunter to see with this expansion. Plus, you basically have no choice but to buy this if you're already deeply invested.

Inside’s fraught four hours of oppressive pursuit, smart environmental manipulation, and unsettling imagery exhibit a consistency and obsessive attention to detail that few other games can boast.

At times serene and at times unnerving, Sunless Skies epitomizes an atmospheric narrative-driven exploration into strange and unknown locales, only marred by the tedium that grows as the novelty eventually wears off after a few hours.

Some lingering series quirks persist, but other smart lessons from the first game have been applied to Total War: Warhammer 2. Another four mechanically diverse factions, each pursuing a singular campaign goal on a richly detailed map, make this a powerful sequel.

With fantastic graphics and, ahem, spectacular gameplay, this is the best Spider-Man game ever. The performance isn't quite what I'd hoped, and some of the contrivances regarding enemy types get on my nerves, but this is a game that every Spidey fan needs to play.

Armored Core 6 is rocket power — high-octane action, adrenaline-pumping propulsion, riveting ramifications all retrofitted to a world and a story that set the stage for greed and humanity to fight to the brink of total annihilation... and see what lies beyond. It's a fast-paced thrill ride that has a few bumps when it comes to consistent boss difficulty, viable builds, and clear storytelling, but when you're blazing at breakneck speed, you hover right over the divots.

It doesn't take a gumshoe to tell that Lacuna is a stellar, noir-inspired adventure, that is absolutely worth investigating further. Other than a few quality of life tweaks, it's hard to find much wrong with this narrative-driven hunt and click. Be sure not to let this suspect slip through your fingers.

A solid, lengthy, entertaining romp across both tombs and not-tombs, with a quality PC port. If you want more Tomb Raider 2013, this offers improvements on most of that game's mechanics and is unlikely to disappoint.

Diablo 4 may not be perfect, but it remains a rock-solid dungeon crawler with a lot of promise for the future.

The match-up of Warhammer and Total War is as harmonious as hoped, adding tremendous faction diversity and fantasy flavour to the familiar series mechanics. It’s technically sound too, but several old flaws (like AI blind spots in sieges) remain. An invigorating addition to the series, nonetheless.

Monster Hunter Rise is another entertaining entry in the venerated franchise that continues to scratch a unique itch. New players will be eased into the franchise and returning players will enjoy hunting with friends as well. Capcom has also delivered yet another good port that definitely makes this version the one to play.

Death Stranding is an excellent game with a lot of content and a ton of unique angles. The story is straight-up dumb a lot of the time and things can get tedious and clunky, but the thrill of exploration and making your own way overcomes all obstacles. Just like. Ugh. Sam Porter Bridges.

Yakuza 0 is a fantastic title for those who enjoy a game with droves of story, brawling, and a little bit of strange humour. I will be continuing playing through towards 100% over these coming weeks, which is the first time I’ve said that about a game in a long, long time.

While its crushing difficulty and bare-bones story may turn off some casual players, those who triumph through Valfaris' 7 hours of gameplay and endless boss battles will leave feeling refreshed. This is a definite must-play for both Castlevania and heavy metal fans alike.

Panzer Corps 2 has some noticeable flaws with regards to in-game mechanics and performance woes. Likewise, it doesn't try to reinvent age-old systems. Though it can be a little tedious the further you are in the campaign, the game makes up for it with a ton of playable content.

Dishonored 2 is a fantastic game. It may, in fact, be the best game you really shouldn’t risk buying right now, because right now it’s a technical mess. Yes, I hope a patch comes out soon which fixes a lot of these issues – but yes, I’m also worried that a lot of this is baked into the new Void Engine, and if that’s the case… well, this might be something to look into in a year or two. I’ll keep you updated, but for now, a definite “buyer beware” on an otherwise phenomenal game.

The Last Friend is a hell of a fun time, combining action-packed combat and flashy tower defense into a killer package. It's a bit short and too easy, but these dogs will have their day.

A high-quality translation and port that builds on the wonderful work done by a passionate community. Trails to Azure's story is impactful, but issues with its pacing can make it feel longer than it needs to be. Even so, this is still a great JRPG that fans of the genre would be silly to pass on.

I played through the campaign once, and then played through bits of a second campaign to see the other timeline changes. I still haven’t done all of the bonus Enigma Code missions that send you back through previous stages with new enemy layouts and new things to find. I’ve played about 15 hours, and despite some weaknesses and minor complaints, I enjoyed pretty much all of them. Wanna shoot, stab, and otherwise viciously maim Nazis for a good cause, while enjoying some really good characters? Wolfenstein 2, ladies and gentlemen.

As great as it is frustrating, Nioh 2 will resonate more with people who like the thrill of constantly dying suddenly. The game is brutal, the camera kind of sucks, and a lot of the enemies get old fast. But it's also got extraordinary depth and a bevy of complicated systems that offers players plenty to dig into.

While it does have some notable flaws, namely a somewhat messier campaign progression, Total War: Warhammer III still manages to impress. With multiple factions and legendary lords to choose from, along with a plethora of improvements to existing mechanics, you're bound to have one hell of a good time.

A challenging real-time tactics experience in the old Wild West, Desperados III pulls no punches in its quest for old-school magic.

A port surprisingly free of graphics options still benefits from being the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous way to play an amazing game.

Monster Train is a very unique take on the Slay the Spire formula, with great writing and art direction and gameplay that invites you back for many more rides.

Titanfall 2 offers the complete package: a solid, inventive single-player campaign that manages to avoid being yet another cover shooter with respawning enemies, combined with a frenetic and unique multiplayer mode.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights does have a few issues. Overall, though, it more than delivers thanks to vibrant visuals, top-notch Metroidvania platforming, and challenging Souls-like combat.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey puts the franchise back on the map as a critical darling. There's no malaka here whatsoever as it just "Greeks" of goodness. The story and characters are engaging and there are tons of activities to do. Greek culture and locations are a wonder to behold. Barring a few caveats, this has been a stellar offering for the franchise.

Cyberpunk 2077 has some glaring flaws and missed opportunities. Its open-world sandbox suffers from poor NPC and police AI, and it lacks customization and transmogrification features to help your character stand out. Still, the pros outweigh the cons owing to a brilliant narrative, memorable missions, strong supporting cast of characters, well-integrated combat and hacking mechanics, and jaw-dropping visuals.

A fantastic new addition to the Dirt franchise. Less approachable for new players but clearly the best outing from Codemasters in years.

The latest iteration of Formula One racing games, the pinnacle of motorsport. 8. Overall, F1 2021 still provides an unrivaled and amazing racing experience thanks to its MyTeam and Career modes, as well as a multitude of options to help fine-tune your racing style. Unfortunately, it's marred by a disappointing and disjointed Braking Point flagship story. Moreover, the improvements and changes to existing modes aren't as impactful as I had hoped. As such, if F1 2021 isn't as compelling if you extensively played last year's offering.

With hardly any flaws or shortcomings, Risk of Rain 2 more than delivers. Its pulse-pounding, off-the-wall, challenging action, combined with countless secrets and unlockables, are sure to entertain and excite you. Play in short bursts or an hour until you scream, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" -- you're bound to enjoy every minute of it.

Inscryption's twists and turns are hit-or-miss, but the game's oddities are worth experiencing for yourself.

Anyone fond of multi-player centric games that require teamwork and likes to fill a specific role will almost certainly find something to enjoy in Deep Rock Galactic. It's a great way to spend time with friends and has a lot of content depending on how much you mind doing the same things over and over again. Anyone who strongly dislikes repetition will probably get sick of it after a while, though.

There are a few misgivings related to Wasteland 3's technical aspects, mechanics, and overall challenge. However, its cast of characters (both old and new), the switch to a traditional turn-based combat system, and branching paths filled with decisions and dire consequences make for a superb journey with the Desert Rangers.
